So i am finally starting to feel better. *knocks on wood* I have been sick for nearly 4 weeks. First i had a pretty bad cold, then i went to Rustycon and came home with the crud. It sucked soo much. The last week i had frequent fevers that lasted only a few hours. I have been SUPER sleepy and for the first day in awhile, i dont need to camp by the toilet. I dont enjoy being sick. and it bothered me quite a bit that i couldn't work on anything. it was torture. my hands like being busy and i couldn't even handle twiddling my thumbs!

So yea, i hope in the coming month i can get back into the swing of things. i have lots to do and i am looking forward to working again. Just need to set boundaries and take it easy.

I have spent most of my hiatus injured, sick and slaving away at last minute Christmas gifts for friends. (that lst part is on me thouh it didn't help)

I even spent part of Christmas Eve in the ER due to getting hives. Which is partly my fault, the only thing I ate and pigged out on was medium rare red meat that day and I got a little too much iron and nickel in my body. (I'm allergic to nickel and sensitive to iron). I was thankfully just monitored and had an IV for about an hour.

Due to the hives, my immune system was not up to par and I got a mean little cold. Almost recovered from it now though.

And the injury, that would be my back. Some meds caused me to gain some weight rapidly and it threw out my back. I could barely get up, let alone walk. So my meds were changed again and put on bed rest. I am doing better. The new meds helped me loose some weight and I'm able to get up and walk again without too much of an issue. YAY FOR WALKING!!

Onto an update. I will remain on hiatus til about the end of January. I'm giving myself recovery and preparation time. I'll be getting ready for a convention called Rustycon. (Sci-Fi) in January.

I have been asked to be a panelist!!! The panel is about lifestyle as a furry. AND I will get my own workshop to show others how to make wars and tails for their cosplays and/or fursonas!!
I'm so excited!! OH I was asked to be in the masquerade with friends as a Pokemon Trainer! AND the con asked if I'd come come back a do face painting again. Last year that sucked and I kept painting things on 3 kids and I only earned $15.

So yeah I have quite a bit to look forward to and lots to doing preparation. I will point out that this con is priority (but I'll work on current commissions when I can). This con is a chance for me to make a name for myself and show what I can do. It would be awesome to grow my business. Not just have only furs as customers but cosplayers too.

I hope you guys understand and not hate me for this choice. All last year I struggled to sell stuff. I lowered my prices and it still wasn't enough. I finally realized, it's not my work, it's me, my name and my business. Not many know who carmasuitsu is. I'm looking forward to branching out.

So here we are again. XMas is 8 days away. I dont like doing this because i always feel guilty cause there isn't much i can do/give in return for anything recieved from you guys. But thats my guilt.

I found out a little while ago that a good fur friend and once lead organizer for our local furlife meetup group, Micheal J. Fox, has passed away. I am devastated. It wasn't that long ago that i hung out with him at an event. He even looked well, so im at a loss as to what happened. No one has said what the C.O.D is.
When i first joined the fandom 5 years ago, he helped me create my first suit and he had crazy fun parties. We even had deep conversations about life, goals, fears, childhood memories. Some of the best events i went to were when he was there. Im really gonna miss him. He was young. Around mid 30s i think?
But our meetup group has created an event, a vigil for him next Saturday, which i hope to make it to. So that i can say goodbye and mourn.
Fucking damn it 2016. You've taken so many, just stop. This is the 4th fur that i know of to leave us in the last few months.

[TRIGGER WARNNG-Dental work and descriptive memories]


Oh im soo miserable. Got a molar extracted and the recovery is brutal.

Some of you may remember when i went to Cali in May to be with a friend when she had her baby. And during the birthing i had to hold her leg and push on her belly and whilst doing that, she unintentionally knee'd me in the face; cracking the backside of a molar.

So since then, the tooth decayed and got super sensitive and painful. There was nothing i could do to take care of it and my insurance couldn't cover dental work unless it was bad and needed to be addressed.
So Now that it's out, i should be ok, but freaking damn it i dont feel well.
Head is pounding, mouth is throbbing, my right cheek is swollen and its still kinda bleeding.

And i have so much to work on and i can't even focus on anything my head is hurting so much.

So yeah,that was my Monday! *whimpers*

I need to get a new heating pad for my back. With the recent flare up of back pain and spasms, my current heating pad went kaput, dead, not getting warm anymore. And i need one that works, oh this sucks so much.
So please help me get a new one by commissioning art. I'll accept anything, whether it be a doodle or an elaborate piece.

I just came back from the ER. Another pulled muscle in my back. Don't ask me how, but i woke up a week ago with my back hurting and since it still hurts enough to make me cry so i decided to forgo my stubbornness and go to the Hospital.

So there's lots of news about some really bad weather headed toward Washington and this comes from remnant typhoon Songda. They say power will most likely go out due to high (hurricane like) winds and they're saying some flooding is likely to happen due to a lot of rain.
They say 3 storms will be hitting us this weekend starting tonight, but the big concern is the typhoon.
Im only a dozen miles inland from the straight of Juan da Fucua

I have flash lights and non perishable food and plenty of water in case the power goes out which is pretty damn likely whether i want it to or not.

This sucks cause i have commissions to work on and when the power does go out, sure i can sew by flashlight but i wont be able to use my hot glue gun or sewing machine or clippers or anything electronic i need to work.

And if the power is out longer than 24hrs, my fish will be in danger.

So im hoping the storms aren't bad enough that i lose power. But if i do then there wont be any streaming til the weather gets calm and i'll be bored out of my mind.

Made it back safe, got home last night from Megaplex. It was a pretty fun con. I would rate it 9/10.

Getting to Orlando Florida was not easy. My first flight was late 45 minutes, the 2nd flight i missed and had to wait over an hour for the next plane, then that plane was detoured to Tampa for another hour.
I was supposed to get to the hotel before or around noon, i didn't get there til after 6pm.

The hotel was beautiful, was a great choice for the con to happen there. The layout of the con was convenient, all the events were close knit which was nice. Got free breakfast all the days i was there, free alcohol from 5-7 all the nights i was there and their food in the restaurant was pretty tummy.

Bummed i didn't make it into the Dance Comp or the Floor Wars. I really wanted to dance after all this time of recovering from injuries. I was on the list for both as a stand by, bit no such luck. Stella is due for a comeback eventually.

I at least got to take part in the fursuit parade, got to show off a Disney shirt for the charity auction and even though the live Funday Pawpet Show was canceled they still did fursuit subservient's and i got to do that. I hope i can find a video of that soon, cause you all gonna laugh at the part wee had to be magicarp.

I watched the dance comp, the floor wars and the fursuit games and rhubarb/cosmic ruin everything. lol

I danced a little bit at the raves. Sad that Uncle Cage never showed up, didn't see Buddy either. However i made some new friends and saw old ones i meet 2 years ago. So that was great!

I managed to buy a few small things at the con. Got this years shirt, a shot glass with the con logo, a Team Mystic badge, a blue light up collar and blue see through claw necklace and a con badge with Stella's traits and stuff.

I think the worst thing to happen was the moment i was leaving for the airport, a fur fell from the 4th floor. I was just outside the front doors from the lobby and i saw a shadow fall down the wall, i had no idea it was a person til i was told and as much as i wanted to go help i had to get in the car and go before the ambulance and police showed up. I got word that the guy left the hotel alive, but im not sure how alive or if they made it or not. i sure hope they did.

So i got to the airport, went through TSA with no problems and when i get on the plane, the front inside part of the window was in my seat, i turned to the airline staff and i said, "There's a window in my seat, this safe?". The guy just grabbed it and said maintenance would be on shortly to pop it back in place. I almost wanted to walk off the plane.

Now i am home and i think its safe for me to say i didn't get con crud but I am dealing with severe gravitational oedema. Never had this happen before. My feet feel like fiery clubs and walking is annoying. I've been drinking water and cranberry juice with lemon and icing/elevating my feet too. I want this uncomfortable swelling to go away.

Yesterday was my Birthday, Im 27 now. WOOT!

After some more needed rest, current commissions will resume and commissions in general will be open.
