Homeless Update #2
Posted 7 years agoI've made it to portland but I still don't have a home. There's three of us currently together. We're temp staying with a friend till the third but after that we'll be living in the van again. We gave our puppy to the Humane Society because we're unable to care for her in this state.
I still have my fundraiser up and going because it's extremely expensive to be homeless unforutunately..

Any thing helps even just advertising the fundraiser helps. We currently plan to go to centers to find low income housing but things are a bit slow because we have a lot to do and such like transfering stuff over to the new state. A lot of these things also unfortunately cost money.
On top of that we have some debt to clear which i'm unable to afford currently. I just wanted to update every one on what's going on currently. We need all the help we can get right now as we're under an intense amount of stress and we all have our own mental issues making things go slower.
Some places i'm honestly afraid to go to for help because i'm transgender and not only is one of our families homophobic but some places are also generally homophobic/anti trans (Like churches)

bill.cipher and Drunkle-stan (on tumblr) we’re on our way to Portland to stay with a friend and find a house.
We’re doing ok for now. I just wanted to update and talk about what’s going on.
I haven’t had much time to use my laptop and my phone data is crap right now. Surprisingly my wheelchair has held up though ! We’re waiting for when I get my check though so I’m able to get us some food, payback Stan stan and get more dog stuff.

Basically, my sister stole a lot of our stuff, called the cops on us after I got into an altercation with her. The cops evicted me and my two roommates out of my own house after berating us because we should be able to do work and clean the filthy house my parents lived in. He constantly invalidated our CPTSD and issues because he’s able bodied and doesn’t have mental problems.
So somehow we should be able to do what he can. Every time we packed my bitch sister got into our stuff or kicked it around or her husband did. I don’t wanna go super into it but I’m traumatized by the ordeal.
The cop also threatened me while I was having a full-blown panic attack that was very severe. Continued to tell us how able-bodied he was and how he had a car accident and was able to go back to work two days later which my friend said later that’s like claiming your not homophobic because you have a gay friend which was pretty true.
The cop is basically calling CPS and DHS on her for letting her child live in a filthy house and demanded we pitch in o take care of a baby that has nothing to do with us and clean the house even tho we had to pack. He also threatened my animals so we had to grab them quickly with no prep and leave within 2 days. I told my mom I was scared they’d take my animals away as well and the cop just blurted out don’t give me a reason to so...
My dad claimed if we left the animals with them they’d legally be his and we didn’t like the implication as he’s claimed he wants to keep them all.
Tl;DR: We were threatened by cops who were called by my sister because I punched her in self-defense after she swung at me and threatened me. The cops said we were petty to be upset over the theft and emotionally and verbally abused us.
If that sounds scattered it’s hard to talk about.

Update #2
Posted 8 years agoI'm back in Arkansas but I'm still in the process of moving. A lot to pack, a lot of stuff happened. I ended up back in the hospital this time for my back and was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease and spinal stenosis. I don't have time to go to a spine doctor at the moment unfortunately either like they want me to.
They only gave me a week's worth of heavy duty pain killer and anti-inflammatories. I'm still super busy trying to get everything done. My friends have been taking good care of me but I keep getting sick, unfortunately. I just got over the flu but I have a chronic cough I can't seem to shake so I may be right back to the doctors, unfortunately.
Also, we may have to look at different housing options but I'm still alive at least. Not dead yet anyway.
Just really exhausted and sleep deprived right now...
On top of that, my birthday is coming up in a few weeks so there's that.
i'm also gonna try to do some sort of fundraiser for a new wheelchair as the one I have right now is falling apart sadly.

Posted 8 years agoI wanted to post this while I had my laptop on me. I lost my phone and had to get a new one dang... I haven't been able to access anything without my laptop due to the last pass stuff I'll look into that later but anyway boy I have a lot to talk about.
I've been in and out of the hospital, still in Texas btw. I got to hang out with my awesome friend
RainbowflavoredChaos and I've been staying with bill.cipher all this time and his cute bf Stan.
I caught the flu, Got assaulted had to get stitches and then my back gave out completely. Turns out I have Spinal Stenosis and degenerative disc disease in my L discs... I'll be going to a specialist.
The Grunks (my friends Beale and Stan) are coming with me as well! I'm super excited as I also get to meet more of my online friends. It's been really up and down but I've gotten to meet several online friends and strengthen friendships into IRL friendships. Didn't get to hang out with everyone I wanted to but hopefully, when I come back to Texas I can do that.
Also forgot to mention I finally got to meet my future service dog <3 !! She's a keeper for sure. I'm doing ok, I got an amazing support group going on right now and i'm out of my rough ass household and should be permanently very soon.
Wanted to update everyone on my situation as I've been quiet for over a week. Also with my art partner in person, I should def be able to nail all owed art hella quick. And reopen our Etsy shop c:

Posted 8 years agoCurrently, i'm in Texas right now. I'm in the process of packing my GF's house with some friends. The net isn't too good here and I haven't had much time to use the laptop in the first place. Making good progress though and found out we had more time than we originally thought.
Everything is currently on hold and messages and notes or whatever will get delayed responses. Hopefully, within a month or two everything is back to normal.
Originally I planned to be back to my house by now to work on stuff but plans change so owo.
Hopefully though shortly i'll have time to draw and work on owed art.

Posted 8 years agodid anyone get a weird email from PayPal saying they'd have to upgrade their website or merchant or something to higher security or you'd be limited? I don't have a website like that so I don't know why I got the email... I've emailed them about it but I suggest checking your emails just in case.

Posted 8 years agoAlright, soon I'll be releasing three species into the art world. 1 closed, 2 semi-open. What does semi-open mean? It means as long as the adopt/character follows the guidelines and is accepted by me or one of the admins of the species you're good to go.
Closed ? I'll sell adopts/myos of them that's the only way you'll get one unless I gift you a myo slot. Easy enough right!
I really really hope you guys enjoy them and their lore too. 2 of them have several years of work put into them.

An Idea for artists
Posted 8 years agoI propose an idea. Something to fight the algorithm on sites like Tumblr, Instagram, and Facebook. For artists, I had the idea of forming a Server on discord where we share our usernames with each other, share and comment and reblog each other's art to help each other get noticed. Get our names out there! If anyone is interested in this post, Fav it, comment on it and share it!
I'd also include advice on how to submit to groups on here to fight the new group algorithm.
note: this isn't just on Tumblr! It's For Deviantart, Instagram, FA, Facebook. Anywhere we can post our art it's for! I'd also like to be able to include tutorials, and guides on how to get more noticed and improve art on the server too.

Make a post in your journal containing your list of 13 holiday wishes.
The wishes can be anything at all, from simple to really big.
The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
If you wish for real-life things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where folks could get in touch with you.
Step 2
Surf around other lists to see who has posted their list. If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true.
Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call. There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special

Basically, come the 31st, a lot of us older ladies/gents/others don't really go out for the holiday @.@
So why not do something fun online?
Concept:
On the 30th of October, post a journal that's called LIGHTS ON
This shows that your "porch light" is on and you're accepting Trick or Treaters.
People can come to your journal and comment "Trick or Treat!" or whatever other code word you'd like to use.
At which point, the creator of the journal can offer up small sketches or the like as treats for who comments.
And, as to not overwhelm people, you can set a limit as to how many trick or treaters you'll take.
Everyone runs out of candy eventually! Once you hit your limit you can change your journal to Lights off or closed, etc.
I feel this could be a chance for some people to get some art and have fun while doing it as well~
Also, please don't be greedy! Be courteous to your other Trick or Treaters!
Tell me what y'all think! If you like this idea, please spread it around by copy pasting this journal! Hopefully, we can get a fair amount of people interested in this :D

Posted 8 years agoI'm gonna finish my commissions real quick hopefully. I'm making some good progress and then it's on to those owed raffle prizes and trades. I'm gonna be opening for commissions here too with my new updated examples as I still need money for moving and I'm getting a bed. Though that means I'm unable to buy anything this month expenses happen and I badly need a new bed.
Therapy is going good too and I got good advice on my art career. I'm feeling a lot more confident too with my art. Thanks to the Gofund me I'm able to have some money toward that bed to <3 Thank you all whose donated.
As for my art, I"m getting a lot faster at completion and I'm now able to offer rush commissions. Well not quite yet but my next opening I will be! I will only be taking one rush commission at a time though. With the quickest finish date to be a few days for large projects. I hope to be able to finish icons within a few days as well.

Posted 8 years agoI'm almost done with that project I mentioned in the last journal so as soon as i'm done with that i'll be grinding out a ton of sketches I owe as I've gotten very used to using photoshop to the point i'm comfortable enough to get things done a looot faster.

The good news is I purchased lazy nezumi pro so I'll be able to continue using photoshop with a stabilizer meaning higher art quality! I'm also going to be delving into Inkscape as well to see what I can do with it.
