I'm still a bit tired from it all. Sitting here eatting gaucamole and chips.
I made some good money. I LOVED seeing everyone, and nearly pissed myself when Roux was there, I totally fangirled, I've never really had that reaction to someone but SHIT I've been a fan for 8 years and Never thought I'd meet her!
She's in town so we're going out for lunch tomorrow and probably thrift shopping! 8) <333
I don't work again until Friday so I get to fucking CHILL. 9_9
I'll be selling everything that didn't sell at the con, so keep an eye out!

Posted 16 years agoThis week my bf is over, who insists I draw, so I'll have the motivation, and I need the money, badly, I had to replace some stuff in the house and the remaining money I have from AC -JUST- covers my dogs vet bill for the surgery. Since I'm not in the mood to be dead broke for the next 18 days I'm going to take on some badge commissions, something I havn't done online in AT LEAST a year.
Thing is, this time around, it's not first come first serve, reply with a ref and what you want and I'll note you if your character appeals to me at all.

Second Day of AC!
Posted 16 years agoI have the most worthwhile hangover ever right now.
Last night my bf, Chiv, Rob, Jolyn, Carly, Mayra, Caishide, her bf, Russel, and Crowe all went out to the kareoke bar and did 3 rounds of shots throughout the night, we easily spent 3 or 4 hours out there. I even got buzzed enough to sing along a bit. Two rounds of Irish car bombs and one round of Vodka sours. <3
I made just over $200 throughout the day in the dealers den, it should help my dog with her surgery. <3
After that PM and I hit up the Sushi Kim restaruant and had a really great meal! Then we cleaned up and changed and digested and he had to bandage his foot. :( We walked over to the Art Show Reception, expecting to run into Carly, instead we briefly talked to EC and Vera. I loved seeing all the art, some of it had me rediculously tempted to bid, we'll see later today!
If I make over $400 more today then I will!
Not sure what is going on tonight, but aparently there is another very good Indian place to check out for dinner. This time we need some people to drag along.
I wont be in the dealers den tomorrow unless I absolutely have the free time, afraid I wont.
Anyways, for now, I gotta put some clothes on and run down to the dealers den.

First Full Day of AC!
Posted 16 years agoYesterday I arrived, driving all the way from Northwest Michigan with PseudoManitou. <3
Last night We got our stuff and he registered. I ran into Guyver47 and her bf and Shrunken1 and their friends. We caught up on stuff and then I set up my dealers table and after all the work was out of the way PM and I went out to get some Indian food, on the way we ran into Ahkahna, her dude, and Quaylak, for the 3rd or so time. :P I was getting a little tired after dinner and took a really short nap. Jon came back to wake me up and then we went down to the Zoo.
We ran into Huskie and Dreamaria, everyone was unsure of the plans, they went outside to smoke and we went upstairs. We ended up sitting around drawing with Carly for over and hour, talking about what's new with us, and the general plans for the con, so on.
After is was getting past 12:30am we packed our stuff up, told Carly we'd catch up with her and the rest tomorrow after the dealers den closes.
We were on our way back when we ran into Chiv, Rob, Jolyn, and Crow! <3 We talked for a bit, highly amused at the fact that we have bordering rooms in the DoubleTree! They ran off to the Zoo to go fursuit and we went back and showered and passed out.

Unfortunatly, she is looking worse. The vet will contact me via phone during vacation and I'll know what I need to do by the time I'm home again.
In the mean time I'm going to ignore it in a non-apathetic way and enjoy my trip.

My dog may have cancer - PLEASE HELP!
Posted 16 years agoI took my dog to the vet yesterday to see about the bump on her leg that is getting worse rather fast.
Based on her age and the fact that it's not itching, she has next to no reaction to it, and it's hard basically points to cancer, the vet said.
The surgery and anesthesia will cost around $240, total, I'm going to skip the biopsy and testing because that would add OVER FIVE HUNDRED dollars to it. The vet also noted that she has lost three pounds, a LOT for a fox terrier. She has been eatting less I've noticed...
If I end up getting enough money she'll get a biopsy too, to find out what it is and where all it may be, but the surgery is the first priority.
It all makes me so sick and depressed to think about.
If you have ANY extra money at ALL please paypal it to deeda10@aol.com, if you would, really, please, I normally refuse to beg for money but if my dog dies or goes into further stages I can't handle it right now, I get paid next week, I can put $100 towards this but I'm still $140 short, and I KNOW I can get $20 of that from my grandma, the rest, I don't see how otherwise...

Portfolios to be mailed out NEXT WEEK!!
Posted 16 years agoI'm really sorry for the delay on sending them, last two paychecks were just enough for food, gas, rent/internet/utilities, and to get the boxes to ship the portfolios in.
I get paid Wedneday and considering how much I've worked lately it should be far more than enough to send out the portfolios with next Wednesday if I rush, or next Thursday morning, and don't worry, they will be shipped first class so they get to everyone ASAP.

Posted 16 years agoFirst of all, I was barely there.. Friday I set up, ran to class and came back to my spot in the Dealers Den to sell portfolios and con badges. An hour or so after being there I actually got confronted by a Dealer, an obese excuse for a woman under the name of B&T Alleycat Productions, getting literally up in my face, leaning over the table with both fat hands on it breathing fast food odor into my face while telling me to "Leave because I am an artist drawing commissions, not a dealer selling items, so I don't belong here." Something that shocked FarrelleMoon and the con security to the point that they banned her from the convention completely (to those who don't see what she did as wrong, let this be a warning). She had not only said this me, but said this to every other person she felt was in this catagorie. I did leave to go to the artist alley not because of her, but because I was across from her and wanted to calm down. Not only that, but I was seated across from someone who last year I Specifically requested NOT to be seated by, I found out this was not the cons fault, another problem was that unlike at cons that are actually planned out and have rules and guidelines, the dealers were all there before me and had taken the tables they wanted, NOT what they were assigned, sitting me in the corner, TAKING MY TABLE. On top of that, today, when I was at work, someone took over my PAID TABLE. I was livid, I gave up, it was managed SO BADLY I asked for a refund, which they happily gave me and were so nice about it and appologized so much, but I will never be back, regaurdless of the appologies, regaurdless of the re-vamping GraveWalker and the con staff told me they planned to do before next year. I just don't care. I didn't plan to go next year on a nuetral stand point due to college, but now I'll egarly never return, it's sad that it's a 10 minute drive away and still manages to be a waste of time and money.
Also, to the con staff, I'm not entirely blaming you, but this is such a small con, I don't see an excuse for letting it get this way, and I appriciate everything you did do.

Though, seeing Farrelle Moon, Mystee and Bastian again was good, but half the usual group was not present, but the social portion of the con was nice. Upon first going to the artist alley I sat beside Lil' Shock and across from Lyanti, GraveWalker and Ryoku and we were hurting laughing at the drawings on the dry erase board that got gradually worse, and the jokes that came from it. The staff kept trying to censor the board, they had no luck. I eventually just got restless and bored and left early, it felt so slow, and unfamilar to me.
I don't have a scanner here, but soon enough I'll finish my 5 new badge commissions and upload them, as suddenly I have absolutely nothing to do.

FWA, Spring Break, Baby Birds, Art, Alcohol, College...!
Posted 16 years agoI just recently realised I in fact COULD have made it to FWA, as it lands right on Spring Break. Regaurdless, I don't care, I'm still 99.9% sure last year was my last.
I'll be at PsuedoManitou's place for a good 5 days of break instead, even though it's 9 days long, I leave on the 6th day because of homework and work, and will most likely be really depressed.
But for now I feel great, and just got through mid-terms, which means now I can bust my ass for finals.
I havn't really been eatting, lately it's been upwards of 10 hours on campus most days, coming home and making myself eat some spinach and pineapple and a cup of soy milk, just because I know I should.
Aside from school, my birds now have a new cage, a very large cage, a flight cage for the babies, which are just now getting tiny hints of feathers showing!
I get paid today, and tomorrow night will be an all nighter, and late St. Patrick's Day with some friends.

Posted 17 years agoI get paid tomorrow, which is great, I've ben broke for days now. I have like.. $3 spendable dollars in the bank, and a couple boxes of food left here, vegan sloppy joes, some peppers, some baby tomatoes, ugh. So, money will be helpful.
I meant to mail people out on Monday, but due to the above, that didn't happen.
I'm getting everything ready to mail, and will have it out sometime between this Thursday and next Monday.

I would have been in the zoo, but after a night of drinking with Chiv and the guys I went back to the room with mine and had to say goodbye to one another, which took us like an hour, I just took a bath and tried to fall asleep, that was the only sad part though.
Chiv and I did share Wonderful mixed drinks, didn't even taste likie alcohol because we are both wusses about that shit. <3 The PM almost knocked the table over accidently, which was funny if nothing else. XD <3
Sitting by 2 in the dealers den was actually nice, he is nicer than I expected, he's just different one on one, and was very nice to his fans as well.
I sat in a square of dealers tables that was made up of 2, ECMajor, Ursula's bf, and PseudoManitou, all bald guys, which was pretty funny and I got roomate threats of getting my head shaved in my sleep so I'd fit in. 8( :P
I had an amazing time with my roomates and PM. Huskie's party on Saturday was great, and allowed me to meet the lovely Crow. <3 I've got to spend more time with Jolyn.
I had the nicest high I've ever had at that party too.
SkullDog was <3 the morning she gave me a huge can of Rockstar energy drink.
We did a lot of walking in the rain, sometimes on purpose.
One of the nights we all watched Anaconda and told jokes and stories and ended up ending the night in a pillow fight, and we did the same the last morning until we had feathers going everywhere.
I've never been that healthy at a con before, our only breaking point was when me and the guys broke down and ate french fries while stuck in the dealers room. We had to drag a rediculous amount of stuff up and down 7 flights of stairs mulitiple times. And I thought I'd miss the gym..
Me and the 3 guys I spent most of my time with are all vegan or on the verge of it, so we found a Very delicious Indian food resturant, which the majority of us hit up again one last time right before hitting the road. In all the goodbyes and packing and what not I NEARLY drove off with their car keys in my purse.
Before that we had to break into ECMajors jeep, after packing Everything we locked the keys in the car. >.<
Sorry to hear about all the problems you were having, Leelee. :( *hug*
I made a grand in the dealers room.. hopefully next time I wont spend $800 of that on everything for the con... Because of that I'm going to be selling leftovers and taking the last few slots that weren't full at the con, look for a post on that if you're interested.
I'll be in the dealers room next year, I can already say that much, I wont have to put everything together again like I did this time around, it's already ready.
So now I'm feeling hungry and a bit tired, I just returned the rental car, and paid, ouch, I may or may not work today. If I don't work, I'm spending today drawing.
Also, stop telling me to check ED for various reasons, i havn't set eyes on the site in a year and a half, I don't care! D:
I'm going to make a real post on my friends-only LJ, and also in my art LJ (muttbitch) so you can all see an update, just add that username to see it, it's 'public' but still locked posts.

I'm Back - Attention Commissioners! Read!
Posted 17 years agoI'm back, sorry for briefly running off and not getting any progress done art-wise. I helped GraveWalker move in and school has been keeping me busy. She finally seems settled in. But I'll be back in Canada in two weeks, so I will try to get as much art as I can done between now and then so I don't get too backed up at MorphiCon. Also, June means finals, AnthroCon. I hope you understand why I've slowed down a little, things will pick up, GraveWalker will keep me drawing, if nothing else. :P

GraveWalker Will Be Living With Me
Posted 17 years agoYep. Figured I'd say it since I noticed she did. Yeah, my best internet buddy is now a RL friend officially in t minus 8 days. I leave to get her next Thursday and we come back to my place Saturday or Sunday.
I'm still in school so she's living here until June when we can go apartment hunting.
I also may end up working as much as 4 days a week until finals roll around, though hopefully it will stay at 3. Between her, my pets, my job, commissions, and college I can say you'll be seeing less of me, but I'll check as much as possible still for the sake of my commissioners, who, honestly, I'd prefer simply text my phone and talk in real time to me.
On top of that I'm in the process of transfering back to my original college now that I can afford it again, and if it happens that will mean that commissions are closed for the year with the exception of commissions I'm taking at conventions. Which will only be AnthroCon and MorphiCon, sorry, all the ones that were up in the air are officially off for me.
But you will see us both, along with her bf in the Dealers Room at MorphiCon next month, we are really looking forward to it! We hope to see some of you there!
