Posted 10 years agoUpdates!
Oh, hey it's been a while! I didn't mean to disappear on everyone, life just got extremely busy. It's starting to slow down some and that gives me a little more time to work on things in the art world. The long and short of it is I got a new job and lost it all within two months but I'm not too upset over it because the people were not the best to work with, I had a falling out with a few friends (won't go into details) and went through a depression from it which was a massive blow to my creative flow, I took a weekend trip to an amusement park with some friends and other people I was acquaintances with to get me out of my funk, and I participated in GISHWHES (if you don't know what it is, look it up, it's a lot of fun!).
I met one of the most amazing guys from that trip I mentioned before and I honestly can't think of the words to describe him. He's everything I've ever wanted in someone. It might sound a bit cliche, but it's all so clear now why none of my previous relationships worked. He's just... fantastic. I don't want to get too mushy on you guys, so I'll leave it at that ^^;
Fall-Themed YCH!
Tomorrow I'll be uploading a YCH on my other account (here: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/sinnabelle). I'll also be putting up a couple sketches to sell. All of these will be fall or Halloween themed. Only the YCH will be fully detailed, the others will be a kind of 'pick your finish' thing.
Why am I selling so much all of a sudden? Well, to be frank, I'm out of a job and I'd like to push myself again with my art. I want to get into a rhythm of working for 8+ hours on art a day with weekends to myself. The other reason is because I am in a mad scramble to scrape together enough cash for a trip to Florida again for a few days next month. I'd like to get at least $400 together since I'm planning on driving down this time instead of flying and renting a car again. I will have a goal meter up on both of my pages to keep track of everything. So! I'll be offering quite a few different things to choose from.
Now that all that business is out of the way, how has everyone been doing? I've missed talking to everyone!Want a chance at some free art?

Posted 10 years agoHey guys! It's been a while since I've uploaded anything on here. So here's a little update for you guys!
Concert month has come and gone for me, and it was so much fun! If you've checked my other account, you'll see that I had a big project for one particular guy and I may or may not have strained my wrist too much while working on it ^^; But it was worth it, I got a biiiiig hug out of it and I think I made his evening better since he said he put on a bad show that night.
Another big thing that happened during concert month that I'm pretty proud of is one of the guitarists from another band came up to me after a show and asked for my number ^///^ (never happened to me before, even with your average non-band dude, so this is a big deal for me!) We've talked some and he says he'd like to go out on a date next Thursday. I'm a little nervous since I've not been out on an actual date in nearly three years. Here's to hoping it goes well!
On top of all of this, I've started a new job. It's been taking up quite a bit of my time in the afternoon, and I'm even thinking of picking up a second job to occupy my time during the day. So what does that mean in terms of art? Well it certainly doesn't mean I'm stopping! It just means that future pieces will be slow, and few and far between. I do still draw in my spare time, but as of late, Ive not been too inspired to draw much. And until my wrist starts feeling better, I might not put much out anyways. I do have one thing I just started working on that I will upload at some point in the day tomorrow.
Also, there's another big thing that might happen in the future for me, but I don't want to say what yet, just because it's still up in the air. I'm a little nervous about it, but still excited at the idea should everything work out.
Anyway, this concludes my little "slice of life" update! How has everyone been?I've returned!
Posted 10 years agoI made it back home last night, and I had such a blast on my mini vacation! There is a tl;dr at the bottom if you don't want to read all my ramblings.
I got to my friend's house at about 11pm on Friday, so we couldn't do much, but we did make a run to the store for some last-minute show supplies. We got some sunscreen and two huge bottles of water since that's pretty much all we were allowed to bring in with us to the event.
Saturday was EDBD, and it was great! Before we arrived at the fairgrounds, my friend posted up a picture on instagram and tagged our local band, Bobaflex, in it saying we were excited to see them. The bassist wrote back asking for some sunscreen (poor babe would've baked alive lol) so as soon as their first set was over at 12, we went to say hi and deliver the goods to our needy bassist. We talked to the other guys too for a bit before they left for their meet and greet and acoustic set. They're such great guys, really down to earth, and it's always such a pleasure seeing them. We did go to their acoustic set and it was beautiful. It was our first time seeing them play acoustically, and I have to say, I will definitely be going to another one of those if I get the chance. Next time we see them will be on the 29th of April and I can't wait to see them again on home turf. (I was really out of my element down in FL >-<;)
We also got to see Slash ft. Miles Kennedy and The Conspirators live. We got fairly close to the stage too considering just how many people were there. They played Sweet Child O Mine and Paradise City, two songs I never would have thought I would get the pleasure if haring live and in person. Sevendust and Buckcherry were on before them I think and they both played a pretty good show as well. Most all of the songs they played, I knew and it was great to see.
But the biggest thing for me was seeing Five Finger Death Punch that night. I can finally cross that off my lists of bands to see. They played such a great show, and they were so dang respectful to all of those in the crowd that either were currently or previously enlisted in the military. They even brought one gentleman (who's name is currently escaping me) onstage from the meet and greet to come out and say hello to everyone. He was the only one from his group that served in Iraq and made it back alive. It really made me feel some powerful emotions to see how many people expressed their gratitude for him. Then they pulled up some kids on stage to give them some of the spotlight. That was absolutely adorable seeing all the families from the crowd come up and seeing all the little kid's faces light up. Such a great set. Will definitely be going to see them again if given the opportunity.
All through the day, photographers kept coming up to my friend and I asking for pictures, even a lady who wasn't even there specifically for pictures asked for one. It was quite an eventful day.
All in all, 12+ hours out in the blazing sun in 90 degree weather was well worth it. Would do again.
Sunday was my last full day there so we took it easy and went to the beach and a cute little grocery store that had all kinds of sodas. We went to the store before the beach and got our sodas. I got four different kinds, a green apple soda, a fufu berry Jones drink (we used to have them here but I haven't seen them anywhere in a long time so I jumped on the opportunity), Bawls, and an adorably-labeled Kitty Piddle drink that tasted like pineapple and lemon. The beach was so nice, white sand and blue water. Normally you wouldn't catch me even ankle-deep in ocean water, but my friend actually managed to get me far enough out to where waves would literally be half a foot over my head (granted I am a fairly short person). One particular wave had it out for me. It stole my earring lol. So I'm pirate-ing around for a while with only one in until I can buy another pair.
Monday was a short day, we hung around my friend's house for a little after she got out of class and then I had to drive back to the airport to go home. The plane ride in was nothing of note, but on the way back home, hoo boy. I got patted down and hand swiped at the security check because of my belt (dang chains lol). But I passed both things, no problem and promptly boarded the plane shortly after. Everything was great until about 45 minutes in when a lady a few rows ahead of me passed out and wasn't responding well to airline personnel. Luckily, I was seated next to two registered nurses who took care of her very well until we landed and she was escorted off the plane to the paramedics. I've been on four international flights and countless other in-state flights, and that's the first time anything like that has happened. A little unsettling at first, but very relieving when you land. I believe the lady is ok, I haven't heard or read anything about it in or on the news.
It's so nice to be back home though. I know my mom missed me, and I think my brother did too (even if he doesn't want to admit it, the turd). When I got back to the house, I was greeted by both my inside children and my outside children (by children, I mean cats). Though I think my outside babies missed me more because even Nubs, the scruffy little one-eyed kitty, came to say hello and rub against my leg. Halo is always on our porch, but she knew I had been gone and bumped her head against me a few times. Inside kids all came up and said "welcome back mom! Now feed us!" and then went on their way until bedtime when they all wanted to snuggle up to me. Silly things.
Now that I'm back, I have a little time to relax before I start a new job and work more on my personal art project. I can't wait to get back in the concert scene here in a few weeks!
TL;DR: I had a great trip and saw some amazing bands with my absolute best friend and went to the beach for the first time in three years. If I could, I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. It's so good to be home though.Today's the Day!
Posted 10 years agoI'll be leaving this evening to fly down to Florida for my mini vacation to see my friend! I'm a little nervous with flying since I haven't actually flown anywhere by myself in a few years, but I think I'll be ok.
Ohhhh I'm so excited! I know for sure that tomorrow we'll be attending EDBD all day. But for the other two days I'm there, I'm not sure what she has planned for me. We may go to the beach, and we might even go into town for a trip to the mall, I'm not sure.
If I have time, I'm going to try and squeeze in a visit to my aunt and uncle as well while I'm down there. And possibly my step-brother if he's not busy, he actually might be going to the concert too. Who knows!
I won't be on much at all until I get back, but I will check in maybe once a night to see what's up. During down time, I'm going to see if I can do some collabs with my friend seeing as how she also draws on occasions. I'll have my sketchbook with me, but she does have a tablet too and is just getting into digital art. I'm gonna teach her soooo many things!
Altight, I think I've talked enough lol. I'll see you all when I get back!Would any one be interested in...
Posted 10 years agoA night with Sin comic?
I've had this idea in my head for a while and a single, fully-rendered image didn't quite feel right. I'd like to show more details and actually put a little story behind it. It'll take me a while to get everything sketched out, but I'd like it to be a decent-length comic. A couple of pages long, maybe 4-5 at most. I haven't decided if it'll be color or black and white yet, though.
Thoughts? Opinions? Suggestions? I'm all ears! oh god that was a terrible pun, i'm so sorry...New Account!
Posted 10 years agoHey guys! I've finally set up my new account!
Sinnabelle
Sinnabelle
Sinnabelle
I'm going to be making the transition into using that more often, and keep this as a side account. If you've already watched me there, thank you so much!
What can you expect to find there?
~Priority commissions. If you're watching there, you'll know at least a day in advance before I post about commission openings here!
~More finished works. I've decided to use this account for less finished pieces and sketch dumps, kind of like a brainstorming account.
~A special raffle! Once I get all settled in and comfortable with the new account, I'll be holding a special raffle. What is it? You'll have to wait and see!
~A little more interaction from myself. I've always been fairly quiet on here, I'd like to push myself to be more social with this new start and hopefully make some amazing friends.
Thank you all for taking your time to rewatch me, your support really means the world to me!

All Commissions Finished + Answering Comments
Posted 10 years agoTook me a few more days than I anticipated, but they're all done and out of the way. (insert confetti poppers here) I'll also be taking this time to finally reply to any comments on submissions. So sorry if it seemed like I was ignoring anyone! I've just been trying to keep myself working.
For now, I think I'm going to focus more on my personal works for a little while and build up on my new account. I won't leave this one, I'm still deciding on what I want to use this one for. But if you're already watching that account, expect some reuploads of some pieces from this account sometime tomorrow.
If I offer anything commission-wise during this little break, it won't be anything more than a sketch. I've come to hate lining things and find more fun in just sketching. Plus, this new pen isn't as worn as my old one so the pressure on it is kind of hard to get used to when I line things. It's just a learning curve I suppose.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful day/night! I'll keep you all posted if/when I open again.New Pen is Here!
Posted 10 years ago@0@ My new tablet pen is here! Which means current commissions are no longer on hold! All of them should be finished in the next day or two.
I'm so happy to have such a speedy postal service.RIP Tablet Pen ;-; (Commissions temporarily on hold)
Posted 10 years agoMy pen finally kicked the bucket. Right at the very end of commissions too. Literally all I had left to do was add in little details and I would be finished. Then the eraser end decided to pop off for no reason. So I pushed it back on and it seemed fine. But then I tried to move the canvas with one of the buttons, and the button wouldn't click. Then the eraser half came off again. I pushed it back on, but it got stuck, so I tried to reposition it and it wouldn't come off. Ended up pulling too hard and messed up the internal wiring so bad, I can't fix it. I'm pretty sure a tiny piece flew off into the abyss too when it popped apart.
Looks like I'll have to order a new one.
RIP pen, you were good to me for so many years. But now you must be replaced. ;-;
If my commissioners would like (those under the queue on my page), I can add in a free sketch after I finish your main piece since I've been so quiet and slow. I feel so bad for making you guys wait so much. I'd be happy to offer a traditional piece if you'd like something more immediate instead of having to wait. These would be wing-its/artist freedom.
My new pen will be here at the very most in two weeks. Again, I apologize for this huge setback.@c@ So Much Snow..
Posted 10 years agoWhere exactly have I been?!
Well, I'll tell you where I've been. I've been buried under a mountain of snow and taking care of a stray cat!
But the snow is all finally starting to melt and that means I don't have to care for the extra kitty in the house for much longer, and I can start working again! I did a little warm up tonight to get back into the swing of things and I may have gotten a little carried away with it.. Whoopsie. I'll upload it later today after I wake up, I might make some adjustments to it.
This leads me to my next big thing, and that is: I've finally made a new account here that I will slowly be moving to after I get my last two commissions finished and out of the way. If you'd like to go ahead and watch it, you may do so right here! There's absolutely nothing on it right now, but I plan to have that fixed up within the week.
I'll be making an official announcement about it later on. That will become my main gallery where I upload all of my works. I don't know how I want to re-purpose this account yet, but I will think of something.
In the mean time, how has everyone been? Staying safe and warm I hope if you're in the eastern part of the US like I am.Happy Valentine's Day (CLOSED)
Posted 11 years agoHappy Valentine's Day everyone!
I hope all of you got to spend time with your loved ones. And if you didn't have someone to spend it with, take the time to relax and love yourself!
I personally don't have anyone special to spend the day/evening with *is a hopeless romantic at heart* so I'm going to be offering some free Valentine-themed sketches for a couple of people.
All you need to do is pick a number between 1 and 50! I'll note the winners when this closes (11pm EST).
No one guessed correctly! The numbers were 10 and 24.Ask me anything!

Ask me something! Doesn't matter what, I'll answer it.Sick and Two YCHs for Tomorrow
Posted 11 years agoYeeep, I'm sick. Scratchy throat and congestion. Iiiii hate this. All because of those darn pizza bites. On top of this, I messed my hip up at work while trying to clean the inflatables on Sunday and it's still hurting.
I've got two Valentine's themed YCHs that will go up tomorrow and run until the 7th. One is a clean, monochrome couples image, and the other is a nsfw, full detail solo female image. Both will have auto-buy options and are open to any species within my "will draw" section of my commission info.I'm about to fight someone.
Posted 11 years agoSpecifically this bag of pizza bites.
I ate some earlier today and now I feel like I'm getting sick. This is about the third time they have done this to me. Each time has been months apart and a new bag, so it's not because they're old.
Tostino's. Why you do dis?
Looks like I'm not eating those anymore. Not unless they're homemade instead of store bought.Valentines Day YCH?
Posted 11 years agoIf I did one, what would you guys like to see?
Pinups?
Couples?
Clean or NSFW?
A night with one of my characters?
I have a vague idea for one, but I'm open to suggestions!Streaming! 18+
Posted 11 years agoI'll be doing a little commission work tonight and maybe some personal stuff just to warm up.
Music is on.

Posted 11 years agoDoes anyone know if there's a way to change your username? I know there really isn't a function on here that can do that yet, but I think I've heard something about asking a mod to do it for you. Anyone know if that's true or not?
Kareen is a name that's very near and dear to me, it belongs to one of my very first characters. However, I feel that I have grown past that stage in my life and would like to make a change. I could just make a new account with a new name, but doing that just wouldn't feel right to me. The name I have in mind isn't taken yet (thank goodness!) so if I absolutely have to I can just make a new one under that name.Out of Town Tomorrow (1/17)
Posted 11 years agoJust a heads up that I will be out of town tomorrow. I'll be attending a concert with two of my favorite bands a couple of hours away and won't be on the computer much before I leave. I'll be back the next day though! And I just might stream a little.. c:Anyone got a male character? [CLOSED]
Posted 11 years agoOr a character I can gender-bend to be male? Preferably a dragon or scalie, but any species is fine.
I'm looking to use them in a warmup sketch with Sin before commission work tonight, so you have to be ok with a silly out-of-character pairing. I guess that's really the only rule. This is going to be a one time deal, Sin is a very personal character and I'm very picky with her. If it happens again, it probably won't be for a very long time.
So post away guys! No limit on how many characters you can post either. I'll pick which one I like best when I get out of the shower.

Hello hello!
Posted 11 years agoI hope everyone had a good holiday and a happy new year!
If you celebrated Christmas, what was your favorite gift? I didn't get a whole lot this year (all my gifts were really good though!), but by far, my favorite gift was a box of homemade no-bake cookies from my grandma. Love those things~
I had to step away from the computer for a little due to family visiting from out of state, but I'm back! Commission work will resume asap! I'm nearly finished with one, chiseling away at another, and happy to be working again.
Happy (kinda late) 2015!Late Night Immaturity
Posted 11 years agoBecause I can't stop laughing at this since I found it. And because it's almost 4am and I'm still awake.
We sing this at work all the time.
Thank You
Posted 11 years agoI really just wanted to say thank you to everyone that left a comment or noted me in regards to my previous journal. Every word you guys left me really warmed my heart.
I'm a simple person. What effort and emotions you put into me, I take and radiate a hundred times over.
Even though you guys are all just through the internet and I'll probably not get the opportunity to see any of you in person, I really do appreciate all the kind words, from the bottom of my heart. I'd personally scoop you all up and give you the biggest hug I could manage if I could.
So thank you again. For real, I love all of you.
