Life Update, a story, and Anthrocon!
Posted 8 years agoHey yall. Life update of some sorts here.
I checked my work schedule a few days ago for the next month and a half (we schedule 6 to 8 weeks in advance) and I noticed that 4 days in which I had requested off I was scheduled. Those requests off were actually approved too. My schedule literally had me as "OFF" and scheduled for my normal 7am-7pm shifts on the same days. Needless to say, I brought this to the director and she was astonished that this happened. We recently switched to a new scheduling software that is super non-user friendly.
Funny side story before moving on: The week after we switched scheduling software, a bunch of nurses had their schedules messed up. One of our nurses was scheduled but never showed up. She wasn't answering her phone either. We ended up just texting her and she replied shortly after saying that she was in the Philippines and was supposed to be off that day. Yeaaaaa I don't think she was going to come in!
Anyway, to make a long story short, my schedule got fixed and I now have the whole weekend off to attend Anthrocon 2017!!! The only problem: I don't have a room... until this next story. I went to a
marylandfurs furry skate event with a friend. In the middle of the event, he brought up Anthrocon and asked if I had a room. Funny he asked because I didn't. He had a spot open that him and some others were trying to fill and I now have a room for AC!
Anyone else going to AC and wanna hang out? This is my time to meet tons of people that I've only been able to talk to online :D

2 Years in the Fandom! A look back~
Posted 8 years agoI can hardly believe it. I "officially" joined this fandom 2 years ago today! I came across some furry art on le internetz and the gas attack at MFF had just happened. I decided to do a bit of research on what a furry is and found this comic: http://i.imgur.com/DNEOtLB.jpg
That comic started it all. It led me to "FA" and it led me to meeting all of you. I made a FAF account on Dec 15, 2014 and I think the first person I messaged was
Zetta had just started up a TeamSpeak server and I thought "What the hell. Let's meet some new people." With great reluctance of letting a new guy in, Zetta gave me the TS password. I met a bunch of you guys there.
I attended my first convention a few months later in May 2015. Fur The 'More 2015 was a blast and still my favorite con to date.
Look at me now! Red panda. Gay or bi or pan or demi or wtf even am I? Cute. Adorable. And I'm sending in a fursuit quote tomorrow.

Heading to Bronycon : August 9, 2015
Posted 10 years agoMy IRL friend and I made a last minute decision to go to Bronycon for the final day of the con. I spent 2-ish years as a brony a few years back and I watched MLP all the way up until the Season 3 finale. I fell behind once I started nursing school at the start of 2014 and I never got caught back up.
But I hear many fuzzbutts attend and fun times are to be had! This will be interesting =)

Thoughts on FurTheMore 2015
Posted 10 years agoMy thoughts on FurTheMore? That convention was AWESOME. There were 853 attendees which is up from 714 last year. The hotel, Sheraton Tyson's Corner, was super accommodating and they were excited to have us. The local restaurants like Noodles and Co + Smashburger loved having furries there. Everyone at the con was real tight. 10/10 would go again.
If you are able to make it to Tyson's Corner, VA next year you absolutely need to go <3

Anyway, I am headed to

and it's gonna be super dank.
To my Teamspeak friends, I will be bringing my laptop with me and I may or may not be on the ts depending on how busy we are. If not, well, cyall Sunday or Monday depending on when we decide to come back home.

I also discovered that one of my irl female brony/pegasister friends says she loves commissioning for furries so you may be seeing some art pop up in the next few weeks from her. I'll get her permission first before I go linking her stuff all over furry land.

Starting Sunday, May 17, I will be on a cruise to the Caribbean until May 24. That means no internet for a week and I will be totally secluded from everything on this planet except for the boat with thousands of other people. (Yes, the cruise will be dank. Yes, I will be drinking margaritas).
Over the summer, I will be aiming to make 2-3 more song parodies in addition to the few I have already which I post here: https://soundcloud.com/kazolas
Two of the parodies I've done are in reference to my job at a restaurant. I hope to make a parody about memes and maybe another about furries. We'll see how that goes.
On May 29, I am heading to with and for the weekend. I just have to get through the cruise and then I'm there.
So I believe that wraps me up for this journal. I might start doing this every couple of weeks for the heck of it =)
