I want to let you know that I’m going to visit my grandma for two weeks because she really wants to feed me strawberries and make me weed her garden. It will be kind of like a short vacation for me. After that, I’ll be back and continue working.

Very sad news

I wanted to share some sad news — two of the former stray cats I had been caring for have passed away.
On March 24th, Barsik passed away. I rescued him in early January, but unfortunately, he had chronic kidney disease, which progressed to its final stage.
On April 5th, my very first rescue, Spratty, also passed. He was a wonderful boy. I had been taking care of his health for a year and was actively looking for a loving home for him. Sadly, he needed a complicated surgery, and he didn’t make it through the post-operative period.
Right now, I’m still in shock from everything that’s happened. Spratty’s death hit me especially hard. I’m not stopping my rescue work, but I may need to slow down for a bit, and I might not be able to respond to messages right away.
Thank you so much for your understanding. I hope I’ll be back to myself soon.

I need to raise money for the treatment of a stray cat. I have been helping him for two months now, and now I am facing difficulties. He is at the finish line in his treatment. Posted a year agoToday I went with Pluto to the penultimate session of shock wave therapy (well, this time he had laser therapy, but not so important). The total cost for all sessions was $240, not counting two appointments with the attending physician and two x-rays.
He has arthritis, and he was prescribed two injections of Solencia, but I don’t know yet when (or if) I can buy it, because 1 bottle costs $93. I think I'll wait a month until I have the opportunity to spend that kind of money.
In another week, I will need to take Paket for re-vaccination and a check-up of his kidneys (at the same time I will get an alternative opinion from a veterinarian about his chronic renal failure).
And Belka will also need to be taken for additional tests to check how things are going with her chronic renal failure (maybe she doesn’t have it)

Posted a year agoSorry for delaying the comms, I now have three cats sick at the same time and at the same time I have to earn a lot of money to treat them all, and draw, and monitor their health, and I literally cannot cope with what is happening around me

mojaloo found her cat in a serious condition. It was probably a car accident. They went to a 24-hour clinic, where they misdiagnosed his condition. Today, in the clinic where she always treat her animals, he was found to have internal bleeding and was urgently operated on. mojaloo gave about $ 300 this day, and she think she will need the same amount in the next couple of days.
