Posted 9 years agoHey guys, I'm sorry I've been really quiet for a while. I'll give a really quick update on everything that's going on with me.
I had a summer job where I was working with disabled children, teaching them art. I just started school again, I'm now in the bachelors of fine art program at UTSA (university of Texas at San Antonio). I'm a black belt candidate in karate, I'll be testing in April or May probably. I started tai chi and kung fu I'm a yellow belt/sash. One of my biggest obsessions right now is that I'm trying to get a motorcycle. I want a motorcycle for multiple reasons. The obvious ones, I want a cheaper vehicle with better gas mileage. And less obvious ones, it has become a newfound love for me, an incredible stress relief and a goal for the future. Before my fiancé and I get married, we want to go on a cross-country ADV (adventure) tour on dual sport motorcycles. I also want to start motovlogging (vlogging, on a motorcycle) once I have my own bike, so I can talk about different stuff, go different places, and just be an all around fun person. This is where I get to the part I need help with. I've been busy with school for so long I've fully regressed away from commissions (and I'm fully aware that I still owe two $10 sketches, which will be very easy to complete). I want to open commissions again so that I can get a motorcycle (I have $1,500 from my summer job, and I need at least another $500 by next weekend to afford the $2,000 used bike I'm looking at). This seems like a rather daunting task, but I will still attempt to keep commissions cheap. My style has changed, though. I'm not doing markers and ink anymore. I am doing painting and more professional-level work. Of course this means that my prices are a little higher than just normal drawings, but I want these to be as affordable for you as I can!

I can work in ink, acrylic, and watercolor, on paper or canvas (canvas will be more expensive). I can ship artwork too (canvas is special quote). I can work big or small. And I am now willing to do ANYTHING. Yes that's right, I will draw porn. The only thing I ask is to be patient with me, I am a full-time student taking 3 studio classes, a lot of my time is dedicated to those pieces. I WILL get your work done, the longer you have to wait the better it will be, and the more experience I will gain in the meantime. (I'm not saying pieces will take several months, but don't expect most stuff to be done next day, ESPECIALLY paintings where paint needs to dry between layers).
Remember, anatomy and musculature is my first love. I can draw females now, and it does not have to be furry-related by any means. I can work on almost any surface (customization, like skateboards, etc).
Please send me a PM if you are interested. Even if it's just a small sketch commission, it is more money than I have right now. I want to be a professional working artist in San Antonio, TX, and if I need to do commissions here in the meantime, I'll gladly do so. New Youtube Channel, and announcement
Posted 9 years agoJust figured I share, in case any of y'all want to come watch some of the videos I currently have up, and any of my future videos. My first video is fairly long, but introduces the whole idea behind the "Therapy Sessions" and what I want the channel to eventually evolve into.
Basically, I'm going to take a drive in my car and talk about shit that's been bothering me. Anything. I don't care if anyone watches, I don't care if people hate it. I'm doing it for myself because it makes me feel better. Maybe one day (when I become a motovlogger) it will become a legit thing, but for now I'm just doing whatever the fuck I want. I completely understand, it's really shitty quality, and I've been whining A LOT lately, and the videos are pretty long... The videos will get better, I promise. I just need a life-style change, and some more experience, and I should be on my way to making fair content.
So listen to me talk about depressing shit while driving to school, or just wait until I become interesting (or don't even watch me at all, I don't give a flying fuck!) I just want to start developing some sort of audience who will offer me feedback. I'm not looking for sympathy or anything at this point, I just want to know what I can do to make my shit better, so once I start really kicking it off (as a motovlogger) I will know I'm not just some annoying bitch talking to herself, lol.

Part of my whole "life-style change" will involve the opening of commissions again, I think. Things are going to get a little complicated this summer (no steady job), so I want to honestly try to make money off of artwork now. You might see a slight increase in my asking price, but I can also offer a lot more now (been an art student). I need money to buy a motorcycle and get rid of my car, unfortunately now my car ain't worth a hell of a lot, so I need to make up the difference. I apologize to all previous commissioners, I was simply working for side money and I became entirely unmotivated, depression has been a serious issue for me. If you watch my YT videos you can hear a little bit about it, albeit not everything has been covered yet. I will get everything done and start working to make a living off of art work. My reputation probably needs fixing by this point, but believe me... I am determined to get myself out of this depressing rut and work to make my 2-wheeled dream a reality. I hope there are at least some of y'all willing to join along with me for the ride. (Thanks to Furvus as my first subscriber, lol)

Posted 9 years agoSo it's been... months... regretfully. Please don't mistake the somber tone for a farewell, but rather a sincere apology. I know there's nothing I can say, no excuse I can make to make my absence okay. There are a lot of friends I haven't talked to in a long time, a lot of people I owe artwork, some, paying customers. There is no excuse... I understand that. But I wanted to offer at least some form of explanation as to why I haven't been around, why I haven't finished the artwork. I hope that everyone can be understanding, even if the reasoning is rather stupid.
This is going to get a little personal, but maybe it's time to let everyone know why.
When I entered college at UTA for Mechanical Engineering, I was excited for prospects to come. Unfortunately it quickly took a nose dive... I had fun when I was with friends, Skyy, Veskar, and all of my Dallas buddies. But school, and being away from home and my fiancé did not treat me very well. If I could have bought my own alcohol I would have definitely been a drunk.. and I hate to admit that I did consider suicide. But that's stupid... of course, killing yourself wont solve anything. But everything seemed so hard to deal with, letting my parents down, constantly fighting, dangerous behavior... it was too much. After a year at that school I dropped out and went back home, and I decided to follow a degree in Fine Art.
It would honestly be a lie to tell everyone that I've been incredibly busy, because that's not true... so I'm sorry to everyone I've told that to. By the time I had started community college I was already so behind on my artwork from the depression of UTA I started kind of freaking out. And I guess the way I am, whenever something stresses me out too much I shut down and try to avoid it. I've been trying to get better, because as most people should know, that shit doesn't fly in a relationship. I am NOT lying, though, when I say that I think about everyone here and all the artwork I need to do every day. It haunts me every single day, the guilt of running from it for so long, the promises that remain to be seen... and I just ran away from it again and again because it hurt too much. Maybe I'm pressuring myself too much, but I only do it because I know I need to get my shit together, because people count on me, because I have friends here.
Part of the absence has also been due to changing views and my relationship. It's been a long time since I considered myself a furry, because I honestly don't any more. Trayton doesn't so much represent me as much as my "mascot" now. I'm probably more boring now, too. My fiancé has admittedly also pushed me away from some of my friends due to the way they've unknowingly treated him. Yeah, some of my friends can be abrasive... and I still love them either way, but I have to stand by my future husband, and when he feels disrespected... there's not a whole lot I can do to argue about it. Don't get me wrong, he tried, but he can be butt hurt at times, but I still love him. I'm sure the certain individual(s) will know who they are, and I would like to specifically apologize to them, when I needed a friend they were always there, and I'm so sorry for pushing you away.
Anyway, classes have been going good, I just got my associates last semester and will hopefully be following a bachelors soon... or just go learn special FX make-up and animatronics on my own. I still feel bad about making my fiancé give up his dreams so I could follow mine, but that's for another time.... So this semester I'm taking all studio classes, Sculpture, Painting, and Ceramics. If people express interest in my school work, I would gladly share. Karate has also become a large time commitment, I have class for 2 hours every night of the work week. I will be going for black belt candidacy in April, hopefully along side my fiancé (he's working really hard to catch up to brown belt). Damn money has been tight, and I'll admit an area of embarrassment for me.. yeah I still live with my parents (as does my fiancé). I don't work, and yeah.. I have like $5 in my wallet right now and nothing in the bank, soo..... not a whole lot of new art supplies finding their way into my room. (And that's also a cause for a little depression).
To those whom I owe large pieces, I want to do something better than originally agreed to hopefully apologize somewhat for the months (if not years) of waiting. I seriously can't apologize enough, and I understand if there are harsh feelings. I don't need a feel good parade of comments, really... if you're mad, please don't be afraid to express that, I completely understand. I hate being unreliable, and I hate being this kind of person... I'm better than that.

Posted 10 years agoHowdy y'all! Sorry that I've been fairly non-existent the past couple of months.
First I'd like to address those who have been patiently waiting for artwork from me. Namely Reptile and Furvus, the main hold ups are materials.. Reptile, I want to completely redo the original artwork, but I do not have good enough markers anymore (they are old and don't work well). And Furvus, I still don't have access to a good digital media. All others, please be patient, I have not forgotten about you.
As far as life goes, I just started my new semester. This time I am taking 2 studio classes, Drawing 2 and Digital Art 1. These will keep me somewhat busy.. but I think that I have enough time to make a deal with everyone.
Because I have like no money right now, and I haven't been posting ANYTHING... I'm pretty tired of it.
So my proposal is this:
I want to start a 10 for 10 weekend event.. and if there is enough interest I could be persuaded to increase the number of commission slots available each week. As previously stated, I don't really have any good materials right now (and the charcoal and crap for class is pretty expensive on it's own), all I can really do is pencil or pen drawings.
I want to offer 10 slots for $10 pencil sketches.
These are full body single character sketches. You chose the pose or theme.
Remember, because these are only $10 I will NOT do foreshortening, weapons, outrageous clothing, color, or backgrounds.
You must provide at least one good example of your character. More images = better accuracy.
I will do nudity.
Remember: my forte is male, muscular, and specifically canine. But I can do anything... but it might not be as good as what my forte is.

Are you scared, offended, amused..? I'll accept any opinions, but I'll also share mine.
I am offended. Even though I do not live in Germany, nor am pure German, I am the classic Aryan with about 75% pure German in me. If I were a real German, non-Aryan, I'd find this even more offensive. I get it... it's supposed to be funny and cute. But in all honesty, past the initial "lol wtf" moment, this is actually pretty disgusting.
I hate to rant about this, but this kid, white, Aryan, stereotypical German boy, robotic, kicking in the door like a damn Nazi... Not to mention, on top of making fun of Germans, it also makes fun of the accent and the way it is spoken (the commercial's text). I'm not trying to put a damper on anyone who thinks this is funny... but you know damn well that if it were depicting a little black boy who looks like he just came from an old plantation handing out fried chicken or watermelon candies, it would immediately have to be taken off the air.

I'm sorry, I just don't have the time to go through everything anymore. Been really busy with school and other things.
I really do feel bad about all the artwork that I owe people who have traded or have paid. You can always check the status of your piece at the bottom of the description on my profile. I promise all of you that I will finish those as soon as I possibly can.. but please just hold on a little longer until I get out of this school and get home.
I'll be moving back home and going to a school there to be closer to family and my boyfriend. My health, academic performance, faith, and relationships have suffered. Not only this, but I will be removing myself from the Engineering field, and will be entering art.. which I should be much happier with. I will also be looking for a job, which will take more of my time, but at least I'll feel productive. All of this should be good for me.

Possible Badge Commissions?

Posted 12 years ago I wanted to talk about the *future* fursuit I will be making of Trayton. This is going to be a very ambitious project and would like to discuss my ideas with you all.
This suit is realistic, I've thought about it a lot and have a good basic plan.

Inactivity! (What's wrong with me???!)
Posted 12 years ago Hey guys, first I want to apologize for my inactivity, and second I want to thank everyone who has been patient with me. There are a few of you who I have probably disappointed because I basically took a break from everything for a few months. I greatly apologize to these people and can fully assure each and every one of you that I will be working on my things very soon.
Perhaps as an explanation... I want to remind all of you that I just finished my first semester of college. And honestly, it sucked.. really bad. I'm doing very very badly, and my grades weren't the only thing that suffered from my problems. Like I said I haven't been here in a while, and there are people who are waiting on things from me. I just wasn't feeling great, I wasn't prepared to leave home and my boyfriend that soon out. I was depressed, anxious, and extremely anti-social. Like extremely...
I don't want to trouble all of you with what I was feeling, and I know it shouldn't matter... I mean, this is my job, I get paid to do it.
Anyway, I'm feeling better now that I've been home a few weeks. I got to talk everything out with everyone and I know that I have to try harder this next semester to raise my GPA up. I promise I'll get everything that is due to everyone who has oh so patiently been waiting. Thank you all for being so patient with me... this really doesn't usually happen.
Well, now moving away from that... I'm going to be attending TFF (Texas Furry Fiesta) in February with some good friends from the area. I hope if any of you are coming, you'll come take a picture with me, fursuit or not. I will be wearing my old Trayton partial suit. Now a tangent on this topic: I've been really thinking about and planning for a future full body muscle suit for Trayton, and I will be doing prototypes later on. I'm sorry about the quadsuit- that is officially put on hold, probably until after my Trayton suit. Ya know... I just found out that when I'm up at school I'm actually fairly close to Monoyasha... that would be awesome to go play around with them at some point and learn some things. <3
I personally find the Trayton suit I want to make very interesting, I don't know how many of you all do, :P A lot of the mechanics are secret, but I can tell you all what will be happening, etc... If you guys want. I'm pretty excited about it, and really want a better suit to play around in. I like my old Trayton suit, I think it's cool, and I did good for my first ever suit, but I could definitely spend more time and do a whole lot better on it.

Posted 12 years ago So I apologize to everyone. I was planning on working on commissions and trades as soon as I got home for the holidays, however, because of the weather in my area of Texas, my trip home has been postponed.
This is mainly due to the campus being closed and finals being set for different times.
I'm pretty upset about it. I really just want to go home. But here I am...
I decided to have some fun and go out with my car yesterday. All went fine, the ice was actually fairly easy to drive on, despite having a rear-wheel drive vehicle. But I did get my car stuck right at the entrance to my parking lot. It's actually kind of humorous looking, I'll post some pictures. I even took a video, but idk if I can post that, plus I fell in the video. lol.

Posted 12 years ago So I honestly think that the new youtube comment section isn't entirely bad. Sure there are some things that could be fixed. But the thing that pisses me off beyond belief is that people wont stfu about it. I hate not being able to see comments about the actual fucking video because people are spamming so bad.
On top of this, why do people think it's okay to post threatening messages with assault rifles, tanks, nukes, saying that the "bob" army is going to destroy google+? Really??? don't we have more important things to worry about?
BUT TO GET TO THE REAL POINT... I just saw the worst of it all.

Went to a concert in Austin this weekend with my boyfriend. Noah and the Whale are just fricken amazing. We waited for literally 5 hours before the show started just so we could be assured to be first. We got to be RIGHT in front of Charlie. Damn... what an awesome show.
If you don't know Noah and the Whale and you like Indie, you should totally look them up!

Scary ideas wanted. Bring your sickest mind set.
Posted 12 years ago So it is now one my aspirations in life to create a very very scary haunted house. Like one that could psychologically scar people. Of course they would sign a waiver, and they'd have to be 18+. Actors can touch them. I don't think there would a specific theme other than fear. I would want different rooms or obstacles forcing people to face their fears both physical and psychological.
This is where I need some ideas. I already have plenty really good ones, but I want to know from yall what your greatest fears are, or what you know people fear the most. And something that you know would actually scare you in a haunted house. (almost nothing can scare me, so I was coming up with situations I know I would be uncomfortable with).

~As I stated earlier, now that I am a poor and busy college student, my commission prices will be rising. This is also because often I find that I underprice myself and once I am completed it is worth more than I asked for, and being as no one knows how to tip, I will just be making my prices a little higher.~
Everything is hand drawn. (Traditional)
All will be drawn on 11*8 1/2" sizes paper, unless otherwise requested. Bigger paper will be more. Smaller paper will be less. $$$

ANYTHING $20+ I WILL SKETCH THEN CHECK IN WITH THE COMMISSIONER TO SEE IF IT'S WHAT YOU WANT.
I am becoming more lenient on the graphic nature of the artwork I will do.

Here's my schedule:
Mo: US GOV at 9. CHEM in ENG at 3.
Tu: HIST at 8. CHEM in ENG at 9:30. CALC at 11. CALC at 12:30. INTRO to ENG at 4.
We: GOV at 9. CALC at 1. CHEM at 6.
Th: HIST at 8. CHEM in ENG at 9:30. CALC at 11. CALC at 12:30.
Fr: GOV at 9.
I will usually wake up around 6am and go to bed around 10 pm.
Normal classes (Non-STEM) require approx. 2 hours of study outside of class time per hour of class. STEM courses (CHEM, CALC, INTRO) require approx. 3-4 hours of study per hour of class.
I will be one busy duck.
Check previous journal. Remember, I am not going to be continuing trades/commissions for at least another week until things get settled. I will have very little time, most of my commission time will take place on the weekends. I will be very busy with school work, and once I have cleared my que and waiting list, if I re open commissions the prices will have been raised.
