Raising my Commission Prices
Posted 4 years agoAfter much deliberation and MUCH thought into this, I've decided that going forward, my commission prices will be raised. I truly believe I have hit the point in my art where I can do what's worth beyond $60. This thought process was also taking into consideration how much I'd been tipped.
Here's what I'm going with:
- Full color: $90
- Additional Characters: $30-$60
- Inked: $50
- Sketch: $30
I know this is gonna irritate some commissioners, but I genuinely believe I have broken barriers with my own art to do things that make it worth these prices.

Added Commissions tab to profile, with caveat
Posted 5 years agoHey all!
I've been asked before what my commission prices are on Twitter. To that end, I've decided to share my prices here on FA. Now when you view my profile there's a Commissions tab! But there's a couple of caveats if you commission me.
- First and foremost, I have full time work already! Please understand that due to the fact I work a M-F 8-5 (Yes, even during the pandemic), I'm not always going to be up for working on commissions. The weekends are usually the best time for me to sit down and do any sort of art. I am, however very communicative about the status of a commission. If you get nothing else out of it, customer support & communication is literally my best quality.
- DMs on FA are disabled. Sorry, but within the SAME DAY of returning I got one of those 'Hi' DMs. Nope, to heck with that. "How do we get a hold of you? :o" Twitter and email are the fastest ways! My Twitter is on my profile, [at]kahncub and if you really wanna get a hold of me privately (like it's absolutely must that you can't use a Twitter DM) lemme know and I'll provide my email. At which point once I receive the email I'll be hiding that comment. But DMs are remaining disabled on FA.
As an aside, it's legit better to pay me when I feel up for doing art than to pay me and wait. Inspiration and motivation need to line up with me. I hate the idea of people paying and having to wait, but I swear I have the best commissioners with the most infinite of patience that they just pay me and wait ;_;
That should be it! Also as of this posting, I currently have one sketch commission in the pipe I need to work on.
PS if you see me on Discord in a Mutual server we're in you can hit me up there as well for a commission.

Seriously, Thank You All!
Posted 5 years agoBeen monitoring statistics of submissions since I came back. For comparison sake, five, probably six years ago now when I moved entirely off of FA I noticed that people would mostly favorited things that I posted as commissions, or someone did the original work and I did all of the inking and coloring. If I posted my own original works it barely got any attention.
Now as of this posting, I have multiple images in the 20's, 30's and 40's of favorites (one of which will over take my most loved picture in mere hours, WOW!) I genuinely am so grateful. Thank you for finally believing in my art enough to share your appreciation with a click, a Fav or even a comment. It wasn't like this back then. But now that it is I won't take this appreciation for my art for granted.
Thank you all, so much!

Sketch work - There is love where I thought there was non...
Posted 5 years agoContext, I like paying attention to my submission statistics. Views, Favorites, Comments...I do some analysis on these numbers to see what, as a general idea are people looking at? What do they like?
In 12 hours, a sketch...not inked, colored or even fully finished except for being a sketch...has the second most favorites now, and is on a course to being one of my 3rd most viewed. After reviewing all of my submission stats again I can confirm that there is an audience for traditional sketchbook sketches. :)
So I just want to give a sincere thank you for giving love to my sketchbook submissions! It means a lot that there's an audience for these. <3

Current! ... Or Am I?
Posted 5 years agoThanks for bearing with the sudden art flood! You should not have that happen again from me on this profile. With that said, my gallery is current!
... Or is it? Do you have a picture that I drew that you would like to see added to my gallery? Commission, something older that I didn't post? Leave a comment with what it was, and I'll post it!

5 Year Hiatus Ends Today
Posted 5 years agoHello all,
Some of you might remember me, but I don't expect anyone too. My name is Kahncub Farina, and I have been gone from FA for over 5 years now. A lot has changed since then, particularly me as an artist. Why am I coming back?
Stormdragonblue gave me the encouragement as well as the motivation and insight as to why I should.
I don't know how often I'll check here, I stopped for a reason. But at the very least...I'm willing now to give things another try with FA.
If you're new, welcome! If you remember me, hello, nice to see you again!

Profile page disabled, Gallery cleaned out
Posted 10 years agoIn order to make a statement you have to take action, not just say it. With the IMVU news going around, fact, fiction, doesn't matter it's made me that much more uneasy going back on my word updating my FA page. I left everything up last time because I didn't want to disservice those that refused to move off of FA. You, who are probably reading this probably still refuse to move off of FA. But you won't find my art here anymore. At least not posted by me. So I'll say one, last, time.
My main gallery, as it has been since it's beta release is on Weasyl. https://www.weasyl.com/~kahncub Guaranteed the pieces you really liked are already on that gallery. They are gone from FA, not from the internet. Find me there, because you won't find me here.

Thanksgiving 2014: I am thankful for A LOT!
Posted 11 years ago2014 has been one of the best years of my adult life. The complete opposite of 2013, which was the worst year! I have a lot to be thankful for, so I just wanted to rattle off everything I have to be thankful for.
- Starting up at the top I’m thankful for my fiancee,
ciasmiviolette. 1 year engaged now, and she still wants to stay with me, where others did not. I am SUPER thankful to have Vesca in my life. Being in a relationship with her has been a game changer for the better. Thank you, Vesca. I love you.
- I am thankful to my room mate, Masque/
coyoteseattle. He was the catalyst in assisting me with getting the job where I’m at now. Because of him I’m making more money than I ever did, the job is low stress & each new problem is a unique challenge. Thank you, Masque for your assistance with that!
- I am thankful to my other room mate, Trysdyn AKA
amethe. Without her fronting the entire amount it took to move us back in July, we would have been put in a really shitty living AND financial situation that was fast approaching. Trysdyn is the reason the 3 of us moved & our Quality of Living improved. Thank you for that, and over 7 years of living together with me, Trys!
- I am thankful for having the dynamic duo of
Maootter and
Pantsuneko as friends. We’ve been the best of friends since 2008, and had a falling out last year. Since Thanksgiving last year, things between us have been fixed, and we’re back on track. I made some STUPID mistakes in 2013. I’m sincerely grateful that they were willing to give me another chance in 2014. May our bonds strengthen together and our friendship continue to move into the future!
- I am thankful for working TWO jobs where I could publicly come out as Transgender male-to-female and the staff I work with be respectful and supportive of that. Yes, two. In August I came out to my current job and as it turns out everyone was fine with it! I don’t expect the same thing that happened at my last job, where even the clients knew me as a female. But I am very grateful for the support and tolerance of my co-workers. Only in the bay area, man! I’ve been here over 10 years, and stuff like that has only gotten better.
- I am thankful to my new friends who I have met over this past year, particularly
fennecuskitsune, Kai Fox, Retto & Ohad, who are locals to me. These are great open minded people who I would love to spend more local time with. Jobs prevent us from doing so at the moment but we’ll make it happen! I am just thankful that they want to be friends with me
- I am thankful for
MifMaf, and everything he has done for me for over 7 years of friendship. Talking with me, helping me improve my art, being hard on my art because he saw that I could be better, playing video games with me. Mif is very cool, and for him to stick it out with me for nearly a decade I’m very grateful for him as a friend.
- Last but not least I am thankful for Final Fantasy XIV. That may sound weird but hear me out. Vesca & I live in Norcal and Socal respectively. The world of Eorzea has been a virtual connection that has actually brought us closer in our relationship. From dungeon runs to wearing cute clothes & just hanging out in Revenant’s Toll this MMORPG has brought us closer together because of the bond we’ve formed in game. Eorzea, and the FFXIV community is a wonderful place and I’m thankful for it and helping Vesca & I be closer.
Oh I lied about that being last but not least, but since it just happened this past weekend I just wanted to give a shout out that I am thankful for my family’s acceptance of me being trans. This past weekend everyone knew I was coming identifying as a female. With the exception of being called my legal birth name every so often I felt like I was one of the girls in the house. My moms’ (yes, plural) friends knew me as female and they were incredibly supportive. One of my aunts went so far as to get ENGRAVED JEWELRY WITH MY NAME ON IT! I was blown away by the support she has shown me, and to have such an awesome aunt like her in my family I’m incredibly thankful. Thank you, family for finally getting over the hump and seeing me as your niece & daughter.

Mario Kart 8 and Friend Requests
Posted 11 years agoHey guys,
Mario Kart 8 is right around the corner, and with Smash 3DS on the horizon this seems like a prime opportune time to start adding people to my Miiverse friends list. I want people I can play these two titles online with, so go ahead and add Kahncub if you plan to get MK8 or either version/both versions of Smash :3

Battle of the Diaper Butts! MifMaf VS Kahncub!
Posted 12 years agoSUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY! If you are a fan of watching a couple of thickly diapered furries fighting it out in a fighting game you will want to WATCH THIS EVENT ON SUNDAAAAYYYY! Super talented artist of some of the thickest diapers you've ever seen,
MifMaf takes on the passionate fighting game playing babyfur, Kahncub in THE KING OF FIGHTERS XIII! These two will go at it in a First to 10 battle in a game that NEITHER ONE OF THEM HAVE PUT MUCH TIME INTOOOO! This will make things fair as neither one of them are that good at this game.
BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE! Watching two diaper butts play a fighting game on a livestream? Some of you might find that boring and not worth your time. So this battle is going to be a bit more interesting than that! Both fighters will be diapered up IRL, and each will have a 4 pack of Wyder's Pear Cider by their side. WINNER HAS TO TAKE A DRINK! Keep in mind one important detail here: Kahncub is a REAL lightweight when it comes to alcohol! Just half a bottle and she's already a giggling mess! You can imagine she does NOT want to lose to many fights or this will be over before it really begins!
Tune in this SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY to http://www.twitch.tv/kahncub (Time to be determined, Kahncub is in California, MifMaf is in Finland) for a battle of the diaper butts!
(Edited slightly, thanks to Mif for pointing out my error :3)

An inflation meme? Sure, why not!
Posted 12 years ago1. Why do you like fat/inflation?
I love inflation for the hiss of air when it goes into a vinyl or latex inflatable. The volume and roundness inflation gives as things get bigger. The taut feeling of overinflating from the synthetic material. Also valves, because valves are cute!
2. Which is better? Fat or Inflation? And why?
Inflation, absolutely. See 1.
3. Would you consider your liking sexual or not?
80% No. But that last 20%...yes
4. Fat/Inflated guys or girls?
Both. Girls can have inflatable boobs which I find REALLY attractive/cute/sexy.
5. Do you like inflation furs who are latex or rubber instead of fur?
Considering that I am one and want to befriend others that are as well? YES! *Squeaks!*
6.Would your character prefer fat or inflation?
Inflatation, easily.
7.Opinion on slob furs.
No thank you. I've seen it, don't like it.
8. Opinion on vore.
Soft vore I am totally a fan of. Anything beyond "Soft" and no thank you.
9. Best type of fur to fatten or inflate?
From my personal experience, I think skunks are the best to inflate personally.
10. Do you like it when the inflated fur pops or the fat fur explodes?
Absolutely not.
11. Blueberry inflation?
Never done it before myself, but the concept is as fun as it was to think about in Willy Wonka!
12. What is one thing you don't like about fat/inflation?
Deflation/popping.
13. Who is the best inflation/fat artist?
To quote
jacfox here, "you can never just name one person"
14. If their fursona was real, who would you most likely force feed/inflate and huggle? (not your character)
:ciasmiviolette of course! Inflatable latex cow-moon hybrid who's also my girlfriend!
15. Do you like fat/inflation of characters from tv shows or video games?
Yes, I do!
16. Do your non fat fur or non inflation friends mind that you're into that stuff?
Not at all, in fact sometimes they sometimes get involved or tease me about it in good fun :)
17. Does your family know that you're into fat/inflation or that you're a furry?
Yes they know I'm a furry.
18. Do they approve of it?
Ehhh...more tolerate it than approve it.
19. Do you think it's fair to call it a "fat fetish" or "inflation fetish"?
I have an inflation fetish, so yes
20. Would you like a cookie?
Yes, please!

Cleaned up years of removed favorites
Posted 12 years agoHey guys!
If you are one of those people who likes to surf people's favorites lists, and (like me) hates that FA just replaces an image with "This image has been removed" icons, fear not. I did a massive cleanup spanning YEARS of favorites. You'll notice a distinct lack of Stormy, but the same would go for if you want directly to his gallery. So, feel free to take a look at my favorites now, and a lot of faves that were hidden back in previous pages probably got bumped up a couple pages.
Partly considering coming back (see details)
Posted 12 years agoSo I'll just throw this out there, my primary landing page for art will still be Weasyl, that's not changing.
Now that that's out of the way, I've been considering posting new art here again. There is a ton of art I have done since I left that never made it to a lot of people's eyes here. Frankly, the only reason I only kinda mind is some of these pictures are some of my best works yet and yet they still aren't getting the exposure I was hoping for from them. I don't really mind/care if I make new watchers/lose watchers for not posting art here anymore. But I'd really like more exposure. So with that I'm probably going to update my FA, DA and Inkbunny accounts to current, putting my commissions I want to show off on Inkbunny & Tumblr. It's the only place art I commission will go since I have such a small following there (that and until artists I commission from here get on Weasyl there's no point in uploading it there to offer it as a Collection.)
So, yeah...kinda going back on my word, but FA is still like, the last place I will think to upload on a regular basis.

Weasyl Hit Open Beta, Important Announcement
Posted 12 years agoHey guys!
I have not told everyone this yet because I waited for this to happen. Weasyl has officially gone into Open Beta, which means the site is effectively open to the public. No more need for an invite key to sign up to the site. What does this mean? It means I am posting all of my art almost exclusively on Weasyl! https://www.weasyl.com/profile/kahncub I completely understand that by doing this, it's like pressing the "Reset" button on my followers. But why? What reasons do I have to leave FA? Lots!
Features Weasyl offers me that FA doesn't:
- A much nicer looking profile page
- Folders
- Collections (Meaning the artist can offer a commissioner their piece of art as a "Collection" and vice-versa. This way the artist gets the credit for the work and the watcher still gets to post the work they got!)
- Livestream announcement functionality. Instead of the way people do it on FA with icons to go into picture submissions or FA journals, I can go to a dropdown, set "I'm streaming!" and it goes to watcher's notice list, AND goes to the front page as well. Then I can change the drop-down back and it's gone. Not to stay up on people's submissions.
- Customizable banner. Yes, I find this attractive enough to point out as it makes my profile page even more personal
- Faster load times browsing the site
- A checkbox to flag a submission for critique
As for what I will still be doing on FA? Not posting new art, leave what is already posted on the site (I won't be deleting images) and continuing to support my friends I watch until they make the move over. This means commenting and favoriting stuff on here that they don't have on Weasyl. What's the definition of "almost exclusive?" I still have my Tumblr at http://rubbercub.tumblr.com where I post stuff I'm not confident about showing to everyone, including my 365 Sketch-a-day progress (There's art you probably never saw related to that sketch-a-day.
So yeah! Follow me on there, or don't, it's up to you. I'd appreciate it if you did though! But I can't make you. All I know is I've been waiting for this site to launch and I can move to it :3

Commissions opened up!
Posted 12 years agoHey guys!
I had posted this back in December, and they have never closed in the first place. But as a reminder, I'm opening for commissions.
All commission prices are listed here: https://www.weasyl.com/profile/kahncub The reason they are ranges is because they are negotiable depending on what it is that you want. Sketch commissions can be done very quickly and I can have those out to you in no time.
Due to my new job the good news is it is part time, and therefore gives me a lot of free time to do inking and coloring. The bad news is the exact same reason, I have a new job I will be working. Therefore hours I can work on it are limited (weekends are free so I can bust them out then.)
I know you probably think I am not ready to be commissioned, but give me a chance. I shall be very communicative with you throughout the entire process. If you would like to commission me, please email me with [Commission] in the subject line at kahncub@gmail.com. This way I can file those emails appropriately and work on them as I get them.
Also I will check and see if the offer still stands that if you would like, Redflare500 can color commissions. I'll edit this post if it does. Sincere thanks in advance to anyone that gets even a sketch from me!

[Discussion] Comedy & Horror of the 30's VS today's
Posted 12 years agoSo I was thinking about this over the past couple of days and I've decided to get some input from people. There's something about comedy and horror of the days of old that makes it so iconic, so memorable that whenever anyone talks about it it's always talked about how great it is/was. When you try to recall something funny or something scary that happened in the 90's or 2000's, we struggle to remember. Most of the stuff is pretty forgettable save for some choice moments.
Take for example Abbot & Costello's Who's On First. You've heard it, you laugh at it now, and some of you probably memorized the WHOLE thing! Why though? What made that so funny? What made it so memorable that we pass this silly skit down our generations? But can you remember everything that happened in, say, Home Alone? I can't even remember half of the obstacles Joe Pesci & Daniel Stern went through. Which is sad because as a kid I loved this movie!
I'm going to exclude the 80's for horror by the way. By saying the 80's was crap for horror I would be doing a disservice to Jason Vorheese, Freddy Krueger, Pinhead, Michael Myers, John Carpenter and Stephen King (Or fuck we'll go so far as to say Sam Raimi and the Evil Dead movies). So in this next part please understand I am not referring to 80's horror.
Back then Universal and Alfred Hitchcock put horror and suspense in everyone's minds. They gave us Lon Chaney Jr, Bella Legosi and Boris Karloff to make the most iconic of creatures. That being The Wolf Man, Frankenstein, Dracula, The Creature from the Black Lagoon. Hitchcock also gave us one of the most iconic horror/suspense movies to this day, Psycho (If you have not seen Psycho, and all you know is the shower scene I highly suggest you do. It still sent a chill down my spine to watch.) But can you honestly say today's horror had ANY redeeming value to it? Anything that will make you go, that will be remembered for decades to come? My only thought on this is Jigsaw, from the SAW movies. Honestly I can only exempt 1 and 2, and maybe 3 from this discussion as Darren Lynn Bousman, creator of the SAW series didn't even want to keep making SAW. He wanted to get into making musicals, but Lions Gate Studios refused to let him until after SAW 3. At which point he gave us REPO! The Genetic Opera which was...oh my god fucking amazing.
But yeah, Darren didn't even want to keep making SAW movies after the first. Hence why they became less about the psychological aspect and more about wanting to spill the guts of a human being for gore effect. Not good, and actually excludes people like me from watching as I get physically ill from the sight of it.
So I ask you, the reader of this...what do you think made the 1930's classics of comedy and horror so memorable, age so well that it's just not the same when trying to think back to something more present day and go "that'll be remembered for a long time to come?"
