Still alive over here, but definitely not paying much attention to FA these days. I've just gotten a job in the field I went to school for though, one that'll more than pay me comfortably. Which means commissions aren't really much of a concern for me anymore.

This means I'll be able to go back to passion projects and things I personally enjoy. So I may find the drive to start writing again since I can be writing what I want to write.

I've considered abandoning the account, honestly, as my work on DA has been taking most of my time. Call me vain, but I've received over 4x the pageviews in 1/5th the time, so I've been feeling more engagement to produce over there.

I still poke my head in here occasionally, however, and have been wanting to babystep my way into creating written work again. No promises, but to anyone wondering where I've been, I figured you deserved an answer!

I normally try to avoid these unsolicited updates on where I'm at, but I feel you guys deserve one!

I've been a little jaded about my writing efforts lately, and its been really draining my creativity in that regard. I'm in a rut with it, I think. The stories are starting to blur together for me, and the level of interaction I used to have with my reading base has dried up. In short, I'm not having any fun with it anymore. I still owe a few people some stories, and I'll deliver them, but I'm going to be changing up my model going forward I think.

I want to get back to writing my own stories, so commissions will likely become a YCH-style buffet rather than an a-la-carte fully customized deal. I know this sucks for those people who have very specific kinks and interests, and I'm not discounting the idea that I'll still take them occasionally, but honestly, writing other people's fantasies has turned this into a chore for me. If I can't get off to the story, it isn't any fun for me to write, ya know?

GENERAL IDEA

A group of young beach goers are off enjoying a sunny summer afternoon. The breeze is warm, the water cool, and the beach bods rockin'. Got a commission coming up where the commissioner has given me permission to fill vacant slots with YCH auctions. So, being the greedy capitalist that I am, I decided to do just that!

The story is a good one, I think. I'm looking to fill -2- slots for victims of a pair of rough and tumble gladiators. General idea will be your character will be the "cannon fodder" meant to show off the 2 protagonists in matches prior to their meeting. Namely, you're the poor schmuck that gets put up against the champ in the semi-finals, before he moves on to meet the REAL challenge in the Finals.

Here's the catch; death won't be by sword, but by cock vore! That's right, the winners of this auction will get to meet their end in the arena by being absorbed by the cock of a champion! So as I mentioned a few weeks ago, I'd left my job to pursue more writing time. At the time I'd left myself available to my boss if they needed coverage if someone else was sick.

My boss apparently took that to mean "I'm going to call you in 3 times a week, even though you'd just finished telling me about how little you want to keep doing this job!" I still work there in a different section of the building, and still answer to the same manager, so I couldn't be a shit about it; that's just bad business. But to keep things short, it also meant I wasn't getting the free time I'd specifically left that job to free up, to write.

I've since managed to make it clear to my boss that I'm not THAT available all the time. And they've acknowledged that, and have stopped using me as their go-to. So I'm back to having the free time to dedicate to writing, without the job stress that kills my creativity.

I've already begun work on the next story, and I apologize for the delay, and thank you for the patience. Back on track! <3

So I don't normally use my journals to wander into the going-ons within the Snuff community around FA. I hear things, I see things, I don't feel the need to comment on 99% of it.

I didn't know Felix closely, but I'd commissioned him a few times, and have followed his work for years. To say it had no influence on my own writing habits would be an outright lie. It's hard to be a part of this community and not know who Felixpath is, or have seen his art. We'd spoke personally a few times, and he seemed like a nice guy. Beyond being a loss for the community, this is a loss for those he loved, and those who loved him.

I feel like this is the kind of thing that's going to lead to rumours, and questions. These kinds of things typically leave plenty of both in their wake. This news is only about 40 minutes old as of the writing of this journal, so let's try to keep the inevitable drama respectful to those grieving.

Love him or hate him, he was a pillar of our little corner of the FA community, and that should be respected in the coming hours and days.

I've made some life decisions that I think are in my own best interest, and one of them is to devote more time to my writing. I've cut my gruelingly long days at work in half, and will be using that newfound free-time towards working on my writing on a more semi-professional basis. This means more commission-based & YCH work.

Output is gonna increase greatly over the next week or two, and I'm looking forward to it, frankly. My job was one of the main things getting in the way of me writing, with 10 hour days that simply left me exhausted by the time I got home. This, naturally, affected my time and energy.

Okay. So, at the risk of TMI, I've been slogging through a rough patch with my desire to write. I'm torn between my determination to write what interests me, and stay true to the niche I've crafted here, and the desire to see some acknowledgement for the sheer number of hours I put into creating unique fap material for people, the bulk of which is free to the bulk of those reading.

It's easy to say "Well you should be enjoying the act of writing", but I think it's a common misconception that the act of writing is fun. Like visual art, the act of writing is difficult at times. It can be easy, or it can be a slog, and when it's a slog it can be difficult to get anything done. We're overly critical of our own work, and every little error glares out at you as you re-read it. It's hard work, and while at the end you feel that sense of accomplishment for having completed the work, the work itself is... well, work, and like any artist, sometimes I find myself questioning why I put in all that work.

That being said, to those that have supported me, in either word or action, thank you. Many of you have been here since I first started, and I truly appreciate all the favs, comments, skype conversations, and understanding during my randomly timed hiatuses. You guys are why I still put in the effort, and you know who you are.

If you even think you might be in that group, then please, assume you are and accept my thanks. Even if it was just a comment somewhere, or a fav, or you pointed my work out to a friend, THANK YOU.

The purpose of this journal isn't just to say thanks though. In an effort to remind myself how much I can enjoy putting together a sexy story, I'm gonna to try to put together a series of quick stories. 1 a day, over the long weekend. The feline hybrid wrapped his tail around Myst neck, letting it squeeze the other boy's throat ever so delicately as the feline licked along his prey's belly. Dipping his tongue briefly into the foxcoon's bellybutton, the tiger's muzzle quickly found his victim's hard, warm cock, only to be pushed off and diverted by the foxcoon's readied paws.

Okay, so, I'm starting to see some flaws in this. Namely, the time it takes. 35 may be too high of a threshold, and in the future I'll probably lower it to 30. I've also been getting absolutely boned on the rolls. Damage has been largely low just because of bad rolls.

This is something I'll likely work on, to help these roll along a little faster. But I also feel this is a vindication of the inclusion of the self-pleasure rolls each round... if it weren't for those, we'd have a number of players still in single digits. They're doing exactly what they're supposed to be doing and keeping things moving along. As it is, this is already going to take a little longer than I'd anticipated, but hey, it's a trial run! Now I can see the flaws that I need to fix. :)
