So Redbubble is acting a fool. Starting Sep 1st, they are charging a 50% fee on all profits that a person makes. So if you make 20 cents from a sticker purchase, like I just did now, they take 10 cents.

The thing about Redbubble is that they don't then send you the 10 cents. They keep your earnings until you reach a payout threshold, and THEN they send you your money. But now this means it will take a lot longer to reach that payment threshold, at which then they can possibly raise the fees and take more.

Redbubble always had abysmal profit margins already, but it was nice once in a while to get some extra cash. Unless you have a LOT of people regularly buying your product, you aren't going to make anything at all. Not with a 50% fee on profits and not an EXTRA 50% FEE if you set your profit margins above 20%.

So yeah. No.

What is probably happening is that tariffs are making stickers and shirts more expensive, but instead of just saying they have to charge fees due to that or just raising the price of goods to cover it, they pass all the burden on ranado artists that want to make/sell silly stickers.

If anyone has anywhere else you can sell stickers and such that doesn't suck, let me know. Otherwise, I would have to print my own stickers and sell them like that, but IDK how to do that lol.

So yeah fuck that, deleting Redbubble soon when I got the time. I'm sorry to folks who want Pride Cryptic stickers, but I'll have to figure out what to do next that doesn't involve getting nickel-and-dimed so bad.

Secondly, I'm moving, again. This time hopefully into a more stable situation with my fiance. I've been essentially living out of a suitcase the past three years in one temporary living situation after another. It's all been with friends, so I was safe, but it always was meant to be temporary.

So the goal is October where my fiance and I can get an apartment together. We'll start sending out applications in July/August and hopefully nail down a place by then. I started a moving fund on Ko-Fi to help me buy essential household goods and pay for moving expenses/application fees. Examples of what I would get are things like dishes, toilet brushes, soap, toilet paper, silverware, pots and pans. Stuff you usually don't own yourself unless your own your own. Any signal boosting, prayers, and donations will be greatly appreciated.

It's also PRIDE MONTH and I am VERY GAY so I want to do some simple arts to celebrate. The goal is to make some art that I can put up on Redbubble but also make into a downloadable art/PDF pack for personal use. I'm having a hard time choosing a subject so you can go vote in my poll to help narrow it down.

In other news I'm going to complete at least one owed Patreon art a month. When that is all done, I may open very limited, one at a time, commissions. It honestly depends on what life looks like for me once I'm in the apartments. So don't hold your breath, but it's something I do miss doing.

Hello Friends, I return! Slowly, that is. I'm alive and all, but making art isn't so easy for me anymore. It's frustrating that it takes this much time to do, but I do really miss making art. So I'll try my best to post some here every so often.

No, not open for commissions. I'm sorry to those who really do want me to do commission work again, but my health is too unpredictable. I will be looking to get into adoptables and PSD file stuff cause those are a little more easy on me! I mostly want to make stuff that makes me happy again. Not that commission work didn't make me happy. I honestly really enjoyed what people asked me to do. It's just it became my identity so much it became difficult to do something for me too. I hope regardless you'll like the stuff I make at the very least.

Hello everyone! Making a journal to tell you all about one of my best buds  not-fun, who has made a GoFundMe to help him knock out his lingering medical bills.

He had cancer, kicked its ass, and took its name. But. Cancer is expensive and left him in some debt. Right now the GFM is over halfway funded, which is amazing! It would do me a solid if you guys could toss a few dollars his way, or just signal boosted to raise awareness. This is important to me because Cial has been my friend for over a decade now and has always been there when I needed help or some encouragement. He's a good guy and doesn't deserve to be punished with debt for getting sick and surviving it.

I have been getting back injections. I get them every two months and I get about 6-8 injections in my back to help with my chronic pain. It does hurt but getting it done hurts too XD I have to back in for more tests within the next few months for my regular cancer screenings. No cancer symptoms yet, but everyone in my blood line has gotten some form of cancer, so I go through the gauntlet every year for tests.

Other wise, I'm actually happier. I still have my fiance', I have my pets, and I have you guys. I have food and i'm KINDA warm. I hate winter XD Thank you all for everything and bless :3

So apparently, patreon does NOT allow monthly merch rewards. You have to be subscribed to a merch tier for three months, and then you get the one and only one merch. THEN, if you want a second merch, you have to unsub and then resub and wait another three months to get said merch. I am not happy about that, at all.

So I ended up putting all my current designs up on my red bubble, and instead my patreon members will get un-watermarked clean art that they can print out as they please. I will keep making more designs and more bug poem things so there's that!

Right now I don't have the means to print out my own prints/stickers and mail them all out, so apologies X<

FIRST OFF, GOOD NEWS.

Those that have known me for a while know that I struggle with chronic pain. I have scoliosis and several bone deformities that cause a LOT of pain in my back and legs. It was getting bad enough that I had to put Patreon on hold because I couldn't sit up long enough to draw. Most days I would be stuck in bed, not being able to move much in case I cause a muscle spasm in my back or my bones decided to feel like they were burning from the inside out. It SUCKED. I have worked for over TWO YEARS, jumping through hoop after hoop, test after test, in order to get an appointment with the pain specialists in my area. There I got more xrays and MRIs and finally, I was given a treatment plan. I am now taking anti-inflammatory drugs to help manage flare ups. And on Friday I got trigger point injections in my back. This is designed to block pain and allow me to actually LIVE without being in abject agony.

For the first time since I can remember, I can actually sit up without pain. It's amazing. It really is. Thank you for all the well wishes through this time as it really helped a lot!

My girlfriend is actually coming up to stay with me during Christmas and I am incredibly happy for that. I am so touch starved I can't even lol. She is currently open for commissions because she does great work and I'm very proud of her.

As for the not so nice, I am not going to be able to finish everything in one week to open up my Patreon again. I plan to get it up again in January 2021 if things go okay. That means that I will need to rely on everyone's generosity again, and for that I'm sorry. I promise to do everything in my power to provide content again that people will be able to enjoy. I've been working with the new laptop that your generous donations that helped me finally get!

First off, It's so fast and quick. Photoshop opens in an instant. I can actually download and figure out blender. I can do my dnd games and draw at the same time! I can also finally play vidya with my girlfriend! Viscera Cleanup Detail is a favorite! I can also FINALLY play Fallout 4 lol.

The only thing that took getting used to is the screen. I think it may be due to my poor vision already but the colors are different compared to my previous work engine. Colors either seem too rich or overly saturated on here compared to my previous work. I believe I'm starting to get used to it now as the proper levels of color and saturation as it seems like my previous screen was way too light and washed out colors. If you notice any differences in my work, that is why, and I hope soon to be completely acclimated to it! Even with glasses things always seem blurry to me so I'm not going to count that against the computer. It's probably just me lol.

I also had enough left to get both a new tablet pen that makes drawing a BREEZE and not a painful nightmare and a pair of headphones for those that are deaf on one side. I can hear stereo now in one ear and I suppose that's what it's like to hear out of both sides of your head at the same time! It's so weird but I like it!

Work is definetly more comfortable now. My body still isn't the best but at least now I don't have to fight hardware and can actually relax and draw instead of becoming an anxiety ridden mess because I would have to spend 30 minutes trying to get my broken tablet pen to behave and actually DRAW.

So yee. I also downloaded Postybirb so I hope I can upload all previous Patreon rewards for the past three months here XD

Hello Friends!

As you have noticed, I've been pretty quiet lately. Why? My health hasn't been all that great. Thankfully, all my tests are coming back negative for cancer and anything infectious or new. It seems like it's just my body starting to wear out sooner than I thought it would. I'm going to be trying a new medication this year (once i get approved) to help with my ptsd nightmares. Hopefully that'll let me actually get a good sleep!

I was born with bone deformities that cause chronic pain and later in life brain damage which causes my chronic anxiety/ptsd/depression. I'm like an old car with spare parts needed that isn't made anymore. So things are slow, but I am still alive. And despite it all, I am still happy. There's a chance I can get into a pain clinic to see what can be done about that and there's options now that don't need opiates! Which is great.

I've been tired and slow, hence I am sorry for lack of content. So far it's just patreon things for now and everyone has been wonderful and patient with me so I can complete them all.

Commissions are on a hard close until a much later date. I still got stuff I owe that I will work on, but right now I don't want to pile on too much and end up burning out. I want to be 100% sure that people that pledge to my patreon get their rewards in a timely matter first. I hope I can start making stellarmass stuff again soon. I started working on a website for it but I've been slow. My goal is to have a discord RP server to it!

I've been taking a huge break from tumblr. There's a lot of pressure there to constantly produce. Especially since I am in a fandom and write a fanfic for it. A break is doing wonders for me and now I am not working myself up into a panic attack over it. Some things must come first before fandom stuff.

Don't worry about me with the chorono virus. I have a hoard of supplies and I am practically a cave goblin by how often i leave my house (once a week usually, for therapy). I'll be okay.

There is a reptile expo next week that I have been looking forward to for a while now. I was given permission by my landlord to get a frog so I am stoked. Specifically a pac man frog that I'm going to give a jojo stand name like I do with all my other creepy crawlies. They are also doing fine. My vinegaroon and most of my millies are still in hibernation. My Tarantulas have been eating and molting and are really beautiful. The cat I adopted in November is sweet and has slain every single mouse in the house. I'm blessed and grateful to have them all.

I'll probably be gathering up people I know are open for commissions and make a post about it, cause they could use the work!

Spacecat Studios is back from the ashes! I lost all my original code due to my (now ex) boyfriend owning the webspace so when he dumped me I had to scramble to save all I could and thought I didn't need to export my wordpress stuff.

In other news my disability got denied, which is true to the course of America. I'm scrambling trying to find specialist doctors but no luck lol. I'm not going to give up! All the psychiatrists in my area have 6+month waiting lists, and I can't get a pain doctor without jumping through 500 hoops getting referrals. Why isn't there just a bone doctor? I keep calling orthopedic places and they are like 'we don't treat scoliosis here'. Emailed a hearing center trying to get an appointment but no emails back. Why must the medical industry be the most confusing thing ever?

My pet bugs are all doing okay too. I even made a section of my site for all the bugs I have, plus my rescue cat, Rosie. She isn't a bug but I still adore her.

Thursday I will have outlived my original life expectancy by six years! Horray!

When I was born my doctor thought I would be lucky to reach 20-25 BUT GUESS WHAT I DID LOL.

I LIVED. BITCH.

Also Thursday I have a social security app. (I am fighting for disability again) and also my baby tarantulas will arrive that day so it'll be interesting to say the least. That weekend I intend to take a mini weekend vacation to my landlord's country house that is so country it doesn't have running water. Seeing how I grew up it's no problem for me :3 I'll just unplug and enjoy sitting outside with coffee/root beer and shooting the shit with my kinda adoptive parents.

All my pet bugs are doing fine too. The millipedes keep growing and my vinegaroon is very happy digging burrows in her new enclosure. I will be getting an emperor scorpion too at some point but temperatures are still dangerously hot in some parts of the country, so i'm fine with waiting a little while.

Also have shinies been working out for people? I have been very cautious about implementing them due to paypal's history with FA. So far it doesn't seem like anyone is having problems. If that's so, then I'll probably turn them on in the future.

Welp, I am single again.

There's a good chance my ex might buy the house with his new gf and that would mean I have to get the fuck out, and go somewhere else.

My ex gf and I are still really close friends so we might go out and try to get an apartment (we decided to be sisters instead of partners). My other roommate might join us. I don't know what the future will hold, but it's pretty scary and I don't know what's going to happen.

I was going to get more bugs for my birthday, but everything extra is now old complete hold. My future is very uncertain.

I'm going to fight for ssi/disability again because if i can get, i could afford a little one bedroom apartment in the area. And yes, I do count as disabled. The problem is that in America its customary to deny applicants up to three times. I already got denied once.

So yeah. I'm sad. I'm depressed. I don't know what's going to happen to me.

I'm just more sad that i'm too broken of a person to be loved by someone. I can't give most people what they want and that just depresses me even more.
