Notice: The Trip
Posted 14 years agoAs of 4 pm tomorrow, I'm leaving for a 24 hour bus trip to West Virginia to try something I haven't done in a long time. It'll be a three week trip, but if things go well and I find a job, it might end up being longer (perhaps permanent). This is more a heads up to my online friends and such about my absence during those three weeks. Hopefully, things'll go well.
It's also to state that I might be leaving Florida for good and all, depending on the outcome of this trip. I have loved the people I've met here (you know who you are), but I have to follow my heart and hope for the best in the future.

Cleanup
Posted 14 years agoAfter a momentary consideration, I have decided to go through my extensive +watch list and just clean out a few artists that hadn't been around, changed accounts or were generally.. well... not people I needed to watch anymore. The decisions were not made to be mean or spiteful, and most people whom were removed will likely never see it (It's mostly just cleaning up).
But I wanted to post something so that people know that FA didn't 'eat' the fave. If you are one of these types and feel that I have wronged you.. Please, send me a private note and I'll explain why I removed it, or if it was in error, rewatch you. Thank you and have a good day!

Character Rename: Seeking Thoughts.
Posted 14 years agoAs of now, I have three characters: Khorax, Bherax and Donovan. Donovan has yet to be unveiled in his entirety. I'm waiting to get up enough spare cash for a character sheet of him... but this journal isn't about him..
This journal is about Bherax. Bherax needs a rename. Someone I speak to regularly online suggested the name of Brody, but before I change his name officially, I'd like to know what you all think.
Do you have any thoughts/suggestions about this?

Requesting Donations/Selling Furnishings
Posted 15 years agoDue to this: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/1943562
I may be in need of money short-hand. If you feel that you can donate anything (even a dollar would help), my paypal is Khorax@gmail.com. I am not entirely certain of where I need to go, but I need to make sure I can get there.
I'm also selling my furniture. I don't have pictures as of yet, but they're not much so they won't be going for much. Right now I'm selling a big TV cabinet/stand, a chair, a loveseat (in poor condition), Coffee table, a bookshelf, and two smaller end tables. The Coffee table and end tables are a matching set. As I get closer to the move, I have a Queen Sized bed and boxspring a desk and a smaller shelf-thing on wheels (I've been using it for my printer. I may be willing to part with the Printer/Scanner I have for the right price.
Please, let me know if any of you are at all interested or in need of new furniture. You'll need to provide your own method of transport for the items, however, and will need to pick it up in the Orlando/UCF FL area.

Eviction Update
Posted 15 years agoFor the original posting about this: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/1943562
So basically, I gave one of them actual health issues complicated due to my anxiety, combined with pressures at work, but none of situations change with me leaving, other than hearing about certain some of them from one person less frequently. I get the feeling that he was caught in the middle of issues between myself and the other two roommates and made a more logical choice: one that I don't agree with, but can understand. He's stated that if I can't find a place to go by the 31st he wouldn't kick me out (why give me an eviction notice then?) I'm still very much angry and do advise against living with these people.
However, it's likely not a good idea to harass, no matter how deserving it may be. It can get you in legal trouble, as can threats. Please, don't get yourself in trouble on my account. This doesn't mean that you shouldn't be angry, though, nor be quiet about it. I'd like to handle this quietly and professionally. I have tried doing so for months, however, and that doesn't work. I have explained the situation and, due to a lack of trust, cannot treat this household separately.
BTW, the statement "That's your perspective" doesn't work if it's actually true. The fact that I stuck my neck out for these people on multiple occasions is quickly forgotten when it becomes inconvenient, it seems, a point I expressed tonight during out conversation. Since they are withdrawing their kindness, I suppose I should do so in kind. Be careful what you hear about them. People talk about double-sided stories all the time, but I've been a man of integrity since I've moved in, purposely as I've been burned by dishonest people in the past.
I maintain that I have cleaned up after myself in far greater amounts than any other single roommate here, and with regular consistency, and I have been far more stable with my payments as well. If you hear otherwise, it's simply untrue.
Edit: Assumed information is in italics. The rest is factual and or opinions, where appropriate.

Eviction:
Posted 15 years agoSo, after paying over $800 to move me and my roommates into our new apartment, it's little more than half a year that they decide to give me an eviction notice. I have until Jan 31 to get out. This isn't because of lack of payment on any bills. I'm one of the more stable roommates, and have been even before moving in. I've paid thousands of dollars for two people I live with before we moved in here. I even bought energy efficient bulbs to help cut down on energy costs (although they'll blame me for a high AC bill during the Summer months. In Florida. Close to the room. Yeah).
I am the -only- roommate to regularly and consistently clean up after myself when I make a mess in the kitchen or bathroom. All three of my roommates have a habit of leaving dishes at least overnight, and at least one of my roomies has a habit of leaving his shavings on the sink.. and then blaming me for them. So, it's not about cleanliness or responsibility.
No, this is about 'not liking me.' The reason? I really don't know, nor do I any longer care. This time old excuse is a wonderful way of taking the odd man out. That is the only guy whom manages not to steal, lie, cheat, disrespect, or just not pay. I have bailed these people out more times than I can remember. ALL of the furniture in the livingroom is mine, as is the majority of cookware (which they've scratched and broken), a number of dishes (also some of which are broken), as well as other odds and ends.
I have done nothing but treat these people with the same respect I expected returned, but they did not return it. I haven't been perfect, but I've not been nearly as bad as the people here. They all owe me money. This comes as a warning: DO NOT LIVE WITH THESE PEOPLE. If you need names, just send me an AIM and I will answer any questions you have. I'm done being nice to them. I'm done sticking up for them. They can fend for themselves now.
Also, because of this, I am likely leaving Orlando. Plans are still up in the air, but.. yeah.
Edit: The areas that are assumptions are in italics. The rest is factual.

Considering a Story series
Posted 15 years agoI have an idea for a very simple story series regarding a Guardian Dragon and a village, and I wanted to ask my watchers: what do you think of the idea of selling story-spots to include characters. The story would involve Hypnosis and have undertones of corruption and/or transformation, among other things, and would most likely be adult.
The price I was thinking of setting was $5-$10, and after the initial beginning, would share in as characters entering the story. The story would be set in a semi-traditional Fantasy Village. So? Thoughts?
Edit: After considering it, it would be important to note that Hypnosis, Mind Control and Corruption would be overarching themes, with Bondage as a vehicle from time to time. Expect these in spades if I do this. I'd prefer the characters to start off rather.. normal at first.

2. What is unique about my character that you enjoy?
3. What are his/her flaws?
4. What are some changes you would like to see?
5. What would you like to see my character doing in future pictures?
6. How old does my character look?
7. If you could, how would you personally change him to fit me better?

You know you're from O-town when...
Posted 15 years agoyou know the meaning of obt, and don't drive down it after 5pm.
you are at wal-mart more then you are at your own home.
you find yourself humming the jingle for premier adult factory outlet.
you prepare for hurricane season by buying pretzels and beer.
you have to be over 90 years old to know what snow feels like, and have seen it in another state.
your air conditioning bill is higher than the annual budget for most small countries.
you call amway arena the o-rena! (wish the name never changed)
you've lived here the majority of your life, yet still claim to be "from" somewhere else.
you refuse to go in the pool because the water temperature feels hotter than the air temperature.
you don't think twice about wearing your sunglasses while driving in the rain.
you turn the heat on in your house as the temperature dips below 65.
you drive to the store, three blocks from your house.
you've spent hours on the lazy river just to flirt with the lifeguard.
you know where Disney is, but not well enough to give decent directions.
you know where and can name six major motels within five miles of your house.
you own five really hip jackets, but have only had the chance to wear one.
you've ever started out on a friday night, determined to find a hip, exciting, new night spot, only to end up back on Wall Street.
you know who david maus, don reed and bob dance are.
your social calendar revolves around fsu/uf/ucf college football games.
you can name every mall's food court choices.
you've been to Universal a thousand times and never had a chance to ride Jaws.
you have imagined what would have happened had Nick Anderson not missed those free throws.
you know where to find 4 differnt ci-ci's pizza's.
you can not only name all backstreet boys and NSYNC dudes, but also point out their various houses around town.
you remember when it used to be cold on Christmas.
you can recite a Morgan, Colling and Gilbert commercial.
you've questioned the validity of Pamela Brady's pregnancies and Bob Opsahl's hair.
your pet name for mother nature is mother-something else
you do christmas shopping in january.
your flip flops are considered business casual.
you were taught that the best way to avoid a gator is to run in a zig-zag.
you know someone who knows someone who was struck by lightning.
(BONUS! Me Twice!)
you are afraid to visit the beach or a water park becuase of the abundance of tourist speedos.
you regularly mention the high risk of shark attacks at Daytona and New Smyrna to all tourists who ask.
there are only two weather conditons: "hot or raining"
you know someone who has passed out from humidity.
there is a gator in your swimming pool, and you know who to call.
only you are aloud to call it "o-town", and anyone else who does will get smacked.
you don't know why you live in orlando. and can't remember when you moved there.
your idea of mass transit is the disney monorail.
some of your best friends are people you met in line somewhere or in traffic.
you've spent time pondering the meaning of the lights on the side of the downtown public library.
no matter where you go, you are always 30 minutes away
instead of explaining to people from other places that you are from winter springs, winter park, altamonte springs, maitland, apopka, windermere etc., you simply tell them you are from orlando.
you've got a tan line on your wrist from theme park, bar and club wristbands.

Time Waister: the Meme
Posted 15 years agoStolen like a two-bit thief from
Flamingbeaver
1. First thing you wash in the shower?
My chest and belly
2. What color is your favorite hoodie?
Forest Green
3. Would you kiss the last person you kissed again?
Yes. Definately.
4. Do you plan outfits?
Not really, unless I have a job or I'm going to something nice.. and I have something nice to wear.
5. How are you feeling RIGHT now?
I messed up my back a week ago and it's still pretty tight. Aside from that, alright.
6. What's the closest thing to you that's red?
Red? A Complete Collection of Sherlock Holmes.
7. Tell me about the last dream you remember having?
Last night, I dreamt I was in a strange Silent Hill-esque sea shanty town where a family was attempted to get rid of me, but only because they were ghosts and representations of my fear of failure. There were two dogs that would fight, smaller ones, on the wooden docks. There was a strong carnival-style theme, but it was dark, rather than cheerful. Someone else was with me, but I don't remember who. I think it was a woman similar to Cybil Bennett.
8. Did you meet anybody new today?
Online, yes. RL, no
9. What are you craving right now?
Honestly? A good, long night's sleep.
10. Do you floss?
Yes. I floss regularly, and use mouthwash.
11. What comes to mind when I say cabbage?
Corned beef and Cabbage with biscuits.
12. Are you emotional?
I can be, but I can also be emotionless. I often have conflicting feelings at the same time, which makes it hard to explain how I feel. I can be very exact, but people don't like that.
13. Have you ever counted to 1,000?
Yes, actually, just to see how long it'd take. Too long for my tastes.
14. Do you bite into your ice cream or just lick it?
Both, depending on the ice cream's consistency. Soft serve I tend to lick, Ice cream bars, I tend to bite.
15. Do you like your hair?
Sorta. I like the thickness, but.. I never know what to do with it.. and it's possible I'll start balding soon.
16. Do you like yourself?
In all honesty.. Yes. Although there are parts of me I would change, I would prefer to still be me. I consider my failures learning experiences. I have had some really wonderful moments that I cherish and would never want to give up. That and I'm awesome.
17. Would you go out to eat with George W. Bush?
I would, yes, but I doubt he'd want to get into my inflammatory political rhetoric.
18. What are you listening to right now?
The sound of my fan running, and the ambiance that comes in from outside on occasion, as well as the clacking of my keyboard.
19. Are your parents strict?
My Father was never around, but my Mother was never strict. She was very 'let the children grow/I'm too busy with work.' Although she didn't breathe down my neck, she made certain that I understand what was at stake in my life, and what I had to be responsible for.
20. Would you go sky diving?
Yes, as long as I have a parachute and friends to help egg me on.
21. Do you like cottage cheese?
Ew. No. Just one word: Curdle.
22. Have you ever met a celebrity?
Actually, yes. Several times, but mostly in Daytona Beach.
23. Do you rent movies often?
Netflix!
24. Is there anything sparkly in the room you're in?
Shiny, yes. Sparkly, no.
25. How many countries have you visited?
1
26. Have you made a prank phone call?
Yes, yes I have.
27. Ever been on a train?
Not yet.
28. Brown or white eggs?
Either/or. I usually get white eggs because they're easier, but there's nothing wrong with brown.
29. Do you have a cell-phone?
Not anymore.
30. Do you use chap stick?
Only in the winter-time
31. Do you own a gun?
Not yet.
32. Can you use chop sticks?
Yes, although I'm not very good yet.
33. Who are you going to be with tonight?
No one. I get my queen-sized bed to myself.
34. Are you too forgiving?
Some people would say so, but again, I don't believe people stay the same forever. People have to choose to change, though, and if it's clear that they're not going to, I'm not going to expect them to.
35. Ever been in love?
Yes.
36. What is your best friend(s) doing tomorrow (or the next soonest week day)?
Toughy. Not sure, really.
37. Ever have cream puffs?
Yes.
38. Last time you cried?
I shed a single tear at Toy Story 3. Happy now?
39. What was the last question you asked?
A Non-disclosure agreement prevents me from answering this.
40. Favorite time of the year?
Just at the start of winter, when the air is cool and crisp, but not yet cold.
41. Do you have any tattoos?
Nope.

Tabletop RPGs
Posted 15 years agoYou know, I miss playing tabletop RPGs. When I say this, I mean actually getting a character together and sitting down, making a commitment and playing. Most of the games I've run have fallen apart because of issues with Real Life, but usually because one or more players can't/won't commit. When things finally do start settling down, people have all of these grudges from when they didn't.
I'd love to get a game together, perhaps something White-wolf as it's easier to run, preferably the new system, because it's better balanced.
What do you all think about Tabletop RPGs?

Confession
Posted 15 years agoYou ever have movies that really kinda.. remind you of a lot of your younger days or youth? I understand this makes me show my age of 28, but.. I often have positive emotions attached to a lot of movies. I got finished watching one of them, and well.. I realized that when I was younger, I was much more idealistic than I am now, but it was weird.. I understood that the world didn't work the way I thought it did, or rather, society didn't. I just didn't.. care that much. I wanted to be myself, or rather this idealistic version of myself.
Recently, I've gone through a rough emotional patch. I've felt a lot of guilt lately, thinking it was selfish of me to keep my ideals when I don't always live up to them, or making issues seem more important when they are matters of the heart. I've projected this on a few people, and to those people I apologize deeply. I understand that what I have in my head and what is in the world don't match up, not always. I understand that I do blow things out of proportion at times. I'm sorry for the people I hurt when these things happen.
I guess I've been needing to make this kind of deep journal for a while, but I kept becoming afraid. "What if someone sees me? What if someone knows what I'm talking about? What if people think I'm this emo kid who has all these problems?" These fears and anxieties are what keeps me from really digging deep when I should. I suppose if I had a weakness, it'd be that I'm just.. plain terrified. I have a history of choking under emotional pressure, and freezing up, when all I want to do is speak what I feel, with all honesty and truthfulness.
I kinda miss the long, actual deep talks I used to have with people. Just.. talks that are more than personal interests and things like.. what makes people nice guys or mean? Psychology is good and all, but I miss it. What makes the world go round? Is there something else? So many people are certain, and there are so many questions. I could continue my life in it's normal, day-by-day routine, but.. I dunno.. it seems like when I stop to smell the roses, the world zooms on past me, and I start to worry about catching up.
Well, this journal ended up being more of a confession than I realized. It feels good to get these things out and on paper, to express them in a way that might not mean anything to anyone else, but.. these are my thoughts, and some of the things I worry about. Someone said something to me last night that's catching up with me now, and it made me smile. (If you are reading this, you know who you are. We were on IRC, just in case you don't). It's true, and I think that makes a difference, really. I'm not afraid of that. I shouldn't be, and I won't let the world make me.
For everyone: Thank you for just.. being there. It means a lot. Thank you to my friends and the people I share moments of just.. caring for one another. Thank you all for putting up with my many moods and my down moments, and for sharing the up moments where everything, even the rain, seems new. I love you all.
