I know there's a huge difference between my normal cutesy stuff and my more questionable content, and I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable. Would people prefer I separated my kink related pictures onto another account?

Had two separate people ask me why I've switched to sketches recently so thought I'd make a journal about it. Basically, I've kind of a bum arm. It's an old injury that acts up sometimes, and now is one of those times

I wanna draw still though and it's easier to stop at the sketch stage instead of doing lineart and colour

So I hope no one minds less complete stuff for awhile!

Forgot to mention, my partner's parents are in town so I'm a little busy through the end of the month. Will probably be drawing less and it'll take me longer to reply to comments/messages (particularly discord, which my phone cannot run)

Title, do you use the keyword system here? Either for your uploads, or for clicking/searching for art to look at

I don't use the keywords because I never search with them either, but I could start. Would anyone PREFER I use keywords to make it easier to find things? Or do people generally not care?

Ten million OCs, tons of art drive, absolutely zero inspiration

It's kind of frustrating since I definitely want to draw, my brain just is not coming up with anything interesting

New OC designs don't count as inspiration right now, if I make new characters it means I've failed

So I'm pretty upfront that I RP a lot but I think I need to be more specific - I roleplay following previously agreed upon prompts and/or with friends, it mostly involves writing a story together. Yes sometimes it's kink adjacent/related, but none of these are sexual

Some of my RP friends I have known for years, and we're very familiar with each others' boundaries and interests by now

If you wanna come up with a story or characters together I'm definitely open to that! But I don't do casual *hugs you and purrs* style or sexy RP so please don't comment/message me about those

Also sorry if this seems like it's targeted AT a person, I'm not upset with anyone specifically, thought this was just a good time to address it

Follow up to journal from November and you might have noticed I am posting tons of art so I guess I needn't have worried

Everything feels so much less intense except art which feels completely out of control, I literally can't seem to stop drawing. SO really hope I'm not driving everyone nuts with the art submissions

I have tons of things I haven't even posted here yet. I'll probably just skip the human stuff since the non-uploaded stuff is really adding up

I used to like imgur but it's kind of become hard to use in the past few years. I've been using tumblr to give people full sized images but does anyone have any suggestions for better sites to use nowadays?

Bumping old journal, but also you might've noticed I'm doing more YCHs after years of not really offering any kind of commissions. As of last journal I'm feeling a lot more capable of completing art so I'm hoping to continue doing YCHs and maybe full commissions eventually

Hello here is an update journal, bits related to my art will be bolded if you want a TL;DR

Hand is recovering okay, looks like no lasting damage, it is still annoying to use (thank you to my partner for doing all the dishes) but it's getting to where I can draw comfortably

I am experiencing a not insignificant phobia of the mandoline now though - I'm talking dizzy and cold sweats and I have to leave the room if my partner is using it, so that's been less than ideal since it was a birthday gift for me >.> gotta work on fixing that

Due to needing slightly non-standard care I've been struggling to get a psychiatrist for years, but I've finally found one who is qualified to help with my specific issues. After a few visits she prescribed me new meds that I could not REMOTELY afford, and I was kind of distraught at hitting roadblock after roadblock with getting my mental health taken care of and I've just kinda been sulking about it for like three days

BUT after lots and lots of calls and asking for help and transferring pharmacies I got it down to a reasonable level that would not bankrupt me and am starting the new medicine today. I have no idea what this is gonna do to my artistic brain, sometimes psych meds sap the creativity so heads up for that if I just stop drawing anything or my art gets weird

Will probably post something about that if it's relevant?

My parrot flew at me while I was cleaning a mandoline slicer and the rest is very bloody history

Absolute mess but not ambulance worthy, I don't drive so I literally ran the mile to an urgent care center. Got patched up but they want me to make a follow up with an orthopedic hand specialist 'cause it looks gnarly and wasn't suture-able due to the stupid way I've cut it. Still they don't reckon it should actually have lasting damage

But I'm on a strict 'don't do ANYTHING' regimen until my bandages come off - so see you whenever that is!

Decided to stop here since the last one is kind of wholesome, and the ones I have left I'm less interested in, or I've more or less drawn already. I drew something almost every day up to this point and it's still a big victory for me, so I'm pretty happy

I've scrapped about half of them for now just because they were kind of taking over

Thanks for putting up with the change in art topic, doodles as usual will resume!

I'm also still working on a potential new bird fursona but am trying not to make rash decisions with it

Haven't really felt connected to Star space puppy for awhile, been feeling like I wanna go all out bird mode

The void crow is my go-to fursona but looks kind of weird against more traditional furry designs, and I have to be a bit more particular when getting commissions/trades. Considering making a normal anthro crow, so it would be a stylised void crow, and a normal anthro crow

But not sure if I wanna have it instead of space critter or just additional? Three is too many fursonas I think

It's been feeling like I'm posting into a void for awhile now

Not saying in a manipulative or blame sort of way to anyone, maybe FA is just different from some years ago, or maybe my content isn't what people feel like engaging actively with. Which is not that anyone is doing anything wrong, like I said this isn't a manipulation tactic and I don't want to act entitled or guilt anyone into feeling like they have to do anything

It can just be pretty disheartening to put stuff out there, art and journals, and not really get much feedback. I draw mostly what I want, so it's fair if no one else fancies it, but then it also doesn't feel much like it's worth putting up

I was sort of hoping that doing Kinktober might be something that did well here, but they're actually doing notably poorer than the usual stuff I post

Am just sort of venting I think, I'm not really sure where I'm going with this. I don't want to make any rash decisions like leaving or saying I'll stop uploading while I'm feeling low

I found a solid bunch of prompts that are mostly asexual-friendly for kinktober so I’m gonna give it a shot

The one I’m looking at is for writers but it works for what I want to draw so. Anything that is inherently sexual I’m just going to ignore and make up my own thing because it’s not like anyone is enforcing rules

EDIT: actually I'm just making my own list with a few borrowed from the one before. Not enough stuff I wanted to draw on the other

Not sure how many I'll get to. They'll all be mature or adult rated and I'll probably scrap them later but basically just a heads up I'll be doing at least some kinky arts for a bit

Aside from being a (drawing) artist, I'm also a prolific roleplayer and writer. I also don't post most of my unfinished sketches

Just because I don't appear to be 'using' a character actively doesn't mean they're abandoned, I might be using them in text or sketch format. Also sometimes my RPs are resumed after a very long time so characters might be in a sort of 'standby' mode, but again not abandoned

So mostly they are not for sale unless labeled, sorry!

(I'm not mad at anyone for asking to be clear, I just feel bad having to tell people no so much)

Also if I have a character you want ME to be drawing more of, please tell me! It's hard for me to tell what people like sometimes, and I might just not be drawing or posting pictures because I don't think people are interested in them

I want to look at art and I feel like a large percent of the things I click on turn out to be AI generated pieces

I hope FA finishes that blacklist option they're working on soon because this is kind of a nightmare

Hello happy almost-August

I've been doing a bunch of pose practice sketches lately that I think look pretty neat, and thought I might offer them up as YCHs if anyone's interested? This would be for next month

I don't often have commissions open so if you want one this would be a good way to get one!

Also since there's so many, let me know if you have specific YCH themes that you'd prefer
