Now that AC is over i can kinda talk about my experience. I was given the wonderful opportunity to join the Con as staff for the Art Show and its definitely been such a great experience. Im proud of the work we pulled off to make the Art Show as enjoyable as possible. I even got to meet some fans of my artwork out in the wild which was super cool and very surreal. For the most part i thought that my little doodles and commissions were very fringe. However having those interactions at the con plus the encouragement of others has given me a renewed focus. My goal is to keep growing on twitch.tv and get my art to a point that is better than what i had before. Once i can quit my day job and fully commit. I want to try and help staff more cons and keep facilitating that con experience for others! Hopefully i can submit my work in time for the reg process and show my work off in the Art Show next year!!

I lost my job back in the tail end of July after going to the ER for symptoms that, i believed at the time where similar to a stroke.

While i was out i had applied for FMLA leave through the company that my work used to handle claims, and after weeks of back and forth communication and corrections to paperwork with my doctors and the claims agent.

The company denied my claims for leave which subsequently caused my termination from an 8 year career as a NDT Inspector.
Normally i would go to another place and seek employment in a similar role, however my old work never gave me the actual licensed certification, and only a in-house one.

On top of claiming my on the job training hours that i documented as proprietary information, barring them from releasing it to other potential employers. This has now led to an odd issue where i cant work in the field i've been in anymore unless i pay for the certs out of pocket or move(which i am financially, and physically unable to do at the moment.). Which now leads me to this journal....

Its wild to think about how his health deteriorated so fast. We live in a country that claims it has the greatest healthcare in the world, but the stark reality is that had he been in a country with universal healthcare, his pulmonary condition would have been treated, and he would be alive right now. Its frustrating and saddening to see that the Health Insurance titans can essentially murder people for profit through denying care, and exorbitant costs. Its a very painful reminder that this system has to change so that others don't go through what Neer did. RIP...

It seems like other platforms like patreon, ko-fi, etc are starting to crackdown more on NSFW content creators, which is unfortunate as i was hoping to soon use patreon and other services to get my foot in the door with posting more content on those services. Hopefully subcribestar doesn't change before im ready to post stuff there. I would like to see more platforms allow NSFW but it seems that there are certain tags being hit the most that directly hurts NSFW Furry creators.

So I think i may be comfortable enough to start commissions up. Its been a bit of back and forth between doing it or not but i might as well get my feet wet and just do it. So how this will work is I will have 5 slots open to start, and will have a Google Form sheet to fill out. I will pick out ones based on ease of completion and time.
