With a huge pleasure I want to introduce you my open species named Kirigons!
I already have two representatives of this species here and here <3
I was inspired to create the Kirigons by two wonderful artists: NeverMown who created Altynshine Dragons and Qrichy who created Q’ARs! I do hope one day Kirigons will have their own detailed description and lore. Now I’m just at the beginning of the road, there’s a lot of work to be done, but I’m very excited atm uwu

General Description

Kirigons are hybrids that blend the grace and elegance of Eastern kirins and the rough power of wild Western dragons. They represent harmony between nature and metals as between living and eternal.
They are known for their regal stature up to two meters, metallic (rarely - precious stones) features and magical auras that shimmer with energy when they are emotionally charged.

Physical Traits

Body:

* Tall and graceful, their posture often combines equine and draconic features;
* Covered in fur that protects them from cold and helps regulate their internal heat;
* Their chest, belly (always) and underside of the tail with inner thighs (optionally) are covered in smooth reptilian scales - typically glossy and shimmering.

Horns:

* A Kirigon’s most defining feature;
* Consist of metal (rarely - precious stones), growing much like antlers but fused with their bone structure;
* Can take many forms: spiraled, bladed, branching, curved, etc.;
* Horns resonate when struck or when the Kirigon uses magic or strong emotion;
* Usually very sharp and may be used for self-defence or attack.

Hooves:

* Always same material as horns;
* Usually even-toed ungulates (very rarely as possible mutation - odd-toed ungulates);
* Metallic, ranging from gold, silver, bronze, copper, to rare alloys with iridescent tints or even precious stones;
* Produce soft ringing sounds when walking on stone;
* Some Kirigons decorate their hooves with runes or etchings that glow when they share energy.

Eyes:

* Dark sclera (black, deep indigo, or crimson) - an essential trait across ALL individuals;
* Softly glowing pupils/irises, often shifting colors depending on mood or magic flow.

Ears:

* Long and pointed, sometimes slightly curled at the ends;
* Exceptionally expressive, aiding communication.

Tail:

* Long, thick, muscular and reptilian in shape, may be covered in scales;
* A thick mane of fur runs along the top, ending in a fluffy tuft;
* The tuft often matches the mane/hair color.

Mane/Hair:

* Flowing and voluminous;
* More often long and wavy, but straight and short are possible too;
* May look both like humans’ hair or animals’ mane.

Coloration

* Absolutely different fur tones range from deep jewel shades (sapphire, ruby, obsidian, emerald) to muted earth tones or even bright toxic colors;
* Scales usually contrast with the fur;
* Metallic features (horns, hooves, sometimes tail scales) can oxidize slightly, giving a patina-like effect.

Wings

* Having wings is an incredibly rare mutation;
* Almost 97% of all Kirigons don’t have wings.

Abilities and Traits

Metal-Bound

* Their horns, hooves, and sometimes bones contain trace amounts of organic metal that grows with them (not armor, but an extension of their body);
* Their metallic parts can heal slowly if damaged, regrowing over time like antlers;
* The metal in their bodies makes them natural conduits for many types of energy - heat, electricity, light, etc. They can absorb and redirect elemental energy, often through their horns or tail. When wounded or exhausted, they can draw ambient warmth from sunlight, lava, or lightning storms to recover.

Resonant Voice

* Their voices carry harmonic undertones that can affect mood. A whisper from a Kirigon can feel like warmth. Skilled individuals can use their voice to calm creatures or intimidate enemies. When several Kirigons sing (like during ceremonies), the resonance can light nearby crystals or metallic objects.
* While singing their warm steam from the mouth can melt metal depending on temperature and control.

* Prefer mountains or misty regions, often near sources of natural magic or metal-rich terrain;

Personality and Behavior

* Wise and patient - yet capable of fiery temper when provoked;
* Highly spiritual, believing themselves to be guardians of natural order and metal’s spirit;
* Deeply expressive through body language - ear flicks and tail motions.

Features of Creation

* Species are open for those, who purchased any of official Kirigon bases (unavailable at the moment);
* Creating a Kirigon without a base is prohibited (however, if you write to me and tell me your idea, I will be happy to consider the option of exclusion!);
* Creating winged Kirigons is prohibited, I reserve the right to create rare specimens myself;
* Please always credit me as species creator.

I had my annual endocrinology checkup and to be honest the results left me a little upset :(

I’ll have to cancel the hormonal pills that I have been taking for 6 years because they are incompatible with migraines with aura. I don’t know how my body will react. Probably cancelling process may be difficult.
Also I’ll have to cancel my migraine pills (which also helped with anxiety) and try new ones because mine increased one of the hormones and caused serious problems.

And the most upset part is about my thyroid gland 😖
One of the benign tumors (or it’s more correct to call them cysts idk) that I had for years increased in size by 1 cm in a just a one year. That's a lot. The ultrasound specialist wrote in conclusion that bigger cyst is TIRADS 3 classification when it was TIRADS 2 a year ago (malignancy rating). TIRADS 3 means risk under 5% but my anxiety rised a lot cause I’d prefer zero risk q_q Two years ago I had a fine-needle aspiration (I fainted then lol) and nothing dangerous was found, but it seems I'll have to do this second time because of cyst’s growth and I’m scared as hell ><

Just wanted to form my thoughts and calm myself down at least a little bit. Don’t forget about taking care about your health, friends! That’s very important 🙏🏻

One scary word known to all equestrians - colic.
I didn’t write a journal a week ago when this happened for the first time. And now.. same sh*t again.

Freya doesn’t feel well. She’s in pain, her intestines work very poorly. She eats just a little and poops just a little, her stomach is tense, that’s not fine for a horse. I’ve injected painkillers several times (actually it was my friend who made injections cause I don’t have enough experience in this). I just hope my horse will be alive in the morning when I’ll get blood tests results, and maybe we’ll know what to do next.

I’m in stress, my own health falls apart. I have something as vertebrae displacement in my lower back and it hurts when I walk too much. And now I have no choice, cause I need to walk Freya a lot to make her gastrointestinal tract work. That’s very good for her and very bad for me.

This month is crazy tbh. First my dog Rick fainted, then my spine’s condition worsened and finally my horse have colic. I’m so done with everything. Mentally, physically and financially. I’m sick and broke lol.

P.S. Today (March 28) is also my best boy’s Rick birthday. He’s 5. He comforted me for hours when I returned from stables. My son, the love of my life, please stay healthy.

UPD. March 28
Freya is alive, but her condition is worse than yesterday. Vet said her blood analysis and symptoms may mean that she has piroplasmosis.

UPD. March 29
No improvements. Freya’s condition is getting worse. High temperature, no appetite, no bowel function. Her mucous membranes in the mouth became a little bit yellow, this means liver problems.

UPD. April 26
Freya is fine! She had a long treatment including IVs, meds for liver and other strong meds. Now she takes sorbents and will need to take them for a month or more.
The reason why I stopped posting updates is that from the April 1 my dog Rick became sick too. Parasites, colitis, diarrhea, bloody stool. Four different meds, two antiparasitic meds, 3 antibiotics, and many more. He still don’t have a big positive improvements and I worry about him so much 😔

This week is hard. I wake up early every day despite the fact that I’m used to getting up late and working at night. I’m sleeping 4-5 hours.

My horse Freya needs morning injections of special medicene to detoxify organism. She was suffering from itching, eczema and allergy from the middle of summer, we’ve tried it cure her but nothing helped, so we finally decided to try injections. I’ve never did injections into vein before, especially to such a big and strong animal as horse. Idk who afraids more: me or Freya.
I’m trying to do this by myself, but I can’t to puncture a thick skin and put the needle into a vein. My friend helps me.

Injections are not hard to do. You know what’s hard? To see your horse’s eyes full of fear. To lost her trust every day. To see how she turns away when I’m trying to pet her. I’ve seen this fear before when I was treating my dog and this breaks my heart into pieces.

I’m very sentimental person and I would never hurt an animal, but how could you explain them that you’re trying to help…

When I get home I feel tired but can't sleep. I feel sadness and can’t work. But I will work, I will draw and everything will be fine (right?…). Just need this week and I’ll back on track to please my dear followers with new art 🙏🏻

Yessss that’s a personal stuff but I’m so damn nervous and I need to speak out q_q

On Sunday I tore off a suspicious nevus, on Monday I’ve shown this to dermatologist and he said I need to go to oncology hospital to check it. Now I’m on the way home from this hospital and dermatologist-oncologist said me that I need a small surgery to cut this thing off completely and send to lab to check if this thing was bad or not (under “bad” they mean scary word starts from “c”).

The surgery planned on Tuesday, I’m anxious and nervous. This “surgery” is very easy and fast, just with local anaesthesia, but anyway I’m anxious as hell ☹️

The surgery was very quick and not painful at all! All I felt was a painkiller injection. Thanks to Neolinki for coming to hospital with me and support <3 Now I need to wait until September 4 and then dermatologist-oncologist will tell me the results of histology. Fingers crossed ><

Still can’t believe that’s true.. This was my childish dream and now it’s my reality.
Yes that’s not an expensive tall sport horse I’ve dreamt about, but.. it’s a horse!

She’s a 3.5 y.o. small red mare. Young, active and fat 😅 I’ve bought her to save from her previous owner, who forced her to work with unsuitable saddle and too much load.

I’ve already ordered some good horse equipment for her.

P.S. To be honest the first day as a horse owner was… hard. I needed to walk along the road with the mare who’s afraid of cars. And I failed. I fell few times cause she snatched the rope from my hands. And I got a panic attack lol Few hours later we transported the horse with horse carrier, but I lost the confidence that I’m a good owner 😖 I know there’s so much work in the future, but I really hope I’ll deal with all difficulties and provide the mare with the best life.

We have at least one baby crab now! I was so happy to see this tiny creature, it’s about half of a centimetre in length 🥹 I’ve posted photos and videos with crabs here in Instagram in separate stories block. The very last stories is with baby crab!

So then me and Neolinki created a fine “crabitat” for Ed! But Ed was… dead.

Yeah we’ve bought a dead crab. We thought he wasn’t moving cause of stress or something, we left him for a night in his new home with all necessary conditions, but he wasn’t moving at all.. In the store it seemed to us that he was changing his position under the stone, but we were wrong 😔 RIP Edward. I should have saved you earlier.. 😭

BUT! The story has a good ending! Front some side… As we have a finished tank we needed crabs. We found a lonely male vampire crab in other shop. We named this smol red boi Stefan. He was stressed, so we decided to find him a few friends. That’s how two females Katherine and Elena appeared in our aquarium.

So now we have three happy little crabs! They’re so fun to observe 🥹

P.S. I’m still sad about Edward 😔

His name is Edward (as Edward Scissorhands or Edward Cullen). He’s a poor lonely smol vampire crab from a local pet shop. He lives in almost empty tank without good conditions he needs. No one wanted to buy him for almost a month.. so me and Neolinki decided to save him 🥺🦀

Unfortunately this month I’m kinda short of money (as I’ve just paid for my future driver licence and all medical examinations q_q) and Neolinki has spent all savings on community aquarium we have to provide the fish all they need.

For Edward we need a separate aquarium, some plants, soil, etc. This all will cost about $100 or quite more maybe. If you have an opportunity there’re few ways to help us save Ed:
