I did the spookest thing imaginable and died for five whole years. A hell of a lot has happened in the meantime. I've lost family members, gone through at least one relationship and a subsequent break-up, and have been juggling pretty severe family and personal health issues, as well as family dramas basically every day since. Between that and my previous main platform deciding to implode in on itself and subsequently needing to transfer over to new ones, all while trying to keep up on making new art monthly, it's been hard to find the time to maintain everything. FA has been one of those places I've struggled with upkeeping the most. But I'd really like to get back to posting on here, was always the plan. So I'm starting off by reintroducing myself! Our self? What ever!

On top of the great many things that have happened in my absence, I've also undergone a bit of an identity split. The old self is still around, still me. But they'd also taken on a life of their own, a life a bit different from what I think I want from my own personal representation. So there's at least two of me now, and we're both massive problems.

I've been spending a great deal of time setting up my latest art and other postings on my bsky here! It's been the social space I've been most active on, aside from my Patreon here! Which has become where I've put most of my efforts and is not only my main area of focus but the best way of interacting with my work. I've enjoyed having input from the community and the income and the flexibility and freedom that it has given me have been invaluable. Especially when going through all these hard events.

Seriously, I want to massively thank everyone who has been supporting through Patreon even if you just dipped in and out. It has truly helped me out so much.

I've always been intending to come back to uploading to furaffinity for a very long time, I like the idea of keeping FurAffinity as a persistent gallery for my work. but the aforementioned issues arose, and kept arising over and over again. Consider this an apology and a promise to upload more. I want to make sure you folks on here are not being left out.

So, I'd like to get the ball rolling and share as much of my work on here as possible. Including the multitudes of sketches and other art I produce every month on Patreon. The plan is they get the stuff first and foremost, then after a short time it comes over onto here. The only issue is, well there's now kind of a pretty massive backlog. So it's going to take a bit to catch up and sort through.

SO, I'm thinking I'll date the older artworks with their initial release dates. Because if I try to do it all in release order, it's going to be a bloody nightmare. I'm hoping to get the wheel turning but it's probably going to be slow for a while as I get back into the rhythm of doing so.

I didn't have much of a set up for Halloween and figured the scariest thing I could probably do is start making posts on here again. So yeah still not dead.

So to keep it short "What happened?" Well a whole lot of life happened, hard and fast. I was more active on twitter and that was easier to keep up with and then next thing I knew it had been nearly 2 years.

A lot has happened in that time but also a lot not worth going into really. I've got a backlog of two years worth of art to upload so that's going to be happening, although slowly, or in batches. I'm thinking I'll mix it up and do some old and some new from time to time. I want to have it all up on here, the finished pieces at least. There's a few sketches and junk which aren't worth uploading to a gallery, but a lot of the things I feel are "complete" will show up on here in time.

But on the note of recent art, I am on Patreon now! Have been for at least a year. So hey if you want to see the latest as soon as it's made, final pictures at full resolutions with all their variants, vote on polls, see sketches and work in progress pieces. Then came join me on there!

The plan is everything worth while will come onto here in time. But I kind of gave Patreon a accidental two year head start so I mean, there's a lot of catching up to do. It's also pretty much meant to be used as a monthly tip jar for those so inclined to use that. As shocking as it might be to hear, I do kind of need to eat too and the added support it has given me has been invaluable. It's been an incredible support and motivator through some very hard times.

Ok so, it's only been like, what a year? yeah thats a normal amount of time to be away. Ok so tl;dr lots of family dramas started up and are currently on going and it had put me in a bad place for a long while. I've still be creating stuff but it's mostly been going up onto twitter because I've been stressed and had my focus else where and it was just easier for me to throw things up on there.

SOOO, going to try and make a effort to upload over a years worth of art onto here, not all at once but day by day at least. So in advance I do want to apologize for the spam. A lot of it, and especially the older stuff I will try to keep to scraps so I'm not spamming the crap out of the main pages. I'd like to do it in chronological order but honestly there are a few newer pieces I'd like to show off more so it's going to be a really jumble of quality and quantity probably.

So yeah, I guess less a return and more like, me trying to get out of a slump and back into the swing of things.
