General | Posted 6 years agoHey fuzzies! Been a while since I spoke to you all! Just to let you know I've got some major plans for this year!
Firstly, a belated happy new year! Would have said sooner but have been rather busy!
As for the update, this year I plan to go as full-time as I can with my art and fursuit business, Neon-Paw Creations! Things are already getting underway, with finishing both an art piece AND a small suit part commission just within the last week, so I'm hopeful that NPC will take off properly!
To go with the update, I have some pre-made fursuit species I want to have a go at, but can't decide what order to do them in. If you have a minute and want to chip in with what you think I should do first, check out my poll on Twitter, it's got a day left! Currently "highland cow" is winning the poll!
Along with that, I'm aiming to try and be more active on my social media, including my Twitter, so feel free to give me a follow on there if you don't already; I'll try follow as many people back as I can!

Laptop and Misc. Update #2

My laptop has returned and is repaired! Which is brilliant! The downside is that I haven't got the software which I use for commissions on it anymore! Fortunately I'm visiting home this weekend so can pick up the install discs then. All going well I should be back up and working on commissions again by Tuesday/Wednesday next week!
In the meantime I've got Uni work to do and I have got a version of Photoshop on which I can do sketches and things so I may be able to work on the adopt ref sheets or character designs. Over the weekend I'll just be bringing my sketchbooks and some paper home with me for drawing. Might do some free sketches and stuff but we'll see!
Once I'm done with commissions I currently owe I'm thinking of doing something a bit different for a bit. I want to focus on personal and experimental stuff, working out new things I can do for commissions! For example I'm thinking of making 3D models of characters! I need to have some practice first so might either model my own or do some free ones to start, but that's an idea!
On a different and somewhat negative note I'm struggling really badly with mental issues currently. There's too much to list but I'm planning to make an appointment and actually get things sorted next week. It's been going on for a long long time and gradually getting worse. I may or may not update with what happens, depending on what I feel is relevant to share.
Apologies for the long winded journal, I'll catch up later! x

IMPORTANT NOTICE - PLEASE READ!!! (For those I owe art!)
General | Posted 9 years agoHey guys! Just need to let you know that I'm unable to use my laptop till I can get it repaired. I have the money to do so, so it should be done by next week, but since Monday I've been getting countless BSODs; the main harddrive needs to be updated before it fries. All art files are safely stored on my external harddrive so no worries there. It's just a matter of waiting until it has been fixed. Apologies for the wait and thank you for your patience! I'll update again once I can continue!

Edit: Ordered harddrive and so it could take up to two weeks for it to arrive and my laptop to get fixed. Otherwise all is going well!
Edit #2 (09/02/17): Harddrive arrived today and I've dropped it with my laptop off at the place to be fixed. Should be sorted by mid next week, all hoping my painting programme can be transferred across! If not it might be a couple days longer, but we're nearing success! Fingers,feathers, talons, toes, hooves (If it's possible) and more crossed! Let's hope we can continue with commissions soon!Update and Info (For Commissioners)

Just wanted to let you know what is going on and explain my plans concerning commissions; if you have or are wanting to commission me, this info might be good to know!
Firstly I've been enjoying Uni a lot! I'm taking a course in Games Art, which is very much me! It's constant drawing and creating which is very good! Emotionally/mentally I've been... Unstable I guess is the right word. Winter has had an effect on me but I've also just been getting depressed and/or short tempered much more and more frequently. It may be partially stress from house hunting for next year, though I don't want to pinpoint. I plan on seeing someone about it but the annoying thing is I HATE phone calls. My issues will be another journal if I feel I need to discuss though.
In terms of commissions, I apologise for taking so long on them again. Mainly due to coursework hand-ins I've been pushing it aside alot, despite the fact that I've been meaning to finish things. I have however, the following plans:
♦ I shall finish off all the commissions I owe people. This may take up to a month or two but I'm aiming to get these done before working on anything else.
♦ Once these are completed, I shall open commissions again, but with a decreased number of slots; I shall be cutting it down to two or three instead of five. With a limit of one per person per "batch". I will continue with the rule of not opening again until all three slots are empty.
♦ For commissions I shall be focusing on my more painty and sketchy styles EXAMPLE 1 - EXAMPLE 2 - EXAMPLE 3
I much prefer drawing in these styles. It is MUCH more relaxing and calming; lineart gets very tedious to do, especially when all my pieces require it. It also gives me the freedom to experiment a bit more and push myself to improve.
♦ I am not going to STOP my current art style. My price sheet will be updated to my painty style, however I will still continue the old one - you will just need to ask specifically for it when commissioning. (xoda I am assuming you'll continue to want your pieces in the lineart style, so I shall continue with that for you unless told otherwise.
♦ I am going to HOPEFULLY create more adoptables and YCHs. These will allow me to draw more of what I want if I feel like I want to.
♦ Finally, weekends will be my dedicated time for working on commissions. During the week I want to make sure I focus on my course work. If I have free time during the week I'd like to have some time to play games as I've not been able to properly for months. While commissions are relaxing somewhat, they are still "work" for me, so I want to balance out work vs relaxing each day more evenly. This may mean commissions can take up to three weeks to be completed, but hopefully that will mean that once I start one a piece it will be completed within a couple days. I MIGHT occasionally work on them during the week but that will be entirely up to how I feel at the time.
That should be it. I will edit this if I realise I've missed something out! Thank you for your patience if you have commissioned me. I very much appreciate it, and I realise I'm terrible with my time management; I've started trying to fix how I eat, so next step will be general organisation!

It was made for me by a friend using cheaper fur and was one their very first creations; I’ve been meaning to fix it up however, as I’m drawing close to Uni I don’t have the time or money to do so. Edits I HAVE made included arm sleeves and new hand paws using the fur from the bodysuit; re-stuffed and patched up the tail. Preferably I’m looking for a fursuit maker who might want to fix up the partial, either to keep or sell on however offers I might accept aren’t limited to this.

Dear Commissioners: Kay's Lil' Letter
General | Posted 9 years agoI just want to let you know that you are allowed to re-upload art you commission from me. In fact I encourage it. I'm saying this 'cause it has come to my attention that often people don't upload art they buy from me, however will happily upload art from others. It kinda makes me feel a lil' unappreciated y'know? Please understand that if you paid for it, and/or includes your character(s), it is your property. Once it's done, the only thing I own really is the rights to the fact that I drew it. You are entitled to to whatever the hell you want with it. Also, re-uploading art you've bought from me doesn't just make me feel more noticed, it makes others notice my stuff, and possibly pull in some more future commissioners... I don't actually get that many, and usually when I do they are somewhat close friends of mine or people who have already commissioned before. There are times where I will really want commissions but I struggle to get them. So, please, you don't need to ask me, if you've commissioned something from me, feel free to post that piece wherever you wish, it makes me happy. It makes me feel like people do actually like my art!
Sorry if this seems too rant like, it just kinda upsets me that people will upload stuff from others but not me... Is my art bad? If so, why did you commission me?! Please T^T
