General | Posted 14 years agoMy dear sister gave birth to a healthy baby girl! Evangelina Cali was born at 1:20 this morning, 21 February 2012. She is 7 LB, 10 oz, 20", and already spoiled by two sets of loving grandparents and one silly foxy uncle!

General | Posted 14 years agoWell, it is official! I didn't want to jinx anything by not announcing this sooner. My sister is, at this moment, getting ready to has her third baby!
She has had so many problems between the first two, but this one seems to gone without a hitch! Although it would have been fun to have this baby born on February 29th (original due date was March 1st), it looks like this bun has been bakin long enough. I'll update you all after the baby is born.

I got a copy of the BluRay version on The Secret of NIMH for $10 at Sam's Club today, and reacquainted myself with Mrs. (F)(B)risby and her family, Auntie Shrew, Jeremy, and the Rats of NIMH. even though I haven't seen it in at least 20 years, it was like I never forgotten it!
Back in 1998, I got to goto ConFurence 9 in Orange, CA. One sight nearly brought me to tears - Nicodemas!!! It was Nicodemas, I swear to god it was him! Glowing eyes, warty paws and all!!! I felt like I saw my grampa again after..... Well, you know.
For all you young whiper-snappers put there who has not seen The Secret of NIMH, you must! This was the defining movie for Don Bluth after he quit Disney, which set him up for many other pivotal furry movies, like An American Tale and The Land Before Time.
PS. A fun fact I just discovered - Wil Wheaton (Wesley Crusher) was Martin Brisby, the oldest son.

General | Posted 14 years agoI am at a road block here, and I need some help. I want to goto MFF, and I have a room reserved, but I am going to need 3 roommates to help split da room cost for two nights (Friday night to Sunday afternoon).
Of course, this is even assuming that I will be able to go right now. This will hinge on 1. I can get the time off and 2. I can get the air tickets. If I am not, I am willing to transfer my room to someone who wants it.

In other news, Animal Palnet Toys has released something I have waited quite a while for: the Air Swimmers! These are giant remote controlled mylar balloon fish and sharks they "swim" in the air! The fins move like on real fish and sharks! You can get the Clown Fish (Nemo) and the Great White Shark (Bruce) for $50 each at Toyr R Us! Helium not included. For indoor use only! Honestly, I like it. Although, for the record, I have not been made into a MLP..... yet.
My thoughts on the banner: I think it's funny! FenderBrony has a total "I'm not amused!" expression on his face. Little RednefDraggy has a total "Shoot me now!" expression on his face.
I know folks out there do not like the new My Little Pony, and I respect that. Obviously, just like the Fat Bunnies banner that started last year and returned last month, this one was made to create drama between the lovers and haters of MLP. For the lovers, enjoy it while you can. For the haters, try to ignore it; it'll be gone by Saturday night.
PS. Haters that treaten anyone will be reported for harrassment.
PPS. Enjoyed the first new episode! Even though I couldn't see it in the show's credits, the crown prince troublemaker of Star Trek, John De Lance (Q), is Discord! That's the second STNG personality on this show! Who's next, Patrick Stewart as the King of Ponyville?
