Ever since I got done with moving and settling in, i've been working and streaming nearly nonstop, then took a two week vacation to go hang out with friends and celebrate a birthday.
And then went right back to streaming nearly non stop since I got back from that.
But I guess all that good luck came at a cost
I've had an unfortunate sting of bad luck
First it was just small things I cant find
Then one of my two African Clawed frogs passed away, they were around 12-13 years old
And now my pc is dead
I was having issues with it for the two weeks after getting back from vacation until it finally just stopped booting

I sat with a friend who does IT repair stuff and knows their way around pc for the same reason
We've been hard at for trying to fix my pc over the past few days but we've exhausted literally everything we could troubleshoot and we are officially calling dead.
Thankfully I have another friend helping me out with parts left over from their upgrade and they sent them out so I just need to wait for those to arrive!

Till then I have my standalone tablet i use for doodling when Im away from my pc

That said this time away from my main pc and unable to stream like usual has taken a HUGE hit on my income and things are rough rn

As such I'll be posting various adopts (if any), but mostly various YCH auctions.
But that wont be all I post, I really want to get back to keeping up with posting the commissions ive done, and various art ive done so theres gonna be a flood of that.

But my application has been approved and they'll have the lease and every thing ready to go at the end of the month

I've been writing a bunch of stuff for a large comic I've wanted to do and I'm finally getting the ball rolling. I'm now at 180 pages written for my comic, and my goal is 250
I've already started working on sketching the first 10 pages so i can start to get things rolling on Patreon and Subscribestar where they'll get pages early while the pages will be posted publicly weekly. but patreon will always be about 5 pages ahead.
I'm really excited for this project though, and I just need the time to be able to work on it.

I'm okay now, mostly healed, some minor pain in the gut occasionally if i cough or get the hiccups
the medical bills are the thing that really hurt, since i didn't have insurance the combined amount from all the bills I had gotten came out to just over $24,000 and I make a tad too much to be covered under free health insurance, or their in house financial aid programs.
not going to lie, it really makes you look at these bills and wonder if it was even worth it some days.

so now not only do i need to pay that in payments, but I still am trying to move
I still need to find a pet friendly apartment, but the biggest problem lately has been the fact that my first two years doing full time art I didn't make a lot, this year and last year i've been making enough to afford a decent place
but the problem is the landlords i contact either don't consider self employment as a source of legitimate stable income, or the see the tax return for the year and one month out of the 4 months this year that i didn't make a lot and say that because of that I don't make enough by their standards
even though last year i made enough, and the bank statements from Jan-April all show that i still make enough.

on top of that my landlord has switch to full on "no animals/pets" and it looks like they most likely won't be renewing my lease again. so i'm forced to figure something out because it's figure something out, or end up homeless.
and no i can't just get a regular job because i have tried, and they all just tell me that it's because of the now 3 year gap in my employment history, or i just am not qualified for the position even though it's literally just data entry or janitorial work. and the other thing keeping me from most of the jobs here is i need a car for most of them, which i don't have.

I'm at the point where I'm just considering doing a GoFundMe just so i can get together a down payment for a house. cause i'm tired of this, tired of being told that my work isn't legitimate, tired of 90% of these apartments being not pet friendly, tired of constantly being rejected by these landlords. I can afford monthly payments on a house, but it's that huge down payment that hits hardest.

originally my current apartment had a no pets policy but they said having a lizard was fine, but over the past few years they've been dropping hints that they would REALLY rather not have any pets here.
so i'm just gonna move to a pet friendly apartment.
Like i said I need to save up a considerable amount of funds, mostly moving costs, move in costs, and early lease termination fees.
all together i need about $4000, of which i currently have $1250 of as of today! (3/16/2025)
I'd like to be moved out by the end of april at the soonest

on top of that I just had to go to the hospital yesterday due to some gut pains and a severe fever which turned out to be appendicitis so they took me into the OR for an Appendectomy. I haven't gotten the bill yet, but i'm anxiously waiting for my bill and really not looking forward to it
but frankly, i'd rather go into debt than be dead.
i'm also looking into the financial aid options they gave me.

I'll be doing some adopts, mostly some ych's so i can save up the money to move first then i'll worry about medical debt after.
