Need Roomies for Furry Fiesta 2016
General | Posted 10 years agoHello! Once again, I need to ask furries who are planning on attending Furry Fiesta if anyone wants to be my roommates. I had two possible furs say they cannot make it this year. Right now, I have one possible roommate, but I need two more definate roommates.
I have a two-bed room at the main hotel, the Dallas Intercontinental. The room will be for Friday night to Monday morning. Cubs and cub friendly furs are appreciated!
The estimated cost for the room for the weekend is $420. Split four ways, the cost is an estimated $105. A three way split would cost an estimated $140. The last two years, someone didn't show , so I had to eat a night's stay. This time, I'm not going to be able to do that, due to financial issues (may have to buy a new car due to hail damage).
If you want to consider staying with me at Furry Fiesta, please PM me! There will be some rules for the room, which I will send you if you want to consider sharing my room.
Anyway, please has sleepover with me in Dallas!

Something Absolutely Terrific Has Happened!!!!!11!!1

My mom was born to a lady who had an affair while her husband was fighting in World War 2. The day he returned from the Pacific was when she was delivering mom. This discovery led to their divorce, and my mom was sent to be adopted.
Ever since mom found out she was adopted, she has been trying to find her birth family. She tried to fight to unseal the records of her adoption, but the courts refused...
For her Christmas/Birthday present (her birthday was early January), I bought her an AncestryDNA test kit. She got the results back almost two weeks ago, and found a cousin! She sent the cousin an email to introduce herself, with a message to reply if she was welcome.
The cousin wrote back!!! For the past two weeks, she has been called by several cousins mom didn't know she had!
This afternoon, she talked to probably the one person she thought she would never talk to - her OLDER SISTER!!! I'm anxiously waiting to find out about the phone call, but from what I heard before, it should be great.... I'll add an update when I talk with mom later.
UPDATE: mom and her sister talked for two hours. Her sister now understands what happened with her family when mom was born. She has accepted mom into her family!
If I hear Easter, Thanksgiving, or Christmas is in Phoenix, or if they decide to go to El Paso, I'm going too!

On a very personal note, this will be the first time I will get to go to MFM since I moved to Del Rio, and the first time I will get to go after PandaGuy's tragic death in 2012. I will finally get to have closure, since I wasn't able to go the last two years.

FA has reached Stage 2 (Update)
General | Posted 10 years agoWell, FA has started showing naughty ads. If it hits Stage 3 (viral ads), I'm GTFO!
The thing is I've seen this twice before, on DA and another furry site I used to visit. First were regular ads, then there were porn ads, then the viruses started invading my computer. DA introduced me to the anti-virus virus. The other site had site hijackers, which pulled my browser off of that site, and sent it through a bunch of different super-raunchy porn sites.
On DA, they have an option to pay $5 a month to disable the ads.
The other website was a tragedy. I tried to explain to the admins about the virus ads, and begged them to disable the ads. The admins spent their time insulting me, instead. So, I left and never went back.
I have a very bad feeling about this...

Well, when I was 12, I was already smitten with the Care Bears. But one day, I saw the ultimate cutest: Baby Hugs and Tugs! I fell in love with them! And then I started fantasizing about how I would look in a cloth diaper like theirs....
2. Do you often regression roleplay?
Uh huh!
3. Do you ever roleplay as a caretaker yourself?
No.... I dunno how to change diapers.
4. Do you wear diapers in real life? (if yes answer Q 5-9 , if no skip to Q 10)

At first, I got them at Walgreens, then I found some at a med supply store, but now, I get them at ABUniverse!

Nope, nope, and most definitely nope. I can't afford to buy cases of diapers, and since it's not medically necessary for me, I prefer to use the potty.

If I'm in my apartment, whenever the mood hits me. I will usually pad up at cons and cubby sleepovers.

I click on new and old submissions, and now there's an imvu add right next to the picture! This is very annoying! I feel like this is becoming more and more like DA! Now, I have to worry about getting the Antivirus Virus or a Crypolocker just by logging onto FA! I swear, if I have to start paying $30 a year to safely browse FA, I'm pulling the plug here...

Furry Fiesta 2015 Was a Disaster!!! :_(
General | Posted 11 years agoWell, I finally made it back from Furry Fiesta. But, I have to say this was the worst year ever for me!
Friday:
After a stop at Kitsuno's job for Jeffy to pick up Kit's paycheck and a breakfast stop at Round Rock Donuts, I followed Jeffy and Alika from Austin to Dallas. It was a crazy mad dash up IH-35 to the Dallas Intercontinental Hotel. After Opening Ceremonies, I got a Polish Sausage sammich from a food truck outside the hotel.
At 3 PM, I got my roommates and checked in. Unfortunately, one of my roommates was snowed in Pennsylvania, and could not make it. Without putting more burden on the others, I paid the portion of the missing roommate.
After 4, I found Bogie, and got to stay with him for a while. We went to the Cub Panel, then I went briefly to the Inflatable Party, before attending the Cubby Story Time with Unkie Path. After storytime, I returned to the Inflatable Party, then went to bed.
Cedar Fever was obviously in the air, as told by the coughing, snoring, and sneezing in the room every night. At least I took some Claratin D and Afrin, so I wouldn't disturb my roomies.
Saturday:
At 10AM, I got to meet FableFire and collect my badges from the Dealer's Den! Promptly at 10:30, I had to rush downstairs and catch a shuttle to the Guest of Honor Luncheon. We were taken to a really good Italian restaurant, and we were stuffed nearly to the gills with super-nummy noms! By 1 PM, I returned just in time to suit up for the Fursuit Parade! I wore my fursuit with slipper sneakers and toon gloves. I blew up a large blue Wubble ball, and carried and squished it throughout the parade, just like in my Marci badge! I didn't realize carrying a large rubber bubble could so exhausting...
After the parade and de-suiting, I heard the cubs were organizing a trip to an All You Can Nom Sushi place at 7:30! (Last year, I went with Phoenix Audobon to Tokyo One.) After finding Bogie, I waited for sushi-time. Unfortunately, things went bad. I heard the time was moved up to 7, and then heard it was moved back to 8, and then heard the place we were going to was Osaka, which is the name of a Tapanyaki/Hibachi place in San Antonio. Because I was exhausted and hurting from the parade, I got upset over all the confusion. Fortunately, things were straightened out, and we got to have AYCN sushi. I enjoyed it, but other cubs complained about things.
Sunday (f$&@in- A):
On my way up to Austin on Thrusday, I got a phone call regarding an entry from a contest I participated in last month. I was selected to receive either cash or prizes after I inspected a vacation resort. The initial facility was near New Braunfels, but I missed the cutoff time for the tour. They were able to squeeze me in for Sunday at 4 PM in a town called Flint. Unfortunately, it was two hours away.
So, at 1 PM, I left Dallas to see this place. I arrive at the place at 3, hoping to get through the tour before Closing Ceremonies, and before the weather got worse. The entire thing turned out to be a scam!!!!!111!!1 The facility was actually a time-share property out in the middle of nowhere. I suppose if you want to get away from everything, this place would be ideal. But this was not right for me. After going through the tour and fed their sales pitch, I politely turned down their offer.
So, here's what I got for my time: a vacation to a luxury destination, and a scratch card for a chance to win money or a shopping spree or a second vacation. After I scratched off five spots and an access code, I won a second vacation, which I have to pay money to use for each. I quickly drove back to Dallas, only to discover Closing Ceremonies was long over with.... I was so angry, I could've shot someone! I told Vermy about my misadventure, and immediately knew who I had dealt with.
PS, I'm not happy Furry Fiesta has to change dates for next year to March. And why in the world did they choose Bayou Nights as next year's theme? Is TFF moving to Louisiana or something?!
Monday:
As fortold by the Weather Channel, a bad winter storm hit north Texas, covering it with freezing rain and sleet! Rather than spending all day wallowing in misery, I decided to travel home at 10 AM. Fortunately, I drove in bad icy conditions when I lived in Denver 20+ years ago. After driving between 30-45 MPH on IH-35E for two hours, the ice subsided enough I didn't have to worry about circling back. When I reached Waco, the ice was gone from the roads, so I drove full-speed all the way back to Del Rio.
This entire weekend was a disaster! Lots of stress from driving, weather, misinformation, and getting yiffed by witty con men. I have to say this was the worst year for Furry Fiesta in the seven years I've attended. But there were a couple of highlights: got to see Bogie, even thought it was very brief; the fursuit parade was fun, and people loved the Wubble ball; tasty unlimited sushi was nommed; and I managed to find parking spaces open at the hotel, so I didn't have to pay for parking.

But, this Lucky guy is a bit older, wears sneakers, collects stars, and no balloons. At least not that they showed in that quick demo. If I had that Oculus Rift device, I would probably get this game to try it out.

If you'll stay with me for two nights and not three, I'll only charge you for the two nights. Here's the breakdown:
3 roomies: $50 for two nights; $75 for three nights
2 roomies: $70 for two nights; $100 for three nights
1 roomie: $100 for two nights; $150 for three nights
