Ori and the Blind Forest is an awesome game. The first time you play it. It's not the kind of game you play a second time. The map is huge, there's tons of backtracking, but no fast travel or warping. And the cutscenes are needlessly slow. You'll spend 5 minutes watching ori walk 5 pixels, then have to wait a minute after that pointless cutscene ends just to get control back and be allowed to move. The cutscenes that actually have shit happening in them seem to be playing at 1/10th speed. You spend 5% of the time playing the game, 30% of the time waiting for a cutscene to end, and 65% of the time going through places you've already finished to get to where you need to go.

So 7 hours into this (That's 30 minutes of progress, 30 minutes of item collecting, 2 hours of cutscenes, and 4 hours of backtracking), I think I find a secret. Instead, thanks to bad game design, I sequence broke without doing any kind of glitch or exploit, and the entire area locked behind me AND the game saved without my permission. I missed a huge chunk of the map just playing normally. So because the dev couldn't be bothered to test the game, I can't get all the items or all the map.

A responsible dev would've patched the game. Maybe changed the level so you can't sequence break, or make a way to get back to the area. Well this dev is a straight up douchebag. Instead of fixing their game, they made a remake that lets you warp back to the locked out area. They make you pay $20 to fix their game.

So either I pay $20 to get the same game I already have but without the bug and play another 7 hours of backtracking, or I restart the game I have and save $20, but still have a bugged game, and still have to put in another 7 hours of waiting for cutscenes to end.

I'm 25

So for the first time, I decided to invite a bunch of furry friends to my birthday on March 5th. Was going to happen before we all went to the movies with the rest of the Vt Furs at 5pm.

One of them had work, and another had to cancel because their friend they were going to be with for the movie wasn't comfortable coming. Both understandable, and not a big deal.

Then, the anti-mask law in Burlington was suspended for Mardi Gras. So an extremely short notice meetup was started. One of the two furries still going to my birthday canceled to go to Mardi Gras. Fine, my birthday was going to have 4 people, two sets of 2 people that didn't even know each other. It was going to suck, so I can't blame them for bailing.

So now my birthday is down to 1 furry and my only 2 friends I had in high school. Well the Mardi Gras meet also prompted the Vt Furs to change the movie meetup to 2 hours later.

I COULD salvage it. I COULD go to the Mardi Gras meet from 11:30-3, which just so happens to end when I told my non-furry friends to come for my birthday. Then I have dinner and go to the movie at 7pm.

But Mardi Gras is a costume thing. Everyone's going to be suiting. And just like every other time the focus is on suiters I'm going to be excluded, and end up feeling lonely and depressed.

I don't know if I can even enjoy the movie meet, because seeing them will remind me of how depressed I am right now.

And my two non-furry friends? I don't deserve them at all. Growing up, I had all my emotions turned off to protect myself. I didn't know what friends were until I moved to Arizona. To me, they were just people I could use to waste time waiting for class. After 3 years of not talking to them while I was in Arizona, I came back. And they still considered me a friend. One of them even loaned me a monitor when my laptop screen broke. Even now, I rarely talk to them because I feel like I don't deserve them.

Also, the english part of the song, "Sullivan, Squishy, Oozma Kappa, Terry I Y, Don, Art, Wazowski", is actually from the pixar movie Monsters University. Oozma Kappa is the name of the fraternity, while the other names are members. I wonder if they got permission for that.

He leaves his piss sitting in the toilet to "save money". He leaves his filth sitting in the bathtub (that I have to clean) because lukewarm water mixed with dead skin heats the house to "save money".

He leaves his tv on for 5 hours when he goes out to the middle of nowhere. He spends who knows how much on gas to drive to maine, or nevada, or some shit. Then turns around immediately because he didn't like the weather. Doesn't even make the trip worth it. He leaves the lights on in the bathroom now, because there are new light bulbs. And treats me and grandma like idiots for turning the lights off when we leave.

He doesn't want to save money, he wants to act like a disgusting pig. He refuses to do things that are second nature to any civilized human over the age of 5.

His leg hurts too much to take a paper plate to the trash. But carrying a full bowl of soup in a giant ceramic mug? Won't spill a drop. His leg hurts too much to get his own coke, or to pick up after himself. But his leg felt fucking fine walking to the car to drive to fucking colorado. It felt fine when he was getting something to eat. It felt fine when he up and decided he needed to turn a trailer (car kind, not house kind) into some kind of fucking shed.

Funny how his leg only hurts when it's something he doesn't want to do. Like, I don't know, ACT LIKE A RESPONSIBLE ADULT?!

He screams at the top of his lungs to summon his wife, makes her run to his room because he might be dying, just to make her watch a stupid commercial or get him a drink, because he's too lazy to get it himself. He makes messes for no reason other than getting satisfaction at the thought of having his personal servant wait on him hand and foot and clean it up for him.

But she's okay with it, because it's always been that way. He's brainwashed her so much that she thinks it's okay for him to treat her like a slave.

He disappears onto random logging roads to eat lunch, phone off. He's broken a rib trying to use a chainsaw in the middle of the woods with nobody around. He drives (see previous rant journal).

He is so fucking stubborn, that he would rather kill himself, and possibly other people, including his wife and grandchildren, than admit he is unfit to drive. My mother and aunts are brainwashed, too. They just ignore it, say "That's just how old people act, you're overreacting. There's nothing wrong with what he's doing." There's nothing I can do but hope that when he DOES kill himself by acting like a fucking toddler (Because that is a foregone conclusion for someone that takes a 90degree turn towards a guardrail because he was scratching his neck, doesn't notice because he stares at his hood while driving, not the road, and them makes fun of people who tell him to stay in his own lane), that he's not so selfish that he will take someone else with him when he does it.

Grandpa doesn't pay attention when he's driving. He often has to slam on the brakes or swerve at the last second when he finally decides to look at what's in front of him. Thought 40 minutes was enough time for him to go 2 miles. Over an hour later, I'm 25 minutes late for something that only lasts 60 minutes. Call at 7:20, he gets there at 7:55, finally get home at 8:25. Then decides to take the scenic route and experiment instead of going the normal way that has only 1 turn. Slams on the brakes in the middle of the intersection and asks "Is this the way to route 7?" which is basically a left turn when the destination is straight. So we take route 7 while he says "I hope we aren't in the oncoming lane" and end up winding through urban roads instead of just going straight (literally) home. He spends more of his time out of his lane than in it. He's driven straight towards a canal, or straight towards a guardrail while scratching his neck. Both times I saved his fucking life, he makes fun of me and says "don't get excited". Selfish, stubborn prick isn't content killing himself, he needs to take one or more people with him, and wreck a car or two. 5 feet away from a car, he'll slam on his brakes or swerve out of the way. Take a tight turn at 40mph. He's the most irresponsible person I've ever met. Insists on killing people with his car, doesn't flush the toilet, doesn't drain the bathtub (I have to scrub his filth off the sides after it's done stewing), spends $100s on gas for a joyride to maine or california only to turn around because he doesn't like the weather (Doesn't even make the trip worth it), goes out to random logging roads in the mountains to have lunch with his permanently off phone, doesn't clean up his messes because his slave of a wife will clean up after him (3 pound bowl of soup? Not a drop spilled. Empty bowl? "I'm handicapped and can't carry anything"), screams at the top of his lungs to get my grandmother to come watch a fucking commercial, has a corded phone in his room for the sole purpose of calling her in the living room so she can get him a soda. It's like living with a spoiled 8 year old brat. But IT'S OKAY because he's old and his retirement pays the bills (And the 2 packs of cigarettes and 12 pack of cokes he goes through every day). Long story short, acts like a child, treats wife like a slave, would rather kill people than admit he's old
