Got her home, cleaned her up from the inside, VERY rusty so that's her new name. RUSTY.

Cleaned the bugs out of her, has a crack on the bottom port cover, some scuffs, but all Rusty needed was some cleaning. Also got the gunk out of the Ninja Gaiden cartridge... THIS is the results of my hard work.

It has happened. I finally have them. RC Cola and Sun Drop both glass bottled and sugar brewed. Nabbed these at a Stuckey's on the Georgia/Florida boarder. Time to ring in the new year by having blasts from the past. We will start with-


RC Cola.

SMELL = Like a good ol RC Cola.
TASTE = Nowhere near as intense and still has that flavor.

And you can taste that sugary goodness.
VERDICT = A+ Just top notch like a Mexican Coca Cola.

Now for a special. RC Cola + Jack Daniels. Pure genious. I think it taste better and sweeter than a Meican Cola and Jack Daniels.



Sun Drop.

SMELL = Citrus goodness only Sun Drop can provide.
TASTE = ...Like nector. Ambrosia. It is THAT...G-E-W-D, GEWD...
VERDICT = A++ I might go as far as to call this the best stuff on earth...



Now to ring in the new year with this old timey classic Sun Drop I will never forget... Cheers...

Posting art before I go down into my Christmas vacation. Hello brown sweaters and socks. But before I do I got to post some art before I go to bed.

I have gotten a lot of suggestions about a matter and I wanna talk it out right now. It's about my painting, and a lot of people including my Cousin said this same thing.

"Hey, you should try and do some shading."

Yes. I know I should. I know it will make my work have more pop for the buck. But do I wanna do it? Nope. Now let me get something clear. I'm not saying no to be an asshole. Let me explain. The truth be told I'm having fun with flats. That's what I wanna do. Have FUN. It's one of those few things that make me content and happy. In fact, I used to be one of those FAers that was bitter at others for being rich to buy commissions and all that jazz. I was a jealous little prick. Once I found I can actually be GOOD at this painting stuff, it's what took my mind off...negatory things.

Besides, I want to take up shading when I'm ready. And trust me, I got a lot to improve as it is before I take that next step. Some people told me my latest stuff looks improved. So I should do what I do best. Have fun and take it at a natural pace. Lazy? Some might think so. But it works for me.

Woah boy... Never thought I'd pick this up again....but here we are. For those who don't know, I did a journal about Big Red cream soda a WHILE ago. Like, one of the first reviews I have ever done. And needless to say it's still one of those soda's I dislike. Since it is their Diamond Jubilee, their 75th year in business, I'd give it a second chance and with it's SUGAR brewed formula. So let's begin...


SMELL = Like bubble gum still... Mmmmm. Tastey.

TASTE = Still tastes like it as well. Oh man...

VERDICT = It's better than the HFCS version. It's still not for me though. Ya'll like it, good for you. Especially you locals in Waco, TX who kept this soda going for years. I suppose here is to another 75 more...?

So here it goes...

Exiting Wal-Mart parking lot after buying Okami for the Wii, saw ahomeless guy shooting for Atlanta on the turn lane to my passenger side. He had a white mutt Dog and a Fiddle. With a heavy heart I drove off...

Last second, I J-Turned my truck back to the gas station across the street from him. Parked it, grabbed 2 IBC Cream Sodas and 2 IBC Root Beers. We talked. Name was Trevor. He hitchhiked all the way from California to my humble town and going to see his relatives on the East Coast. Smokey pulls up. Ruins his spot. He thought I was with him. Showed him my ID. Walked off a bit on the grass...

Ran back, told the smokey I'd take him. Pulled my truck over to the Krystal parking lot next to him. Loaded his stuff up and his doggy Nikki and burned rubber to 'Dega. He told me he wanted to be left off at a truck stop. So that was the destination. Showed him the backroad beauties of Alabama. The rivers. Old bridges. And the biggest stop of his life. Talladega Superspeedway. Took some photos. Swapped phone numbers. And dropped him off at the NASCAR themed gas station on Truck Stop Alley. Went our separate ways.

Hope he calls me soon. I REALLY wanna know if he did make it there.

Here we are! FA is back up and running, Football season is in full swing and I got some NEW material!



NESBITT'S HONEY LEMONADE!

Nesbitt's Fruit Products Company was founded in 1924, named after its founder Hugh S. Nesbitt. The Nesbitt's brand debuted in 1927, initially as part of the company's line of soda fountain products. Nesbitt's began bottling Nesbitt's orange in either 1938 or 1939, putting it in direct competition with established market-leader Orange Crush. They got so big at the time they had Marilyn Monroe do advertising for them before she was famous right in 46, post-war. But once Fanta got into the scene in the 70s they sold to Clorox which went to Monarch Beverage Company who made NuGrape famous. (And which I did a review on) And at 1999 to today it's owned by Big Red Beverages of Waco, TX whom in turn is owned by Dr. Pepper/Snapple Group.

Enough history lessons. Let's get down to it.


SMELL = It's faint, but it smells way different than let's say Country Time or Minute Maid.

TASTE = This is sweet. Almost powerfully sweet. I can see this as being good for mixed drinks. It reminds of those lemonades I get at those Bahama Breeze restaurants with the piece of sugar cane.

VERDICT = Highly recommended. It's REALLY good. If you have a sweet tooth that hungers, this will cure it.





NEXT TIME = some more stuffs! Back in business, baby!
