A bit of a rant here. Something that's been on my mind and I'd like to read what other's think.

So... I've never really had the desire to start drinking. I've had drinks in the past just to try, but recently I've decided to completely turn away from it. I don't like what it does to people as I've had negative experiences at home with my brothers becoming out of control, and even at conventions with friends where it seems like alcohol is always in the middle of the drama. I always have friends telling me that it's not alcohol's fault, but the people who drink it. However, you never really know how it will affect you once you start drinking. You lose your sense of control. You make decisions that you otherwise wouldn't have made if you were sober.

The problem is, I feel like a lot friends don't really respect my decision of not drinking. Every con I go to, I always have multiple people asking why I don't drink and that I should loosen up a bit. Even friends who know I don't drink still offer me alcohol. It's like I can't get away from it anymore. It makes me feel like I'm too dull to be around when I'm sober and that I'd be more fun if I were drunk or at least buzzed. One night at FCN2013, I got really annoyed and upset that I ended up going to bed early that night.

A part of me inside wants to start drinking so that I'll loosen up and my friends will enjoy being around me. I feel like I'm not really wanted but at the same time, I'm not an annoyance to the group so they're okay with me being there. On the other hand, I want to stay true to myself and not give into peer pressure. I feel like people will respect me more in that case.

What do you think? Do I need to loosen up a bit?

Couple of things I want to update you guys on, if anyone is actually reading this.

First of all, I want to move out. It's been something I've wanted to do for a while now because I'm unhappy with my living environment. Too many people live here, my mom is having trouble supporting all of us, and I find it stressful going to conventions just because I don't have the nerves to explain what this fandom is about to my family. I'm sick of lying.

I want to accomplish this as soon as possible. If any locals are looking for a roommate within the next couple of months, please e-mail me. (kevinmunro2006@hotmail.com) Please don't text me because I barely keep my phone charged, on me, or active (it's prepaid xD).

Second of all, I'm going back to working 30+ hours or full-time (still need to talk to my NEW manager) so I won't be going back to school after the holidays. I wasn't happy in my program which is why I stopped going (Oh yeah, never mentioned that).

The environment was too fast-paced for me (I'm really slow, mentally), and honestly even though I love to cook, I have no passion to be a chef, whatsoever. I was skeptical going into the program, even a year before, but I took the program purely out of expectation from family. I don't know what I want to do as a career at the moment. To be honest, I don't really give a shit as bad as that sounds.

I hope all of you enjoy the holidays! I won't be celebrating much this year other than a turkey dinner with family.

A lot of good memories, but I felt really bored at some moments.

Handling a fursuit was not as fun as I thought it'd be. It just made me super jelly. I enjoyed hanging out with way more when he was out of suit, which is why AC was better in my opinion.

Had a good time celebrating 's birthday at Red Lobster, also watched his performance at the variety shoe. He has a really good singing voice. x3

Seriously, I want a fursuit more than ever now. FCN might be my next convention. Depends. If I have to skip FCN to have my fursuit for AC, I'mma do it. x3 Honestly, I couldn't do AC without a fursuit. I'd be bored to death!

Also, it was my first time flying. It was very stressful but I feel like I'd have no problem flying again in the future.

My flight was derpy. I wanted to fly to Grand Rapids first, to hang out with Ghimno the day before MFF, but the cheapest flight was a connection in Chicago. So I've spend the last week going back and fourth. I switched time zones 6 times, and flew over Lake Michigan 4 times. xD

Gosh! I haven't written a journal in 3 months, which is funny 'cause I check FA daily!

After Anthrocon, life got pretty boring, slow, and to be honest, terrible! Spent the entire summer pretty much working, weather was absolutely brutal, no A/C, insomnia, stress, and health issues.

The only awesome things that happened over the summer were, another season of my favourite show Big Brother (and didn't suck like the last two seasons), and my bested buddy Ghimbro got his fursuit. Can't wait to snuggle with him at MFF. Speaking of MFF, I'm so excited! Gonna spend a day at Ghim's place before heading off to Chi-town. ^_^

In other news, I started college. It was a bit over-whelming at first but I've found my way around campus. I'm in a chef training program and classes are awesome so far, except for the ones that AREN'T in the kitchen. Worst day of the week is Friday. I start class at 8AM and none of the classes that day involve cooking/baking whatsoever. I say FMLIF! Fuck My Life, It's Friday!

But yeah, that's it. Pretty boring stuff, I know. x3
