Date: 2010-03-10, 11:30PM EST
I have a 1995 Chevy Astro that was just sold tonight to a rock band.
TJ Kong and the Atomic Bomb.
http://www.myspace.com/kongandthebomb
These Guys were funny, intelligent, and VERY prompt. They were here when they said they would be.
Ive had other people come by, and expect a showroom looking van that's pristine.
Let me tell you all something, there are small dents here and there, and the paint on the front of the roof is flaking, but it runs and drives excellent.
This Van Will NOT strand you. I will show anyone that asks all the repair recipts that was done.
If anyone wants a van that looks brand new from a dealer at only $1500, keep looking.
My van will not look the prettiest, but it will outlast anything out here.
And these guys were happy with it, and brought it on the spot.
What they liked most of all, was they were honest in what they wanted, and I was honest
in what it needed, which wasn't very much At ALL.

General | Posted 16 years agoFor your being so kind to me, and being my 100th commenter in my FA page... (Took a LONG time to get to, btw ^^)
(Im nowhere as popular or talented to get 100 comments on a doodle, heheheh sad face ^.^ ;.; )
I'll draw some free art of you hun if you like. I will draw it in standard pencils on printer paper, just ley me know what ya like, and I will draw it.
I will draw on paper first and scan it in, and try further with the Cintiq, as im not quite to par with that yet.
Thank you hun, and your wife ...
bows,
Kimonoskunk
EDIT: The winning commenter was
kacey when she responded to my comment when her wife started drawing again after 12 years.
I had thought I had said it was
kacey in the original post... my sinceer apologies.

200th comment...
General | Posted 16 years agoI know its not a big deal for a lot of popular furs, but it is for me as a milestone.
200th comment. (Total of submission comments and everything, but closing on 100th individual posted comments)
I know I am rediculously slow with the art, but i am drawing still.
And a piccie I will attempt is for
Kuroryuu for the 200th comment listed.
And I will start on that pic tonight. Dunno if i can get it done reasonably soon till I get a VERY nice surprise from my Bunny wife in mebee a week, but it will help my drawing ability along with the ability to post directly to here.
I am in the market for a Cirtiq 12wx, and either will buy from Best Buy, or Ebay, a 15 inch model.
Will let you know when I get it, and post pics.

The One About the Guy Who Married a Video Game
This week a church in Guam pronounced a man and his copy of dating sim Love Plus husband and, well, wife, and the happy couple will be hosting a reception in Japan that you are cordially invited to view tomorrow.
The unnamed man took his DS and the game to Guam where he said vows with to Nene Anegasaki, one of three virtual girlfriends featured in Love Plus. Tomorrow, the couple will have a reception held on Niconico Douga at around 12 p.m. (no time zone given, check local listings on the site, if you can read Japanese.) The media has been invited to attend; slides will be shown from their time dating up through the wedding.
I've heard of dudes marrying a mannequin before so, this not in fact the most weird-slash-creepy-slash-pathetic thing I've ever heard. But my forced nonjudgment about this really needs its own word. Begrimaced? Bittersad?

Open Letter to Cici's pizza
Written: Nov 19 '09
Product Rating: Product Rating: 1.0
Pros: Brownies tasted okay.
Cons: Read the entire letter.... ^^
The Bottom Line: Absolutely not, but only if you need to empty your stomach in a hurry.
Dear Cici's pizza management and all that are on the Board.
Concerning my visit to store # 764, Lancaster, Pa.
Me, my wife, and 5 year old daughter had traveled an hour to get to your Lancaster, Pa. store, from Phoenixville, Pa. after hearing some radio and TV Cable commercials, and figured I might as well give your chain a try.
The servers and cashier were first rate, very polite and smiled to us and thanked us on arriving, and departing as well.
Mind you, I am not a professional food critic, just a normal guy that likes to enjoy a good pizza once in a good while.
Well, upon first seeing your commercials on Food Network, you shown so many pizza choices and italian food, and salads in a bright cheery atmosphere, with new pizza pies freshly made, pipping hot and ready to chow down on, along with your radio spots, boldly trumpeting your pizza buffet to be the best thing since the first coming of Christ himself.
With such images you shown to my family, surely the pizza would knock our socks off?
*****
I hope you all are sitting down for this... ^^ (Takes a moment to think, and a breath.)
*****
I have to give an honest rating, and only have this one store to base it off of, because the nearest store besides # 764 is exactly the same distance from my home but in the other direction.
I rate your establishment, and chain, at a 12 out of 100.
*****
Why in God's green earth would you score so low?
That's easy...
1.) NEVER in my life, have I EVER..... had such pizza that was SO badly made, that I actually gave up eating after 1 plate, consisting of 2 pieces, and 1/2 of one that my daughter refused to eat.
a.) The pizza was dried out, and cold on the warmers.
b.) The taste was horrible, as there was a whitish creame on top of the white pizza with pepperoni slices, one from my plate and one from daughter's plate.
c.) My wife, who likes every kind of food, said plainly the pizza had the taste of cardboard, even one slice that had most toppings on it, compared to a sausage that was available.
d.) The staff, upon making the replacement pizzas, only made a few slices, and not a complete pie, and hurriedly shoveled, or dumped the new pieces onto the old plates, and let everything sit, some pieces were turned over on each other, letting the toppings run off some slices onto others, but upon my saying the taste was horrible, really made no difference in affecting the taste of each slice.
The slices were THAT BAD.
2.) Where was the variety of different pizzas? Looking at your webpage, I counted 19 different styles and choices of pizza, and different toppings. I was looking forward to some of your BBQ chicken, as I like pizza from Genuardi's markets here (at the lunch section).
I only counted... asking wife as well... mebee 7 varieties?
What the F*** ??!?!!! >.<
3.) My wife also remarked that the plates used, for the salad, were too small and needed bowls to use serving the salads, as to really have a good size salad, you need to make 2 or 3 trips back to the bar and grab more, as when you put too much salad on a flat plate, all the veges roll of the salad and onto the table. Very Very poor choices.
4.) The only thing that I was able to consume was 2 small glasses of the sweetened ice tea, partially to rid my thirst, otherwise to get that God awful taste out of my mouth from the pizza.
5.) I seen one ad in your store for the rustic pizza? Any more authentic and you'd name it Tony?
At this rate of how bad the pizza was, it should lose it's visa and be deported back to Italy, or wrapped in a newspaper and sent to a mafia boss, instead of the stinky fish.
6.) However, in your favor, my wife did like your deserts, as paper thin as the brownies were, they gave enough taste to cancel out the bad pizza. One point for you... ^^
My apologies, but me and my family will Not return to your chain when we wish for pizza. If you ask me, go to Pizza Hut to take some notes on having a Good Pizza Buffet. ANY pizza place around my home, has Far better tasting pizza... Shoot, I MAKE better pizza, with tortilla slabs, Ragu spaghetti sauce, and provalone cheese. And I don't even LIKE Cooking.
I will not ask for a refund, ... however do use the money to either buy better ingredients, better training, or just get out of the pizza business, and start a Cici's used car dealership chain. At least buying a used car and eating your pizza leaves me the same taste in my mouth, before heaving it up in the Lowe's bathroom, after dining at your resturant.
I do visit a few review sites online and do have a blog as well, and this letter is copied to them word for word.
I would like a reply, either the prepackaged one saying thank you for dining at Cici's, or one from a real person.
sincerely,
Joseph, Anna, and Rachael B.

Interesting test

My main type is a 9.
Nines are calm, laid-back, and optimistic. They are able to see everyone's point of view and have a natural desire for peace. Nines are effective mediators. Feardull of conflict and separation from others, they often can be too acommodating.
My Variant is social. Overall, score is highest on compliant traits (so), followed by withdrawn traits (sp) amd lowest on assertive traits (sx)
Keep in mind, your results are dependent on the accurate truth of your responses. The more you take this test and get the same result, the more likely that is your type. Finally, your scores and type, over the long term, will change as you do.

By ROB MAADDI, AP Sports Writer Rob Maaddi, Ap Sports Writer – Thu Sep 17, 11:03 am ET
http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news.....Ball-Back.html
PHILADELPHIA – Dad simply wanted a souvenir. He got a ballpark full of cheers and a national television appearance instead.
Steve Monforto made a grand catch of a foul ball at a Philadelphia Phillies game and gave his prize to his 3-year-old daughter. She quickly tossed it back toward the field, and all her stunned Dad could do was hug her.
"At the time I was just excited to give it to her," Monforto told NBC's "Today" show Thursday.
A season-ticket holder who shares Phillies' tickets with friends, Monforto said he didn't consider the possibility that little Emily might toss his treasure from the upper deck.
"I've been waiting so long to catch a foul ball, and over the edge it goes," he said with a laugh.
The family from Laurel Springs, N.J., still went home with a baseball Tuesday night after the Phillies' 5-0 win over the Nationals. Phillies executive Mike Stiles brought it to them in the stands.
On the "Today" show, they got another ball — this one encased and signed by outfielder Jayson Werth, who hit the foul ball in the fifth inning and made the Monforto family famous.
The family of four also received personalized Phillies jerseys.
Monforto, 32, reached over the railing to make the grab, catching his first foul ball after years of going to Phillies games. He fist-bumped his buddies, high-fived his daughter and handed her the prize.
Then came the toss and the hug.
"I didn't want her to think she did anything wrong," Monforto said on WIP-AM radio Wednesday.
Philly crowds are known for being a tough bunch, but everyone at Citizens Bank Park cheered — first his catch, then his cuddle.
"This was the true reflection of what Philly fans are like," said Bonnie Clark, the team's vice president of communications.
Cameras captured the scene of Monforto snagging Werth's foul, plus the toss and hug. The video was displayed at the top of the Yahoo! Web page and made the NBC national news.
Heres what 2 people said that was at the game also...
I was at the game up in 418 and had a great view of that. It was so cute/sad/hilarious! The crowd up there got a good kick out of it but were hoping the guy could get his ball back. The ushers worked together to get one up to them. I hope it was the same ball she dropped. The fans cheered when they got their new ball. Right after the inning when it happened they showed the replay on fanavision.
Posted by: Cori | Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at 12:46 AM
I was at the game too and everyone started laughing, thinking the guy dropped it. Then the video popped up and we all "awwwed" after the initial shock. It was ADORABLE!
This is why I love being a dad to my daughter, and hubby to AnnaBunny

Patrick Swayze Dies at 57
General | Posted 16 years agoDammit I loved this guy and his movies...
Ill Miss ya Patrick... snffs
Kimmyskunk
LOS ANGELES – Patrick Swayze, the hunky actor who danced his way into moviegoers' hearts with "Dirty Dancing" and then broke them with "Ghost," died Monday after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 57.
"Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months," said a statement released Monday evening by his publicist, Annett Wolf. Swayze died in Los Angeles, Wolf said, but declined to give further details.
Fans of the actor were saddened to learn in March 2008 that Swayze was suffering from a particularly deadly form of cancer. He kept working despite the diagnosis, putting together a memoir with his wife and shooting "The Beast," an A&E drama series for which he had already made the pilot.
Swayze said he opted not to use painkilling drugs while making "The Beast" because they would have taken the edge off his performance. The show drew a respectable 1.3 million viewers when the 13 episodes ran in 2009, but A&E said it had reluctantly decided not to renew it for a second season.
When he first went public with the illness, some reports gave him only weeks to live, but his doctor said his situation was "considerably more optimistic" than that. Swayze acknowledged that time might be running out given the grim nature of the disease.
"I'd say five years is pretty wishful thinking," Swayze told ABC's Barbara Walters in early 2009. "Two years seems likely if you're going to believe statistics. I want to last until they find a cure, which means I'd better get a fire under it."
C. Thomas Howell, who co-starred with Swayze in "The Outsiders," "Grandview U.S.A." and "Red Dawn", said: "I have always had a special place in my heart for Patrick. While I was fortunate enough to work with him in three films, it was our passion for horses that forged a friendship between us that I treasure to this day. Not only did we lose a fine actor today, I lost my older `Outsiders' brother."
Other celebrities used Twitter to express condolences, and "Dirty Dancing" was the top trending topic for a while Monday night, trailed by several other Swayze films.
Ashton Kutcher -- whose wife, Demi Moore, co-starred with Swayze in "Ghost" -- wrote: "RIP P Swayze." Kutcher also linked to a YouTube clip of the actor poking fun at himself in a classic "Saturday Night Live" sketch, in which he played a wannabe Chippendales dancer alongside the corpulent -- and frighteningly shirtless -- Chris Farley.
And Larry King wrote: "Patrick Swayze was a wonderful actor & a terrific guy. He put his heart in everything. He was an extraordinary fighter in his battle w Cancer." King added that he'd do a tribute to Swayze on his CNN program Tuesday night.
A three-time Golden Globe nominee, Swayze became a star with his performance as the misunderstood bad-boy Johnny Castle in "Dirty Dancing." As the son of a choreographer who began his career in musical theater, he seemed a natural to play the role.
A coming-of-age romance starring Jennifer Grey as an idealistic young woman on vacation with her family and Swayze as the Catskills resort's sexy (and much older) dance instructor, the film made great use of both his grace on his feet and his muscular physique.
It became an international phenomenon in the summer of 1987, spawning albums, an Oscar-winning hit song in "(I've Had) the Time of My Life," stage productions and a sequel, 2004's "Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights," in which he made a cameo.
Swayze performed and co-wrote a song on the soundtrack, the ballad "She's Like the Wind," inspired by his wife, Lisa Niemi. The film also gave him the chance to utter the now-classic line, "Nobody puts Baby in a corner."
Swayze followed that up with the 1989 action flick "Road House," in which he played a bouncer at a rowdy bar. But it was his performance in 1990's "Ghost" that showed his vulnerable, sensitive side. He starred as a murdered man trying to communicate with his fiancee (Moore) -- with great frustration and longing -- through a psychic played by Whoopi Goldberg.
Swayze said at the time that he fought for the role of Sam Wheat (director Jerry Zucker wanted Kevin Kline) but once he went in for an audition and read six scenes, he got it.
Why did he want the part so badly? "It made me cry four or five times," he said of Bruce Joel Rubin's Oscar-winning script in an AP interview.
"Ghost" provided yet another indelible musical moment: Swayze and Moore sensually molding pottery together to the strains of the Righteous Brothers' "Unchained Melody." It also earned a best-picture nomination and a supporting-actress Oscar for Goldberg, who said she wouldn't have won if it weren't for Swayze.
"When I won my Academy Award, the only person I really thanked was Patrick," Goldberg said in March 2008 on the ABC daytime talk show "The View."
Swayze himself earned three Golden Globe nominations, for "Dirty Dancing," "Ghost" and 1995's "To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar," which further allowed him to toy with his masculine image. The role called for him to play a drag queen on a cross-country road trip alongside Wesley Snipes and John Leguizamo.
His heartthrob status almost kept him from being considered for the role of Vida Boheme.
"I couldn't get seen on it because everyone viewed me as terminally heterosexually masculine-macho," he told the AP then. But he transformed himself so completely that when his screen test was sent to Steven Spielberg, whose Amblin pictures produced "To Wong Foo," Spielberg didn't recognize him.
Among his earlier films, Swayze was part of the star-studded lineup of up-and-comers in Francis Ford Coppola's 1983 adaptation of S.E. Hinton's novel "The Outsiders," alongside Rob Lowe, Tom Cruise, Matt Dillon, Ralph Macchio, Emilio Estevez and Diane Lane.
Other '80s films included "Red Dawn," "Grandview U.S.A." (for which he also provided choreography) and "Youngblood," once more with Lowe, as Canadian hockey teammates.
In the '90s, he made such eclectic films as "Point Break" (1991), in which he played the leader of a band of bank-robbing surfers, and the family Western "Tall Tale" (1995), in which he starred as Pecos Bill. He appeared on the cover of People magazine as its "Sexiest Man Alive" in 1991, but his career tapered off toward the end of the 1990s, when he also had stay in rehab for alcohol abuse. In 2001, he appeared in the cult favorite "Donnie Darko," and in 2003 he returned to the New York stage with "Chicago"; 2006 found him in the musical "Guys and Dolls" in London.
Swayze was born in 1952 in Houston, the son of Jesse Swayze and choreographer Patsy Swayze, whose films include "Urban Cowboy."
He played football but also was drawn to dance and theater, performing with the Feld, Joffrey and Harkness Ballets and appearing on Broadway as Danny Zuko in "Grease." But he turned to acting in 1978 after a series of injuries.
Within a couple years of moving to Los Angeles, he made his debut in the roller-disco movie "Skatetown, U.S.A." The eclectic cast included Scott Baio, Flip Wilson, Maureen McCormack and Billy Barty.
Off-screen, he was an avid conservationist who was moved by his time in Africa to shine a light on "man's greed and absolute unwillingness to operate according to Mother Nature's laws," he told the AP in 2004.
Swayze was married since 1975 to Niemi, a fellow dancer who took lessons with his mother; they met when he was 19 and she was 15. A licensed pilot, Niemi would fly her husband from Los Angeles to Northern California for treatment at Stanford University Medical Center.
Ill Miss ya Patrick... snffs

General | Posted 16 years agoHere we go... Starting up at the college driving again, where I will have 80 hours a week, for probably 4 weeks, at 11.00 an hour.
Just got home from a 2nd interview where I will be making at least DOUBLE my rate at the college, as a courier driver in Plymouth Meeting, covering the tri state area, from Poconos to the shores in New Jersey.
I will work the college for the 2 weeks of massive overtime, and when that cheque comes, I will start the courier position, after my daily work at the college.
So I'll be working 11 hours a day at college, and in evenings I will work courier position including weekends. Then, as I get better at doing the courier work, I will be given more courier pick ups, (all within reason)
and I will slowly phase out the college position and do the courier position FULL time, and make anywhere from 800-1200 a Week.
(Love to see the college pay me that. HAAA !!!)
NOTE: (How I will do this is drive for college at 80 hours a week, get paid in 2 weeks for the 160 hours I worked at the college, then start the courier position in the evenings from 4pm, till 1200 am, then sleep.
Then after 2 weeks of working the college as day job, and courier position in evenings, I will swap hours, meaning the courier will take over as main job, and do the college on weekends. And then finally, when I start really rolling in the pay as a courier, I will leave the college and do the courier work full time. And as bonus, I will be my own contractor, meaning I can bring Bunny and daughter with me when I start the courier work during the days.)
And if I really apply myself, I can make 1500 a week... easily.
This is really a blessing in disguise, as ROVER transit did not hire me after I completed my training. I wouldn't have found the courier position open if I was happy at Rover.
Only things I will pay for are wear-and-tear on Astro, fuel, and tolls.
I will track all my miles, save repair bills, and see what other loopholes I can do with my taxes, to save as much as I can at tax time, for the BIGGEST tax refund I can handle.
Wish me luck in this, and Cylnx, I will start your commission tonight, and be done by weekend.
Wanted to let my friends know how good things turned within a day or 2....

Decided I am gonna take the plunge.... Commisions are OPEN
General | Posted 16 years agoAnd start to offer commissions, at $5 dollars each for a 1 character penciled drawing, 2 characters for 10 bucks. Give me an idea of a character, by a description or a picture, and I will have one drawn or started within that evening. Give me contact details so I can show progress of the picture by my cellphone.
I will attempt 2 redraws if you aren't happy with a pose.
I only do simple pencil shaded sketches now, and would offer simple colorings if you like, by hand. (Just add $5.00 to the price. Colored pencils, as I am not proficient enough with Gimp or photoshop yet. ) When I am done with the pic and you are happy with it, I will send you the original by snail mail.
I will draw nudes, within reason, but no hardcore yiff yet.
I haven't tried drawing cars, houses, or mecha yet, but when I get better, I will try those as well...
Lets see how this goes.... k?
Kimmyskunk
ps. There are 1 or 2 pics I did promise friends, so I will finish those first before commisions start. (These will be for free as I did promise them... Yawg and Shujin Tribble)

A funny lil quote that I said....
General | Posted 16 years agojust before bed, me and bunny were discussing our sleeping arrangements till we get a twin beds for upstairs.
Why you ask? simple.... the steps are too narrow and tight to fit up the twisted steps.
She said whenever we get the new beds, she will cuddle and xxx yiff and all that fun stuff.
However a small problem, I will be working two jobs for time being.
Solution...? Give my boss a call and say..."Im sorry boss I won't be in, I want to fuck my bunnywife tonight..."
Haa
Well Bunny thought that was funny..... 9.9

Wanna let ya know....
General | Posted 16 years agoI got a new job driving for Rover Transport, which drives Para-Transit shuttles for the elderly and handicapped passengers in area. Doesn't pay a whole lot like id prefer, but has Blue Cross and Shield for Bunny and daughter.
However the rent is due, and my Rover job pushed my start date back again, (unpaid training) so I will be working for Dominoes Pizza for the evenings to catch up.
I have to make $750 Dollars in 13 Days, not including what I will sell tomorrow, my swords, comics, and some antiques, to make it over the hump of my first Rover paycheck. Or this will be the shortest home stay ever.
One good thing, is Bunny's brother and older sister is pushing for her (Bunny's) mom's old doublewide, on one acre of land. Asking aboot 80k for it.
We are debating to try to call one of those "We buy Homes for Cash places..." Did anyone have any dealings with them, good or bad?
If anyone can help, with donations of any size, let me know.
hugs,

Gonna be moving to a House.... 0.o ??
General | Posted 16 years agoWell some changes for the better at the skunk home.
I got accepted as a driver for a local bus / shuttle company called Rover / Krapf's Bus services, making 12 an hour. Excellent benefits and no drama like the college had.
But thankfully the college did let me get experience in driving their shuttle buses, Ford 15 passenger F450 shuttles, thankfully with no accidents.
When me and Bunny and Rachael were driving around, looking for work since I got laid off for summer shutdown, we seen the Rover shuttle Busses driving by, and she suggested that I apply, since a courier position went belly up.
After doing all kinds of background checks, fingerprints, even child abuse investigations, they finally hired me. I'm starting at the end of the week.
Only bad thing, is my shift is a split shift, meaning go in early in morning, and then go back in afternoon to nighttime. But thats not bad as I get to spend some time home during the day.
Part 2 of good news, we are moving out of the barn apartment ....
... to a HOUSE. (Holy rat petunias Yawg Boy o.0)
A reply came to our Craiglist ad saying we were looking for a better place to move that wouldn't do credit checks. One local guy who runs a local car repair shop had one he was just refinishing inside, a 100 year old home, but all completely new inside.
A small yard and 3 floors, second will be Rachael's, and 3rd is ours. Only thing we have to get used to is the spiral stairway that almost twists on itself as it goes upward. It's fairly tight going up so we have to hug against the wall, till we get used to it.
Already has 2 full baths with a full tub in each, (I absolutely HATE the sit down tiny assed tubs you cannot lay down in.) Oil heat, and new paint, carpets, and its soundproof because the walls are almost a foot - or - two thick of stone and rock-concrete mix. Already wired for cable tv and new washer dryer next to kitchen, and all new appliances too.
We will sadly be losing the deposit on this place, but we THINK we can swing it, and the landlord dosen't mind, just as long as he is paid sometime.
This apartment was not very good to us, it had mold, leaks everywhere, cheap assed landlords who only wanted money but didn't lift a finger when problems arose.
Wish us luck, we need it.
Will post pictures when we get moved.

thinking of a few things... good tho ^^
General | Posted 16 years agoFirstly, for the furry community, I am gonna start asking if anyone is interested in commissions if ya wanna see what I can offer.
Since i'm not REALLY that good, I will let 'YOU' decide the price of the sketches, as I only draw in pencil, and ink with ball point pens.
One character at a time firstly, and as I get better I will offer more.
Sound reasonable?
And secondly... we are thinking of selling our 1995 Chevy Astro.
4.3 motor, auto tranny, all mechanicals either redone or up to date.
New brakes, new tires, new steering components, and new radiator, all parts and labor was over 2,000 dollars and we spent 1500 on the van to buy it.
The van is white with black side windows. All it needs is some paint, and thats it.
Thinking of even trading it for a full size conversion van, or even a 1991-1996 Chevy Caprice-Impala wagon (The Round body styled wagons)
Pics available on request...
Interested? drop me a line...

Karl Malden passes away....
General | Posted 16 years agoKarl Malden, actor, broadway actor, and American express pitchman passes away at 97.
Malden died of natural causes surrounded by his family at his Brentwood home, they told the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences. He served as the academy’s president from 1989-92.
“Karl lived a rich, full life,” Academy president Sid Ganis said. “He has the greatest and most loving family; a career that has spanned the spectrum of the arts from theater to film and television, to some very famous commercial work.”
While he tackled a variety of characters over the years, he was often seen in working-class garb or military uniform.
