Furrydelphia Bound!
Posted 3 years agoHey everyone, figured I'd put this up n let everyone know I'm off to FD towards the end of the month! As many know, squirrel likes to make a nest for himself in the gaming room (tabletop, not video) and can be found there for a majority of the Con.
Besides playing games with folks I like debuting allotta stuff from Kickstarter, so my game collection has many oddities, rarities, and things to astonish! Towards the evening I take trips around the Philly area while hunting for foods n stuff in my Mobile Squirrel Fortress (van).
Oh! Some great news this year: I was approved for my Red Dragon Inn Tournament! So now the event I hosted on-the-fly every year has become a recognized official Convention Event in the Con schedule and everything! WEWT!! Accordingly, the prize I'm providing this year is much more valuable and much nicer/cooler than previous years, but I'm not gonna spoil it just yet ;3
Finally for anyone who hasnt met me and might be curious, I havent done one of these in awhile:

Going to Furrydelphia
Posted 4 years agoHey everyone, I know I dont really do too many Journals and especially since the pandemic hit, BUT I figured I'd post one to let everyone watching that I will be at Furrydelphia.
My usual "nesting" area is in the Gameroom with my pile of extra-awesome games n such (the NON-videogame room). There I usually merge many of my own games with the collection the Con already proveds in order to achieve a broader spectrum of games since my collection contains ALLOT of rarer or off-beat titles
If ya wanna come play some fun games, or just sit n chat or just say hi, THATS where I'll most likely be for at least 80% of the Con
I hope to see lots of folks there!

Artist Hunting
Posted 5 years agoHey everyone, once again its been waaay too long since I've written one of these.
2021 Isnt instilling much faith in the future lately and honestly being bummed seems to be the norm anymore. My sense of smell has almost all but completely atrophied, and wearing a mask has given me a perpetual stuffy nose which is aggravating as all heck. Plus sadly my mother has been diagnosed with terminal bone cancer and has been in the dumps and trying to keep her upbeat and going is a serious strain on my normally upbeat and easy-going nature. On top of all the social, political, and medical BS affecting my everyday quality of life and general state of being is that one light in the darkness...something for me to do at home by myself or with friends online to maintain social distance etc etc etc, the PS5! Whoops...nope! Scalpers... X . X
Soooo other than all this negative crap, as many of you who've waited can see, I FINALLY got Deli 3 made and posted. I have 2 other arts in the works as well as an upcoming story to post when theyre done. One of my resolutions for this new year is to drop Keaton for awhile and start commishing some arts of my less loved OC's so they can have their chance in the spotlight as well! ((I know commishing isnt a word, but I just made it one so there!)) I'm already brainstorming to see what I can come up with, and since PS5 still seems quite far from my grasp, I've no problems dipping into my Playstation fund to pay for some nice arts.
That said, there's ONE last piece I wanted to get done with my main squirrel Keaton, and for this I need a good vore artist who can do Soulvore nicely as well as traditional soft vore. I dont wanna go into the details here, BUT if anyone reading this would like to suggest themselves or an artist for me to check out, I'd be very grateful. I've been seeking old contacts of mine, but many arent responding and some are just completely out of the game for awhile...soooo its time I made some NEW contacts and got this piece rolling so I can continue on working on new stuff!

I will check out ALL suggested artists as time permits and make a decision when I've found "The One" but I may likely goto other suggested artists for other projects down the road.

Anyway, here it is Haloween again and I'll be attending the best Con of the year, Furpocalypse!
For those who know me, last year I had some bad vehicle troubles last year and nearly had to cancel until I was offered a ride from a friend. While this saved my vacation, I ultimately had to leave many larger things that I've been know to feature at home! While this bummed out my many fans, I gotta say I was especially bummed at myself. Well this year the Mobile Squirrel Fortress is up and running fine and I'm bringing E V E R Y T H I N G!!
YES! This year I will have ALL my board and card games present including all my Anki tracks & cars and old and new Fireball Island, even my hybrid TCG Video game: Eye of Judgement! I'll also be hosting a Red Dragon Inn tourny with a nice prize for the last person standing.

Furpocalypse 2018 and recent troubles
Posted 7 years agoSoooo I'm pretty sure I'm going this year...I KNOW its this coming weekend, but sadly my van went kerput on me and the garage cant start working on it till this Tuesday and I'm usually up there and on-site by Thursday evening. They assure me that if what I suspect is wrong with it IS whats wrong with it, they should be able to repair/replace what needs it and have it running again by (hopefully) Thursday afternoon.
I must say that this year has been a real heck-fest as far as trying to save $$ for this convention. Firstly I held back my annual Knoebels meet till late summer, a choice I wont be making again in the future. Then I had insurance and several other large bills pile on me altogether at falls onset, THEN not one but TWO repairs needed by my van kinda emptied me out and I'm running off of ONE paycheck for this trip IF I still make it... GAH!
Also, for those who know me from previous years, I'm the racing guy with the neat cell-phone controlled Anki Overdrive track in the gaming room. Sadly the track is wearing out and thus the cars have a harder time staying on-track, and with all the expenses thrust upon me of late, I havent had the time nor cash to replace the worn track pieces. So unfortunately this year will be the 1st that I do not bring my tracks...though I may just say heck with it ad brig the older set of cars, but they dont have as much options as the newer set. Meh, we'll see.
Ok, enough of the gloom and doom, IF I do make it to Furpoc, I will be in the tabletop gaming room for most of the Con, as I always have. I brig a plethora of my own personal collection of rare and unusual games that I add to the cons already large game selection for the benefit of Con-goers. In the absence of my Overdrive track I may just bring my super huge triple boardgame The Dark World Trilogy!
On top of that I do fully intend to brig my collection of Furoticon Cards to play with seasoned players or teach newbies alike! Due to the X rated nature of the cards artwork, this will be done at night, usually in a quiet place, feel free to ask in person or here on FA if interested as this will not be scheduled or anything.
Each year I do take a trip to Saturday in the early to late afternoon to the nearby hobbystore that showcases products at the Con, but I find their store much better supplied with a tremendously larger selection of nerd-loot! ^.^
Finally I guess I'll put some basic info here at the end in case anyone who is going would like to find me:

Knoebels Grove 2018
Posted 7 years agoHey everyone, been awhile since I posted much, but I figured I'd spread the word about my annual Knoebels Grove meet! All info can be found here: https://www.fursvp.com/group/knoebels/5428
A few details here: Its in central(ish) Pennsylvania, on Aug 27 from noon-8pm. Knoebels Grove is a VERY old-skool styled amusement park with some very old-skool practices including free parking, free pavilions, free admission, free live entertainment, and plenty of free drinkable water via cobble-stone drinking fountains.
Buying tickets (or an all-day wristband) will allow entry on their rides including several roller coasters, Haunted House, several trains, and many many more including the one-of-a-kind trackless rollercoaster called the Flying Turns!
They have great food and the atmosphere despite being an amusement park is VERY chill and relaxed. The park has always gone out of its way to avoid chopping down trees when adding new additions or attractions, and this creates a very serene forest canopy through most of the park.
One of my faves is the Ski-Lift ride that takes you up the side of the mountain, which gives a beautiful (if somewhat short) view of the valley on the other side, then as you descend, you get an awesome view of the park itself as you lower back into it.
Anyway a bunch of us DO camp there at the on-site campground over the weekend then attend the Monday meet. If you're outta state and interested, there's always this option as well!
If you'd like to hook up with me and my ragtag band of furries, just drop me a PM and I can give ya any info you'd need. I always look forward to meeting new folks!

After AC
Posted 9 years agoSo WOW! My furst AnthroCon ever! It was quite nice and a bit overwhelming to have so many furs in one spot. And despite the constant agonizing pain in my left ankle and the fact I could not walk at all without the aid of a cane, thus keeping me from exploring much outside the Con Center, I did have a good time.
I hosted my 3-day game panel and had adequate interest and turnout. We had 6 recipients for the specialty badges which will get started soon. My games were well used at the Con which is always a nice thing, manyMANY people went gaga over Fireball Island as its an epic and fun game and among the rarest to see anywhere. BossMonster was also quite popular and even Terror in Meeple City got some love. For the most part everyone respected my rare and old games and no pieces were lost, however someone from Friday night into Saturday stole a Furoticon Card-Box filled with all the Black Cards for my Cards Against Humanity set. While disappointing, at least it wasnt one of the irreplaceable games, so the burn is minimal and I'll eventually get around to replacing the lost cards
On a separate note, I went and derped before even leaving my house, having left ALL my badges on my desk at home. Sooooo I had to go and commish a new badge which turned out wonderfully! I'll likely post this tomorrow morning. While tempted to get other arts n stuff, I remained conservative and bought a bunch of Furo cards, but otherwise only really spent (GOBS) of money on Food, parking etc.
All in all it was a nice experience, I got to meet lots of prominent folks in the Furry community and made some new friendships as well. Buuut I think AC shall be a once every few years kinda thing for me as I prefer the smaller cons. The one thing AC truly lacks due to its size is a calm personal homey atmosphere that is the charm of so many of the smaller Cons out there.
I do owe some folks badges which I'll update here as they progress. Due to my injury I STILL havent fully unpacked yet and the refs and lists are still in my Jeep. I'll get to them as soon as I'm physically able and get em out to ya!

AC 2016 Westin Room Needed
Posted 10 years agoHey everyone, well christ almighty, my 1st experience with AC was not a good one. Tried getting a room AT the Westin, pensively waited for the gotel countdown to expire then hit the button AT exactly 11am, and got put in a 1 minute que...during which time the Westin sold out completely.
WTF seriously?!? My blood pressure shot up remarkably! They dont anticipate this? There's not a better way to compensate for this? I'm...completely burned out over this total BS and cant believe it...seriously!
At any rate, if you or someone you know actually got a room in the Westin and has openings for roommates, I desperately need one! I have a few boxes I take with me and dont take up much space.
I also have a 2nd that I'm hoping to room with, so it'd be great if he could come as well.
Please either msg me or respond to this Journal

Posted 10 years agoHey everyone, well as the insanely busy month known as October trudges on and we're finally approaching the halfway mark, I find myself reaching my ONE free weekend of the month, YAY!
That being said, my personal Furmeet over my town's Heritage Festival was a wonderfully fun time and everyone enjoyed themselves. I got to playtest my huge mega-boardgame that I'll be bringing with me to Furpocalypse this year and am now primed to tweak certain things since the game is VERY rough on players. I think it'll make it a smoother more enjoyable time.
Sadly we didnt get to breakout any card games, so the new one I recently picked up still remains unplayed and I REALLY gotta learn it. ((Its the Tank Vixens as portrayed in my game pics in scraps)) Furoticon and Tails&Tactics are down pat and I'm even starting to build some Furo decks to have ready on the fly :)
All this being said brings up my next point: Furpocalypse! I'm so looking forward to attending my 3rd Fur Con (at my 2nd venue) and have high hopes for much fun and meeting all the furries that attend. If it needs be said, with my boardgames, I'll either setup camp in the Zoo or in the game room, seeya there!
On a last and kinda offpoint...errr...POINT. I finally dug out my copy of Soul Sacrifice for PSVita and I remember bumping to a couple folks either online or IRL that said they enjoy playing it and I'm looking for fellow adventurers joining in to complete some of the tougher levels and time-limited battles >.<
Welp thats all I can think of for now, if you're interested in playing Soul Sacrifice or just wanna say hi or even ask about playing some awesome boardgames at Furpocalypse, feel free to comment or PM me, I'm always here ^.^

Knoebel's Grove 2015!!!

Crisis passed and Future Ideas
Posted 11 years agoHey everyone. Well I'm finally working again and the monetary troubles have been averted and finances are being stabilized slowly but surely. Now the fun of saving up for a vehicle begins! Soon I hope to start commissioning some thing since its been forever since I've had a piece done and I'm feelin the need for new arts n stuff! Aside from my financial blues, My grandparents (90, and 93 respectively) had recently come down with a BAD case of the flu! Thankfully the illness has broken and they're slowly regaining strength, but that has also been taking a toll on me and the rest of the family as we've tended to them and helped them through this rather troubling affliction. I must say that with all the flu-talk on the net and news with reports of deaths and such, my grandparents have proven that they do NOT go down easily without a fight and I'm grateful they beat the nasty lil germs.
But enough of current stuff, onto the future! A friend of mine had recently revealed to me that he plans on moving several STATES south and as part of his preparations, was selling or junking a number of things in order to reduce moving expenses and to have a sort of "Fresh start" mindset to the move. As such, he gifted unto me many of his old Halo Reach figures and pieces, knowing that I once was a customizer of such things.
Soooooo, being that I rarely play the game anymore, the muses of such things have left me, so I toyed with the notion of perhaps opening myself up to some commissions. Who thinks this would be a good idea? I could take requests from Halo fans to modify and paint a Halo Reach toy to look exactly like or as close to an in-game pic as possible then send through the mail.
The idea would be to make an actual TOY of YOUR spartan that you play as in-game! Yea, I'm a nerd, and this would be for other nerds who would enjoy such a piece to call their own. I only ever posted my own figure here on FA and it can be found here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11292326/ I apologize for the blurriness, the pic was taken on a DSi at the time :p
Things I could do besides the custom painting are:
Matching Chest Armor
Matching Shoulder Armor
Matching Knee Armor
Close-Match Helmets
Matching 2-weapon Loadout
Matching Grenade Loadout
And possibly wrist or leg attachments, but those I have very few of, and they're hard to transfer without damaging, so that would be case-by-case.
But yea, the other thing I cant settle on is pricing. All the figures and parts used are no longer in production, and originally they sold for $10 a piece. I'm no artist, so I've no idea how to set prices or even if this would be something people would want.

Money Troubles

For those that know, I've been without work now for awhile, living off my savings and selling stuff on eBay. With the holidays upon us, I THOUGHT I was all set to at least last till the new years, but my account is pretty much dry and an unexpected bill caught me completely off-guard.
If anyone could hook a squirrel up, I'd be incredibly grateful!
I'm hoping to scrape together around $30 to afford food till the new years and keep my account in the positive (God if I slip into the negative I'm all sorts of screwed O.o )
I normally dont do this, I hate asking for help, but I'm quickly running out of options and have nowhere to really turn :( But anyone is welcome to send a note, and ANY help will be appreciated

So I recently got AC Unity for my PS4 and I must say I absolutely HATE just randomly joining up with strangers via "Partner search" since I almost always exclusively get teamed with 5-8 year-olds that are only co-opping to be carried cuz they STINK at the game (( 5-8 seems to be the average age for M rated games O.o ))

Posted 11 years agoWell the FA:U 7 has come to an end and I'm nearly fully recovered! WOW! What a weekend! Despite being a convention, it had a nice easy-going pace about it that was just really nice. Feeling like I could have a great time doing whatevs is always great and lends to a feeling of total relaxation and fun! As a first FUR con for me, I gotta say this was one of the best cons I've ever attended! (Others being toy cons, comic cons, music cons etc)
Besides the artwork posted (and those yet to come) from the con, I got to meet sooooo many wonderful people! Artists, suiters, and furs of all kinds were there and I didnt meet a single bad one at all. This further lent to the great atmosphere at the Con as well.
Altogether, it was an amazing experience and I highly recommend that folks attend next year's FA:U to have as great an experience as I did ^.^

Posted 11 years agoHey everyone! With less than a week left until FA:U the excitement is building and I'm really looking forward to go! Sadly though misfortune has befallen one of my fellow Con-goers and he can no longer attend with us!!
So I'm putting this journal out there to see if anyone wants to go and would wanna fill our room opening. There's now 3 of us splitting the room, and we have a room right in the Marriot.
If you'd be interested in being our 4th, lemme know! Your share of the room would be $125 which covers all 4 nights there, and the basic ticket cost online (if you dont already have one) is $35 here at http://www.faunited.org/#!registration/c21q0
We're bummed that he couldnt make it, but if someone else wanted to go and couldnt afford a hotel on their own, here's your chance! Hit me up!
If you're relatively local to Scuylkill County to Lackawanna County, a ride may even be available for ya!

Knoebel's Aftermath
Posted 11 years agoHey everyone! Well for those that showed up to the Knoebel's meet, I hope you all had a great time. For those that missed it, there's always next year!
I personally had a wonderful time despite getting hit with a nasty malady. We doubled in size from last year, and did quite well with the added folks AND we came up with a neat idea for the coming years: Arranging a stay-over meet by renting out one of the nice cabins they have there, and having a 3-day event sometime in the future!!
Anyway, I did take some pics of the attendees and such and will post those in the coming days. Due to my body being completely exhausted, I've been passing out right after work and havent had the time to fully unpack OR get much internets done yet, but they should be up in the coming days :p

Knoebels Meet 2014 !!
Posted 11 years agoHey everyone! Well its getting to be that time of year again, so I've setup this year's Knoebel's Grove PA Furmeet!
Last years was honestly rather thrown together and last-minute, and yet its success was truly astounding, making for a monumentally great time to all who came.
Anyone in / near / or traveling to Pennsylvania this July should certainly see if you can make it.

Posted 11 years agoWell, its about time for this squirrel to attend his first Furry Convention EVER! And from the way the dates play out this year, it looks like the one and only FA:U will be the one! Already got plans in the works and looking for folks that'd wanna split a hotel room to leave more monies for important stuff like noms and arts and whatnot :p

Posted 12 years agoWell training's over, and I'm gainfully employed, so will be commissioning things on a more frequent basis! Anyone that knows of any artists that combine quality with affordability, feel free to give em a mention here! I'll be sure to check em out!
