Crazy Nostagia right now!!

I have it off and I got nothing planned as of yet. :o

I got my room situation figured out. The only thing left to worry about is transportation. If anyfurs in Ottawa/Toronto are attending FCN and can drive me to FCN, (I'll be busing to Toronto if necessary) that'd be really appreciated. Otherwise, I'll be sitting in scary Detroit for 5 hours waiting for a transfer bus. :S

It's almost Christmas and I'm not as excited as I was in previous years. It's probably for these reasons:

1) My Grandfather has been in the hospital for the last week or so. Doctor said he has two weeks to live. Nobody in my family is in the Christmas spirit right now.

2) My family is pretty much falling apart. So much drama lately.

3) I work Christmas Eve and Boxing Day.

4) As an Atheist, I don't like the reason for Christmas. Of course, I think it's really about spending time with family and friends but it's still a religious holiday and I feel weird celebrating it.

Pretty much, my Christmas is gonna be "meh" this year. Although, I did have fun shopping around yesterday with a few local furries. :)

I'd just like to take the time to thank all of my friends in the fandom. I know I don't see or talk to any of you that much, and when I do I can be really boring and quiet... Believe me, I'm really trying hard to break out of my shell. I really appreciate that all of you haven't completely lost interest in me from the moment we met. :)

Nope, it's not Furnal Equinox. Planning on attending FCN in Michigan and rooming with a few buddies from there.  Ghimno and  Seriman x3

Out of curiosity, anyone else from Ottawa going? I don't think anyone last year did. :/

I left Ottawa Wednesday afternoon with  Oatz  munkybizniss  EmpireWolf  featheredragon and  foxykin. Stopped by  FirestormSix's place and just chilled, watched tv for a few hours. We got back onto the road at midnight.




Arrived at the hotel on Thursday at about 11AM. When I got to my room, I took a nap. I didn't sleep much during the drive. xD I vaguely remember what I did for the rest of the day. I know I waited in line to get my con badge. Fun (not really). I think we had Giordano's that night. xD SOOOO GOOD but really filling. One slice is more than enough. xD




On Friday, I said hi to  Skroy  FirestormSix and  howiepup. Missed a bit of the opening ceremony, but it was nothing special. Waited in line for the dealer's den. My friends wanted first pick at BadDragon toys. xD I looked around elsewhere for a while. Wasn't really interested in anything, no offense to the dealers. But that's where I met  WolfpupTK :D I know I went to someone else's room and chilled there for a bit. There I met up with  Komm-Wolfgang who I haven't seen in a long time. I went to the dance try-outs to attempt to get my badge from  JD_Puppy but things got a little awkward with one of my friends so I decided to get it another time. That's when I met  Duskwhitewolf xD A lot of other stuff happened that night. Can't remember it that well.




Don't remember much from Saturday. Watched the fursuit parade and then attempted to find my badge again. With help from  kodi_pup I finally got a hold of  JD_Puppy and got my badge. :D It got so many compliments. It's so cute. ^_^ Went back to my room, where the "Privacy" sign was hanging. Yeah... so I went back down stairs and immediately found  munkybizniss and  EmpireWolf and then seconds later,  Foxykin pops out of nowhere. Lmao! I found it funny how we all somehow met up at the same place near almost the same time. xD Foxykin and I went to the variety show but first, he had to check the Art Auction. As I'm waiting outside, a random furry started talking to me but then when I saw his badge, I realized it wasn't a random furry, it was  Wolfpuptk. That was funny. xD I didn't recognize him out of suit. I went to the Variety Show, but had to ditch Foxykin (sorry) to go to the G-Shep Photo shoot. SOOOOO MANY SHEPPIES!!!! <3 Attempted to take a good picture but with the bad angle and dim lighting, didn't turn out that well. :/ Was gonna go to the dance that night but  featheredragon dragged us to a charity show featuring 2 the Ranting Gryphon and Uncle Kage. LMAO! Was there for 2 and 1/2 hours, I think. xD It was hilarious.




Sunday was favourite day! Went to the Fursuit Dance Competition by myself. *sadface* I saw some awesome performances. :D Met up again with Komm-Wolfgang followed by random elevator snugs with Bitshep. x3 Then, the best fucking part of the day, Cenny wearing munkybizniss's fursuit. So much lulz. I don't care if it might be offensive, his Hispanic accent is fucking hilarious. We went outside for a while and I froze my nuts off because I'm all bones. xD Luckily, lavshep and howiepup were there to keep me warm. :3 Afterwards, more Giordano's. NOM NOM NOM!! I accidentally dropped a box on the floor. Only one slice inside, thankfully. But the expression on my face was apparently hilarious. xD On the way back to my room, I came across Skroy while he was drunk. xD Cenny got back into Mat's fursuit and more hilarity ensued. xD We came across JoeySparkz who I first thought was just very energetic, but he was drunk. Got an awesome hug from him. x3 Went to Deaddog and hardly any people were there. I actually started dancing a bit because before I was too shy. :/ Then when I got back to my room, it hit me... we were going back home the next day. :( Cenny was staying up because he had a flight back to BC so I stayed up with him for a few hours. We hung out at the con suite with AMWULF and Yonoa. There was a unofficial deaddog parade and we were in it. xD We carried these hilarious pictures drawn by AMWULF. xD Then I went to bed at like... 4 in the morning. x_x

The next day we left at like... 11AM. I was really depressed. Post-Con Depression is the worst feeling ever. :( But it makes me want to go to another con even sooner. I'm gonna miss the hotel a lot, but all the people I met there even more! There were a couple of furries I didn't get a chance to meet, which makes me even more *sadface* but maybe I'll meet them at another con. I'm definitely coming back to MFF next year. :)

I had such a fantastic time and I really want to go back next year. It was a huge step in my life because it was my very first furry convention ever and I've also never traveled this far without my family. I definitely want to attend more cons in the future. Possibly FCN, but definitely AC. :D

This whole thing is causing me stress. Financially, I'm okay. I can definitely afford it. That's not the issue.

I feel like I'm running out of time to get my passport. I lost my Health card, which is my only government-issued ID. So now I have to wait to get that before I can submit my application. It's gonna take weeks. What if they lose it in the mail?

To make things worse, my mom is getting all uptight about it (being the youngest and all). And once my brothers know, they're going to be asking their questions too. I can't stand when people are in my business, I'm a very VERY solitary person.

I wish I could just be at the convention right now and get pass all this preparation bullshit. Finding roommates and transportation was stressful enough. Now I have to deal with this bullshit. -__-

Nothing much is happening in my life right now. The one thing I'm looking forward to is MFF. It's gonna be my first furry convention. I've wanted to go to a furry convention for a while now and I'm glad things are finally coming together. I finally found a roommate that is 100% going to MFF and can drive me from Ottawa to the convention center. This has made me feel less stressed about the con. Thanks  Oatz :D Now I just need to get a passport. :/

So I've doing some serious thinking and I've talked with my mom about it and she's okay with it. I'm planning on withdrawing from my current college program and taking a year off.

I've made this decision for a few reasons:

1) I need a break from education. I've gone to school for 12 years and I'm really sick of teachers, classrooms, and homework.

2) Financially, I'm not stable enough for all the cooking equipment and books I'll need. There's A LOT I'll need.

3) I have enough time to focus on my career. I'm still very young. I kinda just want to enjoy myself right now.

4) I feel like I CAN'T spend my hard-earned money freely because "It's for college".

5) I don't need to go to school right now to continue learning how to cook. Most of what I know now was through self-directed learning.

MAKE ME FEEL SPECIAL! :D

Internet was down for a week. We were switching modems last Wednesday and our ISP made a huge fail. I don't feel like explaining what exactly happened, I'm just glad to be back online. xD

Yeah... since the last time I posted I've had no luck. I need to continue trying to look for a roommate. At one point, I kinda just lost hope and convinced myself I wasn't going this year. But I really don't want to miss out.

A few things about me:
- I'm a con virgin, so it'll be a very new experience for me.
- I'll be 18 by the time of the convention.
- I don't mind sleeping on the floor. I'll bring a sleeping bag or something.
- I'm VERY quiet. xD
- I'm coming from Ottawa, Ontario.
- I'm comfortable rooming with suiters.
- I'm comfortable rooming with smokers.
- I don't mind parties in the room.
- I'd rather room with someone closer to my age. (16 - 25) If at least one person in that group is in that age range, then it's absolutely fine.
- Of course I'd rather room with someone I've met before but that's probably not going to be the case. I'll deal with it. xD
- In general, I'm very easy going.
- I'm desperate.

I'm hoping to find people who ALREADY have a room. I don't want to book a room myself and end up having my roommate back out at the last and make me pay for the whole room myself. And again, I'm new so I'm not used of the whole process.

July 30th is my birthday. What am I planning on doing?! Nothing.

Where I live when you turn 18, the first thing people do is cross the Quebec border and get wasted at a bar, because the legal drinking age in that province is 18. It's like a rite of passage almost.

I don't get it because most teens these days drink underage before their 18th birthday anyway.

I've drank before but not to get wasted. If I'm drinking any alcoholic beverage, it's because I like the taste. Same reason I drink energy drinks actually, for the taste not for the caffeine.

Getting drunk is overrated. July 30th is a Saturday anyway so I'm probably working.

I know it's 5 months away but I still need a room for the con. I'm obviously the type of person who needs to be organized and have everything planned way ahead of time. May also be because it's my first con. xD

I'm calculating my expenses and I don't want to assume that I'll only pay $31 a night. Could be more, way more, or less, depending on how many others are sharing the room. (NOTE: I don't mind AT ALL sleeping on the floor. I'll survive. xD)

Transportation is another thing. Greyhound is $190 for a round trip. I'm also not comfortable traveling alone out of the country. If anyone in Ottawa is driving there or is simply passing through Ottawa and has room in their vehicle, I'd really appreciate it. It'll save me a ton. Of course, I'll split on gas expenses.

Again, I've never been to a con (especially one out of the country) and I kinda need someone to hold my hand. xD Note me or comment below if you can help. <3333333
