Redtail Who?, aka the Four Redtails or Who Wants a Commissio

Who wants to make some money?
I'm budgeting off eighty dollars for a commission of most excellent proportions.
But you're only gonna get 20 bucks.
You see, its occurred to me of all the primary fursonas I've ever had, 4 of them have been Redtail, 3 of them have been Ken Redtail.
In a way, I've been quite the furry Dr. Who, it seems.
So what I'm looking for is a reunion called the Four Redtail's. The remarkable thing is I want 4 seperate artists to collaborate on this. Like an artist's jam. Certain priorities have been set for certain artists if they want to take place, but otherwise, its whoever thinks they can best render any of my characters.
The Four Redtail's are:
The First Redtail is Chakat Redtail, a semi-attractive calico chakat with blue eyes and blonde hair in a ponytail. Shi has a rust iron red tail and flanks as if she sat down in a bucket of paint.
The Second Redtail is a kitsune. Keeping the same blue eyes and ponytailed dark blonde hair, this three tail has a very nature-theme to his wardrobe and accessories. He is almost always barechested to expose his intricate tribal-like tattoos in his fur along his arms and chest and even face. For examples, consult Nightcrawler's tattoos from X-Men 2, but if you have trouble with that, it seems Illidian has the same kind of thing going on.
Third Redtail is a standard anthro me. The one and only you all love.
Fourth Redtail is a dragon. The dragon has fox markings and the same blue and blonde hair tied back into the ponytail. He also wears a scarf, evocative of the Doctor of the same number.
Let me know who's interested and who you think you can do.

Mom update
General | Posted 18 years agoI forgot to update here, I'm really sorry, I'm sure a lot of you have been waiting for news, so for those of you keeping track and keeping her in your varied prayers to your varied deities, I'd like to share with you that my mother, known in the fandom as Karee Bunda, finished her radiation treatments about a month or so ago.
Her hair is making a comeback slowly but surely and is about an inch or so long. Her skin is still a rosy color from all the radiation treatments and my dad and I are making sure it doesn't turn green, just in case the gamma levels were too high. ;)
Thanks to all the members of the furry fandom who pulled together to send some cheer her way.
There were many numerous artists, including the MFF 2007 Guests of Honor, who contributed to many pages of the scrapbook, which was presented to her shortly before MFF.
Others provided paintings, bracelets, hats, custom plushies, sock monsters, one person even wrote a song for her!
I haven't had an opportunity to upload everything yet to her gallery, but you can view samples of some of the wonderful contributions!

A Special Request for My Artist Friends out there...
General | Posted 18 years agoI'm looking for some artists of kind spirit to do a friend a favor.
As most of you know, my mother has been enduring breast cancer for the past several months. The staggering amount of medication ($900 a tiny shot!) needed to treat this cancer through chemotherapy has taken its toll on her. Her beautiful hair has now fallen out, reduced to wisps. Her beautiful eyes are puffy and teary-eyed all the time. She's become thin, frail and pale. On top of that, she severely injured her toe recently, needing to put her foot in a cast boot.
Needless to say, she's not in the brightest of spirits, tears flowing easily and often.
She's not doing well. In fact, she's quite depressed.
So I'm asking those of my friends out there with artistic talent if you could spare a thought and a doodle, sketch, full art piece if you dare, to cheer her up and lift her spirits and show her that she's not alone. We're with her.
harliraver just commented this morning how she respects how the fandom gathers around their own. I'm asking you if this is true.
Now, some of you are professionals and I respect that. If you absolutely require money, contact me and we'll come to an arrangement or something. Note, I'm not really big on the money right now either, so please don't extort me! :D

This is her fursona. It's a panda/rabbit hybrid. I think what would be neat is if there was some sort of pink involved, as pink is the color for breast cancer awareness. You all are great.

My life as a clothey by My Dog
General | Posted 18 years agoI thought I was alone in this. Ever since I was born I felt I was different. I never fitted in when I was at doggie school. I was picked on by all the other dogs for not licking my balls and for passing up a tin of pedigree chum for a pizza. Things really came to a head though when I decided I could no longer take a dump in public. While all the other dogs were squeezing one out in the park, I was at home, trying to raise my posteria over the toilet. I thought I was the only one like this, until I discovered this word "clothey". I was watching tv one day and there was a news article about a dog who wouldn't go out in public without a t shirt on. Suddenly I knew I wasn't alone and there was at least one other who understood. I decided to look on the interwebs to try and find like minded dogs. I found a whole myriad of dogs like me and they called themselves clotheys. Dogs who love putting on human clothes, strutting their stuff and forgetting that they don't have opposable thumbs or a tail. For the first time in my 42 doggie years I felt I belonged!
My first meet was interesting. I was nervous at first. I'd heard that some of the other clotheys can be a little gruff. But thankfully everyone was friendly. We started off down the park together, some of the clothes suits were awesome, from full T shirt and Jean get ups to one (Fido, AKA Big Dave) who wore a complete post man's outfit. I was a little under dressed at the time as all I had was a pair of sunglasses, but everyone welcomed me with open paws (Or should I say hands LOL). After we'd had some fun and frolics Big Dave invited me back to his place. He explained about all these different clotheys around the world. He told me all about the seedier side of the fandom. Apparently some clotheys like to "yessss" which means having sex in a clothes suit. It's called yesyes because supposidly that's the noise humans make when they do it. He also showed me some clothey art, They were such cute pictures, although some of it was yesssssy art which at first disturbed me.
The fandom has it's own words for many things, usually related to the real word for it or else it's the noise a human makes when they do it. A few examples
Scratching one another is called "alittlelowerthatsthebastardhellyesing"
Some clotheys have fantasies of working for a living. That's known as "bore"
Myself I consider to be a "clothes shifter" which basically means I feel I'm not a dog inside, I'm a human and I can metamorphasise between the two easily. Big Dave (who's now my partner) says he is Therithing. This means he feels he's got a spiritual connection with humans.
Like I say I've found myself finally and I love being a clothey.

rayvenwolffe suggested that the best way to ramp up my page views is to start hiding my artwork behind thumbnails that says CUB PORNZ AHEAD!So here's my idea to be a sneaky bastard.
I challenge you to draw a picture about cub sex.
Still with me? Good. This is what the subject will ACTUALLY be. Mama Furry has just given birth, Dr. Furry is holding up the baby and saying congratulations, it's a___!
And there you will have the cub's sex!
Alternatively, you can draw Mama Furry hooked up to the ultrasound and Doc telling her that way.
But it has to be under a thumbnail teasing people that it's about cub sex.

Harli is taking commissions and is willing to sell her belongings to aquire enough money to get Luci the treatment she needs. Having once dated a veterinary tech and known a number since, I know these procedures aren't cheap.

General | Posted 18 years agoSo I thought I'd take a spin in this journal and see what comes out of this.
If you want to read my real thoughts, go ahead and read my LJ. That's what it's there for.
So artistic musings... if you haven't noticed most of my recent art is pen on coloured paper. Which happen to be post-it notes. Not the best medium, but beggars can't be choosers, eh?
So I gave a spin on my idea of having newspaper icons. I drew Vixxie one because if I ever do something like that, Vixxie is always first in line.
I also drew one for Sono. I have further in mind, including Anjel and Sorandra, because they were so awesome in standing up for me. I may even charge like a buck for an icon eventually because my art isn't worth money. Honestly.
Except I really want to buckle down and offer up something for MFF's art auction. Maybe someone will actually BID on it. I have to get back into the groove though. Which means pencils and taking my time. And doing something serious, something I haven't done in ages. I gotta shake the toony style so I don't get mired in it if I haven't already.
If I put something into the auction, will you bid on it? If it doesn't sell and I put it on Furbid, would you bid for it?
I dream of having this bid war going on like the one at RCFM for the Dragon's Flagon or Anime Cat's piece.
Maybe one day.
