Long story short I have apparently been getting low level chronic carbon monoxide poisoning for potentially up to 4 years. Our gas water heater flue was busted open, and gasses weren't venting outside. Instead every single time it heated it spilled CO and CO2 into the finished basement where I live and work. The pipe was corroded and pitted, and the rubber nearby was partially MELTED. I work about 10 feet from it.

Fortunately it was not high enough concentration to just straight up kill me, but it explains why I've had so many seemingly unconnected and sourceless problems for the last few years. We have a new electric water heater, and I feel like I can actually breathe for the first time in ages.

It will take time for it all to fully go away, but I'm hoping the headaches, shortness of breath, confusion, memory problems, phantom movements in the corners of my eyes, and more all go away. It makes so much more sense now. I'm frustrated it took our water heater rusting out and starting to leak for anyone to notice the problem, but at least the problem has been fixed.

So let this be a warning to you all. Get your hvac and water heaters checked regularly.

It's been ages, I know. Long story short: every time, and I do mean EVERY time, it looks like my health might be improving something else happens and I end up just as bad or worse than I was before. Currently we're trying to figure out why I have been constantly fatigued for nearly 2 months straight. Current prognosis is "doesn't seem to be life threatening but other than that we dunno" and so the testing continues.

ON A MORE POSITIVE NOTE, I haven't been idle. I don't have much to show in terms of actual stories, but holy crap my lore notes may rival Tolkien at this point. Been talking with very supportive friends and bouncing ideas and workshopping and making sure I keep things working together pretty consistently for the last half a decade or more. I even am planning to run a ttrpg with friends set in the distant past of the Bunny Invasion setting, as well as tentative steps towards making Marie's college years into a game. No promises on the latter but I would love to see it happen.

I post this because I'm trying to decide if I should compile and contextualize my discussions and decisions regarding my two major settings. Various musings on how hypers develop, culture and society, how life adapted to the presence of hypers, antihypers, etc.

Honestly not sure where it went.

The good news is some serious, longstanding problems are finally sorta getting resolved. They still suck and have lasting consequences, but at least we're changed from a desperate holding pattern to some semblance of moving forward without being crushed.

The building pain from a bulging disk I didn't know about in my neck is being worked on. Assuming certain fascistic elements don't get their way I might be able to function as a human being for the first time in 10 years. I had some relief for the intense pains in my feet and arms during the initial round of treatment, so I am hopeful that some more can be done as we continue.

I've had some memory problems that *might* be stress related but we're checking other potential problems. No brain tumor, so you know...that's a plus.

Those are the two things primarily keeping me from more writing. When you get sudden, shooting pains down your arms that don't really correspond with doing anything specific it's really fucking hard to avoid it and do things. When you can't hold 2 thoughts in your head and routinely forget generalities much less specifics in the middle of things it makes a coherent story quite the challenge to craft.

I can't truly hope anymore. I've been too ground down by the reality of my situation to do that. But I'm following recommendations and treatments that show results. I know this sounds kinda negative but it's the most positivity I've had in years so...yeah. Trying to follow that.

Once upon a time I had a list of commissions being waited for. It might still be hidden somewhere I have since forgotten about, but I suspect it got lost somewhere along the way of moving between computers. I remember some of it, but I do not think I remember all.

I am genuinely sorry it's taken so long. Life hit me hard and fast and I'm only sorta coming out of that hole after something like two years. It's an excuse, but I have to keep telling myself that mental illness is just as legit as physical illness even if half the time I don't believe it myself.

I reached a financial crisis again as trying to get myself better drags on into years. I'm ok at the moment thanks to family, but I am working on a new story to post to patreon for a bit of money before the end of the month. Heads up to my backers, mostly.

I got in to see the dentist to have some cavity work done. The tooth in question had a rather large hole that was hurting me off and on with increasing frequency, and had recently been impairing my ability to eat or drink.

They numb me up, get started...and pretty much immediately I notice I can still feel something. They numb me up more. They get a bit deeper before I feel something again.

Rinse and repeat several times. My cheek and gum are basically dead to the world, and yet the pain happens whenever they go deeper into the tooth. Each time they can get a little further, but I'm sweating and shaking after a half dozen zings. I swear they pumped a gallon of the stuff into my tooth.

Turns out it's so bad I had to lose the tooth.

While anesthesia wasn't fully numbing it.

And the roots were being stubborn.

Dentist kept apologizing, and there wasn't much to be done as it had to come out.

Haven't been in that much pain in ages. Never want to be again.

Recent flooding in my state has finally hit us. Sump pump threw up all over the basement after a powerful burst of rain the other night. We've been tearing up ruined carpet and padding and have now moved on to base boards, drywall, insulation, and the carpet of another room we only just discovered was also hit.

This is not a good week for us. Frankly, 2016 can go jump in a pit of burning gasoline.

I have redone pledge tiers and goals. They are significantly less ambitious in part to reflect what I've learned since starting it, but also to bring the reality of my health and personal situation into line with what I'm offering. I may add a higher tier or two if the ideas are feasible.

Higher tiers are gone. I will still honor already made commitments, but I could not continue to offer them given the difficulties I've had with what has already been set for me to do. Part of that is on me for them being poorly worded.

Lower tiers are redone. I honestly should have done this months ago.

The Goals have been redone as well. Less exciting but it's what I'm capable of right now.

Realized it'd been a while since I updated my situation. I've since quit my job as I could not physically take it any longer. My bosses were very helpful and did what they could to accommodate me but when the only way to not be hurt was to not do the job there wasn't much else to be done. Lots of older injuries manifested again, and I've since been slowly attempting recovery. It's kinda here and there. Some of the things going wrong seriously mess with my head as well as my body, so it's not exactly fun. I'm better than I was but still questionable, so apologies to those waiting on things I'd hoped to get done long before this. I continually feel like I take steps forward only to be pushed back just as far and it's quite frustrating that I have to make people wait.

I'm going to be reorganizing my Patreon rewards. Been meaning to for some time. If you have ideas/suggestions on things you've seen others do and liked, I'm all ears.

One thing I want to do more of is worldbuilding, and using Patreon as an excuse for more of it and to get people involved sounds like a good idea. I've got something like that already, but it's rarely used and I'm thinking of how to make it more open.

To that intention I'm using a random idea I had to try and break the ice and maybe help me get my brain to work again. I want to go more in depth about the histories of different species in the different universes I've created. I've touched on some from Bunny Invasion, but nothing more than a bit of overview. Pick a species or genus (ex: domestic feline or cats in general) you'd like to know more about, which world you want to specify, and I'll get something worked up. After this I'm probably going to reserve it for a certain (low-ish) patreon tier.

New job to pay necessary bills, and my first time standing for anything close to this long in ages. My feet hate me enough to make me dread food that requires standing up to reach. I have to do laundry tonight, too. I dun wanna.

Also, I'm going to be sending out information to possible players for the sunday game either tomorrow or saturday (probably saturday) unless my feet rebel and murder me. Depending on how the next sunday game goes I may bring them in either the 1st or the 15th. On the 8th I will be out of town and not able to be on my compy.

One of our Sunday players has had to bow out because of life changes. I hate to see them go as they tended to throw things for fun loops, but as always RL concerns take precedence. The last thing I want is playing my game to be stressful because anyone feels obligated to do so instead of pay attention to things they need to.

Today I'm doing more work on a commission. Currently titled Mare in the Big City, it's a prequel to the In Your Dreams story featuring Emily when she was still rather naive and :swift_james: 's moogirl Susu, how they became friends, and the influence the latter had on the former to make her the mare she is in In Your Dreams. To those of you who attended last time, I got rid of about half a page since I hated the direction it was going. Happens a lot for me at least. Fits, starts, and retries.

As for the news, I've got a job now. I start next week. Nothing glamorous, it's just part time to pay the bills. Not sure how much time it'll eat up, but I don't expect it too stop me from streaming or running my games.

I will also be going back to my parents for a while to help out again (it's why I'm starting next week and not this one), but I'm going to do my best to be able to stream and/or run my games while there.

Theme: I'm at least starting with the promised story detailing the events that have transpired in my pathfinder games for those who couldn't attend or have missed games. So apparently my personal life hates me and the world hates my family.

Not going into details, but there was a family emergency that had me return to my parents house to help out (immediate family is fine, sort of). At first it was only a week, but things took a turn for the worse and so I'm here at least another week to take some of the pressure off them as they deal with an approaching death in the family. I have internet, but I don't have the privacy or the down time to do much of anything here.

We'll see where this goes.

First off, sorry for being silent and not streaming for the last two weeks. Rough time. That said, my brain is still running a million miles an hour.

Fall of the Order of Light is still going strong on both fronts, but there is the chance that either game will rush to the end intentionally or unintentionally. New campaigns take time to create from scratch, so might as well get the groundwork started, right?

Keep in mind every bit of this is VERY early brainstorming, so subject to change or scrapping.

Basic idea is that the PCs have been blessed/cursed with the powerful attraction of and to monsters. They breed easily (as bearer or sire), and as they do so they pick up monster traits they can pass on to their offspring. The PCs themselves will not necessarily gain these traits. It's more that their eggs/sperm will be charged with the potential for them.

My initial idea for motivation is magical experimentation by pervy wizards, though I haven't gotten far on it.

PC changes I'm still not sure about how to handle, and may have it be their classes that take care of it or have things change based on their actions.

Speaking of classes, I mean for them to be custom classes. Powers that enhance things like their breeding rate, their control over trait gain/passing, who they attract, etc. Common traits would be kept but adjusted for the different intentions. Fortitude/Reflex/Will saves could be used for, say, what traits are gained, how successful their breeding is, and who is in charge during it.

Right now I'm mostly looking for any ideas about class roles. Not so much rules, but their theme. I will build powers off of that as things progress. For examples from Pathfinder, the Ranger's theme is the patient tracker that studies their foe, learning their weaknesses before dispatching them with bow or blade. The Barbarian is the wild, rugged pillar of strength that becomes a whirling ball of death against their enemies.

In this case it would be themes directed at the types of sexy interactions with monsters. So far I have:
- the broodmother, who grows heavier with each pairing and loves every moment (the horde maker)
- the wetnurse, who helps her young grow powerful and can pass on what she acquires even after insemination (fewer young, but very powerful)
- the artist, that knows what they want to breed and is very selective in what traits they pick up and pass on (designs their ideal offspring)
- the nympho, who enjoys sex in all its forms. Breeding and new offspring powers are merely incidental to bedding as many as possible (the popular one)

Ideas are welcome.
