It be talk like a pirate day! And true to the fashion, I'm sittin' in m'favorite chair with a pirate hat on, a parrot on m'shoulder and rum in my glass! A happy holiday to all, and make sure to find your way to a good stout drink and a lovely lass... or cabin boy, whichever is your fancy. ;)

Tomorrow I will be imbibing on rum, working on commissions and watching many pirate movies. ;) So if you're free for tomorrow you should probably plan on stopping by!!!

You ever have a month where you're basically sure that the world is trying to swallow you down whole and decimate every bit of contentment you have? That's pretty much been my month. My wife joked that maybe god really is against gay marriage given the sheer amount of awful.

-My cat is sick, very sick. She's been hospitalized and undergone surgery (actually more than one), and is looking at more care to try to assure that she will have a good quality of life. She has cancer, there is absolutely no doubt, sadly, about that, but the vets feel that as soon as we get her eating solidly and healed up that we will have more time with her as well as her having a good quality of life so that the last months or years with her will be on her terms. In this adventure we have spent pretty much all our money and begun using up the emergency cards which will be maxed out by the end of all of this, without regret mind you, but it's always stressful.

-My USB drive died. Many thanks to EE for trying to fix it, but it died which means I have several stories that I need to work on from either scratch or take from rough draft form and refine it. All while I spend most of my days at the vet or at my regular job.

-My wife's grandfather passed away yesterday, they live in Michigan which means we have to leave for a funeral while my cat is still hospitalized. The only good thing is, is the fact that because I wifed her I am able to take bereavement time off work to go to the wake and funeral. So we have that working for us.


At some point life is going to calm down, but jesus fuckity fuck I need it to slow down soon. The real highlight of all of this is the fact that my girl is starting to perk up and respond to what's going on, today she even went around the room investigating everything while I sat with her at the vet.

Yesterday we went to the court house. While the ceremony won't be for some time, there were reasons we both wanted, and needed, to be married. It was small and intimate, a moment where we stood between the statue of a gryphon and unicorn and just promised what we already knew, we'd be together for the rest of our lives. Ten years, just a drop in the bucket of our future. Later, we'll have family and friends, we'll say vows in grand design, but yesterday was a simple exchange of rings and promises with those that know us best. Tonight I'm sitting here staring at a ring, it means so little with what we've been through, but so much for our future.

While I don't often advertise it, my partner has some serious medical issues, it's always been a concern for the worst might happen. There is only so much legally we had available, now we have so very much more. Thank you for those that snagged up some private slots, both for an impending vacation (now planned wedding) and to help me surprise her yesterday with a set of rings when she wasn't expecting it. The smile on her face, and the tears, were worth it.

Yeah, I'm twitter pated. ;) Now to deal with her plans for a wedding. Eep!

Five years ago I asked the woman I love to marry me. We have been together for well over a decade, we've seen the best and worst parts of our lives and still continued. We've outlasted many real marriages, and through the last five years my ring has been on her finger. Every year we look at each other at least half a dozen times and smile, "One day" and go about our lives. We planned it idly, playfully talking about how we'd run right to the court house, or have a small wedding tucked away with friends and family that supported us. It never really went deeper, because that 'one day' could be a dozen years from now, who knew. One day it would come, but we had no way of knowing what, we couldn't plan for a future we couldn't see.

We could go to so many other places to be married, but if we returned home we still would be just where we are now. So.. we held onto those two words, because we both know that 'one day' would eventually come. As time marched on we saw the inevitable. 'One day' became more important to us, it's hard to wait when we have watched friends get engaged and married, see the simple steps they take before taking one another's names. But still, there was a ring and a promise. One day.

This morning I woke up beside her and did what I always do, I flip on my phone and lazily go through checking things while half awake, debating getting up. And the moment my news feed came up I saw that 'one day' was 'this day'. The Supreme Court has ruled that marriage equality spans all 50 states. Funny, how a simple spattering of words have the ability to make the throat close and tears threaten to come up. This morning I woke up and can see the ring on her finger, and on my own, and know that we are no longer saying 'one day'. It's what ever day we want, it's our day. Recognized in our state and all states.

Well, I've decided to give this go. This formatting will be easier than that of the PWYW packs and gives me an option to give little rewards.

Well the next chapter is done, but currently don't have the funds to get it illustrated. I'm debating releasing it without an illustration, but I know some people really enjoy and prefer them. You've probably notice the pile of uploads. :) I've gotten into an awesome groove lately and am pushing through things quite happily! I hope you're enjoying seeing more of my stuff crop up... and brace for it, the porn is coming. It's kinda like winter, but with more dicks and the like. Probably some cum. I dunno. It's late and I'm drunk on rum and am eating crazy bread. I have no idea what's going on save I have something delicious in my mouf.

So, yanno, lesbians have one highly unique set of problems and that is clothes. Most clothes whatever, I can tell whos is whos because I'm short and she's tall and we have different fashion tastes. And then there's underwear, not too bad there, we can both squeeze into the same things. But bras? Oh my fucking god. This morning I was half awake getting ready for work and grab her bra, and it did not end well. I was like, trying to stuff myself into the bar half asleep and it was not working what so ever. Long story short, my girlfriend woke up to me nearly shoe horning myself into her bra in what she describes as "You know how you open a tube of roles from the store and they pop open? Yeah, that's what it looked like."

Over the last weekend myself and others have been dealing with a hoarding situation and rescuing birds. It's bad. http://imgur.com/a/36qEq You can see here a few shots of where they come from. All those papers on the floor? That's dog feces covered with paper before there was more feces covered with more paper, repeat until it's thick enough you can't feel the floor beneath in many spots. The birds were in an environment filled with dust, mold, filth and other dangers. Once there were many many birds found here. And they could have been saved.

A lot of people are immediately jumping up with things like "Oh god she should suffer as much!" "I hope that person is given the same treatment!" "How could she?! She's evil!" No. She's not. That's a hard admission, especially when you've seen stuff like this outside of pictures. She's sick. Hoarding is a disease, a mental disease in which a person is convinced they are saving these animals. It starts slowly, a few birds or cats or dogs, and perhaps they don't have a lot of money, but they take them in. And it gets worse from there.

In some cases, they see animals in need or given away for free and take them in afraid no one else will give them a good home. But in most cases what happens is they get one or two unfixed animals (or in the case of birds some breeding pairs) and they have offspring. They are convinced those babies can't have other homes because only THEY can take care of them. And it starts a cycle. it never starts out bad, but things slip, things become normal and they become dissentized to things that are horrifying for the rest of us. So there's a little poop on the floor, that's not so bad, just a few dirty spots. Okay, so it's a bigger mess than it used be, but you have a lot to do and you love your pets, so you can do it, you can handle it. You love them.

So you can't feed them what people say they should have? They have homes and love, and they're getting fed what you can give them. They still look pretty good, you're doing the best you have. You get more and more, you sort of lose track of how many, but they're all getting fed right? And then.. they start to pass away. Many justify this as normal, as something that it must be old age or something else, they start justifying so much because they love these animals. They might not have everything they should, but they care about them, name them, see them born and watch them grow. That's what's important, you love them! That's what happened here.

This should have been over nearly two years ago. That's when a sister stepped in and began to push to have the birds rescued, but it didn't go the way it should. These situations have to be handled DELICATELY. The first instinct is to march in in horror, demand the animals be gotten rid of, removed entirely, look at how this person is living! The moment you storm in making demands and ultimatums that person is going to shut you the fuck out. They're not going to listen. You're talking about pets they consider their children, pets they love and adore, how dare you try and remove them. SO nearly two years ago when this person started to reach out, they shut down before things could even begin.

They need help, they need a lot of help. Two years ago people could have gone in and delivered food and helped clean and get things straightened out. The sick could have gotten vet care and help before they were too far gone. They could have found safe good homes instead of being sold off on a website to anyone who would want them no matter if there might have been disease rampant in the group. Do not come across these people and begin to yell and snarl at them, to threaten them with legal repercussions, to try and force them to give up their animals. They will balk, they will shut down and shut you out. As hard as it is to bottle up your anger and visceral responses you need to remember, these people aren't doing this to be cruel. They don't set out going "I'm going to hurt animals for fun". They tend to be people who've fallen in too deep and need help.

Alright, in the interest of getting things off my plate early, this will be the new commission pricing. From this point on, this will be the pricing made available to incoming commissions. I will be opening again sometime next month as I roll off the last of my back logged commissions.

PRICING:

$10 per 1k for standard (Loose outlined, general pointers and guidelines)
$12 per 1k for micro-managed (Large outline (exceeding 600 words (this doesn’t include character physical descriptions) that include a lot of detail, scenes, sentences, chatter)
$14 per 1k for rush fee (Done within 72 hours) NOTE: This does not include stream stories which are done at $10 per 1k and finished within that time frame, these have their own rules and regulations.

Non-standard pricing (Explanation on pricing follows):

Novella- exceeding 20K story- pricing begins at $300
-Stories at this size require extensive editing, up to 20K and I can normally deal, but once it goes over it requires at least one other editor, outlines and notes throughout. Any and all stories of this length will be given a longer due time.

Three part story- pricing begins at $250 for three 7,000 word chapters, increases as the word count increases.

Story Series- No longer offered.



DISCOUNTS:

10% discount to any sequel story done from a prior story as long as the sequel is largely given writers freedom.
15% discount offered to those willing to wait longer than the set time.
15% discount for total writers freedom in which you give kinks and characters and I make the story happen.



TOS-

Not much has changed from what’s listed from earlier.

Story commissions will open up in two slots at a time on the 1st and 14th of every month and be completed by the next date.

I will no longer be taking on multiple stories at once for a person. If you’d like more than one story, you can book a commission the next time around.

Discounts are highest discount is taken, can not be combined together to create larger discounts.

REFUND POLICY:

I will do refunds if someone wants to cancel a commission, if I have put work into said commission I will deduct the work done from the total being refunded. I will not offer refunds for completed stories, I will work to make you happy, but after I have completed a commission I will not be giving refunds. Any cancelled commission will be offered to others at cheaper pricing as a YCH style commission.

Most of these changes are to reflect my change in work schedule as well as the fact writing is slower due to the fact I can’t type for extended periods of time due to my wrists. I’m sure there will be additions and subtractions along the way, but this seems the best way to go about things to both make sure that I don’t suffer a back log again and will still be able to continually write stories.

Thanks to  Sekkite (May he one day be eaten alive by jackals) my other half got a gaming computer for christmas to play WoW on. Just so you understand how different it is for her to play WoW now, before she could run on low mode in WoW without doing much but dailys and small raids. Now she's running Ultra and doing whatever she damn well pleases. I am a widow now. I have no wifu. But the best part are conversations like this:

They have a total of 11 stories that they're editing for me so I can concentrate on writing. She's stuck with the thankless work of sifting through my errors and issues and making sure things are readable. <3 <3 <3 She deserves all the love ever!

Things are mostly sorted out on the banking end, things are going to be lean, but I'm hopeful that when I get paid this week I will be back into a more secure situation than I was before hand, at least, that's the hope at this point. o/

I really miss having fun, I'd love to get an RP group together on Skype again, but not sure if it will work or not. I love the idea of a group of people running story lined RPs together. I primarily play on Tapestries MUCK, but do Skype as well when I get the chance. I have an array of characters to play with various tastes and quirks available. Does anyone here know a bit about taxidermy? My parents inherited a bear skin rug that my Mom wants to get rid of, which means I now have Fred the Bear hanging out in my house looking for a home. I want to clean him up a bit (Eyes are a bit rough looking, mouth needs cleaned) and find out what I can sell him for, but I don't know anything about it. He's a full length black bear and in decent condition, but hell if I know what to do with the thing. :P Right now he's just judging me from the living room.

Sometimes the last gift you can give your pet is the end to illness and suffering. Sometimes it is just holding them as the fall asleep just one last time. Tomorrow we say goodbye to our Anjelica, another 11 years still would be too little to have her with us.

:D I totally got my first 'keeper' fish today!!! A large mouth bass weighing in at over 13 lbs. I was like, nearly wetting myself when I realized it wasn't another damn sunfish on my line. I'm like, on a total happy fishing high right now and my catch is in the fridge, waiting for tomorrow where I will feast on his sweet flesh in honor of our fight. Also, I would like to apologize to any and all young children and parents at Lake Antrim that heard me screaming, cursing and celebrating when I finally got him in. When I yelled that I was his fishy god, I did not mean to say that I was in fact a deity, only that i was the god of his world. And other fishy worlds. I wonder if the fish in my tank know that I'm a killer now....

Your other half is away for the weekend and you realize you have to sleep alone in bed. Now, I get to either invite a friend over so he can play snuggle bunny since I no longer am able to sleep alone or replace her with a body pillow, choices choices.
