well that was disappointing.
Posted 12 years agoI only got 2 people interested in commissions on my last call out. Felt uninspired by the turnout, and thus did no work. So, going to finish those later and maybe make a couple of drawings indicating when I'll be putting more together or streaming. I know I need to be more interesting. I am working on it.
In other news, full time work on my feet is really hard on my creative mind. Sometimes feel like I'm coming apart.

Commissions are OPEN (And a personal challenge)
Posted 12 years agoI am now open for commissions!
Opening 5 slots with the intention of fulfilling all obligations in one week.
Going rate is:
$20 for a fully colored/shaded picture without any particular background
$35 for a more fleshed out background image
$10 for additional characters beyond the first
My character is free.
I will gladly attempt any ideas that seem interesting, including adult themes or bondage or latex.
The more specific you are with your idea the more details I will be able to apply to it, so don't be vague.
Please provide me with current and correct references for your image.
I accept no money until I provide you with a sketch, and at that time I will ask for payment as I complete the image.
Please submit your request using this journal, as I can better track when these requests were made.

Who do I owe art to?
Posted 12 years agoI am behind in commissions I think and requests... For those that are still interested in getting pictures could you please post to this journal and remind me what I promised to do? I am willing to do it for free if the request is greater than three months old. I can't remember any of what I promised. Sorry.

Rawrr
Posted 12 years agoSo slowly but surely getting back into an art groove. Been doing personal art just to get myself to draw SOMETHING since drawing things for others has lately felt like a tremendous chore. I will fulfill my obligations, there's two people I MUST draw for before the end of the month, and I dearly apologize for this debilitating dry spell.
Thanks for watching!
Posted 12 years agoWill hopefully stream again soon!
Dry Spell
Posted 12 years agoI apologize for the lack of new art. I'm gonna finish my current round of commissions and requests starting tonight, but I've been woefully depressed after realizing I scared some people off my already miniscule stream audience.
I find I am a person of abnormally low self esteem, often comparing myself to other, sometimes somewhat similar artists, finding my art just... Not good at all. Sometimes feedback, while supposed to be helpful, makes me feel worse about myself because I'm always attacking myself with thoughts of "I am better than this! I should have seen that! God I'm so terrible!!".
I have to find my groove again somehow, but it's hard feeling like I'm always in someone's shadow, even when it's a protective, nurturing embrace. I think I'll be fine once I get into a groove of drawing daily, just for practice. May use a different program, buuuut... This tablet is a bit laggy when running PS, which is an issue.
I will try to stream tonight, will update journal accordingly.

Current Status
Posted 12 years agoI am stressed.
My car is currently in no driving condition, as it easily overheats. The fan does not turn and there is no water pressure. I am currently hemorrhaging money due to dentist visit and now I have to look at the very real possibility that I may need to put myself in debt, again, by buying a new car.
I guess I'll just buckle down, grab a manual, buy some tools, and see what I can do, even though I know nothing of auto repair.
I really need more money.

Need Inspiration
Posted 12 years agoMy brain works best when I'm told what to draw. Willing to entertain a request or two over the next week or so to keep my drawing training up. Don't send me notes please, just post requests here on this journal and I'll pick from the list stuff to draw during my nightly streams.
Refresh my memory
Posted 12 years agoI am terribly unorganized right now. Could the people who I owe commissions to please post in this journal? I can't remember my list... Will try to get a commission done tonight.
Casanova, Brutus, and Alexander are the ones I remember bit pretty sure someone else asked me, but I forgot what he or she wanted. I think something with a background..

Tooth and Consequences
Posted 12 years agoWent to the dentist a few days ago for a deep cleaning. As I have not seen a dentist in about oh... Fifteen years... I required periodontal treatment. I got all four quads done, and had to apply for a credit service to pay for it.
Now this is not really a problem, but now I have a new problem... My expensive tablet is making a ridiculously loud fan noise. I need a new little fan thing, or possibly just need to spray some canned air maybe. Failing that I just need to replace the fan, but not sure how easy or hard that will be to find. In either case, I need to go back to drawing on paper until this is rectified.
I'll be back to doing commissions soon, but the lack of tablet eliminates streaming for now. Will keep you updated! Thank you for your support by buying commissions from me!

Doing Latex and 'Other' Commissions
Posted 13 years agoI'll continue to do Latex themed commissions as well as commissions of your own imaginings (nothing too complicated, and no sequential comics... at least not yet) throughout the month of February. I am hoping to use the money provided to pay a visit to a dentist to address some possible problems with my teeth. I'd like to actually KEEP these pearly whites for awhile longer!
I'm open minded to most themes, I'm just not skilled enough to do complex machinery or backgrounds yet, unless there's some really good references given. Keep em comin, I'm challenging myself to do at least one drawing a night, the more ideas I have to pool from the more I can inspire myself to make it happen. Gimme a note, or comment on my journal!
$20/person, including if you want to be pictured in a scene with my character for some naughty fun!

Still doing commissions
Posted 13 years agoAnd branching out... going to attempt to do some LATEX stuff! Poke me if interested... $20/character for latex situations, or pretty much anything! I need the practice, and the money!
Lizard dentistry-Emergency commissions
Posted 13 years agoI need to raise about... $500 for a trip to the periodontist. I've been doing what I can to keep my teeth and gums clean but it has come to a point where I can only do so much. I don't know how much the procedure will cost but I'm looking at $210 just for examination, and my job and position does not offer me dental benefits. I don't know if I can hold off another year waiting for insurance to accrue, so... yeah. This is rather important and somewhat urgent. I'm willing to do 'anything' and 'everything', or at least try. I'll go with my basic rate... $20/character for full color image.

What's new everybody?
Posted 13 years agoCould use a little good news and pleasant conversation! What good things are going on in everyone's life?
Some Political Vomit
Posted 13 years agoSo... I hear alot of various discussions on the rights of Americans to have and own guns. I've read various news bits here and there discussing the issue on both sides. I have to wonder what NRA supporters really want, and what they are actually seeking to protect. Most NRA supporters use the 'Crime won't happen if everyone has a gun' approach. Others say 'If you take away guns from the lawful you are empowering the lawless'. Some use the 'We have to be ready when our government needs us to form a people's militia' approach. Some just say 'If you take away our guns then you are infringing on our constitutional rights' approach. So... I guess I wanted to talk a little bit about these thought processes.
'Crime won't happen if everyone has a gun'. How well does that theory actually hold in practice? Doesn't really hold water. The problem is that people often do things in anger, frustration. A momentary loss of control, rage at being treated unfairly or cruelly, reacting to a situation rather than doing things as an act of planning... IE, road rage killings, or some guy pissed that his wife was bitching at him for cheating, whatever. The problem there is, that even if people had those guns legally with the intention of using them for self defense, the presence of the weapon provided an easy, quick method to do something terrible. 'But you can make weapons out of anything!' is usually the counter argument. However, it is the sense of power, and a practical method with which to use that power is available from such a tool that makes guns so lethal and dangerous.
Certainly, a baseball bat will do the job. A knife, a brick, anything. A loaded pistol, however, when it is within easy reach, is just so convenient to have when you wanna teach that guy a lesson about sleeping with your wife or cutting you off in traffic. Giving both people a gun won't disarm the conflict, but you might wind up killing more than just the person you were angry with. At least a bat, or a knife, requires 'focus', you can't point and click a bat or a knife for the same lethal outcome.
'If you take away guns from the lawful you are empowering the lawless'.
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/front.....ocon/guns.html
Most guns aren't stolen. Guns are really, really easy to get in America, with gun sales, ads in the newspaper, thrift stores and pawn shops selling them for cheap. People who may not have committed a crime yet can obtain one with relative ease, and though they may SAY they are only going to use it for self defense, only want to use it to help strengthen their bargaining for drug deals or whatever. This isn't to say most people aren't buying guns with the intention of only to use them for the 'purest' of means, but even then, accidental shootings happen all the time from people who only wanted to have a weapon to protect themselves and their family.
The fact that a gun is so accessible to the common person is enough of an issue to keep guns always on the front page of the news and to keep many people living in fear of such weapons, making robberies commonplace from masked bandits who may or may not have obtained their gun legally. You cannot tell by looking at a person what someone might do with a gun, nor can you ascertain that someone 'safe' might have someone else in the family keenly interested in the arsenal to do something terrible with it.
And what defines someone who is lawless? Again, many gun crimes occur just because someone gets mad, so someone who lawfully collects guns for a hobby and was trained in responsible use suddenly decides they are sick of the crap and they go to town. Why not? They have the weapon and the motivation, why not use both?
'We have to be ready when our government oversteps their boundaries and infringes on our rights'. I think this argument came up when someone was discussing the constitutional rights of secession, if a state decides they want to secede from the union. Last time I checked, this is a democracy, and votes have overturned bill after bill after bill after bill, so our states and our country does listen to the majority, even if the losing half of the vote count doesn't get their way. We don't need a militia, we need actual practical solutions to our problems and not a bunch of wannabe soldiers shooting other soldiers in the head! I mean god, this isn't Nigeria, we don't have warlords calling the shots in armored tanks kidnapping women and children on a regular basis, we don't need fucking assault rifles and fully automatic weapons loaded and ready to go.
'We have to be ready when our government needs us to form a people's militia'. 5 military groups, multiple army bases, a massive police force, battleships, planes, drones, submarines, planes, helicopters, and a nuclear arsenal not good enough? We have to have a bunch of unorganized people running around blaming the world's problems on video games, music, and movies, and expect this militia to protect us from foreign attack? The government didn't ask it of you, you can't use that as an excuse. You're free to join the military if you want.
'If you take away our rights to guns you are infringing on our constitutional rights'. Ok. If you have a pistol, a hunting rifle, a crossbow, and an AK-47, if the ammo clip of your AK-47 is taken away, do you not still have arms? Are you not still 'armed'? Can you still shoot? Can you still hunt? Can you take your weapon to the hunting range? Of course you can. Is that infringing on your constitutional right? I checked, it isn't. It's taking away one breed of weapon that has no place in a common citizen's hands. I mean really, if you're going to have weapons like that, why not join the military and live on a military base? Because you don't want that responsibility? Because you dislike the government? Perfectly reasonable reasons, but don't think you're keeping such weapons around because you're doing your state a favor. You're doing it because you like it and it's 'fun'.
The mother who died before the Sandy Hook shootings also thought guns were fun too.
I don't have an issue with not allowing people to have any guns, but certain anti-personel 10 round-per-second equipment is just not necessary. Besides, everyone knows why the right to bear arms is there, due to British colonialism and soldier quartering/martial law that was occurring back then. In order for the Colonies to become independent, they colonists had to give some 'incentive' for Britain to back off. Now that we are independent, we no longer need such weaponry.
The only other thing I'm going to add here is that we really need to stop looking at guns as the solution to everything and start looking at ourselves as people and what we can do for each other, to make this world better instead of thinking about how much better 'protectors' we'd be by shooting someone 'bad'. It is that black and white morality that is making America so hated and what makes us look so ridiculous as a nation. We need to give a damn about other people, and stop trying to pretend that might is the only thing that is and ever will be right.
My brother and I had a brilliant thought about all this... why not teach every single man, woman, and child martial arts and self defense? It would encourage proper discipline and encourage physical activity, build confidence, teamwork, and make us able to properly defend ourselves from the lawless. 30 years from now, when this generation grows up, everyone will know how to defend themselves, have the discipline to know what to do in a crisis, and have the courage to be able to deal with life threatening situations in our schools and all the places guns will never be allowed.
I, for one, would love to see my future son or daughter learn how to wrestle a bully to the ground by his thumb.

My mood
Posted 13 years agoI seem to suffer from frequent mood swings. Right now the one I've been stuck in is extremely negative and hostile. I don't have a reason for it. I am told it's because of some trigger but I don't know what that trigger is, but I do know I've been having trouble talking to my friends online and I've been snippy with co-workers and customers as well. I don't know what's wrong with me but I do know I don't like it and I know I'm being rather hard to deal with right now. When I figure out the reason behind all this rage and finally calm myself down I'll probably be back to normal for awhile, though I'm wondering if there's something more severely wrong with me going on with my brain that's making me so angry and hostile to everybody.
To those I've offended, I'm truly sorry. I really don't know what's triggering this rage, but I'm not normally like this. I'll figure things out soon enough I guess.

Question about streaming!
Posted 13 years agoHow might one go about streaming a console game and have commentary? I was thinking it might be fun to attempt to so just that.
