art posts resuming soon
Posted 5 years agoDisclaimer: this is not kandlin, this is Galadreal. I am writing this while he gets small children ready for nap time.
Now that we have moved, and partly settled in, are working on getting caught up, and still have no time, but fuck it, I want to try to get more art posting done here. I am....nearly a year behind on art. It is all available and free to anyone who wants it through dropbox. I am not going to post a link here, because I don't want to get anyone banned. I also need to rework the website I started before Izzy was born and make that available. What does this mean for you? Hopefully I will soon be able to start posting kandlin's art again, as well as be able to link to a repository of it, but it is going to take a long time to upload the couple thousand files I have.
Thank you again for your patience, this space has not died, and I will try to get back to posting again soon. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for sticking around and watching tall sexy (kandlin) do art.
for now, I am going to go take over with kiddo's so kandlin can get back to the drawing board.
P.S. for those wondering, I do try to regularly purge the NSFW part of the gallery since we have had a few older images come back and bite kandlin in the ass (NOM NOM NOM) years after he posted them, so, we don't want to keep them up for more than a couple of months. Once again, copies of them are saved, just not here.

End of the Move; Kind of
Posted 5 years agoThose that have been keeping up on my pages or Patroen or Discord might know that we've had a major move recently. While we've only moved a few towns over (about 35 min drive from original location) picking up and boxing a family of 4's possessions from over the last 12 years is a daunting task as the best of times.
We DID hire movers, and that lead to a nightmare of smashed tea ceramics and broken glasses. While some issues were to be expected, I found the act of them boxing at least 5 boxes of nothing but trash +1 movable item. While the box filled with grocery bags and cat crap was a close to top annoyance, I do have to give credit to the box that had a box that had a smaller box in it (and that was it).
But not to only complain about things, I did want to give a shout out to everyone who's helped support us in the time and those that have great patience with us and the weeks lack of artwork and streams. While we do have start to the unpacking taken care of, we still have almost a garage full of boxes to find places for in our home. Slow going, but to be done eventually. We'll be working to get back to some sort of normal stream schedule and art posting soon, and just ask (again) for patience while we get things going, especially from everyone with past due commissions that we're trying to schedule in (many thanks).
Our oldest will most likely NOT be attending in-person school come this fall, so we're having to look to see what our options are with that as well, which means more kid-sitting time and "home schooling" (I use quotes because he has the attention span of a gnat and I have no idea what we're doing).
Regardless, keep an eye out for our streaming schedule and with any luck by next month we'll be on a regular rotation. Thanks again to everyone for the support.

Moving Sucks (GoFundMe)
Posted 5 years agoAfter almost 6 months of working and packing and trying we FINALLY have our house under contract and a down payment on a different house. It's only slightly larger and more out-of-town but in a better school district and with an area to try convert to a work office later down the road.
However, since the staging and bidding and such of the current project has taken a toll on our saving (and the work time to refill those savings) we've set up a GoFundMe to try to cover a small part of the moving cost. It would be profoundly appreciated if anyone could drop a $1 or two there to help out.
https://www.gofundme.com/f/Coffee-T.....=copy_link-tip
Once we're situated (hopefully mid-next month) I'll be able to try to catch up on past due stuff and shortly after that start taking on new commissions/projects. Thanks for reading this and big thanks for the patience while we get things figured out. As always, we've got the streams going Monday, Tuesday and Thursday on Picarto, so fee free to check those out. Thanks again for the continued support.
Hand in there, stay safe and healthy and keep on keeping on.

Hey! It's that Journal thing for hearing about people's l...
Posted 5 years agoObligatory update journal with little update.
Mostly want to put out there that things have been super busy a across the board with (barely) keeping up with artwork, keeping up with childcare and trying desperately to get the house sold so we can look at moving; which we can’t even plan out until we get this house under contract. D:
Ultimately, it’s been overwhelming and there’s been a huge lack of me trying to keep appraised on online issues for some time now. So if you’ve tried to contact or message me or whatnaught in any way outside of the Discord of the Picarto streams, then I apologize if I haven’t addressed it yet or if it’s just flown under my radar.
Having said that, I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy and keeping well in these turbulent times. Hang in there and be good and thanks to any/everyone who’s enjoying my art.

Delays
Posted 6 years agoSorry again for all the delays in posting, real life has a tendency to laugh hysterically at my plans to get organized. So, while Patreon supporters get to see everything as soon as it is finished, and I uploading most things here, I do dropbox art dumps once a month with all the work over on the discord server...usually about a week into the new month, though I have taken longer when shit happens and I forget.
Still, if you want access to all my work, go check out the discord server, the link is in the profile, a few lines under the Patreon and Subscribestar links.

asking for suggestions
Posted 6 years agoTrying to take a quick poll on if people would be interested in any of the following:
YCH auctions
template based YCH commissions
adoptables or custom adoptables
We are trying to think of ways to do more than just sketch commissions but since those are our main source of income, we want to get some ideas before we try out other options. These were some of the suggestions we got, so we are checking interest before we proceed. Once again, these are really rough ideas, and we are not going to decrease streams any time soon, just putting out feelers, looking for suggestions, and bouncing ideas around. If you have one, we would love to hear it.
Much thanks!

ATTENTION - Paystream Pause; August 12th to 18th
Posted 6 years agoJust a heads up;
For the next week, starting Monday the 12th, I won’t be doing the normal paystreams that I have been doing for the last year. We’ll be taking a ‘break’ using that time to focus on past due commissions and Patreon requests and poll pics. I’ll be active during those times and might be streaming the results and work as well, but they won’t be the request paystreams for then.
We’ll be going back to the normal paystream schedule on 19th, hopefully owing those patiently waiting a bit less and able to open for non-stream commissions again.
Anyway, back to the drawing board.

Stream Schedule Interruptions
Posted 6 years agoI think I got... 3 hours? sleep last night?
Gail got considerably less.
Iz has a thing of waking up every 5 minutes this week, so it's a thing.....
Due to our new additions, and a VERY generous GoFundMe campaign set up by others,we've taken a week off from streaming as of LAST Wednesday to try to get schedules all worked around and hopefully a baby that'll let us get sleep in more than 3 minute intervals.
We will be (hopefully) resuming streaming at their usual times starting this Wednesday with the Patreon request stream (8:30pm cst) and then go on from there with the Thursday and Saturday stream (also 8:30pm cst). The week after that will hopefully be back to full schedules streams on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, though honestly the outside commissions will still be a bit slow as I have even less out-of-stream time to work on them now.
Big thanks again for the support on the GoFundMe for a week off of streams, and thanks for the patience while my family gets things all settled out to somewhat more normal, but still hectic, routine. Thanks again!
But as for now, back to the drawing board.

New Additions +1
Posted 6 years agoPosted on the Discord and the Twitter, but for those not aware.....
Yesterday we welcomed the new, and fairly early, addition to
galadreal's and my's family; our baby daughter, Saoirse.
Of course having a newborn on hand means major interruptions to workflow at this time, so I'll ask for patience on outstanding commissions and updates. We'll try to keep things going as smooth as possible, but it's going to be fairly bumpy from here on out.
But until then, back to the drawing board.

Lack of updates, schedule changes, and general information
Posted 6 years agoHey, this is Galadreal. Kandlin is cooking dinner right now, so I wanted to try to get an update out real quick since we have been so slammed for time. First of all, to everyone comming to streams for commissions, it is much appreciated, and I am sorry we have been behind this last week on getting finished art out.
Which brings us to information. Many people know, but I am almost 8 months pregnant, and this time around has been a lot rougher. Other than my own health complications, she has decided not to rotate like she is supposed to, so we have a cessarian scheduled for June 5th. But, I have been to the ER twice now for blood pressure issues, so we are hoping to hold out that long. This last time was on a Wednesday night, but I was admitted and held till later Thursday, which threw our schedules off, and is why we are running a few days behind on getting art out from the last couple of streams. Additionally, if you have a commission open, you are still on the list, barring death or dismemberment, we will get to you.
This is also why I am behind on uploading art packs on discord and for Patreon supporters. Sorry guys. I have almost a full month of sketches to post, but I have been put on partial bedrest. They wanted total bedrest, but having a toddler does not really allow for that sort of thing. So. For now I will be watching The Bean in the mornings, so kandlin can get some work done. And passing him off to kandlin in the afternoons so I can get some rest before the evening streams. Once the raffles have been done on those and invoices sent, I will be getting rest again. At least, that is the plan.
I will be trying to get stuff set up to post through postybirb during the streams, as time allows, but we may just have a bit of a slowdown in posting for awhile. Sorry.
As for paypal, we are still getting asked about it and it is not, and will not be an option again anytime in the foreseeable future. We are accepting donations through commiss.io, and using Stripe and Artconomy for payment processing. Artconomy will probably become our default once they get guest checkout finished, which I have been told they are working on.
Finally, due to surgery and my being flat on my back with my abdomen sliced open, the first couple of weeks of June will be pretty chaotic on our end. I beg your indulgence during this transition time, and thank everyone again for their patience while kandlin wrangles a toddler, and adjusts to waking up every 3 hours again for nightime feedings. I can pretty much guarantee that we will both be half asleep and grumpy during the interm.

Alternatives to PayPal
Posted 6 years agoSo...we got screwed by Paypal yesterday. They won't even talk to me about why, just permalimit on account, with $300 dollars locked in. I am trying to look at other options, options that are safe for adult artwork. but apparently CCBill does not work with furries. Or, Rather, they have a no-animals policy...WTH?
Dwolla's TOS says you can't use their service for Escorts, but I see nothing about pornography, which is in almost everywhere else. Commiss.io uses Stripe, which also has a no adult artwork policy, and their invoicing system is strange.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
