Hey Guys!

I'm leaving for Anthrocon TOMORROW! So excited! *_* I'm road tripping it with the Kikibee girls ( http://kikibee.kina-ink.com )  inaliak inaliak and  horsefeather horsefeather as well as my hubby and inaliak's, hehe. I'm so glad we're going a day early this time so we'll have time to set up, also staying a day later to have all our energy to drive back. We're driving from Ottawa, so it's a bit of a distance, about 9 hours. The last time we went it was somewhat hectic >.O; but it should be better this year! I'm so excited! I already said that! But I am!

I have a whole bunch of new prints (compared to when I last went!) But if you were for any strange reason at anime north and are also going to anthro con, there may not be much that's new! Except for our AMAZING ART BOOK!

We made a smallish paper book (not hard bound or anything) grayscale booklet of sketches, inks and works in progress. We'll be selling them in threes (One from each Kikibee girls)

So I got married this weekend! It was beautiful, it was wonderful, it was awesome. I have also managed to update my site, which I am quite surprised at myself. But yeah, I did some doodles, nothing fancy, but still a bit! Here's a shot from our wedding taken from Brad's grampa, our semi official/unofficial photographer.

So yeah. I actually am updating on time today, which is different from the last one, hehe. I normally prep everything the night before, scans and whatnot, but it's been super crazy lately because I'm planning my wedding <3 Thaaaat's right, Noxxe and I are getting married May 10th! (as in, in less than 2 weeks!) It's going to be a smallish event which is why it's so soon/short notice. Thank you for all of the well wishes I've already received so far! I'll see if I can post a couple of pics after the big day.

Funny thing is, I'll be married by the time Anime North comes around! Crazy! And he's coming with me to AN, most likely <3

Commissions are closed, so that I have time to finish the ones that I already have, as well as work a bit on some convention material. I also feel like I really need to build up a portfolio with more job-related skills and whatnot. All I have right now are drawings and websites I've done mostly for myself, it's hard to show people employable skills if you only do the same kind of thing over and over.

BUT ANYWAY! I am almost done this picture. Almost. So close. I didn't update my site this morning because I wanted to get home and finish this picture before I updated my site. Also since I *have* nothing to update my site WITH, it would be kind of pointless.

So yes! I am still working on the Lue Geisha picture, but now I am mostly just adding textures since all o the actual colouring is finished. I will hopefully be posting it before the end of the day! (i.e. prior to.. midnight? I hope?)

So I hope everyone had a nice long weekend of some sort. I actually got a 5 day weekend because I worked from home on Thursday <3 It was awesome. It made it so much more painful once I had to go back to work though, ugh!

Well it's Tuesday, which means I updated my site. [ http://www.kina-ink.com ]

I added some new pics, as well as the in progress shot of what I was working on over the weekend at Kikibee. Check it out :) I foresee less art making this week because I'm mostly doing music practice.. I neglected it all last week and now I have to catch up!

I will also be adding some new commission categories; flat colours. Basically an inked image with simple/flat colours applied. This way you get an idea of what the character looks like in colour, but it gets finished a whole lot quicker (and not to mention, cheaper) because I don't have to shade it.

I also wanted to add realistic portraits to my commissions because of some suggestions/comments I've received from people regarding my latest upload. A lot of people didn't know I did that kind of stuff and I'd like them to know that it's an option :)

Well tomorrow is the last day of March. Pretty crazy if you ask me. I can't believe how fast time flies when you're working full time. It's almost depressing, but at the same time, it means the summer is rushing forward faster than ever and that makes me really happy :)

I had an amazing time with the girls during Kikibee. I'm never more relaxed than when I'm cozy and curled up with a drawing that I'm happy to be working on that is going well. I can look up and ask them for advice, give them advice, or simply join in on gushing over someone else's amazing artwork. All the while, listening to great music and seeing rain fall on the windows. I wish it could last a whole week instead of just two days.

I didn't finish as many pictures as I wanted to this weekend, but I got a good chunk done on the next one that I'm working on. I've been mostly just cleaning up and colouring old sketches recently. It makes me feel good to finish older works because I felt that I did so many sketches over the last year that were so quickly tossed aside when they were finished that I was worried I'd just completely lost my desire or ability to finish an image. And then again after all of those sketch commissions, if felt like I'd never get back on board for finishing things.

Anyway, this is just a random post saying hi after the weekend. Thank you so much if you were watching my work at any time on ustream over the weekend, I loved every last comment and appreciated the company <3

Please go see! I am a part of a 3 member art collective with Kailani and Zeralia, where we get together once every couple of months to do nothing but draw commissions! It's always the highlight of my week.. or month, rather! I love spending time with these girls, especially wheni t's to do what we love most!

Thank you first of all to all of the new watchers! I really appreciate it. I hope that I can do you proud with lots of new submissions very soon :)

And for the rest of you.. (man that sounded kind of sinister) I'm so sorry for not having been active for over 6 months! ;_; SHAAAME I know :( Sigh. Well it hasn't only been FA, but the net in general. In the past 6 months I...

- Graduated from university (yay BFA in fine arts! XD)
- Got a brand spankin' new job!
- Moved out into my own very first new place
- Spent the summer on the road, From FL, NJ, SC, CA and more.. mostly a round trip all over the states visiting friends.
- Spent one month in Southern Africa! (YAY LIONSSSS)
- Got engaged :3 <3

So yeah, needless to say, it's been incredibly busy! Now that the new year has started, I have been slowly settling into a normal routine. I have also made doing commissions a part of this routine. I am currently open for commissions! I haven't put a price list on here yet, so I'm afraid I will have to refer you to my deviantart journal until I have something up on the web.

Well it's the end of the year and time for the ol' retrospective.. I won't get into details, but just say that it's been an interesting year. Yeah I was my own 300th visitor! I thought that was pretty funny. But anyway.. It's been a while since I posted anything, mostly because all of the artwork that I've been doing recently has all been for school! So annoying! I am getting so sick of doing homework 24/7... Soon I will be finished and I will be able to relax. That of course, is after a month of crazy assignments.

School is officially over December 4th.. Eep! That means less than a month to do everything! *freaks out*

Well here is my first post. I had heard about this place a while ago, but just never got around to actually checking it out. I'm looking forward to seeing what other artists are posting on here! Since I went to Anthrocon last year, I've heard a lot about this place, so yes, I've finally given in :p
