It's not time that heals a wound, it's how you go around trying to heal it yourself.

I grew up with just my mum around, and we keep in close contact. She's a wee darling, so she is~

Not often, the harsh realities of life can be a real downer. I don't like to be completely ignorant, though.

Feeling happy is a wonder to your confidence.

I never knew what I wanted to be; even in the later years of high school. I want to entertain; to make others happy.

Lots of times. I am really thankful for every chance I was given.

More of a taker, I'll admit. But I try to give back in other ways as much as I can.

I crashed my bicycle going down a downhill road and knocked my front tooth clean out. Three weeks off school. D:

Losing my job. Many things I'd worked hard for were shattered and left in pieces.

I suppose up until now, I've been mysterious about my identity. The only thing most of my watchers know about me is the kind of stuff I draw and favourite. But it's not about my interests within the community, no no no - you can find that HERE. Don't click if you don't wish to be exposed to a large list of what I do and don't like. In saying that, I've been known to roleplay over messenger clients, but despite what's on that list - I tend to roleplay out "clean" situations.

~PERSONALITY~

I like to draw and doodle from time to time, play games, listen to various styles of music and do silly voices.

Online, I'm fairly sociable and sing-songy through comments, notes and IM. I like private messaging and 1-on-1 conversations. I'm a bit reclusive around group channels or chatrooms. Offline, I'm initially open and "Nice to meet you!", followed by a barrange of curious questions. And if I was introduced to you by someone else, I'm probably going to shy away to let you socialise with the person you were initially hanging out with~

Once I've warmed up to someone, though - I tend to be very open and expressive; squeaking at things here, cooing at adorable things, raising the pitch of my voice in dramatic surprise, yelling a manly roar during games and such~ In addition to that, I'm cynical about a lot of things, though I don't mean to be!~ Sometimes I can be a little -too- open and come across as offensive or rude. I don't mean that either!~

Hrm...I can't seem to think of any more~

I often wondered if I was naturally just indifferent to emotions at times; but I think it's just my easy going nature that skips a lot of feelings where others can get really riled up with.

But watching films, cartoons or even just seeing people cry on TV seems to steal some tears from my eyes. I didn't think that I was emotional enough to cry during sad scenes.

A key example is the scene on the first Pokémon movie where Ash is turned to stone. As soon as Pikachu starts to cry, my gut tenses and I start crying too. Like little invisible onions being peeled right in front of you.

What about you peeps? Anything that makes you physically cry when you didn't expect it?

I turn 25 on Thursday - and some of my family is coming down as of Tuesday to celebrate it with me. Because of this, I probably won't be submitting much until they leave on Thursday evening.

I've been brooding over the quality of my artwork for quite some time now, and it was nice to get feedback pointing out the same things I had noticed. I feel that I've been focussing too much on the face, to draw the attention away from the body. But I'm looking into branching out and trying to be a little more flexible and make poses look more like they were intended.

So if I were to open commissions again, would anybody be interested? Whether it be your own idea or even the Chibi Foxes again.

I'm constantly trying to better myself as an artist; for the benefit of your viewing pleasure, and for my own progression. I feel that over the last few years, my art has improved in style as well as quality. Back in the days where I had only my wireless mouse as an art tool in Photoshop, it was such a thrill to finally attain a graphics tablet.

So my question to you is this: What do YOU think? Do you think my art has improved? Gotten worse? Taken a wrong turn? Do you think there could be things I could improve on? Or themes and poses that I should explore a little more?

I realised a while back that some people that I followed had migrated to InkBunny - so in order for me to keep following them, I had to create an account on InkBunny to get updated on their submissions. Whilst I was there, I realised that it wouldn't be just artists that migrated away, but also followers who follow the followed. In realising this, I started submitting artwork on FA and IB simultaneously so that the people who only use one site or the other, would be able to stay in receipt of my submissions.

Now I know that there are several reasons why people use one site over the other - but the Popular tab of InkBunny displays a bunch of random select submissions out of the most popular roster of artwork over the last 3 days. And in doing so, I generally see the same type of themes; cub art, diapers, Sonic porn and ponies.

This journal is not about my opinion of what I like and don't like in terms of artwork. I watch who I watch and you can find out what I like from what's in my favourites. I'm also speculating this topic and not directly trying to insult or offend anybody who does this. But for some reason, many people have attained this "I don't go to InkBunny because it's full of porn or goes to extremes of the themes I like." But, if you don't go to IB because of porn - why are you still on FA, where there is easily just as much porn, if not more? There are Acceptable Upload Policies (AUP) that state what you can and can't submit, but both websites have porn.

The same goes for people who use DeviantArt over FurAffinity because FA is for "furry weirdos". Well, there's furry weirdos on DA too, y'know. :/

Let me know what you think about all of this, but please don't argue with each other in the comments - we all have different opinions and I'd like to hear yours, not hear you disagreeing with each other.

I've been brooding over this character of mine for a while now - and nothing I've come up with has seemed to suit the character in general. But only recently, have I thought that "Tufty" sounds somewhat suitable, given his tufty fluffy ears.

Feel free to suggest or critique the choice, or if you have your own - I'd like to hear your feedback.

I've often wondered about how there are so many of us in this world; yet I find it amazing to meet so many different people with different personalities, attitudes, opinions and lifestyles. Especially in the workplace or in school. And upon working in retail for a few years, it was a huge eye-opener to the different "flavours" of people that you get a taste of. I, myself, taste like blue raspburrah~

I'm 24 years old. And I'd say my social skills are sufficient enough to greet people, talk to them for a few minutes, before moving on to the next person. Working in retail is ideal for that kind of communication. But even to this day; socialising with someone is still a bit of an issue for me. I certainly try, don't get me wrong. But my interests are usually fairly narrow - and most often subjects that get redundant after a while.

That's kind of where professionalism comes into this journal. I've been in jobs where professionalism is of the utmost importance; even if it's only between colleagues. Smartly dressed, personable and with a rigid persona. For someone like me, those kinds of requirements choke me. But I've also had jobs where uniform is provided, but you can still communicate on a less formal level - and heck, we even messed around to the extent of squirting water at each other. But despite all the carrying on and fun atmosphere, we always god the job done on time. And usually with plenty of time to spare!

So what I'm branching off onto now is what professionalism and even how differently people act in public as opposed to private. If you've ever watched shows with characters in it; you will usually find a hyperactive character who will act this way in all situations. But for a lot of people, it's not the same. You have to "hide" your true self to the public, because it's deemed inappropriate. I've been caught squeaking when I hurt myself or lose my balance, and I've also been known to get annoyed in a comedic and childish manner. But what would people think or say if they saw me doing it in public? Weird looks and negative opinions of me that they keep to themselves. First impressions always seem to be the most memorable.

Sure, I could be the type of person who could care less about what people think and just be myself in public. But I "do" consider what people are thinking about me - and it bothers me that it matters so much. But on the other note, it's more of the concept of wanting to please everybody - and avoid any negativity.

And so, I become a reserved person - only really showing my true self to those close to me. Or at least to people whom I may never meet in real life. FurAffinity, Messenger programs and YouTube, for example. And even with having friends you can be more comfortable around; there's still things that you do and like that you can't share with them. Either because they don't like it (or you know they won't like it), or because you're worried what they might think.

I suppose to finish off; I'd like to be myself around more people - but the fact that the general public as a whole just doesn't want to see it. Or at least, that's how I feel. The same is with your opinions and views on things. I hold back a lot of things I'd like to say, because I'm worried that somebody will disagree with it. And I would prefer to avoid the confrontation and possibly upset somebody.

On and off the sleepy tablets at the moment. They're interfering with my drive to do anything other than slump around watching TV or videos/games. Staying off them means I start scratching agaaaain. D:

Regrettably, I've had to cancel any pending commissions and I've refunded the commissioners who've had to wait.

Due to my current medication, I've lacked the drive to do pretty much anything on a day-to-day basis. But I plan to get off them as quickly as I can.

Thanks to everyone who's commissioned me up until now - and an additional thanks to everybody who still watches me. I -will- be drawing again when the time is right.

My skin broke out in rashes all over my arms, legs and neck to the point that scratching it was leaving rows of blood and just making matters worse. It's not uncommon for me to get rashes every so often, but they usually go away after a couple of days. This time it has escalated badly to the point I needed to see a doctor.

So I've been prescribed steroid creams and drowsy tablets until it goes away. Thought I was doing alright until the tablets hit me pretty heavy, and I can barely concentrate. So art and stuffs might be somewhat postponed until I regain my clarity.

Also, passed my first exam. Yay~

All of the chapter exams are over. Just got the big exam to do in about a week's time.

Finally got around to finishing one commission, and one more left to go~

I suppose it's nice to keep everybody up to date on what's been happening. I went up to the Highlands to visit my family and I was scheduled to come back this Friday; but I got a call for a job interview asking me to come back down three days earlier than I had planned. Hence, why I'm back earlier.

I had such a headache yesterday, which only got progressively worse as the day went on. |<;; On top of that, my train had to make a requested stop at Dalmarnock to let a bazillion football fans on. It didn't take long to fully occupy all the seats on the train. The noise just made my headache worse.

And by the time I got home, it hurt so much I could barely think properly. My flatmate was generous enough to provide me with a couple of paracetamol and I was drinking glass upon glass of water to keep myself hydrated. It still wouldn't go away. So I decided to head off to bed. Though one thing I did notice; is that tilting my head backwards made the pain ease up a lot. Helped towards easing the pain, but it meant I couldn't see my computer screen. x3~

So I'm back now, off to my job interview this morning, then I've got the rest of the day to myself! Got a few commissions still to finish off; but I imagine I'll be getting through them as soon as possible.

Baaaaa~ Fwah~

I have a job interview tomorrow; so I got called back from my holiday early. I'll be heading back down home today - and things will hopefully be back to normal.

I'll say more about it when I get back; but for now - I'm off!

My brother's 12th and my sister's 18th are coming up in the next two weeks, so I'm heading up to the Scottish Highlands to visit 'em. I'll be taking my tablet with me, so there's a chance I might be uploading things and stuff.

I'll be leaving tomorrow morning (Saturday 30th July) and returning just short of two weeks (Friday 12th August) - it'll be a nice break, that's for sure.

Annoyance is a sign of the inability (or the choice to be unable) to rise above an issue and not get butthurt about it.

But there is just one little tiny wee thing that bothers me. It's when you check your notifications, to see that one sole person has favourited several of your pictures. In a row. Or maybe just even one pic! So you decide to check that user's page, to see what kind of art they're interested in. And in the few minutes ago they had favourited your picture(s), their Favourites page is filled with tons of pictures that they favourited just a few seconds ago.

I mean, thanks for taking the time to favourite my stuff; but geez - how does one keep track of that?

I'm a lover of art quality and art content. But I have this line. A line that defines what art I like, and what art I feel is worth, not only viewing for my own pleasure; but wanting to share with others. And because I like to keep my Submission Notifications to a minimum; I'm not flooded with tons of art updates. I like to browse at my own leisure, and usually I'll come across an artist I've never even seen before. As a token of my interest; I will favourite their picture and sometimes comment too!

But, this is really only a perspective. If you are someone who likes to favourite lots of things, please share your reasons for it. I would love to hear other people's opinions and perceptions. I bear no ill will or think less of you for it.
