Hey everyone. i’m going to start out with the main reason for this update.
My commission progress may slow for the foreseeable future. I got news this afternoon that my younger brother died.
I’m not sure of all the details, he lived in Canada with our dad so i’m not there for any of this, but he struggled a lot with his mental health and insomnia. he overdosed, accidentally, last night from using over the counter medication to help
him sleep.
I’m not sure yet if i’ll be taking time off for a funeral. Since covid and different countries blah blah
If i do end up going i’ll be sure to let everyone know.



Otherwise, life has been relatively uneventful.
My mom moved in with us, temporarily, but that doesn’t change my day to day very much other than watching her dogs during the day.

I’m chipping away at my queue just a little slower than i’m happy with, but i have been making a lot of good progress. I’m going to try and organize myself soon so i can catch up properly with uploading here.

I’m hoping to officially reopen mid/late june

Hello everyone! To get to the meat and potatoes of this journal, i am CLOSING my commissions for now!
this is actually my first time that i’ve fully closed my commissions since i started taking them, which is a good 9-10 years.
(if you’ve messaged me about a commission and we haven’t finished discussing it, don’t worry! I’ll still accept it!)

My main reason for doing this is because i’m just tired. I’m burnt out and i’m behind on work. In 2019, i fell behind after visiting family out of state/country and as soon as i was doing better with that, covid happened! So i just continued to have to take on work without having the same output as i normally would.

So i’ll be using this break to catch up. If the world smiles on me, I’d like to take April and May off to catch up, and then use June to put some more work in to my Etsy and Patreon.
My end goal is to be able to balance my Patreon and commissions better, because i genuinely enjoy taking commissions, but i also want to work more on my own ideas and projects! Maybe finally get in to a rhythm with making comics or something! And finally start streaming again!

I do also plan to raise my commission prices before i open back up. Not everything is going to have a drastic price change, but i’m at a point where my time and effort is much greater than what i’m being paid.
I might still make some YCHs or take little doodles here and there while i’m closed too.

Hello everyone! I hope everyone’s year has been the best it can with the state of the world right now.

I made this journal for a few reasons! First off, I’m sorry my activity went down so much this year! The stress of covid really hit hard.
I’ve still been doing my best to work daily, but some days are just a lot harder. I’ve had to take on more commissions than usual, while giving a slower output.
In 2021 i am really determined to fix that!
Hoping the stimulus will give me at least a month where i can catch up without having to take on much new work.

To be clear, no one has been bugging me about commission waits! I encourage people to poke me for progress updates. I just feel bad all on my own.


In lighter news, what are some cool things that happened to you this year? I know it was pretty eventful for a lot of people!

I think my biggest accomplishment was starting HRT! it’s been 6? months since i started and i’m already loving the changes uwu

I think this was also the year i got my ipad?! it all blurs together. But god do i love my ipad. I hate that i blew off getting one for so long. it helps loads since i don’t always have the energy to set up in the office, and i get stir crazy when i’m out and i can’t work.

That’s kind of all I have to say for now! I had more in mind but i’ve lost it.

Hey guys! Just wanted to give another general update type thing since i haven’t been super duper active lately.

Biggest apologies for my lack of activity here btw 🙏 Covid times are taking a bit of a toll on my mental health, which i’m sure a lot of people can relate too. It just has me generally unmotivated and days slips by really quickly so before i know it, it’s been a week or two since i’ve uploaded ;o;

i am still working on art daily, though a little slower than usual. I am going to keep trying my best to upload more often though!!

I think i mentioned here that a few months back i took the leap and got an ipad, so i can now work whenever and where ever i want without having to worry about my laptop exploding on me
unfortunately said ipad essentially got the blue screen of death and i had to scrap it and get another one. But since i got cheapish and second hand i could at least make most of the money back from selling the broken one :’D

i also recently started taking testosterone!! i’m only three months in so far, i actually have a check up tomorrow for that uwu
i’ve been thinking seriously about HRT for about 5 years now, but after a really good friend of mine came out and started HRT i finally bit the bullet and followed suit ;o;
so far it’s treating me well enough! i’m getting a lil fuzzier, stinkier, and my voice cracks every once in a while! im also no longer blessed with acne free skin 💦
(and yes i am incredibly horny all the time, it’s torture)

we might be hit by sally this weekend so that’s fun i guess. hopefully it’s not to bad of a storm (but i do welcome the cold front that comes with hurricanes) either way i’ll be sure to stay safe and bunkered down uwu
that does mean that our stream might not happen this week though! if it’s not to bad of a storm we’ll still stream but if it’s heavy we probably won’t bother to avoid having the power go out in the middle of it.

other than that uhhh, i don’t think there’s a whole lot more going on? i’m stuck in the house most of the time like everyone else lmao

hey everyone! sorry if this journal is all over the place. i just feel like i gotta get something out there.

so like the rest of the world, im stuck in my house pretty much always lately. full disclosure, i spent a good week and a half playing animal crossing every day without even touching my laptop.
Though, wife and i decided to switch the rooms in our house around (the spare bedroom is now our bedroom, the office is the new spare room, and our new office is our old bedroom!)
but yesterday we finally got everything done and set up so were back to being able to work :D

but on that note, im feeling a little overwhelmed with work haha
I think i just went so long without touching my laptop that, although im excited to sit down and draw again, ive just got so much i CAN do that i cant focus on doing anything at all lmao

otherwise, i do love the new office space we have! its nice to have the bigger room as our office, it makes me feel like theres a lot more i can do. I have an actual separate desk for not laptop stuff so im hoping i can get more inspired to work on traditional art and all that. wife also amazingly went through all our unorganized and unpacked stuff and organized and labeled it all! its blessed.

Hey guys! I'm home from Florida! We got back earlyish on wednesday (I wanted to be home tuesday night but.. thats a story)

so we arent quite unpacked or anything, but i am back to regular work.. .for now.

Were actually going to be leaving again on the 5th to go to canada to visit my family! This time i should only be gone for a little less than a week, and since this is the first time i'm seeing the majority of my family in almost 10 years, and ill be taking a plane, im not going to bother with bringing my laptop with me.
Wife will have her ipad tho, and god knows i wont actually be able to go more than a day without doing SOME kind of work, so commission progress shouldn't slow down to much.

After we're home from that I'll finally actually be back on my regular schedule for good lmao

Hey guys! Just wanted to make a more official notice about my scheduled in october.

On the 14th of October, I'm going to be driving down to Florida with yukikitty to visit her family and some of our friends! We'll be there until the 29th, which is the day we will be driving home.
Like always, I'll be taking my laptop with me, and she'll have her ipad so I should be able to still get some work done, but overall I'm going to put a sort of on hold notice on my regular commissions for the last half of the month.

I do plan on taking some commissions specifically to do on the ipad though, which i should be able to work on a lot easier!

I plan on bringing our dog with us, but he isnt super fond of the car. He tends to whine and cry a lot, and move around.

WELL FIRST OFF were all moved in to our new house. its been almost a month now actually lmao. Biggest thanks to sarakaye and her husband, esc_null and rammymatic for their help ;o; it was a hot ass few days of moving but otherwise went pretty well
the cats love all the space, the god loves having a yard and not having to be walked ( i also fucking love not having to do it lmao)

best of all we have an actual office space though! Its really really nice to be able to come in here to work, and to be able to actually worth WITH yukikitty instead of one of us having to sacrifice work to chill w each other for a bit lmao


other news, its my birthday tomorrow! I'm not doing anything super special tomorrow for it other than kicking sarakaye 's ass, but i am going to the beach on friday which i am very excited for
