I thought I'd update soon regarding my last journal entry. Let's just say I was struggling with getting quality sleep for the past few days until my body and mind eventually allowed me to bawl my eyes out and had a good 20+ sleep LMAO. Slept well, though my body felt sore for sleeping too long lol. Anyway, my head's much clearer now and seeing how time flies so fast I think it's best to start grinding before May ends.

I have been notified that a friend from college had passed. I remember one of my last conversations with him was planning to visit him some day to hang out and check if their cat can still remember me (as I had the opportunity to catsit her twice). But due to not being able to give myself time to step back from work and personal stuff to execute the plan, I never got to do that. It sucks now that the only time I get to visit them is during their wake. I know life can give us surprises out of nowhere, but I can't help but feel a bit frustrated while grieving over the loss. I wasn't particularly super close to this friend, but I still feel some kind of connection probably 'cause of the catsitting days. Honestly, this is the first time someone within my friend circle leave like that, and it's a lot to process.

I initially planned to make one more Mermay YCH for this month, but it looks like I'll have to cancel that and give myself time to feel things. For anyone waiting on their commission, don't worry I'm still working on them. It'll just take a bit longer to send updates while this is all happening.

I guess all I can say to all of you for now is to cherish the people you care while they're here. Have a good day, everyone.

I didn't had the time to make a new year piece before 2024 came, so uh I guess I'll put my greeting in words here :) a bit late but happy new year everyone!

I honestly never thought I'd be super active here posting my works on FurAffinity. For those who supported me throughout the years - whether its adding my art to your fave collection or commissioning me, I sincerely thank all of you! Making art for a living has been my #1 stable source of income as other jobs I took was just too stressful to stuck around (not so great work environment or incentives usually with so little to earn LOL) or I never just heard back from the dozen of job applications I sent out XD. And even if I was just posting art for my personal enjoyment, it still brings me joy that I get to do what I love the most and there are a handful of folks who like looking at them.

Well, I do have another stable job now as a virtual assistant that has been pretty good to me for the past few months (technically working with the same client over a year but we migrated to a new company lol). It's one reason as stated from my previous journal entry that I'm posting less of my YCH auctions so I can slowly pump my personal works (looking at you WIP folder lmao). This is also to ensure that I don't go through another burnout haha. Maybe I'll also finally have more time and energy to post some fan art I've always wanted to make heh.

Anyway, stay tuned for more art this year!

Well, I can use my personal paypal for now while I try to sort that thing out. I'm thinking of using an alternative though in case things don't go well. It looks like Gcash can accept payments through Skrill, moneygram, etc. I'll keep that as an option aside from taking payment through my personal account (might have to use my ko-fi and switch the linked Paypal account). If Payoneer is fine, that will be another option. I just need to set up my account XD

Now, for the life part. I'm taking it slow in working on my backlogs so rest assured that commissions will be done as soon as I can (hoping to finish all this month but unless holiday schedule is tight, things will be pushed back to January 2024). I was recovering from a flu this week so I got slowed down for a bit.

Anyway, ones the backlogs are clear I may not continue posting YCHs for a while. It's about time I focus on my personal projects. I'll be posting more personal art moving forward. Here's to hoping that 2024 will be a good year!

I think I've come to realize that the heavy feeling I've been getting for the past few weeks is, well, a burnout. Rearranging my workspace, cleaning, and decluttering didn't work much like it used to. Even playing chill music or any background noises (Let's Play videos, stream VODs, audiobooks, etc.) seems to not work at the moment.

With that happening right now, it is to expect that completion of each commission will be delayed. I appreciate everyone's patience while I give myself a short break.

If you're waiting for any updates on your commission, I'll send them out throughout this week. It's the least I can do before I take a big short rest ^^'
