I hope people who were left waiting to read the resolution are still interested to see how it ends. For that I can only apologize. Somehow it got into my mind that it had been only a couple years since I posted chapter 3 of "Unresolved Paths". It wasn't when I went to do the FA "previous/next" link thing that I saw it had been over 9 years! >.<

Hopefully you will be pleased at the ending, and maybe surprised at the turn of events. I want to make a sketch or two about events that happen between Grell speaking at the terrorclaw assembly and the last scene of the story. I may have to compromise on one of them because of FA's rules, though.

Anyway, I hope those who were waiting for so long get a chance to read it, and let me know what they think of it.

As the title says, me and Hamakei will be spending some time in Germany, going there the 5th and spending some 8 or so days. Our schedule is already set so I don't know if there would be time to meet fans along the way (and I already forgot where we will be each day).

Has anyone noticed that timestamps seem to show the wrong time in FA?

For some time already the timestamp on submissions is showing incorrectly on my side. They are all showing one hour ahead of what they should be according to my timezone. For example, I live in the UK, which is currently same as GMT. If I click "Browse", and then the first submission on that page, it will show the time as one hour more than what it should be -- ie, if it is currently 4:06PM, that submission will show some time around 5:06PM, give or take a minute or so.

Moreover, changing my time zone in the account settings to get around this incorrect timestamp does not fix the problem. The time will still show one hour ahead of what it should be, no matter which time zone I choose. And yes, I know that I have to put in my password to make any changes on that page.

I already opened a ticket but have received no response. I tried putting in the feedback section on Discord, and it will not let me post unless I choose a "tag", but no option to choose. :/

Hello. Just wanted to share some future plans with you all -- or at least those who read this. ;)

-- My next posting will be a story, namely my (way, way overdue) final chapter of "Unresolved Paths". I finally got the inspiration to finish it; the bulk of it was written a long time ago, and I think I shared it with someone, even. But I am now cleaning it up, adding more dialogue, fixing a few plot/timing holes, and adding details to some scenes, as well as removing parts that only seemed to drag the ending after the main conflict was resolved. (The last one still could make its way here, if I get to write something with them.)

-- For those who remember my idea for a "Dinos A to Z" series, I resumed my work on it. I had put it in the back burner after I realized it would be a challenge to draw and ink the drawings on paper before I could start coloring each one as I finished their respective inks. Knowing myself, I would certainly find errors during the inking stage, which would add time and annoyance. But now that I have developed my digital drawing skills to the point I am comfortable drawing on my tablet, the idea seems less challenging. I already posted the "Apatosaurus" sketch to my Bluesky, so you can follow me there (hint, hint) if you would like to see more of those in the future.

-- As I mentioned in one of my two versions of my latest pic (more on that later), I have a few 3D renders already done, waiting for the moment when it feels like the right time to post them. As I said then, I don't want to post a bunch of what could be some "downer" situations at once or soon after each other.

Last, I'm a bit surprised at the reception at my last drawing, which got more positive reactions than previous works with similar themes. Thanks to those who seemed intrigued about the idea and commented on it. And I see that the version with a story got more comments, but the presence of dialogue seems to get more views and faves than the one without text; it was like this with about each one of those pics where I have done so. That doesn't mean I will add more dialogue bubbles to more pics; it will be only on those that I feel it may add more to the image than a text-less variant. It also doesn't mean that I will post many more dark images -- as much as I like the ideas my mind conjures, I have far more that are not dark, and I want to make those available for you to see and/or read. The images brought the inevitable exodus of some people, but it also brought a few new followers as well. To my new followers, thanks for wanting to see more of my work. And for those of you who are already following, thanks for already doing so and your interest. *carno hugs*

One half sleepy and tired carno here...

I arrived back home yesterday after a 9-day trip to my old living grounds in Colorado. The main purpose was to attend the wedding of a good friend and former coworker. Myself and  Hamakei left and arrived on the 8th after a 9-hour flight to Denver. During the first days we visited my old neighborhood, as well as a few other places I wanted to get some things from -- hello, Microcenter and Walmart, the latter for some goodies that aren't sold in the UK), closed my remaining bank account in Denver, and showed Hamakei a few places related to my life in Colorado (some of which I will reserve for personal reasons).

We picked up  Zilchwoofs two days later, and the three of us went to Casa Bonita (which I never visited under its original ownership). After the wedding the three of us headed towards Cortez, in southwest Colorado, a long drive from Denver through twisty mountain roads, passing through Fairplay (the inspiration for South Park). After a night's rest, we headed to Four Corners monument, and from there to the Grand Canyon, two places I had never visited despite living relatively nearby for over 20 years. Then another rest in Cortez before heading back to Denver. Another day in Denver before dropping Zilch at the airport early the 16th, after which Hamakei and I visited a small museum in Aurora and the Air museum near old Stapleton before it was our turn for the long flight back to London, followed by a train and bus rides to get home. We came home to find that Hamakei's parents had brought our piggies back that same day some time before our arrival.

Time for this still jet-lagged dinosaur to rest from this vacation.

Not gonna take sides as to whether it was the right or wrong decision, but I have to wonder -- if something was removed because it was supposedly a slur, what's going to keep people from using the words in the tags?

Given that FA display names are not unique, anyone using the same display name but whose account is *NOT* "kaa" would not be the real me, so please be on the lookout for scammers.

It was my own choice. I was not using the site much, as it was a bit hard to gain any traction in there before it became a bastion of AI pics after the owners decided to embrace it, so I figured it was time to call it quits.

I didn't think it was worth leaving any of my pics there, so the whole thing has been removed.

Lately I've been struggling a bit trying to get drawings done. It seems like I can't seem to get anatomy right, and every drawing takes far longer than usual as I keep redrawing limbs and other parts, trying to get everything to look right.

I'm not sure if age could have something to do with it. I don't want to think it could be affecting my work, but I am wondering if it is a possibility. I realize I have never been a stellar artist, but it seems like my drawing is going backwards with the struggles I've been encountering.

Have you or anyone you know has been through similar situation? I don't expect a solution, but maybe some insight on why I feel that drawing is a struggle as of late.

Made it back home earlier today. It was a rather interesting trip; the weather turned to be rather annoying at times -- Scotland in winter is not like, say, Colorado in the same time period when it comes to snow, but enough fell at times to be a bit of a bother.

As everyone has probably noticed, tag filters have been finally added to FA. The filtering of images with no tags shows me how many of my old pics I need to tag for those who choose to hide such submissions. 😆

I had debated for some time whether to create a separate account for my more extreme ideas, as I often lose followers every time I post some of it. I know those ideas are not everyone's cup of tea, so hopefully the filtering will help people who may not want to see the thumbnails as well. As the title says, I was approved for an extension to my visa. So that's another thing off me and Hamakei's back until 2027 when it will be time to apply for an "indefinite leave to remain". Once that is done I will be able to stay in the UK without having to apply for another visa or becoming a UK citizen. The latter is another bridge that I may or not cross, depending on what may get to happen both here and in the USA.

That's it. Just something for those who may be interested in how this old Carnotaur is doing.

Still going about life, as usual. It has been a bit over two years since I made the final move to the UK, so I figured I would let people know how I'm doing.

-- It was time to renew my UK resident visa, so  Hamakei and myself went to see a lawyer who specializes on immigration, to which we provided with a lot of paperwork, and details on all trips I made out of the country (to where and for how long). Basically, providing evidence that I am actually living here and am not gaming the system. We hope to get an answer within a couple months or earlier, although the lawyer does not anticipate there will be problems to get the approval. After that, another long period until we can apply for "indefinite leave to stay". I've been asked by a few fans if I want to apply for citizenship, which I may or not do. Not much incentive, other than having the right to vote here. And maybe make sure that I can stay if some future government decide to do some fishy maneuvers to get some people out.

-- One of my former coworkers from a job I had in Denver is getting married next year, and she invited me and my hubby to her wedding. So I'll be visiting my old neighborhood of Denver this September, and afterwards a short road trip to a couple places I have not been. All this provided that the US is still a sane country come September.

-- My Patreon is paused at the moment, and given my slow throughput this month, I will likely pause it next month as well. Come January I can start the talk with Uncle Sam about getting an early retirement, so at that point I will decide whether to continue the Patreon or not. Frankly, having to still pay taxes to Uncle Sam even while living in another country is a bit annoying. :/

This time I added the "(Resized 9/2024)" part at the top of each image's description, as the titles in the thumbnails page started looking crowded. As for "Domination", it is a fav of many folks so I made an exception for it. I had to do 3 scans in order to capture everything without scanning effects because of the size of the original drawing, and my scanner is currently in a location that makes it a bit tricky to handle very large documents. Those marked with an asterisk were changed slightly from the original uploads. "Aliens" had the glass effect removed since the file with it was not editable (my mistake), while "Snake Coils" the background was changed later on and I did not have the original for it anymore. In addition, both "Softwind" and "Moondancer" were changed to "Mature" since the lighting makes a few bits noticeable, and I already got chewed by some FA admin about "bulges" and stuff (while conveniently ignoring popufurs that do the same). 🤷‍♂️
