We just got back from FWA! It was amazing and fun as always ^^ I'm too tired to make a long journal about how awesome it was so I'm gonna go plop and take a fox nap instead ^^

I am getting my fursuit back from my maker since she had to re-size it and I am really happy to have it back. It's just gonna be a blast and I have to right a journal because I am excited and have been blasting music and dancing in my dorm and writing really long and incomplete sentences without any correct punctuation! Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Yep the fox is here to spread the love, and in all the good ways too. (I know it's hard, but stop thinkin naughty ya perv. <3) Today is the day for peeps to love one another! Whether it's spending a romantic day/slash evening with a loved one or sharing it with the ones you love, do the world a favor and just express that little bit of love for life that you have.

And to those who say they don't have anyone to share this day with, it doesn't mean you cant spread your love to the world! It can be done in small and simple things! Go find some friends and let them know how awesome they are! Let them know how lucky you are to have them in your life and that you value the relationships that you have made with them! Woke up this morning to go to class and it was 3 degrees outside...I have to walk all the way across campus to get to my first class...and then walk all the way back for my second class. *shivers uncontrollably* I hate you weather...

Alright so my classes have all proven to be pretty easy and shouldn't end up being too difficult at all unless I just let things pile up like crazy. I'm pretty sure that isn't going to happen so lately I have kinda been just sittin around twiddling my thumbs with nothing to do. So I decided to sign up for a workout dance class that seems pretty bitchin from the description. It's only on Wednesday nights though so I am also trying to get into that rapier/fencing group but it's so cold outside that they are waiting til spring to get things started. I joined the gay straight aliance on campus but they only meet on Wednesdays as well. So I have the rest of the week to kinda just derp around in my dorm hall, which after a while it kinda gets boring when no one wants to do anything. I wish there was a performance arts group that I could be a part of like back at Vandy. Meh...raquetball on thursdays sound good.

So after breaking my promise to go to bed at a reasonable time and going to bed at 2 am instead, I got up at 7:30 to begin my first day of classes at TTU! ....alright you got me, I hit the snooze button and got up at 7:40 but whatever =3 Getting out of bed was actually pretty hard. The bed in my awkward T-shaped dorm is lofted about 5 and a half feet off the ground. Ever try to get out of a lofted bed the WRONG way first thing in the morning? Its like falling completely off the top of Mt. Everest except that you have neighbors to hear you every time your nearly lifeless body hits a rock....or desk...anyways you get the picture.

7:45 ish - So after that I threw on a towel and grabbed my stuff to take a shower and when I got in, there was another guy in the stall next to me who started to whistle the lyrics to Safe and Sound by Capital Cities...so I joined in by shouting out the lyrics and at the risk of sounding weird, I totally made a shower buddy XD. He asked me if there were any dorm rules about walking back to dorm rooms with just a towel, and I was all like "pfft nah if it were my choice I would walk back naked." His only response was a insanely loud pitched laugh. He left before I got out so I still don't know who it was and I am half tempted to walk around the dorm whistling capital cities haha.

8:00 am - I am so happy that my dorm is right across the street from the dining hall. It was so freakin cold this morning that my window was covered in ice. I had a waffle for breakfast you guys! A waffle! Haha with freakin eggs! The last time I had a hot breakfast before going to class was back in elementary school! You can even put strawberries and stuff on them ^^ you guys don't understand. Screw getting chocolates for surprise gifts, you give me strawberries and we will be best friends forever!

8:30 am - Everyone could tell that I am a noob on campus cuz I had the map in my back pocket so I would know where to go for classes. Much to my dismay, my first class is aaaaall the way across campus, and according to the map, Rutherford Hall is on the left side of campus walking from my dorm. So I headed that direction and was confused when I didn't see. At this point my ears where frozen solid so I asked another student and he told me that the hall is on the right side and that the map is wrong. I would have cried but it was too cold and I did not want my tears to freeze on my face. I still got to my first class on time though.


9:00 am - I made a friend before Geology class! Her name Danielle and we bonded over how cold weather is for people who have no soul. Also Rutherford hall looks like a science museum and they hold astronomy and astrology films in the theater there! Geology class was pretty cool, the professor is a paleontologist and he sounded pretty cool when he got excited about fossils. I like having professors who love the subject they teach. OH! Also I got to be in a class that is held in a legit auditorium! There was like 110 people in the lecture hall! It was pretty neat but the little foldy tables kinda suck...good thing I'm right handed.

10:00 am - My wildlife principles/law/management/how to not get eaten by bears 101 class is held in the hall on...wait for it...the opposite side of campus from my first class...and wait for it some more...starts 10 minutes after my first one! So I had to book it across campus to get there in time and oh my god when I walked in the room...I barely made it on time and apparently I didn't get the memo to show up in camouflage for first day...I was the only one wearing a cool ass hoodie and skinny jeans. And the room is covered with taxidermied deer and holy shit a freakin water buffalo all over the walls. There was also some squirrels and raccoons as well. And a bunch of animal skulls that were neat to look at. I also could not understand my professor's southern accent...it is the thickest country accent I have ever heard...but other than that it seems like it is going to be an awesome class.

11:00 am - (YAY ANOTHER LECTURE HALL! so legit!) Botany class! It was pretty much plants and I got to show off how smart I am about biology because I was able to answer all the first day "let me see how much you know questions" I'm really happy I remembered all of my biology stuff.

12:10 lunch ^^ nuff said.

And now I am in my room waiting for my 3 o'clock class to start. So far it has been fun so I think I can get used to living on a campus instead of just driving to classes. I am now officially apart of the GSA on campus, I have a gym membership, and I am going to learn rapier fighting on the weekends. Yay things to do! All in all, I think I am going to make friends along the way so I won't be all alone anymore! ^^

I am now completely finished moving into my dorm room and let me tell ya, it is soooo small. But at least it is private. I have everything where it needs to be in order to maximize floor space and efficiency and all of my posters and other miscellaneous things are all set up and ready to go. The cool thing about my room is that if you tore through the protective screening, it would grant you access to the balcony/slash roof thingy since I am on the top floor. But since my hall is right across the street from the university center, if someone saw me on the roof then they would probably call campus police or something.

First day of classes start on thursday and I have no idea what to do until then, but I have a whole campus to myself that I get to terrorize under my tyrannical reign of well...tyranny. Everyone here is so nice though...so idk....damn it i have no friends yet hmmm guess i will have to make some.

The media is at it again you guys and to make matters worse, this time it is Dr. (*coughs* fake ass phd) Phil who is wanting an inside scoop on the furry fandom. I bet you anything that it is just another attempt to pull some shit to make us look bad again.

Look guys, I understand that there is a huge advantage to actually getting a down to earth fur to appear on a show and debunk all the furry rumors and misinformation and get people to see us as "normal" but there is something you guys have got to know. The media is not interested in normal. Normal does not make for a good story, nor does it make for good ratings. The plan is probably to twist your words and edit your phrases before they air the actual episode and make you seem like a sex crazed lunatic that is all for bestiality. (and yes it is spelled correctly so piss off)

In my personal opinion, it would be best if we just completely closed ourselves off from the media. If people want so badly to unlock the secrets of the fandom, then they should become a furry themselves and see first hand what it's all about. If they aren't willing to take a dive into the fandom, then they don't need to know shit. If they are pretending to be a fur just to spread even more misinformation, then chances are that the fandom will find out and send a hit squad or something.

All the media wants to do is screw with your words to make a good story and unfortunately, since the rumors are on the bad side, they are going to stay that way no matter how many times you try to appear on TV. So just stop, and don't let any outsiders in. Unless they are actually interested in becoming a furry themselves are professionally studying and conducting an unbiased analysis, then they don't HAVE to know anything.

Iunno just tell 'em to piss off or something. That's just what I think anyways. If there were an actual way to prove to the public that this fandom isn't going to turn all their children into sexually frustrated animal humans that constantly froth at the mouth every time they hear the word yiff, then I would be all for it. But until we actually get together and come up with that plan, we just need to avoid media exposure.

Yeah I am heading out of Nashville shortly after New Year's since I am transferring to TTU in Cookeville. It is only about an hour and 45 minutes out but still, I would rather not have to move into a dorm to live in a town that is completely unfamiliar to me. The good about it is that I will be closer to the beautiful and magnificent Fall Creek Falls state park and Savage Gorge and dear god if you haven't been to either of them then oh my honey mustard, give me a call and we will plan a camping trip!

I am majoring in Wildlife and Fisheries Conservation Sciences (a mouthful I know) in order to become a wildlife technician at national or state park. Now you may ask "now Kc, why do you want to be a park ranger?" and the answer will be I don't. Cuz they aren't the same thing and I want to be a wild. tech.

So what do we do? Freakin everything that there is to do. Re-locations of multiple animals (including the big ones like bears...holy crap bears! depending where I end up of course) re-building natural habitats, population records/control, catching poachers, fixing pollution problems (dead fish are a HUGE indicator), making tree farming charts and topical graphs for stuff, other kinds of construction...basically get paid to play in the woods all day!

I'm really excited since the program I am in has me taking a TON of field classes that I get to go out and do stuff like actually work outdoors! So like if we are hiking and you are all like "KC! WHAT KINDA ROCK IS THAT?" I will probably be all like "iunno I hate rocks." but then I will probably tell you anyways since I have to take ADVANCED GEOLOGICAL SCIENCES which is just fancy talk for "Kc is still not allowed to throw dirt at others". Whatever...they don't know me.

Anyways! I will be visiting Nashville every other weekend to go home to my peeps (you know who you are) so if you guys are in Nashville or for some odd reason Cookeville, hit me up and we can go throw dirt at people! X3

I don't exactly know what is, but I am in the most pain I have ever been in since the time that my appendix almost ruptured. It's in my stomach and I have no clue what the hell it is. Luckily I was able to get my shift at work covered but now I have to drive all the way across town to take my bio final...I just want to curl up in a nice hot as hell shower and not move for a while...

I am currently at  KrISTeIn's apartment because I had to bring my cat Theodore over to hide from the inspection that is going on at my apartment today. There are two other cats here, one belonging to Tawni (Elliot) and one belonging to her roommate (Charley). At first I expected there to be the biggest cat hoedown in the history of cat fights and that Charley or Elliot would bully Theo, but oohhhhh no... You see it is Theo that is being the "Take one step closer and I will shred your insides out." kinda cat. Charley keeps trying to see how close he can get before that actually happens, and Elliot is off hiding and couldn't really care what happens.

I never would have guessed, although after he tried to kill my cousin when we gave him a bath, I halfway expected him to burn my apartment down so I should have known that he would be the aggressive one.

I know how to introduce cats to each other and take care of all sorts of animals (it's kinda my job) and I have made sure to try to get them all off on the right foot but with any cats all you can do is take it in very small steps and hope for the best lol I just hope they end up getting along.

Holy crap I just finished drawing 50 of those thumbnails that  twinkle wanted me to do so that I could practice art and now I can't get the images of tiny faceless men out of my mind....O_o Does anyone know of a skip button that just makes you good at art? If so don't tell Twinkle. He will kill me if I even think of pressing it.

I gave my cat a bath last night...and he is not happy. I recently came home to a floor completely covered in yarn, shreds of newspaper, and...oh dear god the loaf of bread has been mutilated. I should have known that Theo, (my cat...short for Theodore) after bitting the absolute shit out of my cousin, (who knew that assisting would land him an immediate spot on Theo's hit list) would try to do everything in his power to make the whole apartment suffer the dire consequences for giving him a bath in which he sees as inhumane torture. My socks are all over the hallway, stuff on my nightstand has been knocked over, books and games have been knocked off the shelf, and now that I think about it I can not find Theo anywhere...but I know he is here...lurking in the shadows or perhaps hiding in my closet just waiting...I regret nothing.

I was wanting to make more fursuit pics today but the unpredictable weather patterns of Nashville decided to make that impossible today. to say that its raining cats and dogs around here is an extreme understatement. it rains lions and great danes O_o
