Holy crap is that porn you see?
General | Posted 6 years agoYes....yes it is. I finally gave in and decided to give it a shot and see how I do. I'm doin pretty good I'd say! If enough people like it, I might just do more.
I am still open for commissions, recovery is going smoothly thus far, still on crutches but I'm starting to try and walk a little instead of keeping my foot away from the evil ground.

Whelp, that happened....time to draw!
General | Posted 6 years agoAs some of you may know I went to ACFI this past weekend. And, some of you may have heard someone broke their 'leg' while dancing. Yeah Hi, it me. I snapped my ankle somehow, and in glorious fashion. It ended up with me being in the hospital for four days, emergency surgery, the works. Luckily,
stealtharwing and
stormysune~ are here to help me through, Along with my boyfriend (who doesn't have an FA) and I have insurance, but I know it only covers so much. So, I am opening up for commissions to help alleviate the financial strain that is about to hit me.
I doubt many people will even see this, but here are my prices.
5 for a doodle,
10-20 for line art,
30 for flat color,
50+ for shade.
If you look at my art, you know that I tend to sway toward high detail. Each piece takes a bit of time,as I also work 40+ so please be patient. But Kala, what's the + for? Think of it like a tip. base price is 50, but if you think it's worth more, then toss me a bit more.
There will be updates to show progress will be made on each piece as they come in, and it is first come first served. I will have a list (if that many people ask) that will be publicly visible so you can keep tabs on when yours will be worked on.
Next time, no shoes for this fox while dancing.....

General | Posted 7 years agoOk guys, I know it's been like...3 years since I posted regularly, however. life has changed drastically since last you heard from this wild rambling fox.
Since I posted my last journal, I have moved not once, but three times. twice cross country. Life...has been in upheaval. When I left my ex, I went to Colorado for a bit, but found myself in Texas shortly thereafter. Unfortunately life got in the way of art more than I could have ever fathomed. I've since removed myself from that situation and have gotten my muse back.
This wasn't without /alot/ of help from my friends, both with the escape from my ex, and with the return of my muse. I can't thank them enough. My way of repaying them is by really buckling down and trying to post new art much more frequently, and since one of those friends is now a roommate, he can walk over to me and smack me up side the back of my skull and shove my stylus in my hand. (for which I will thank him and try to draw something, promise!)
aside from life changes....art! Holy crap, I never thought getting away from photoshop would help me get better at digital art, but it has. A month ago, after about 8 years of banging my head against adobe, I tried out Krita. (forgive me if I misspell it as Kryta, it's far too close to a region in a game I love) And the art has been pouring out. not all of it publishable, some of it was just doodles. but some, I am legitimately PROUD of! Not only is it looking good, but it's coming out faster too! So much so that I'm testing the waters of commissions. I still have a full time job, so instantaneous output is not a thing, but I'd say about a week should get a piece out to a client if they hit me on a sunday.
I'd love to know if people were interested, even if they aren't...I'm still gonna keep drawing. a hell of alot more than I have in the past.

Art, suits, and the sands of time
General | Posted 11 years agoOk.. most of you who follow me know I've only just begun uploading my artwork. Theres alot to upload, and the flood controls here suck. But..they are coming as I think about it. However...before you go thinking I am an art fiend churning out all these pieces like someone on a monster drip to the brain...
I haven't
Truth is only maybe five of these are within the last year. If your eyes are good,(it's usually fairly small) you can see that 98% of them are dated from years ago.
I've been slacking.
alot.
That's gonna change. Between fursuit making and drawing there will be art progress regularly. It's a promise, to myself, my mate, and my sis.
If you want to know what is the newest? as of this writing, Tease and Candy are. The oldest that I am willing to post up here go back to the turn of the century.
yeah...
they are that old.
I like to see how I've progressed though, so as I get better pictures of them you will start to see more old ones. I'm also starting to edit the older ones already up here, to reflect that they are fairly aged.
So, here's to progress and no more stagnation.

sketchbook
General | Posted 12 years agoOk. so this has got to be the best 5 bucks ever spent in the history of art.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 2, It has a stylus and a huge (for a phone, ok..let's face it...it's a phablet) screen.
Since I can't draw for beans with a mouse, aka a bar of soap, I have been sketching on my phone for giggles. Yesterday I found Sketchbook in the app store and decided to try it.
ok.
damn.
it's a mini photoshop in my phone. No shit.
so I bought the pro version.
$5.00
for a phone app, that's fairly pricey, but honestly I'd pay 15 and still think this is fair. no joke. If you have an android,(or iOS object) and feel so inclined, try this app. there's a free version you can try, and it functions fully. You just get more fun options with the pro version =) (like linking directly to DeviantArt >.>)
Now, thanks to this I am getting further into digital art, and getting an actual tablet is higher on my list than ever (second only to the fur for the latest suit) my conundrum is this...
Do I get an android tablet, and continue using this fantastic program though it is not as in depth as photoshop or gimp, or, do I spend an equal amount on a PC art tablet (or more since I need more than 6 inches, really folks..I'm a traditional artist that draws on 11x8 1/2 paper normally,)
I am doing 'okay' with my phone, however, it's a 5.5 inch screen, and my instincts keep making me want to make big strokes for things >.>
There's one downside I have found, the option to select sections of an image and move them, rather than moving the whole layer is something that is sorely needed, but is not there.
Upside? and I don't know if this is the case with gimp or PS of any stripe maybe one of you more advanced artsy types can answer that, in the swatch color selection, it actually lists the copic number and name, as an added bonus =)
Since I have not used it long, I cannot give TOO much of an in depth review of it, but I'm also sorely out of practice digitally anyway, I know layers, I know the various brushes and sizes, opacity and how to adjust them...other than that...good luck. masks, I know what they are and how they are used in theory, but don't ask me how to do them in any program. (I use tape?..again...trad sketcher =p) anyway, I look forward to hearing your two cents worth (of my few followers) please don't be shy!
