It's been a hot minute since showing any sort of activity on here, hasn't it? Yeah I got lost in the Twitter loop. Don't get me wrong, I'm still going to be on there despite current developments, but I found it such a hassle when it comes to sharing content in an organized manner. It simply isn't possible!

Hello everyone!

Welcome to 2021. I hope this year will be a lot better for all of you than, you know, that other year.

Undoubtly you might have noticed I haven't posted to FA in a while. I am aware of this, as I find myself kinda lurking here. My activity has moved more towards Twitter: https://twitter.com/thekhaeldragon.

I still plan to update this page some time, have some proper content going. But what keeps me back is motivation in terms of producing art and some general things that keep me preoccupied IRL. Time just tends to fly fast again.

Hello everyone!

I hope you are all feeling well and having a good time out there.

A little follow up about me from last time.

RELIEF.

I landed a new job and am super excited about it! There's still some work to be done but things are looking up! I worked pretty hard to get to that spot, and I didn't even think it would work out, but I breezed through the assessments so who knows, maybe I have more in me than I thught!

I'm still a little slow on the art side. There were some -massive- frustrations due to technical reasons a few days back, so I ended up reinstalling Windows to fix it once and for all. Luckily, it worked! There are a few ideas floating in my head and some sketches that I have laying around that need to get worked on. Something something big things, as usual... Heck, I haven't done a proper vore pic in a while though, have I? I should combine that.

That's right, I have one of those too now! I consider it a tip jar place of sorts, a place where you can show your support for the works I do. It's intended to be an extension of what I already do on here, so you won't miss out on any regular content! The tiers will give a bit more insight.

I'm still learning how to efficiently use it, though. Not to mention I'm just slow right now.
I put up some free examples today (for usually locked content) that is available to everyone! Think free PSD file and true resolution stuff.

Hey everyone!

Hope all is well for you guys out there. I thought it might be time for a small update, so you all know what's up.

STRESS. AGONY. UNCERTAINTIES. EMOTIONAL CONFLICTS. FEELS. AAAAAAA--

But really! I've been trying to keep up the weekly drawings but recently I am just so tired out with all the things that are going on, on this end. I just can't keep up anymore. I just come home late and be tired as fuck, apathetic almost. So from now I'll post whenever I have something to post. Which is still on a more regular basis, so I'm happy with that.

The past few months have just proven to be heavy on me, and the upcoming months will continue to be so, I'm afraid. If not tougher. Just know I'll try and keep things together on my end.

Hey everyone!

All the best wishes for the New Year!

In an attempt to really push myself out of the art block and whatnot, I gave myself a goal of posting one image a week. It can be a sketch, it can be a full image, etc. Just.. something!

So that's 52 drawings this year... Yikes. I hope I can stick to the plan, though. And hopefully this will keep me active and posting again. It's been way too long since I showed you guys anything! Since, well, I -kinda- skipped all of 2017..?

With that being said, hope life is treating you well! You guys are the best for being so patient with me~

Who's up for some cake!

Words cannot describe what an incredible experience EF22 turned out to be. For a first time visit, I’d say this one went quite well!

Together with  talrion, the adventure began on Wednesday. It was great meeting him for the first time in person. I liked him straight away! Which I didn’t doubt since we’ve known eachother for so long. After figuring out the public transport network, we’ve got to our hotel. Man, that was quality. Our own TV, fridge, heater, bath tub.. To think that just a day prior we did consider a cheaper alternative in the form of a hostel, closer to the convention. Glad we didn’t! Once unpacked we went straight up to the convention at the Estrel hotel, where we spent pretty much the rest of our day.

Man, the many faces we met. Some familiar, most of them new…

One of the people I’ve been absolutely dying to meet was  teren. And boy, what a great guy he is! I just cannot find the words to explain how much of a fun, gentle and kind-hearted person he is. We had a lot of fun together over the days, along with his friends that I was introduced to. Friends like  cirez,  dreamandnightmare, and many many more! I have a terrible memory with names, so I won’t try to make myself look too much of an idiot.

Some of the true highlights was the vore meet and the macro meet. Of course I just –had- to go to those events. Familiar faces like  rogue and  famis (first time I saw him in suit!) where there, but also a lot of other familiar and new names. the way, speaking of famis, that was just –so- much fun when I saw him again IRL. What an energy! Other guys like  dcuk and  tomthedragon87 have also proven to be excellent company. There are just so many names to mention, though…

In between the convention, me and talrion obviously had to visit Berlin and do our job like proper tourists and take photos of various things. Berlin is absolutely a marvellous city to loose yourself in (which we kinda did once). We learned a great detail about the city’s history, as well as the country’s history. There are just so many things to see and do. Kinda wish we took more vacation days there, prior to the convention, and explore the capital in more depth.

So a common question asked to me is: will I attend EuroFurence next year again?

That’s a maybe! I had such a blast and there is plenty reasons to go back. On the other side, there are many more conventions I have not yet visited but would still like to! For now, I just have to wait and see what my options are.


To summarize. Guys. EuroFurence is absolutely fantastic. You guys really gave me a weekend to remember. There're so many creative, fun and engaging people out there.. I really loved it. Thank you all oh so much for making this a wonderful experience ~

Hey everyone!

It's been a while since I did an update on here. So let's do a quick break down.

My well being improved again these past few months after a very rough and difficult start of the year. After two family losses and some other not so fun turn of events that left me somewhat shattered, I think I've got myself together again. Because of such times, my art motivation took quite a blow and suffered greatly. I tried on various occasions to break through the block and get my head back in the game. Only until recently, I felt like I have what it takes again to tackle those remaining commissions on my to-do list that have been on there way too long. My sincere apologies for letting you guys wait so long!

In other news, I'm going to attend Eurofurence 22 in Berlin. Yep, that's right. I'm going to show my face there for the weekend. I'll be staying at a different hotel close by, however. But hey, if you want to meet up with me, find the guy with the funny dutch accent and potatoe face. That'll be me! It's going to be my first time to both Berlin and the convention, so I'm quite thrilled about some of the people I know I will meet up. Surely it'll be a much needed positive experience!

In other news, I also have a Discord now. I'm thinking of creating a channel you can visit whenever you wanna chat with me or share things with others. Still getting used to the program though! To be continued.

Lastly. Happy Vore Day!
Like the previous year, I do want to make something large again. This time I'm aiming for something to cross off my bucket list: a POV vore experience with POV limbs with a macro anthromorphic Khael. With my holidays coming up, I hope to combine this comic together with the remaining commissions. Most likely after my visit to Berlin.

Aahh, it's nice to feel positive in life again~

Picking up life again one day at a time.

Here's an interesting realisation I had this morning: Khael's "birthday" is currently about.
His first appearance, as a western dragon character (on deviantart), was made during the Easter holidays of 2007 ... in which he ate the Easter bunny.

His very first victim I suppose! Maybe someone left Khael's egg in the Easter bunny's bag. His origins are still a complete mystery!

Anyway, hope you guys are having a great holiday!

For the amount of support I received, in the form of messages, comments, notes, tweets, etc., I've never imagined getting such a kind of incredible reachout. I wish to thank you all deeply for that~

It was a difficult, emotionally exhausting journey, but I helped carrying my father all the way to the end. His ashes will be returned to earth when the time is there.
For now, I can wind down again. So much work went into the preparations. But now I can attempt picking up my life again~

Me and my dad, we.. were quite different. Whilst being a wonderful father during my early childhood, he took a different path and around my 20s abandoned his family and my mother, in search for luck elsewhere. Something that was very difficult for me, I despised him and really felt I had no father anymore. However. The past few years he reached back out to me and my sister, especially after he became a grandfather. We reconnected. We started having father-son moments again. It still wasn't easy but it was good. I liked him again.

The night before the ceremony, I sat by his coffin for a while. Alone, with him. The grim realisation that this will be our last father-son time together.

Half a year ago, I still had a grandfather and a father above me. Now there's just me, whilst not even in my 30s yet.

It's still so surreal~ This will take some healing time.

Rather than rambling on, I'll cut it short here.

Again, my deepest appreciation goes out to those to you who held me in your thoughts, stay awesome everyone~

I'm usually not one to write sad journals or keep them to a minimum. This one I want to share, however.

Yesterday, was quite possibly the worst day of my life. I had to say my final goodbyes to my father.

There was already a history of hospital visits and surgeries the last few years. Basically due to issues getting his blood pumped properly. Two weeks ago he was rushed into hospital again; his right leg no longer received any blood.

During those two weeks that he stayed at the hospital, me and my family saw him exactly how he always was. Mischievous, funny. He was doing well, but we knew there was a time bomb going on below the surface. The night before the next major surgery, we just had a good time together, and I never thought I'd take the last photo of him. The surgery didn't work out. Another surgery the next day. But it was too much. His body couldn't sustain himself any longer without all those wires and machines stacked around him.

So.. we said goodbye.. and we let him go..

I'll remember him best the way he was during those final two weeks. Never saw him so vibrant and involved.


Three months ago, another male role model passed away (which is why I wrote that "brief art hiatus" journal), my only grandfather I ever had. I slowly have to come to terms now that I'm "the adult", or "the man", as we say in our country.

This all will take some time to process. I think the reason I write this journal, is because it's part of the grieving process. I just -have- to write this down now.

Well, things didn't go as expected!

Got hit with quite an art block, and it took some time to realise that that's what's been holding me back. Might as well call it by its name.
Ah well, it's like an annual thing. It comes and goes every now and then. Usually for a couple of weeks. And then from one moment to the other I spit out art like a mad man again.

So apologies to my commissioners for the delay due to this annoying set back! But I certainly did not forget about you guys. Just bear with me ~

Okay, in an attempt to get myself organized, I made an overview that you can view following this link:

This is where I'll list any potential commissioners from now on. You can apply for a commission by noting me and I'll add you to the list.

Please write a clear description in your note what you'd like to see along with a link to your reference sheet.

When I start on a new project, I'll randomly select someone from the queue, review the initial request, check if you're still interested, and carry out the drawing.

The downside of this, is that it'll probably take a long time before it's your turn. Like, really, a long long time. Months! Maybe years (hopefully not)! I'm not a fast drawer, so if you're looking for an image that has to be completed within a certain time frame, this is not for you.

As a final note, please realise I hold the right to turn down your commission. Being on the list doesn't automatically result in a piece. If upon reviewing I find the commission not to my taste, I'll inform you about it !

My greatest concern is not being able to deliver, in the end.

After having done two livestream commission raffles, from which I learned alot, I think I can finally say I'm going to do semi-regular commissions again.

I always hated not being able to give the same chances to everyone, what with "first come first serve" and these raffles (which did make it alot more entertaining). So I'm still working on a plan to make it more managable.

I hate working with lists, still. And a large one always demotivated me. Kinda kills the creativity and freedom, somehow. I don't know. Creativity is something that comes and goes in phases with me. Currently I'm at a low phase again (two weeks ago I could spit out an image daily, and have), so bear with me when it comes to time.

Also, please poke me if you feel we need to talk business. There've been many people before asking me if I'm open for commissions...

Perhaps I'll put up a more "official" journal later.

With that being said, I feel the need to update my page and perhaps clear out a few things here and there. There's also the notion of my alternative account, which has grown eerily quiet. Man, I just don't update my journals, do I? Mostly because there isn't all that much for me to talk about! While I'm horrible at being social on here, I've been trying to get a little more out there. Especially returning comments. I love receiving them after all!

Perhaps I should do an open FAQ or something like that, should people have any questions about me, my art, my creations, etc. Not that you can't ask already!
