Adoptables Withdrawn + Explanation
Posted a year agoHey all, just wanted to give a bit of an update on the current batches of Adoptables and why they've been pulled back for the time being--and I do apologize if there was anyone quietly considering picking one up buuuuuuut--
--it's been roughly 2 months since I posted the most recent batch of Adoptables (the Clefable Hybrids) and longer than that since the Clearance batch--although 2 member of that batch did get picked up, and much thanks to the ones that picked them up--and that combined with quite a lot going on both personally and abroad, including receiving a somewhat pricey medical bill recently, was dragging my mood down into the pits, as it were. Some friends of mine discussed possible reasons as to why the Clefable batch and the remaining members of the Clearance batch weren't quite hooking as many buyers--if at all--as I had hoped:
Possible Reason 1) The choice of species for the adoptables; either the hybrid/fusion aspect of most of the Adoptables turned off any potential buyers, or perhaps the individual species themselves weren't "popular" enough to attract any interest.
More-Likely Reason 2) The "character" of each Adoptable appeared to be too "established" via outfits or occupation, leaving not much room for potential buyers to envision a character of their own to project onto the "doll", so to speak.
It is for those reasons that I have taken down the Adoptable Pages for the time being, whilst I plan a new set of Adoptables that are overall simpler than the recent attempts--hoping enough of those will sell in order to break even on the medical costs--but I will see about re-releasing the withdrawn Adoptables at a later time. 'Course I'm also (almost) always open for commissions, so please do message me if anyone is interested!
