I was clearing my submissions and realized my last Journal is from 2018, wow! My most notable news is that my Fiancee and I have moved to Australia for two years. We've been here since late February, before the world went to shit, and have been exploring Melbourne and cities around the south of Victoria. It's beautiful, and there are Kangaroos around every corner.

So, as of now I have one commission on my plate. It's going to be quite the challenge! An owl/dragon hybrid with a few new features such as shaved textured feathers, and pose-able eyelids.

I'm also doing a trade with go check them out! They're huge range of styles is very impressive, and I look foreword to seeing what they come up with :D

In the future I'm hoping to make a new head for Kahla as well. Her current one just doesn't do me justice anymore. It will most likely be toony, as I'm trying to branch out more from my usual semi-realistic.

As for future cons, right now I'm planning either CONvergence or Anniminneapolis. You will probably see me at FurryMigration this year as well!

Crises was averted, lol. I found a room for my girlfriend and I a few hours after my last journal was posted.

We currently have 3 people in our room, and need one more! Our room is in the DoubleTree, which is connected to the Hyatt via skywalk and fairly close. However, there is the possibility we will be moving over to the Hyatt if a room opens up. Note me if you're interested :D

I’ve finally done it, I’ve made a FurAffinity page for TwitchinWhiskers! I’m still in the process of uploading my current gallery there, but please go take a look and give me a watch! First off I wanted to say that this summer has been going by so fast....and I've been so extremely busy! I'm just about to finish the head for and then I'll have the head for finished by the week after.

With the last month of summer approaching it's starting to get really crazy around my house, as I just signed the lease for my first apartment! It's going to be a huge job organizing/packing/moving but hopefully I'll have time to squeeze in my final head for the summer. It's going to be a blue/black/white sergal with orange accents (eyes, mouth) and other unique details. I plan on auctioning the head off on furbuy, or just taking offers on here--I'm not sure. So keep an eye out for that! I've also had a skeletal blank sitting around my house for ages that I want to finish and put up for sale as well..

Finally I would like to talk about me and my sona Kahla. Kahla was my first fursuit design back in 2012, and I pretty much based her off of fur's that I found beforehand and really liked how the color combination worked together. I declared her to be my fursona because I had no other characters at the time and she was my first personal suit. Now that I've had her for a decent amount of years it's definitely time for an overhaul. I'm still going to keep Kahla, as now she is pretty much the face of my business; but I'm designing myself a new character that will portray who I am and become my new fursona. The design is getting closer and closer to completion and I can't wait to show you guys... I've already been looking into furs for the new suit.

Copyright law is about to change

For more than a year Congress has been holding hearings for the drafting of a brand new US Copyright Act. At its heart is the return of Orphan Works

What does this mean for artists? it means it will make it easier for infringers to steal artists works and harder for people who are making or trying to make a living out of art more difficult. This will effect every artist and all the artwork they have created, are creating, and will be created. Corporates, Big businesses, and publishers want this to pass to make money out off artists works without paying us artists for past, current, and future artwork.

What exactly is the big change?
Right now under current law, the moment you create a piece of artwork, it's instantly protected under copyright law with you as the copyright holder, meaning if someone infringes on your rights by creating deriverate works upon your work, or simply marketing/using it without your permission, you get to sue and claim it. You are in charge and control of what happens with your work.
With the law change your art will no longer be protected from the moment it's created; rather, you have to register each and every work individually with profit organisations to make your rights legitimate.
Sucks big time, right? First of all ain't nobody got time for this and secondly, my work is mine, and should be acknowledged as such always.
This law opens doors and gates for corporations to leech off our work without paying us anything. This law change does not have the benefits of the individual artists in mind, it only cares for corporations to make quick and easy bucks off our works.

So please, look into this, spring to action, and SHARE IT, so more people can learn about it!
It's not the first time that they tried to wiggle this law through, it's time to oppose and stop it again and claim our rights as they are! --


Even if you don't draw, maybe you write, take photos ANYTHING THAT IS ART. Post this and spread this like wildfire. We only have until thursday to get the word out and speak against this bullshit act!! Don't let congress take away our hard work and God given talents for their selfish reasons!!!
