In True Need of a Happy Birthday...

This birthday will be difficult fer me because this is the first one that I've been away from home since 1992. I've also been feeling the tug on my heart lately because I'm finishing my move from Rollar and Shoogy's house to my apartment in Del Rio, digging up feelings of being ripped from home nearly two months ago.

General | Posted 12 years agoWell, at approximately 9 AM tomorrow morning, I am hitting the road for Del Rio. And already, I'm feeling the effects...
Over the past weekend, I've had to sever every tie I made over the past 15 years here: my Star Trek group, the Furry group, the Doctor Who group, and even a friend who I've had shared lunch or dinner with at least once a week.
Last night, sleep was very difficult. Tigger was very helpful to get me to calm down and stop thinking and sleep.
As soon as I get mom home from the chiropractor, I need a hair cut and to finish packing the first stage of this move. I'm still very anxious about this...

My time in El Paso is up....
General | Posted 12 years agoFor the past 20 years, I have lived a nice peaceful life in El Paso, Texas. But, my job has decided that my time here is up.
Next week, I will be packing up and moving to continue working. I will be moving to Del Rio, Texas, which is 2 hours west of San Antonio. Fortunately, I will not be alone. I will get to be a neighbor to Rollar Wolfcub and Shoogy.
Hopefully, I will get there in time to adjust to the warmer and more humid climate. I'm very excited about this! And I'm scared poopless.....

Clarification on Twitter
General | Posted 13 years agoGuys, I need to clear up the stuff that happened on Twitter the other day.
I was reading through different tweets on Twitter. I was reading tweets about furry couples and groups living together and being snuggly and cuddly, or how a furry was going over to another furry for a visit. Seeing that my financial situation has not truly improved in a while, I have not been able to afford to go to any cons since MFM or drive to go visit my big brother PJ and his family in Roswell since Memorial Weekend. I started feeling lonely and empty and hurt inside.
After more casual scanning, I saw a tweet from a friend who posted "I'm a furry and I hate" stuff. A moment later, a friend of this posted something too. At that moment, my mind snapped. I thought about all the negative things that I've heard ever since I became a furry, some things that were directed at me, and some things that I've heard in general but still affected me negatively. So, that's when I replied to their tweets with "I'm a furry and I hate hate." All of the things I listed as the three strikes were the things I've heard over the years.
By the time I was done, I honestly felt hurt deeply inside. I was shaking after I posted the third strike. But then, I saw the support from 15 furries and a couple of non-furries, as well as the musical pick-me-up.
If you thought the negative comments came from the people on Twitter, they did not. I'm very sorry that I have misdirected you. I have a hard time trying to explain things in words, especially after being flustered. But believe it or not, ever since I started school, I've been a victim of bullying, prejustice, and discrimination.
Honestly, I wasn't looking for a pity party. I needed to vent.

When I saw a couple of furries do a "I'm a furry, and I hate..." post, I couldn't help it. I jumped right in with the following:
"Hi, I'm a furry, and I hate hate. Cuz I'm a fox, cuz I'm a babyfur, and cuz I'm gay, I feel I has 3 strikes... :_("
"Strike 1: "You're a fox?! You're a slut! You're always guilty! You'd yiff anything in sight!" :_("
"Strike 2: "You're a babyfur?! Ewwwww! Get your wet stinky diaper away from me! You're a pedophile!" :_("

My heart literally fell. I honestly hurt inside. I was so upset, I couldn't hold my phone steady. But them, more than a dozen furries and a few others stepped in and helped cheer me back up. And as if a sign from god (which I believe it's so), the radio at the coffee bar I was at started playing Monty Python's "Always Look At the Bright Side of Life".
I wasn't looking for a pity party, but I dove in further than I could handle by myself. I'm very thankful for everyone who stepped forward to tell me that they cared for this little foxy.
Maybe I should leave Twitter, for my own sanity...

MFM Roomie Needed

PeachClover, Jimmy, and I are seeking a fourth roomate. We will be at the main hotel, the Whispering Woods Hotel, from Thursday evening til Monday morning! Peach says the rate for four people for four nights is approximately $115 a furry. If this sounds good for you, please contact me privately, and I'll give you Peach's email. He has the room, so he has the say on who can be here. Please keep in mind that this is a cub's room.

WHEN WILL THIS AWEFUL MONTH END?!?!?! (rant warning)
General | Posted 13 years agoSince the beginning of this horrid month, I've have one major issue after another. I'm mad as hell, and I can't take it anymore!
1. I got my finances dinged with a $700 credit card bill! I admit I overcharged my credit card in May, but usually, it will simply decline the card. Instead it allowed the charges, and I got hit with lots of over credit fees! This is why I have not been able to buy art this month from Marc Leonhardt or anyone else. And what's worse is, aside from one friend who said they were down to eating nothing but packaged tuna, I have not been able to help any of my friends, including Ozzie....
2. I hurt my arm!! Mom wanted me to dig her a hole in the front yard to plant an ocatilla plant. This would not be a problem, except that the ground at my house is full of rocks and boulders. After pulling out several large rocks and a small boulder, I git the ocatilla planted. The next morning, my left arm ached badly, probably sprained. It hurts to bend my arm behind my back and in the air, which makes getting dressed and other daily routine things very painful. Ive been munching Excedrine twice a day, and a friend gave me some medicated oil to rub on it.
3. Work is getting so frustrating!!! I've had a coworker critize me about how something was done. Normally, I ignore his junior-high-school level remarks, but he said something that cut me to the bone. I don't want to repeat what he said, but I was ready to beat the living crap out of him. But since I enjoy my work in these despirate financial times, I referred his comment to my supervisor. But now, for a whole week, he has practically ignored me. "If you can't say anything nice..." Tomorrow, we're all supposed to get together, solve our differences, and then move along. Wish me luck with that, please?!
4. I can't sleep!!!! Every night since the start of June, I've been so wired with my frustrations, I have not been able to goto sleep until at least 11PM. This is very bad because I have to wake up at 5:30 AM to be onetime for work... I'm so exhausted.......
5. I need a vacation so badly!!!!! And I'm thinking even a simple 3 or 4 day weekend is not gonna cut it. But of course, I can't afford to go anywhere outside of driving distance. I can't stay home because mom will put me to work doing crap. Ohh god, I'm so tired....
But of course, all of this is minor crap that you may or may not be interested. At least four other furries that are very close to me had deaths in their families or with their friends. Kyousuke the Kitsune had an aweful car wreck (please wish him well), Ozzie the Skunk had kidney stone surgury. I kinda feel ashamed about burdening you with this minor 'wet diaper' junk....

Product Review - Squishy Baff!
General | Posted 13 years agoLast week, I saw a TV ad for a very interesting product called Squishy Baff! It is a powder that turns plain boring bath water into a colored extravengaza of jelly coolness! The four available colors are red, pink, blue, and green!
After seeing some review videos on YouTube, I decided to give this stuff a try. I decided to use two packets, which is the contents of one box. Honestly, for a grown-up sized tub, I think I needed four packets (two boxes) to turn all of the water into jelly. But, even though it wasn't enough, the bath felt really good! I felt all of the jel clumps move around my arms and legs as I moved them through the 'soup'. Before I knew it, I spent 1 1/2 hours taking a very invinigerating bath.
When it was time to get out, I poured in the dissolver, which is table salt. The salt in the box is not nearly enough, so be sure you have one of those boxes of salt handy. After a few minutes, the jel dissolved enough so I could drain and flush it away. Then I took a shower to rinse off and use my soap.
Here are the warnings! Be sure to put the powder in AFTER you full the tub with water. If you don't, the coloring will stain the tub! Don't try to stand in this, because it is very slippery! Make sure you close the shower curtain after you climb in because if you splash any, it gets everywhere and it's hard to clean off the floor.
I whole-heartedly endorse Squishy Baff! It is pricey ($10 a box at Walmart), but what a treat!

General | Posted 13 years agoWell, the vet was able to get the needle out of Mushu's stomach. They did cut open his abdomen, but not his stomach. He is home right now, wearing that stupid cone, a huge patch of shaved fur, and a long line of stitches.

General | Posted 13 years agoWell, like most of teh Furry Internets this weekend, I am going out of town. Unfortunately it is not to a furry con (FWA or Furnal Equinox). I am going to the Starfleet (Star Trek fan club) Regional Conference in Hammond, LA. But at least I will be bringing my tail with me.
