Friday the 13th, November 2009
General | Posted 16 years agoLike always I was afraid I would get hurt today as I do every Friday the 13th. It started with falling out of bed, biting my lip and tongue, and falling down in the shower. I then later tripped on the stairs and lastly, slammed three toes into the corner of a wall which caused the nails to crack.
September 17th, 2009
General | Posted 16 years agoIt is now my birthday, making me 25 years old. Don't really know what else to say actually.
It's over.
General | Posted 16 years agoJuly 6th, 1:03 am, my father passed away. I stayed with him for hours until the end. He went totally painlessly with his loved ones around. He even said when he was going to go. He knew how much time he had. He was ready and went in peace.
I can't handle this
General | Posted 16 years agoI'm on the verge of a complete mental breakdown. My father is not going to survive much longer. He's so weak and just in bed on morphine to keep him comfortable. He's going to die...
......
General | Posted 16 years agoToday, my father went to the docter for tests due to his pneumonia. They told him he has lung cancer...
March 2009, Friday the 13th
General | Posted 17 years agoWell, it's that day again. Lets see what's happened to me this time, shall we? For starters, I fell down in the shower. Then, while shaving, I got a nice deep cut next to my eye. I was late walking to the mall to meet some friends to pick up our DM kits. FYI, I'm registering as an official RGPA GM/DCI...look it up or ask a tabetop gamer. Anyways, after getting there I found out why I wasn't getting any sound in my right earbud from my discman. The copper wire fibers had torn, so I need new ones. Other random annoyances like forgetting to zip up after using a public bathroom when going commando, then catching myself in my zipper. Oh last thing that happened was a faceplant in my driveway due to black-ice. Also, I've been slightly nautious all day due to equilibrium loss from an inner-ear infection.
Finally, a good remake.
General | Posted 17 years agoI know I saw it a month late, but last night I saw the recent Friday the 13th remake with some friends and it was bloody amazing. Best comedy movie I've seen in a long long time. And before I hear people saying it wasn't a comedy, it was to me. I just have that kind of sense of humor. I mean, the part where the guy gets his leg stuck in a bear trap which forces him to watch his girlfriend burning to death made me laugh so hard, they had to come over and tell me to keep it down or I would have to leave the theater. Again, yes, we get our movies almost a month late, depending on the rating. Man, it was an awesome movie. I am a huge Jason Voorhees fan so I was happy to see how they did this movie. It was true to the classics without any bullcrap like what they did in Jason X. And believe me, I was skeptical. During the opening credits, the moment I saw that horrible name...the name that killed The Transformers I actually shouted. I said, right aloud in the theater "God damn mother f**ker Michael Bay! " Seriously, I hate that guy. But he actually did a good job in this movie. But it still doesn't clear him for what he did to Transformers. As far as I am concerned, he's another Uwe Boll. A trail of crap with one good movie. Bay's was Friday the 13th and Boll's was Postal. Oh and for the hell of it, I made sure to ruin that theater's Mens' room. Why? Well, multiple reasons. one of the big ones being that the sink faucets are the kind that the very second you take your hand off of them, they shut off. Not even a three second timer. Just...off. I wont go into detail about what I did in there, but lets just say that when I heard someone else go into that bathroom, they said "Oh god, no!"
Back online...again.
General | Posted 17 years agoWell, I'm retarded apparantly. Turns out that grinding noise was not my hard drive, but one of the six fans in my pc. Damn that thing is cold inside. Anyways, after getting that fixed and some unesessary files and spyware removed, and a full diagnostic, it only cost me $30. If I had taken it to a retail store for repair, it would have been $60. So coming back on the PC later, cause I am still on the Wii while the system scan/repair runs for a few hours. Gonna look at random youtube stuff and maybe play Sonic Unleashed for a bit. Shut up, Sonic Unleashed is actually a decent game. That guy from Zero Punctuation just sucked horribly at it.
Computer problems again!
General | Posted 17 years agoOk, so only a week or so after getting the video card replaced, my hard drive decides that it is its turn to screw up. First the monitor, then my speakers, then the video card, now a hard drive crash. So bloody pissed off. I'm typing this out, looking at random online stuff, and responding to email all through the wii. The on-screen keyboard with a wiimote has a tendency to cause a sore wrist, especially since I like to type out paragraphs and long rants. So I'm stopping here to keep this post short so I can prevent wrist problems and to save up for more ranting when I do get my pc working.
February 2009, Friday the 13th.
General | Posted 17 years agoWell lets see how my luck was today. First the theatre apparantly refused to show the Friday the 13th remake, which pissed me right off. Later, I was bored and went to watch a snowboarding exhibition and got some wicked frostbite. Their was no part of me that was not in pain and I could not move my face muscles. Then my glasses (which I only need for driving and long distance) actually froze my face so taking them off resulted in yanking off some skin. But what really made me mad was at the end of the day, a bird crapped on my nice clean car. Man, what that bird left made me think it was sick. The only good thing today was watching snowboarders get hurt. Oh yeah, and this morning the sunlight reflecting off the icy-snow made me go temporarily blind. I'm just glad the day is over.
Back online
General | Posted 17 years agoWell, got my PC back and it's all fixed now. Turned out each and every single capacitor on my video card had burst open from an overheat. Apparently some kind of power surge killed the fan in it. Hmm, I wonder if this has anything to do with the reported power surge caused by my internet provider that killed a bunch of people's PCs..
Stuck semi-offline
General | Posted 17 years agoWell, right now I'm in a bit of a predicament. My pc totally died last week and I have no idea why. Ran avast and as soon as it finished, b.s.o.d. After that it simply would not send any signal to the monitor. Took it in to get serviced but unfortunatly, I do not have a key for XP Pro. So here I am, typing this out on my Wii and trying not to get mad that it slows my typing down to 1.5 seconds for a one syllable word. So no pc for a while and I don't feel like paying $300 for a copy of XP.
Update
General | Posted 17 years agoSo about two days ago, Fallout 3 actually FINALLY patched for 360 users. Yeah, think about when I last complained about it. It finally got done when the PC guys got patched a lot earlier. But still, finally. One thing about the 360 I didn't know, and I am guessing most people did, is you actually need to clear your cache every now and then. This was the first time I had ever heard of a console needing you to clear the cache. Sonovabitch... Also, my internet provider is still making me use 1 mb per second download rates because they claim they don't provide anything higher in my region, yet about 70% of my town is using 3 mb per second rates. So things have been pretty boring and just pissing me off lately, although at least I finally saw something on youtube that made me happy recently. And that youtube video was a man fighting, not beating up but actually FIGHTING....toddlers. Beautiful...I loved it. Nothing much makes me happier than seeing a child get the crap beat out of them.
Xbox Live Gold, don't bother with it.
General | Posted 17 years agoOk, Halo 3 is just pissing me off now. The people that play online just bitch and scream and you can barely understand them. Not only that, but the achievments are a pain for me to unlock and you have to do them in ranked free for all slayer, which revolves around only five of the maps! There are a whole bunch of maps to play on, and you can only use a few. Ever. I am glad I only got one month of free live access because I would not pay to deal with these people. I'm sticking to Xbox Live Silver. It's free, lets me download updates and the FREE additional content, and chat with friends. Good enough. Besides, I only own a few games and I mostly just play Fallout 3 and Mass Effect.
Just an update.
General | Posted 17 years agoJust putting stuff here 'cause I haven't updated this journal in a while. Lets see, not much going on lately. Just got back from a trip to Prince George, BC. Picked up an Xbox 360 Elite and a copy of Fallout 3. At the EB games I went to, though, they sold me a Holiday Bundle 360 Elite but it didn't work. As soon as I turned it on, it made a loud grinding noise and the disc tray didn't open. Took it back and asked to test another one in the store and the same thing happened to another holiday bundle system. Tested a regular 360 elite and it worked. According to the guy at the register, his whole batch of 360 Elite Holiday Bundles were bad. Well, got a working one now but Fallout 3 is pissing me off. Was working on the Big Town quest and it's bugged. They asked me to go to the junkyard and fix their robots there, but there are no robots in the junkyard, great. Now I need to buy a wireless adapter so I can connect to Xbox Live so I can get a damned patch.
September 17
General | Posted 17 years agoWell, not much to say yet but It's my 24th birthday today. Kept waking up every 20 minutes due to cthulhu related nightmares. Then again, I was watching a marathon of Cthulhu movies beforehand. Also it was pretty hot last night...but I digress. It's my birthday and the day just started. It's 10:20 am when I am typing this so, Drinking time!
Connection upgrade
General | Posted 17 years agoRight, so I was looking over the packages my internet service provider (Telus) gives its customers. I was curious about something so I called them up and had to navigate a damn voice-operated phone tree. That's right, voice operated. Not pushing 1 and 2 for options but saying them. This thing had bad voice recognition and they hide the options to get in contact with a real person. So I get mad at this and end up throwing my phone, then go down to the mall to Sight and Sound. I ask the people there how you're supposed to contact a real person on the Telus customer service line. It turns out, you need to know a secret word that they don't tell you. You have to just constantly repeat the word Agent at each menu. So I finally get through to a person and find out that if I upgrade, because of some loopholes, I will go from 1.0 Mbps to 3.0 Mbps, get a free wireless router, and it's a dollar cheaper than my current connection. So rather than look a gift horse in the mouse, I sign up right away because it is an upgrade yet it is a bit cheaper. So in a few days I'll have a higher download rate, free router, and a dollar off my bill. Heh, no more leaching off my neighbor's unstable weak wireless signal for me anymore.
Been sick.
General | Posted 17 years agoOk, been a while and a bit of stuff has happened, lets see if I can remember it. Well, my cousin got married so I had to go to the wedding and reception for it. The food there was ok, save for the roast beef. It was cooked rare to medium rare, which I hate because it doesn't totally cook out all the possible bacteria carried in the meat, so I ended up getting painful food poisoning, as did my grandmother and my aunt, though my aunt took the brunt of it and got a bleeding ulcer from it. Then I had a bad allergic reaction to dust, which basically made it so I had to struggle to breathe, cold chest, etc... So here I am, pains in my stomach, having a hard time breathing, and feeling like I had to cough all the time. Not much else really has been happening actually, I guess. If more comes to mind or more happens, I'll post it up here.
Pissed off and on.
General | Posted 17 years agoOk, so today just after I finish cleaning the tank I keep my two pet turtles in, I decide to take them outside to get some sun and exercise. I let them walk around for a bit until these two big crows start circling above. I threw a couple rocks at the birds but they kept coming back, obviously they wanted my turtles. I took my turtles back inside and put one in the tank. When I was starting to put the other one in the tank as well, she pees on my shirt. I was just holding her and a clear liquid springs from her and hits the front of my shirt. Now, I knew what it was cause she's the turtle that scares easy, very timid. I was pretty mad after I put her back in because this had never happened before. I'm still pretty ticked off right now and it took everything I had not to just smack my turtle.
Friday the 13th Part 2
General | Posted 17 years agoWell, I was right. The getting burned was nothing. At about 11:50 pm, I fell down the stairs thus causing me to get a bruised leg and ripped my favorite pants. Then I stepped on an empty Pringles chips can..tube..thing and ended up on my back, hitting my head on the couch. Well, at least that day is over..
Friday the 13th
General | Posted 17 years agoWell, I'm scared today. Every Friday the 13th, I get hurt in some way. Worst one so far was back in high school when I feel out of the bus cause the driver decided to open the door and lurch forward. Its still early today at 1:24 pm and I burned myself on my lunch and cut my hands de-icing my fridge. I still have the whole day ahead of me and I'm gonna try to stay in one room, surrounded by pillows just to be safe.
What heat?
General | Posted 17 years agoOk I'm starting to get pissed an just about everyone around me. Everyone's complaining about how hot it is out, yet I'm walking around in dark clothes and a leather jacket and I'm still a little chilly. I guess I'm just too used to the heat now. I keep my room at around 30 Celsius all the time, that's about 82 or so to you Americans. Anything less than that and I feel cold. Not much else been going on besides that except I finally found my knife that I lost a few months ago. Of all places I thought it look, I never checked the couch and that is where it was. Damn, felt stupid after I found it.
