I know I've been MIA for a while. My current job is rather exhausting so my drive to draw has been pretty low.
It will probably just be "coloring pages" infrequently for the next little while.

Playing around with this, seems neat so far.
I'm gonna do mostly an animal husbandry career, but am exploring now because I had no money, lol.
Right now my only beef is that you have to pay the premium currency to upload a custom avatar/character.
But apparently you can earn it in the game so I hope to eventually do it.

Funny Thing Happened
General | Posted 9 years agoMy mom works in health care with babies, children and youth so sometimes she brings home things like brochures if she thinks we might be interested in them.
This time she brought home an educational poster all about the difference between gender, sexuality, expression, and biological sex.
She is trying to explain it to me. And I have to be like, "Oh how interesting! I never knew that."
Because how do you say to your mom that actually you already know all that stuff because of how much porn you read/look at?

My Heart is Broken
General | Posted 9 years agoMy little four-footed baby, companion for the last seven years, and owner of a good portion of my heart, left us today.
He had been sick last month with bronchitis, but was almost fully recovered. But he was old, and tired.
I guess he just couldn't hang on any longer. I was lucky to wake up in the middle of the night to check on him, and hold him as he was passing.
I hope he heard our words, and knew that he was loved. He was the epitome of a Good Boy.
We will be having him cremated, and his ashes will be spread on his favorite walk.
We will, of course, sprinkle a little every ten steps at each suitable bunch of grass or tree. Then we'll continue to pretend for a few times more, even though it will be empty.
(I'm sure he thought we were fooled by this charade when he pulled it)
If anyone is interested in contributing to the cremation costs, you can PM me, but what I really want is for everyone to hug your pets. Love them so much it hurts. Make them so happy that, when they eventually do leave this world, they will be able to brag about it wherever they go next.

This is the second year I will be fundraising for this event, and I've decided to start early.
My goal is to raise $150 by April 24th, and then I will run 10+ kilometers in support of cancer research.
Cancer has touched my life many times and, you probably already know, its touch is not gentle. It is cold, and rough, and it stings, even years later. This disease reaches into people's lives and grabs at whatever it can take.
From my grandfather, who smoked for only a few years when he was young, it took away half his jaw.
From my mother-in-law it took away one of her breasts, but also chipped away at her confidence. Always a hugger, now she hesitates for fear that someone will notice her asymmetry.
From my husband's grandma it took her life, far too quickly and painfully.
From me? Nothing yet, except my assurance that all those I love will be there for years to come. I cross my fingers that that's all it will ever take.
How will I raise this money?
I will accept any donations you are willing to give, but I know that getting something back is much better.
All my commission profits between now and then will go towards my total, and I will be promoting on several sites.
I will also be offering new types of commissions, such as writing, editing services, icon packages, and voice.

Written - $0.05/word

Relay For Life - Let's End Cancer!

Now that I am finally done my practicum I can be more active around here. (For those interested, I passed with flying colors!)
In that light, I have joined a team for The Canadian Cancer Society's Relay for Life next month. I will collect pledges and then run/walk with my team for twelve hours straight on June 6th. My fundraising goal is only $100!
I am running because two very important people in my life have fought and beaten cancer. My Opa and mother-in-law would not be here today if it weren't for amazing people each year who give to support research in this field.

You don't even have paper, but must sculpt out of leaves and mud? Well.... MAYBE!
