Ha! Finally a reason to update my journal!

It's mah b0rpday today. Hide your children.

Decided to hold off from posting a journal, but yes, I also opened an account on Weasyl.

BUT! It's not gonna be a seperate account as I've used here. Instead I will merge my art together on my 'primary' WinterBlueArt account.

With the introduction of folders and character pages, I can easily seperate the two forms of interests and gather them in one place. I will still maintain FA, ofcourse!

Okay. I know this journal is late. As in, really late. Things have happened ever since I went to the United States and back again for my break!

I'll start with the boring personal life things first. I was living off 64kb/s internet off my phone because when I got back home, the internet was gone. GONE! D: But now everything is back in working order.

Secondly, for those who I told about, I passed my presentation. I DID IT! I finished a half year's amount of work and got graded with the equivalent of an A! That's a pretty darn good score and it even surprised me. So what does this mean? It means I'm just about done with my education and will have my bachelor's degree in Applied Psychology. Psyched!

Third, and this is what I originally tended to write about, my holidays. How to describe it? Easy: it was AWESOME.

I have absolutely zero regrets of the entire experience, especially attending Further Confusion 2013. The people I met? Way too many to list, all of you guys are truly awesome. I thought of listing names, but I always have the fear of missing out on people. YOU ARE ALL TOO AWESOME. I absolutely loved sitting down with artists and talk in the Dealer's Room and meet up with my inspirations. Also the people I knew off the internet, the roleplaying scene, so many amazing people. It was a blast, I really feel content and honoured and genuinly amazed how open and approachable everybody is.

So, I have been having a great time in the States so far. But now comes the time to attend Further Confusion!

Aaaalright, when I look at my watch, I should arrive in Philadelphia tomorrow in.. pretty much exactly 24 hours.

It's time for me to take a holiday, a much needed one, and I'm returning to the USA to spent it! It's been over three years since I've been to that part of the world, so I'm curious how much has changed since.

First, I'll hit up Pennsylvania area to laze around at micksam7's place, who will practically be my travel buddy for the rest of the way.

Later on, I'll head over to California, where byzil and hypnoticdragon will take me in for the remainder period, which will have its finale attending FurtherConfusion 2013 in San Jose. I will be staying at the very hotel, rooming with shadowkeeper and friends.

After the FC weekend, it's back to Europe, do my bachelor thesis' oral defense (a tight schedule it is!) and a few weeks later should finish my degree.

Oof, January's gonna be a month to never forget. Unless booze is heavily involved, that might have dire consequences. Still looking forward to all of the above!

Now to sign off early, catch my sleep, and hope customs won't be an issue at Philadelphia tomorrow late~!

Alright, I'm back in the game!

Pains are thankfully gone so I can actively participated online again without feeling dreaded with toothaches, headaches and (neck)muscle pains.

So return back to your homes! It isn't safe outside any longer. The dragon is loose again~

Currently on hiatus, already have been for the past few days. So I'll be slow and hardly around.

Got some serious pains with some of my teeth. These toothaches hardly allows me any sleep or function normally without giant headaches. It's being looked at as we speak. (infected nerve endings)

Just wished painkillers would do a better job so I can have at least a full night rest >.o

Today is my barfday (read: birthday). I am now of legal age! Just like last year! And the year before that, and the year before that...

Don't give me cakes or present, I only want friends *drools*

As many are aware, last week we've lost a great and wonderful person to the community, leaving behind many friends and loved ones.

I only recently heard of the accident, and haven't felt quite the same ever since. I was shocked, I was in disbelief. Was it really the Athus I've spoken to just recently?

I wish to share with all of you, in the brief time I got to know him, what kind of project we were working on. It deserves to be seen.

In the past I made a 3d sculpture of a dragon for a friend of mine. A few days later, he approached me with the idea of turning it into an actual real life model. I was surprised, and quite excited about the idea. Obviously I agreed to the plan and we got to work. Or rather, he got to work heh. We'd exchange e-mails and ideas on the matter, while he'd share pics of the work in progress.

A lot of effort and time went into this, something he crafted with his hands in his own time. It looks amazing, and we were on the discussion of making a second as a secret surprise for said friend, aswell as what painting options we had. Sadly, it never got to that. I was about to mail him back after his last message, a few days prior to the accident. When I found out he was no longer there, it took me a whole day to fully realise he's really no longer among us anymore. When it finally did hit me, it affected me greater than I originally thought.

I felt terrible, why didn't I e-mail him any sooner? Why did I leave it for the time since I was occupied with something else? I'm not sad because the project won't be finished, I'm sad because I didn't make use of the time left with him. You see, I was really starting to appreciate him. He's so fine and open in his contacts. I'd easily see a friendship grow out of it.

I knew of him before, and looked up to him in ways. Today, I still look up to him, but now with a deeper meaning to it.

For the brief time I spent with him, it feels like I knew him all my life. He touched my life, and ultimately, my heart~

I felt like I had to share this, a final honor, to a wonderful and beautiful person, that will always live on in our minds and hearts.

Rest in peace, dear Athus

Hello peoples!

As many of you are aware my affinity lies with things dragon/lizard/reptilian (scalies), both of the feral and anthromorphic kind. This includes all kinds of fun, mostly of the vorarephilia and macrophilia kind. I reckon this is also one of the reasons you, the viewer, browse through my gallery and (hopefully) come to appreciate my art and efforts.

However, as it is with me, I shift back and forth between the two. One week I lean more towards appreciating the feral kind more, the next towards the anthromorphic kind.

How about you?

Do you favour feral dragons over anthro, or vice versa, or are indifferent towards the two?

Got abit of inspiration from a different journal, but I wanna do a different approach.

The question's simple: what is one of your favourite works in my gallery and why?

As an extra: do you save some pics to your harddrive and/or exchange it with others?

The reason I ask this is once I send my works out into the open world, I hardly have any idea what happens after with it. Sometimes I see my works appear on different communities (fchan, etc). Usually I dont mind, but in the (long) past some personal works ended up on there, which I was far from being happy about.

Lastly, somewhat more of a personal question. It's translated from the other journal into something more appropiate =p The question is: do you sometimes fantasise or dream about my character?

So! Please share your thoughts, perhaps give me some feedback and the like. Since the summer is here I have more time on my hands again to create moar!

Whenever I look at my gallery, I just have to yawn at how plain it is. Black on white.. maybe some blue.. hardly any coloured stuff. The stuff that actually *is* coloured, has a brownish poop tone to it.
