Posted 8 years agoIf you haven't seen yet, I'm running a monster design adoptable shop over at tarryeyed.tumblr.com . These creatures, as I make them, are consistent with my own internal lore's story canon and I plan to create a bestiary of critterworks eventually.
My first adopt has sold and there are more coming. When you apply, put a furry pun in your subject bar (or just say you know jacob) for $5 off the adoption fee.

Posted 8 years agoIf I made 'hokeymon' adoptables where you get the physical art piece, or other similar themed adoptables from beloved monster franchises, would that be interesting to you?

What about adoptables with limited rights, using my own story canons and worlds where the creature follows set rules?
Which one should I start with? What kind of monster would you like to see? The result will be similar to the Jin piece, but in one cut.

Posted 9 years agoI might take the time to test out streaming. I haven't touched my laptop in a while since it was breaking down but as long as I'm careful with not even breathing on it, and as long as no one minds 140p, I really miss getting to draw and chat and music with you all.
I need to reteach myself how to draw and Baptiste keeps popping in my scribblebook. I think he agrees. The only issue being having to metaphorically clean out my old locker when I do, haha. These aren't the things you get taught to deal with when in school.

2017 and owings and stuff
Posted 9 years agoHey, everyone. 2016 has been... well, it's been 2016. I'm sorry for taking so long to update.
The good news is that I've got steady work so I've been chipping away at what I owe. Some of you already know this as I've refunded your help (just not updated my list here, that'll be for another day). If you haven't heard from me, your details might be missing if you contributed directly to the ex's paypal. If you did, I thank you for your patience this far. I don't have access to those details and I really want them. I'm looking forward to being in the black again, not just with my credit but with you guys.
There's been no art because I haven't made any. It got associated with something terrible and I'm just breaking out again. When I owe nothing, I'll feel better to draw again - and to draw for free. I miss that. I've got so many characters that want to be illustrated, and so do you guys, and they're adorable together, and I just really miss that. Tablet finally broke, going to order new one
When I've scraped the spoons for it I'll be offering refunds to those who've been waiting for work and would rather spend the money on someone capable of completing it at this time

Posted 10 years agoThere aren't as many med lab tech jobs available here as there were in Ithaca, but at least I have a sin card number lol so at least I CAN work here. I've already had interviews, but I'm hoping for a callback from another one because general-retail is less stressful than fastfood.
The kitties and the kids missed me and Pearl tries to sleepcuddle my face. Ripley doesn't understand how automatic car doors work. Link hasn't aged at all and is still a baby.

Posted 10 years agoI'm going back to Canada in ten days. Things are stable enough that I can work on my art again.
I'm sorry I went AWAL, I was desperate to find work in the US and spent every day with potential employers, the USCIS, attorneys on the phone, and odd jobs to pay for gas. My plan was to return to art once I had secured basic living income since I wasn't making enough on my own, but I've hit a big old wall in terms of paperwork, time, and money that will be easier to climb if I return north first.
In about a year I can try to gain employment and citizenship in the US again, after I've worked off my debts with my family. My depression is manageable now that I've basically had free counseling from a certified therapist and been able to try out different medications. Everything that seemed like a big deal in Canada is now small potatoes and I can get it done in three days at the most.
I need to update my commissions info since FA apparently nerfed the forums, but I won't be accepting new payment for work until I get my old work done anyway. Everyone on the list will be contacted as their piece is completed.

Due to the low resolution, it's cheaper than my other work. $25 for a coloured piece, plus it goes like BWOOM to your eyeballs. If you don't mind the detail to shading then I can do a rougher, but equally colourful and 3D piece for $15. The 3DS is on my person at almost all times while my tablet requires a certain setup at home to work, so I can work on 3d pieces wherever I am. The only thing is that I can't stream 3D pieces. I'd love to, because that'd be cool, and I heard there's a capture card for 3ds's that costs an arm and a leg, but for now that's a no.

The landlord is PRETENDING to do things legally (he printed off a fake 3-day notice, because if he actually tried to get one he'd go to jail for the condition of a heatless house). So we have a tiny window of unbothered time. I want to get as much done as I can and make the money for the move. If you know someone who wants mawshots or other work, hit me up.

We're boned for internet. We need an internet stick but it seems like these things are a rare commodity. Apparently, a Verizon store nearby has one - but we don't possibly have enough onhand cash to buy one and turn it on. How do we use Paypal in an online store, then pick it up same day?
My email is tarrantgargouille or kierankakios at gmail dot com. Emails get pushed to my phone whenever I pass wifi. I don't think I'm going to have internet in half an hour since paypal takes forever to get to bank. Send me email to keep in contact with me, I can't stream until we get a reasonable stick and I don't know how to do that in a reasonable time.
I'll still be working on pieces offline.
