Need some help here.
Posted 14 years agoDear readers, I am now sitting on my grandmothers computer, which has cabless internet, due to my main PC having been under the accident of having lightning strike on it.
Was sitting on my pc, finish some stuff as the lightning storm was moving onto my house. Before I could finish my work, Lightning struck and a loud pop came, PC froze and I had to cut the power, as it wouldn't react. When I turned it back on, it was functioning properly, but the internet cable would not transmit.
So I turned all of it off, for so to go and take a nap to see if it only was a temporarily problem, sadly, I was wrong.
For now, I am borrowing my grand mother's PC. But I need a solution to my current problem, as I believe the problem I am facing is due to my ethernet port has been fried.
Will I have to replace the whole motherboard, or can I get some sort of USB to CAT5/6 cable adapter for it to work?
Or am I...quite bluntly put, fucked?
Any help is appreciated.

I bought Mauricio COD BO. And Escalation.
Cost me 75 Euros! And up on that, steam had problems at first with sending the games! But yea....never a dull moment with Steam!
So now, I got a sister with a firearm that chases me in Blackops.
Guess it was for the best, since now I got a team mate, I thiiiiiink. >_>
This is the chick I am talking about if you don't know 'er.

Posted 14 years agoWell, I've been knee deep in thinking as of lately, me being a gamer extraordinare, or atleast a gamer, hopefully. Well, back to the case.
I've been trying out a few games lately, testing out graphics and performance, but seemingly, I need more ram!
Every time I buy a new pc, it is always unfing stuck on bloody 2.5 GIG!
Lagging like fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu in APB:Reloaded, and I can't even play Dragon Age 2 on high. -.-
This is just unfair, seemingly everyone else having -more- ram than me.
And now I've gone and ranted. .
Enough.
What I was meaning to say here is that, many people with new, high tech pc's that came out last night think they are gamers, like many of us are.
But what they all lack is the most important thing.
A gamer's heart and soul. You don't just become a gamer over night beacuse you have a good pc. You need to be able to know how gamers think, act and are.
The common people think that if they have a fancy computer and a few games, they are rock on hardcore gamers. . .
What little do they know, that it takes more than just that.
Anyways, enough of this.
I hope I made any sense to you people.
