Hi ladies and gents. An artist I regularly commission,  KawaiiJumi is having a NSFW YCH auction. She hasn't done an auction before, so I'm doing what I can to give her a boost. The post can be found here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/17369713/

She does some very lovely work, and she's working on meeting some goals for various art equipment, so if you're interested, give it a look. Additionally, if you might have advice on how to advertise and get the word out, she'd appreciate the feedback.

So, some of you I talk to with regularity; others we're complete strangers and you might be watching me just because you saw something neat that you liked in my gallery. This'll be a question open to both sides of that spectrum and everyone in between.

As you may or may not know, I aspire to be a writer, and I work with my boyfriend on various projects. I've posted short plays in my  FeltonIrregulars gallery, and I've posted little story snippets my mate has made. I'm presently editing an adult story we collaborated on; I've got a massive story project I'm always working on but need to buckle down and WRITE for; I have plans to turn all the plays I've written into stories, but write now I'm looking at a much longer play that I made called 'Monster and Me' about a little girl and the monster under her bed that I'm planning to transform into a story of sorts (whether it will be short or longer is a matter that undetermined at this time)... What I'm coming down to is that I have a lot of plans, and a lot to work on. Things that I'm planning, eventually - once I have things written out and worked up - to start offering them for sale digitally, most likely through Amazon or something (another thing I have to figure out)... And when I do, I want to have cover art for these stories.

That's the question. Who here would be willing to do cover art? What would your expectations be regarding the initial commission, and future compensation since this IS something that would be contributing to my own profit? I'd be agreeable to paying a percentage of sales - but I'll be honest, starting out, I'd probably only be charging $1-$2. Nobody knows my writing, I don't have a name in the writing world - I'm not going to be making much for a while, if I do get anyone interested. Plus, I'm sure whatever site I'm selling it through will charge a fee. I don't know what will be fair to the artist while still making some sort of profit for myself.

This isn't something that will be happening in the terribly near future; it'll take me time to at least finish editing out this adult story, and lord knows how long I'll be on the actual "Man-Eaters Anonymous" story or "Monster and Me." But I'm wanting to get more serious about pursuing my writing as my career, and this is something that I'm thinking about for later. I'd really like to start working on short stories and putting them up to both get my work out there and perhaps make a little money so I can both contribute to my household financially and focus more on the work I want to do rather than the rather shitty day job I presently have.

So. Do any of you have ideas for how this might work, suggestions - do any of you have experience with this sort of thing? Are any of you interested in this sort of thing? If so, please, share and let me know. Comment below or send me a note. I appreciate any input you have to offer.

So an artist I go to regularly for my M.E.A. character headshots, ;iconKawaiiJumi: is getting more active with their F.A. account, and is also wanting explore other artistic media. To that end she's trying to save up for various equipment to contribute to that desire. She does gorgeous work for some amazing prices, and even if you can't throw her some money to help her towards her equipment needs (and get some stunning work in the process), you can at least spread the word and let your friends know about her, maybe?

On the off chance anyone is paying attention to this - I'm letting you guys know that as of tomorrow, I'm moving all my Man-Eaters Anonymous art to a new account:  FeltonIrregulars. All the art I've commissioned for M.E.A. will have a new place there, while this account will become solely for everything else featuring art of other random characters of mine or my mate (that he gives me permission to post, at any rate). In addition, on that account I'll also post little things on the journal here and there relevant to my project. I'll also be attempting to put up M.E.A. short stories, written either by myself, my mate, or a collaboration from both of us, either on their own or associated with art existing/future art.
