I wanted to pop in to give everyone a quick update, as well as a sincere apology for my delays. Without getting into too much detail, I have been extremely busy running around to various court cases, counseling, and work (whenever I can). In the past month or so, criminal allegations have risen against me and I spend the majority of my time fighting them. Coupled with mandatory counseling and $6000 in medical bills, I have had zero time for my job let alone any of my art related endeavors. In the next week or so, I'm hoping (fingers crossed) to be back into the swing of owned art, maybe not 100%, but a steady 30% anyways.
I really am trying, I absolutely promise. Just bare with me, and fingers crossed before May all of this will blow over.

Baby May Be Coming Sooner Than Expected
Posted 9 years agoYesturday, I had another slew of appointments. Various ultrasounds. The whole shtick. At my last one, the doctor informed me that my baby was small, smaller then she should be at her age, and that brings the risk of stillbirth from 0.5% to 1%. My offspring being small really hasn't been that worrisome. Everyone is fairly certain that it's all genetic, as most of my family has been known to have smaller sized kids. Despite this, the doctor is considering having me induced early rather than carrying full term to lower any and all risk.
Friday, I have another appointment, tests, and what have you, and it's then that we'll discuss picking a due date. More than likely it'll be in the next two weeks which means every and all commission will be on hold until further notice. I'll try to get done what I can, but I make no promises.
Furthermore, if you are a Patron of mine (through Patreon) I ask that you send me your commissions for this month. I'm really honored to have your support, and I want to make sure your monthly commission is completed before I pop off into labor~

When Life's Going Well... (Emergency Commissions)
Posted 9 years agoSo yesterday I received some rather unpleasant news. After a couple of tests, it turns out that I've developed Gestational Diabetes. As of right now, they're having me sign up to meet with a dietition and I have a class next week on what all this entails. I'm just really worried; not for me, but for the baby. I know this is something that's fairly common, but I can't help feeling like if anything terrible should happen to my baby it'll be my fault. I'm not really sure how things will go; mostly I'm just hoping my piddly insurance will cover the costs of all the supplies I'll be needing.
Like I said, I'm not sure what all costs I'll be saddled with. At this point, I know I'll have 3x the amount of hospital visits and I'll have to start testing my blood sugar 4x a day.
I don't really know what to do. Just to be safe, I'm kindly asking for any and all support, monetary or not. I'm open for all types of commissions (traditional, paintings, digital, and all), and I have a few open YCH projects. I also have a few premade bookmarks and paintings in the works. Ending Saturday, there is also a sketchbook available for auction. Winning it means that I'll fill it with commissions for you up to the number of pages you've won. It's pretty neat, I think.

I am begging for your help. A friend of mine is going through some hard times. She suffers from crohn's disease and is unable to afford other surgical procedures that she should have. She's been selling off her valuables just to keep a steady income while she also takes care of her grandmother.
She's always such a trooper, keeping a smile and a positive disposition despite her situations. Recently, however, the city of Detroit is suing her family for their land to build the 2nd bridge to Canada. They will be kicked out of their home and forced to move, something they have no money for. It's utterly ridiculous.
If any body can, for the next 2 weeks or so I'll be offering Pay What You Can commissions. Traditional, digital...you name it! All the proceeds will be given straight to her.
Please, if you can give or at least pass around her story I would be forever grateful. She's really a fantastic human being, and anything would mean a lot

Stupid FurAffinity
Posted 9 years agoI'm really thinking of just not using their site any more. Honestly, they just have so many problems. It's not to say I dislike FA; I'm just sick of losing information and the site simply crashing or being hacked or whatever. Between having to always reset my password, constantly reuploading things, and now the lose of my commissions list...ionno. Nothing against them, but I need more dependability than that.

Looking for a Commission?
Posted 9 years agoMy boyfriend and I are currently in the works to find our own apartment. Living with his family has it's perks, but it would be nice to have our own space where everyone isn't stepping all over eachother's toes. Plus, with the baby on the way, we feel it's time.
