So, I watched this since pickings for furry stuff after Beastars and BNA is kinda slim. And I had seen some recommendations to give it a chance. So, I did. Annnnd... it's alright? It's very formulaic, the plot is rushed as hell, so the world building is a lot of 'tell don't show'. It's like they started out with a pitched for an 8–10-episode tv series and could only get okayed for a 1 hour and 1/2ish long movie. Visuals are good, the skunk which... watching the trailers I thought was a dude... is actually a girl... and kinda cute to boot, stands out. Some visuals though don't mesh with the movie's tone though, as certain characters would have made more sense in an Angry Birds movie instead of this. (You'll know it when you see it, they just don't fit well imho.)

The plot though... is a rushed mess, and like I said lots of 'tell don't show' and it's told then you're whiplashed into that plot point a second later. Should have been either a lot longer, or certain things like the aforementioned visuals that don't fit the rest of the film cut out, so the actual antagonist gets more time than "He was here, he got jealous, now he's bad and power hungry... also he's already in prison." (I see you trying and utterly failing at copying Tai Lung from Kung Fu Panda.)

Overall all it's okay, not worth the hype, but certainly the definition of a 6/10 movie.

Oh and all the characters outside of the skunk, protagonist, side kick, main villain, and father figure SUCK.


And now I just wait for the next seasons of Camp Cretaceous and Kengan Asura to justify 17 bucks a month on this thing.

So yesterday, once again a far-right wing white supremacist has gone on a shooting rampage. Which honestly shouldn't a be surprised because thanks to the emboldening by fascist and far right leaders and political figures *cough* Trump, Alex Jones, Tucker Carlson, etc. *cough*, even now after a change in management, white supremacists have never felt safer in carrying out these terrorist attacks.

But of course, the conservatives are more worried about their guns being taken away, then the fact a white supremacist LIVESTREAMED ON TWITCH the execution of ten people, and injured 3 more, like it was a god damn video game. They'll say he's just mentally ill, while also not doing a damn thing for people who actually ARE mentally ill. Especially considering the kid had made threats to shoot up his school and was just 'referred' to get mental help. And blame the dreaded 'woke' 'cancel culture' forcing CRT down the throats of kids. All of which is a made-up myths that just further fuel the fires of extremists. People like Trump and Tucker Carlson have the blood of these victims on their hands.

And don't give me this bullshit about both sides. Because the left doesn't have the same sheer amount of racial and politically motivated mass shootings and terrorist attacks. How many more people have to die in grocery stores, churches, and public gatherings before white supremacism and far right extremism/fascism is made the number 1 threat in the world?

So, I've told a few people about this but a week ago, I had to rush my brother to the hospital because of an issue with his toe & foot. Last Sunday before getting dressed he was bit on the toe by a brown recluse hiding in his boot. With stubbornness being a family trait, we still set up his flea market stall and worked it, that night he noticed a bloody blister and cut it to drain it. He was washing it Monday, but Tuesday the toe had turned black, and he was getting severe chills.

At the hospital his blood pressure was through the roof, and he's been in the hospital since. What had happened was the bite had destroyed tissue in his big toe, and that tissue got infected, and the infection got into his blood. They tried to save his toe but this morning they had to take the toe in order to save his foot.

These last couple years have been pretty bad for my brother, he had a stroke, which made him lose his CDLs and basically become unemployable. Now this. At least it might have scared him enough to quit smoking but it's still terrible for him.

Quit my job at the museum in disgust today. I can't believe I'm having to deal with a coworker CHEERING the fucking Russians and claiming the deep state is behind all of the stuff making Putin look bad. That Putin is just targeting military and pedos bullshit. Claiming no civilians have been bombed and it's all crisis actors in makeup. No surprise they are an extreme right fascist and antisemite to boot. The curator just said nothing while he ranted, also claimed your typical deep state, boo Biden, hooray Trump, and George Soros conspiracies as well. Outright denied Russians were targeting civilians and when I showed the damaged apartment of a friend of a friend's he laughed about it.

So yeah, I'm done. Curator emailed me, begging me to come back but I said it's basically him or me. And I've been the Historian and Museum Guide Leader for nearly 10 years now.


That said, with all that's going on, please remember there are a lot of people here on FA and in the fandom that are from Ukraine, Russia, and neighboring countries as well. They didn't choose to be a part of this, so please don't attack anyone based on their nationality.

The judge in this trial is a fucking joke, and should have been pulled off the case the moment he said the people the little shit Nazi murdered couldn't be called victims and hamstrung the prosecution every fucking way the wind blows. Still hoping the fucker ends up in the grey bar motel where he belongs for life, but it isn't looking like it.

So... yeah, she didn't even make it to hospice care. I don't know what else to really say, I mean I knew it was going to be at any moment, but it's also really hard on my cousins, since they lost their mom and dad, back to back over the course of less than a couple of weeks?

My uncle's funeral was held Monday, and today I just found out my aunt was rushed back into surgery and the infection is so bad, there's now nothing that can be done for her. She's being moved to hospice care and has about a week to live by the doctor's estimate.

I've been playing this close to chest for a couple weeks and trying to put on a smiley face, but I found out today my uncle has passed away.

It all started when my uncle's brother showed up to the house, when my uncle was out, and found my aunt passed out and unresponsive. My aunt was rushed to the hospital and it was found out she had sepsis of the blood. Well when my uncle found out, he just sat in his chair for a couple days, didn't eat or drink anything and was also found unresponsive by his brother, so he was rushed to the hospital.

He also had sepsis in the blood, and a really badly infected leg he'd been hiding from everyone. (And it was about a year or so ago he fell and broke his leg, while trying to carry yard furniture up a flight of steps, and I blame myself for not noticing he was even TRYING to, as he'd bought it from my mom, and I was delivering it and carrying a chair up the steps on my own. And everyone tells me I'm not to blame, but as I was the one there... should have seen him try, should have told him not to help.)

So, right now, my aunt has been in and out of consciousness, they had to amputate her leg to stop the infection. She caught pneumonia, got better, but has a fever that comes and goes, and is pretty weak. From what my cousins tell me as they are the only ones allowed to see her, she hasn't realized her leg is gone, but does know she's really sick. So, she 'might' make it, but it's still not a good outlook for her. Her white blood count is really high, and she's beat cancer once, but chemo really tore her up in the process.

Now my uncle, was so bad off that they put him on life support almost immediately but was taken off of it a few days ago, so this was inevitable, but today just... it sucks.

I'm trying to stay creative right now with art, writing, hobbies, etc.

I'm not going to take any time away (mostly cause right now I need distractions and serotonin inducing activities) but I felt like sharing this now that I at least know part of this is over. I'm just hoping my aunt makes a recovery, while my folks pretty much threw me to the wolves when I went to college, my aunt was always supporting me when I needed it. My cousins don't deserve to lose both their parents in one blow either.

As far as HOW both of them got sepsis in the blood, and infection being in their legs. I don't know. I really don't know.

Also debating on changing my prices on my artwork. Probably be a minor up in price. Just to keep up with the times. Probably work on dipping my toes into making more adoptable, and other quick stuff too. And I'm debating about going fully digital. For those that don't know. I normally sketch by hand with pencils, scan the picture in, and then take it to krita to finish color and effects. That said. I feel like I can improve better by doing it all digitally. And if I can figure out how to do it. I 'might' start streaming. I got Streamlabs OBS and a picarto account, but I have zero idea about what I'm doing as I can't get nothing to work.

Also would like to learn how put stuff up on twitch and livestream x-wing games once that starts back up in person again and would like to get into learning how to get a youtube show going as well. OF what though? I have no idea. There's a lot I want to talk about, Carolina Panthers/sports in general, X-wing, politics, furry stuff, etc.
