Hello dears, just wanted to let everyone know that I've been feeling unwell the past few
days and I am /still/ feeling unwell so I'm unable to work for the time being... It's been
incredibly frustrating to say the least, but what can you do? Gotta put health first and all haha orz

Hello everyone, so since I have finally more or less gone through my queue from
a few months back, I decided to make a new journal to finally bump away the other long one ; w;

And also to thank everyone who helped contribue to aiding my family with funds,
whether it was commission or donation, really.. I feel so warm and welcomed in this
community and it's unbelieveable, you are all so very kind and I will continue to do my best
to work harder and create art that makes people smile at the very least. My uncle is very
sheepish when accepting any kind of donation/financial help but I want you all to know how
much it helped and I know that everyone's thoughts and prayers have helped him get
through some very tough times.

Thankfully, things are starting to pick up and I do feel a warmer ambience returning to my
family's situation. I hope it continues this way and I will keep positive for whatever comes!

I also want to let everyone know that I will be updating my commission sheet, I tend to do
so twice a year...but, even if it's difficult to price your own art, I feel it's worthwhile in the
long run. It also motivates me more to do more detailed work and I want to become better!
I will also be considering adding in Paypal fees as an additional fee to the final price, since
they are slowly but surely adding up.. Though I still need to think this through. It's usually
a couple or a few dollars more but, we shall see!

((EDIT :: SO I learned thankfully from the kind honeebunny that it's against PP's TOS
to charge fees !! Good to know ;v; !! Which means, it's a good idea to look into these
things before making decisions, which I'll do better in the future! <3 ))

Hello dear watchers and friends, I hate to say but I am feeling incrediby heartbroken right now and I just need to reach out.. I don't like to post personal problems, I can't even speak openly about them with friends sometimes but this is just too much and it is affecting the closest people in my life and I can't sit back and just watch things fall apart again. They have been falling apart since September of last year and it has been an ongoing nightmare, but today was very bad news again which felt like a sledgehammer blow to all of us.

I don't even know where to begin but, to put it more simply, my uncle is going through a very, very twisted and horrible divorce right now. I mentioned this rather vageuely in my journal 6 months ago.

Divorces are awful and sad and this is one of the worst cases I have lived through in the sidelines. The worst part is, it is bringing my beloved family down with it. I am not close with much of my family, other than these people, including my grandparents, two uncles, two cousins, and then my immediate family. They are my world, and have been ever since I could remember. Coming from a hispanic upbringing and family values and culture, I can only say that it feels most important to me now than ever. Right now we are at our closest and despite my uncle and everyone else living hours away from us, I want to reach out and embrace everyone if I could.

I don't know how many details I can get into, or if I'm even allowed because I don't want to jeopardize anything either but the woman who married my uncle is tearing our lives down through him in this awful divorce, be it financially or fighting for the custody of the kids, my two cousins. Those kids are my uncle's world too and he is one of the most kind, giving, people I have known in my life. He is also the person who inspired me to start drawing when I could first hold a pencil. I wish I could tell my life story in such a short amount of space but it would be impossible.

I can't say what FEELS worse, but one of the saddest parts of this too is my cousins are being taken out of my grandparents lives. Besides my brother and I, my cousins are the only other two grandchildren they have and they are both so young. It kills me to know how heartbroken they are feeling, not only for their grandchildren's livelihood and saftey and happiness right now but also my uncle's livelihood and happiness. They have already lost more than 6 months worth of time being able to spend time with them, among a list of other things. My family gets to see them two days a week on weekends, at BEST and not even all weekends.

It has been an endless list of injustices, mistreatment and simply put, downright cruelty and hatred coming from the woman who divorced my uncle. I am upset to admit, I have never felt such sadness or disgust towards anyone else in my life.

I know it's still not over, but things are not looking well. The battle keeps dwindling down to failure but I won't give up hope and I really want to help give my uncle the strength he needs, in what ways I can. I won't give up on hope and tranquility to come for my uncle and my family, and especially for my cousins who are in the middle of all this mess.

This has been an awful ongoing nightmare as i mentioned, though I don't have the heart to disclose more details about it publicly.. If you would like to know more for whatever reason, and if we are mutuals, feel free to note me. It's just too much going on so I am trying to encourage my mom and immediate family right now that things can still turn around eventually.

One of the struggles that has always been in the way is financially...it's always a burden and I know so many battle with this but things are dire again for my family so I want to do what I can. All the funds I will be making will be going directly to my uncle and grandparents to help with food costs and anything else I can help with.

I am opening up sketch commissions, since I don't have time to do anything colored or more intensive right now.

I am also going to open up a donation button in a little bit, if anyone would like to offer and contribute.
I greatly appreciate it if you do, though there is no need to either <3

I really wish things didnt come down to money, but in reality they do. And I honestly wish all of you out there are doing okay financially. Despite my circumstances, art is not a necessity though it's what I can offer at the moment. So any of you who feel they are able to commission me, I really want you to understand how much I am humbled and appreciate it, wholeheartedly. Thank you..

Sketch commissions won't be closing for a while, but I am still going to take them via waitlist in the case I am unable to finish or take on more than I can manage. I am also going to start uploading more handmade things to my etsy shop if anyone is interested. I already have a couple arcrylic charms and mini prints there to look at.

To those who have read all of this, thank you so much. If you can, please keep my family and my uncle in your thoughts and prayers, he sounded beyond heartbroken on the phone and needs all the positive vibes he can get right now..

Hello dears, these days have been rather hectic for me, busy with family and
things but I finally have a breather this week to catch up on my remaining two
commissions! One is almost done and the other is on it's way ;w;

I'm slowly going to start merging my more "professional" art accounts with the
art I show here because I feel like I've been secluding most of my work just here,
and for many personal reasons...but still! I want to start being more open with
myself and allowing me to be me, even in the 'professional' world. I'm not sure if
that makes too much sense but...essentially, I want to share my work with all
audiences and people I can reach someday C:

So! I'd like to share my etsy shop here with you dears, it's a bit bare for the moment
but I will be adding handmade charms and maybe more small prints in the future c:

I also have a lot of artwork besides commission work to catch up on so I will
probably only have sketch commissions available till further notice. I think

So I'll be opening up commissions again soon, this time with a new price sheet around!
It's always hard for me to edit prices, which I feel is a common thing among artists but
I really want to give myself the worth I feel with my work, especially since I can spend
like 4-6 hrs per drawing. Plus the extra $5 or $10 here and there make a difference when
adding up, especially with expenses... I'm always willing to hear your thoughts and suggestions though ; w;

This time around too I'll be offering fairytale styled commissions, like this and this, so
there will be sweet soft rainbow/cloud/castle/trees for backgrounds and such. And I really
want to expand on poses, since I know for my lolita commissions I tend to do similar standing ones ahah ;;;

I have a lot going on in my plate, art wise, so this means I'll be taking a few slots at a time... like 3-4 at most

I have been thinking about doing a raffle art giveaway for some time now,
and this will be geared towards those of you who have commissioned me
before! I want to do something to show my thanks for your support in my
work ever since I have joined FA ; w;

Hello dears, my family is in dire need of funds due to recent circumstances so I am going
to be in super work mode for however long it takes to see my family situation calm down.
I cannot take an over amount of work, since that sent me down an ill road earlier this
summer but I need to do something to help..

I don't have it in me to ask for donations, and I know with the holidays rolling around
the corner it's going to be difficult for many. But I will work for art, I'm willing to push
my art limits and try new things, if you would like to see such. Still nothing NSFW at
ALL but different character species, body types, it will depend per case but please ask
if you want to know for sure! My holidays this year are looking rather sad for my family
as things are now, so I have to keep positive and keep working

Goodness it has been a long and difficult summer, well a difficult year so far but things are feeling more normal again for me healthwise and stress wise as the days go by. As the title says, I'm closing my commissions indefinitely; no it's not forever! But after the very long chain of migraine headaches I've been enduring for the past two weeks, I am in dire need of a break, doctor's orders. I did this to myself but I can't help wanting to draw and do so much in a short amount of time ;;;;;

I have been through a lot of pain (with added dizziness) again in the past couple of days, and I really have to resist trying to work too much. I'm hoping to feel healthy enough to attend a con this weekend to see my friend, and the thought of me missing out after waiting all year is quite depressing so I have to do my best to feel better.. I've been through different kinds of pain but nothing that has ever lasted me this long, so it's very very frustrataing. At least I get to sit down and watch cute disney movies in the mean time ;;;;

I want to thank those of you who wished me well before, and have been sending notes, I really appreciate it and find comfort in your kindness <3

Hello dears, I just wanted to let all my current commissioners know that it will take me a bit more time to complete your drawings.

Ever since Sunday morning, I woke up with the most painful headache I could possibly describe ;;; and have been dealing with ongoing migraines. I tried to just get sleep and take something for the pain to go away but nothing seemed to help and the pains would just continue on and off. Needless to say I was considering going to the ER but luckily it didn't get that far, though I went to the doctor today and got some prescription meds for the pain. It seems that I've just been over stressing and overworking the past few weeks. I haven't had so much of a real break and I would overwork into the very late night hours and have been neglecting my health I suppose ;;; so I reaaaally need to take things slower and easier.

I'm working on several projects and crafts outside of my commission work here mostly for upcoming dates and deadlines, but I've reduced a lot of the work to just focus on fewer things per day. I want to kindly ask for your patience and understanding, I do not want to rush through commissions at all and want to give each piece the same dedication and work I always put. You have all been so very sweet and kind and I greatly appreciate that, and I hope you can trust me to keep doing what I do, while keeping an eye on my health more this time around ; w;

I've been going through an on and off struggle with my art lately it seems,
so I was curious to see what you lovelies thought about my work.

What do you like about it? What do you not like about it? What more would
you like to see? What's your favorite piece in my gallery and why?

I'm up for any sort of critique, I really do want to improve and sometimes
I don't see where I'm at fault, despite my tendencies to be very perfectionistic
with my work haha.

Hi everyone, I am planning to re-open commissions in early February
(with a new sheet and prices), once I finish up this current batch!
But I thought since Valentine's day is right around the corner, I'd offer
up one freestyle request drawing (will most likely be chibi or something
cutesy) that will look something like these:

Perhaps a dear friend or someone you admire, or the love of your life!
Just give me a picture reference of theirs, a description of who they are
to you and what you love/admire about them!

Hello followers, I just wanted to spread the word for Gigi's pet rat Laurund. Unfortunately she needs to have surgery to remove a tumor before it becomes a problem for her health, it's scheduled for Monday but more funds are still needed to cover the costs. The fees are about $240, from my understanding they're for the anesthesia and the fact that it's more of a complicated surgery.

You can find a donation button here at the bottom of Gigi's website, beneath the pictures of Laurund herself! The paypal belong's to Gigi's brother, but he will be transferring all donations to Gigi for the sugery.
